Blood Pressure

Hi, I suffer with pain in my hips and lower back, and my balance is not good. I'm pretty ancient and perhaps should accept that this is part of the aging process, but like all of us I want to live an interesting and pain free life. An MRI scan has been done, and it was found that I do not have arthritis. I think I've taken every supplement going to help with the pain and lack of balance, but to no avail. A few years ago I did try taking MSM, and at the time discovered it did not suit me, though cannot now remember why I discontinued it. This last week and a half I decided to take it again, starting with half a teaspoonful a day, but on checking my blood pressure I've had readings of around 167/87. Today I decided not to take it, and my BP had dropped to 130/80. Has anyone else found that MSM raises their BP? Half a teaspoonful is very low compared to some who take three tablespoonfuls a day or more, so I cannot understand why it should affect my BP so dramatically. I understand that it is very safe to take.

Good morning, I have chronic pain (fibromyalgia) and I started taking Threshold Real MSM last Friday. Since I've started taking it, I found that my BP spiked up considerably. I have hypertension 2 and it's usually under control. I'm going to try and take only 1 a day and then see if there is any difference because I'm not even sure if it is because of Threshold tablets.
