[YEA] 11/15/2006: Becky from San Diego, CA writes: "My Dr. (at a very well know medical organization), he asked that I not tell anyone that he told me to try this instead of the prescription he could have given. Apparently the prescription stuff takes just as long to work approx. 3mos and cost a lot more and has bad side effects on other organs in your body. The Vicks Vapor Rub every night before bed rubbed on toes, covered with socks and WOW! What a find... Renewed my faith in my Doctor as well."

[YEA] 11/14/2006: Georgie from ACT, Australia writes: "I tried Vics Vapour Rub on my big toe that has been infected for 6 years. The next day my toe looked vastly improved. The procedure that I used was cleaning my toenail with white vinegar with a toothbrush. Make sure you try and get down between the nail and the skin. I then rubbed Vicks over the toe and covered it with a sock. I repeat this every morning and night."

[NAY] 10/10/2006: Eric from Houston writes: "Vics = nothing, but bleach toenail fungus if it could penetrate the nail (See below). I have fungus -- 3 toes on one foot, and two on another and I tried the vapor rub fairly diligently with no success for several months. I gave up and wasn't putting anything on it for a while then the big toe nail got bumped on a couch and came completely off, so I tried some bleach on all toes for several months. The big toe is about 80% grown in looking healthy, while the others nails don't look any better. I concluded that the bleach absolutely works, but doesn't penetrate the nails well. So I think the next step will be to file off as much of the other nails as I possibly can and see what that does."

[YEA] 10/08/2006: Beauch writes: "Instead of going through the tedious process of some fungus remedies, try smearing Vic's Vapor Rub on the affected area. If treating an area on the hands, put gloves on so the Vapor Rub won't rub off on everything you touch (if you're doing it at night, it'll prevent the stuff from getting all over your sheets). I prefer cotton gloves—they breathe nicely. I tried this remedy and within 3 days: gone! Prior to this attempt I tried Lamisil for one week. That didn't work, so I tried Tinactin. That didn't work either. For some strange reason though, Vic's Vapor Rub has cured it! Makes the skin soft too, and the nails are very healthy"
07/22/2008: Jennifer (youtheditor@hotmail.com) from NY, NY replies: "hi y'all: canu tell me the procedure apply vicks overnite, wear gloves and booties and wash away with apple cider vinegar? how many days?thx!!! jb: p.s. I see that they are "Nays" where can one read them?"

[YEA] 09/01/2006: Armarylis from Kalamazoo, MI writes: "I have been suffering with toe nail fungus for as long as I can remember. I I bought that Rid X gel stuff that was supposed to guarantee that the toe nail fungus would be gone. Used it for almost 7 months with no real results. I was fed up one day when I looked at my right toe nail and was about to cry. I didn't know what to do. I then did a google search and came across this website. I looked at all the recommendations but like the idea (I had never thought this would work) about the Vicks Vapor Rub and the Apple cider vinegar. I had a can of Vicks in my bathroom and went to the store the next day to get the vinegar. I saw result in 2 days. I was completely amazed. Trust me, my condition had to have been the worst on record. I had athlete's foot to boot as well. After only a week of soak my feet in straight ACV the foot infection had left leaving soft, feet. I hadn't had that in year either. My toenails cuticles were softening and the cuticles on my baby toenails were overgrown so much (I'm embarrassed to say) I thought they were a part of my toenail!! The soak with the ACV had gotten rid of them and my feet look SOOO much better. I have only been doing the regimen for 2 weeks and the results are amazing. For anyone who has been skeptical about any remedies on this website, please try this one. I have never been able to wear sandals, because my sister used to talk about my feet. After a week on this therapy I showed my sister my feet and she said, "They have come a long way." She actually touched my feet. She was also amazed and the huge difference it makes. Please try this remedy!!!! Thank God for whoever thought of this. I am a believer and I thank you oh, so much!! I will be wearing sandals next summer for sure now!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU"
07/19/2008: Jim from Los Angeles, USA replies: "I tried the Lamisil for 3 months ago and It didn't do a thing. I will try the vicks, I'm tied of hiding my feet."

[YEA] 06/09/2006: John from Peoria, AZ writes: "My wife had heard from her nail tech that vaporub could treat nail fungus. I had tried nearly a year of Diflucan with good success, but the condition returned. I was not anxious to try another systemic treatment with potential liver toxicity, so went with the vaporub for a few weeks. After stopping the therapy, I noticed that my nail on my smallest toe was clear for the first time in years! I re-initiated the treatment (twice a day with a toothbrush) and my other two infected nails are looking much better. The big toenail is almost grown out and I will continue treatment for a month or more after everything looks clear in hopes of preventing recurrence."

[YEA] Greg from Carneys Point, NJ writes: "I have been dealing with toe nail fungus for over 10 years. I have used all the over the counter medications and even did 6 months of spornax. Nothing helped. Over the past year I have been using Vicks Vapor rub applied in the evening when I go to bed and then cleaned the following morning with apple cider vinegar. My nails are clean and clear with no more cracks or rough edges and no more crust under the nail. This is a very inexpensive way to treat this problem."

I have suffered with this complaint for many years and the fungus had turned the whole of the nail white. I was amazed that such a simple remedy would get rid of something that the medical profession could not."

VINEGAR, SOCKS AND SHOES IN THE FREEZER
[YEA] 03/29/2008: Robin (robinlittle@gmail.com) from New Mexico, USA writes: "I was reading the oil pulling pages, and saw that so many people were plagued with cracking heels, and I felt bad because I know how to make it go away. You just put vinegar on the cracked heel everyday for 6 months without missing a day, and place your socks and shoes in the freezer for 24-48 hours from time to time. This will also heal nail fungus, itchy ears, athletes foot, and dandruff, (just put it on a little while before shampoo-ing, then rinse with vinegar/water dilute). Anything yeasty where you can stand to put vinegar. You of course would have to dilute it to treat vaginal yeast infections."

[YEA] 08/28/2007: Margo from New York, New York writes: "I hurt my big toe nail when I was 12, then it got infected. I am 30 now and for the past 18 years I removed my bit toe nail 3 times, I used a lot of different creams and took limisil twice (each time 3 months) During last five years, my second big toe got infected , then two other nails. I became desperate. So this summer I did the search online and found that white vinegar can cure the fungus. I start to follow the suggested procedure: twice a day put couple of drops on the matrix of the toe. Right away I started to note the results. First my small toes and now after 18 years I finally start to see clear nail near the matrix! Hope this information will help others. Also, please note I’ve read that only white 5% vinegar is good for this procedure, apple cider vinegar doesn’t help."

WHITE VINEGAR, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
[YEA] 12/10/2007: Harrier from Long Beach, CA writes: "The website where this was original quoted from is http://askwaltstollmd.com/wwwboard/wwwboard.html
Dr Stoll doesn't mind people using his methods and letting others know. I had bad toenails and used that approach and it all cleared up. Using the two drops at the base allows the white distilled vinegar to absorb through the nail and change the PH under the nail. By using only two drops you also prevent excess moisture from remaining under the nail. You need to apply twice a day 12 hours a part. In about six weeks, you should begin to see a thin clear nail at the base. After 6 months, your nail should grow out. Once the nail grows out, you should continue applying for about three more months. The major mistake people make is forgetting to remain consistant and missing a treatment or applying to much. For that reason cotton schwabs are also recommended. One dunk for each foot. This treatment does take a while and is 100% effective if you do it corretly and have virtually no expense. For some it has taken two and a half years, most cases are cured between 9 months and a year. Once your nail is infected, Dr Stoll feels you must grow healthy nail to push out the bad nail. Another recommendation is to drink two Tablespoons of ACV with apple juice or water twice a day. This helps treat fungus. Remember white distilled vinegar on the outside and Apple Cider Vinegar orally. Not the other way around."

[YEA] 03/26/2007: Ellen from Redwood Shores, California writes: "To Allen regarding Cornmeal: For several months last summer, I used the same cornmeal treatment. I made progress and got lazy. I probably used it about 10 times. 7-10 days apart. Now I am doing it once again. I started a month ago and have used it 3 times. My toenails never fell off. You used it only 3 times??? I have a 35 year old infection. I do know it works, it's just keeping up with the weekly soaks-- it takes so much time!"
