Fulvic Acid Benefits: Boost Health Naturally

Posted by Jeff (Cebu City, Philippines ) on 08/04/2011

Recently, my mom bought some oranges and when I offered to make some fresh juice for her, she declined, saying that it makes her asthma act up almost immediately. I'm not sure why that is. So out of curiosity, I added a few drops of fulvic acid into the juice and it started fizzing. She drank it after that and we waited for a while to see if her asthma would act up. It never did! I don't know what the fulvic acid neutralized in the juice but it sure worked!

I don't know the rule here but love reading on this site and I've tried several cures so far, including oil pulling.

I discovered fulvic acid a couple years ago and buy mine (I won't name the product) from morningstar minerals in new mexico, usa. There is supposedly a big deposit in new mexico.

I love to grow my own organic vegatables and they sold me a huge bag, maybe 25lbs for like $12. Hec, it costs more than twice that cost to ship it across country to maryland where I live. I sprinkle the humic acid pieces.... Which look like big, poor ground chunks of coffee beans..... In my garden every winter. I "very litely" sprinkle it around my lettuces, beets, tomato plants, etc..... So it dissolves in the soil and the roots of the plant uptake it..... And I eat it and the veggies should have a higher mineral content.

The fulvic acid supplement is supposed to give energy and be an amazing electrolyte. It also has amino acids in it. I don't take it daily but occasionally I add some to distilled water.

I'm more interested in getting higher mineral content to my veggies.

I'm hooked on making green smoothies and every day I bottle up chopped up organic beet roots and leaves, kale, spinach, brocolli, carrots, swiss chard..... Apples, pineapples, peach, orange, kiwi, banana and more. I vary the recipe but its NOT juiced where the pulp is removed. I am full and don't eat as much and booming with energy.

I think the fulvic minerals add to the energy.

Do a web search on fulvic deposits in new mexico, usa and you should find out more about it. I am only ending my first full year of using it as a soil additive to my garden. In theory, its going to help recondition the soil and make my veggies way more vitamin and mineral rich.

My problem is that I do not know how to mix it. My seller in china speaks broken english and his mixing instructions seem waaaaay too strong.

Fulvic Acid does not have a standard for measuring the concentration by chemical testing. The standard is to judge the concentration by comparing the color (colormetric) to a chart, When your color matches up with the chart then you have a relative idea of the concentration. I have been involved with the agricultural side of the 12 molecules that make up the humic or humate complex. I buy a concentrate that is almost black in color that is sold to me as a 3% by weight solution. There is a specific molecular weight to the Fulvic molecule and this is the way I buy material for cropping uses. I can tell you that if the liquid you buy is golden that it has already been cut by probably close to 100:1. Most times I see a product offered that has been cut 150:1 and is more the color of iced tea in the north. At this rate we would use a quart to the acre for growing crops. For human consumption, you can make your own determinations. Thanks for all your contributions, it helps find out what actually does work.

One of the cheapest and most bio-available sources of fulvic acid is Blk water. It can be purchased in most health/grocery stores. It is purified fulvic/humic trace mineral complex + spring water from near Polar Wisconsin. Since it's already in a liquid form, I believe that it's the best source of fulvic/humic acid (Shilajit). The mythology (which always contains truth) is rich and vast concerning the healing potential of this substance. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is at the top of the list as far as healing, detox, and longevity.

Regarding fulvic/humic acids: the general subject of mineral deficiencies are discussed by Dr. Joel Wallach in his book Rare Earths, Forbidden Cures. This was printed many years ago prior to the 'invasion' of colloidal mineral products in the marketplace.Basically the author states that the world has become very depleted of minerals due to many reasons from erosion to poor farming practice. The U.S. for example is approx 85% deficient! Austrailia is approx 57%, etc. I don't know how these studies were tested. The point being that we are severely lacking in bio-available minerals. I have known some that drink clay, or granite dust water,(Hunzas & others),etc. Rudolf Steiner in the early century used granite dust as a soil amendment with amazing results.Another great book titled 'Secrets of the Soil' avail used on Amazon is a good read & I think the author is Christopher Bird. Someone mentioned salt as a cheap alternative & it is important to mention that real salt is air/sun dried & without chemical additives or heavy processing. Grinding of the salt causes nickel to be present in the end product if the mfgr uses such composite metals for grinding. Most 'popular' sea salts are not necessarily quality. Search the net for info & sources. Dr. David Brownstein has written a great book on salt & it is avail used on Amazon. He has researched the topic for many years & recommends in his practice. I am not connected with any of the sources mentioned. The only one mentioned who has a mineral product is Dr. Joel Wallach & this is many years after the book was written due to people asking for sources. The person on EC who recommended wu jin san is most likely selling or associated with it as it has a sales tone & the person is from the same source area in Ore. My chinese sister-in-law is a OMD and never heard of it,not that she has heard of everything. The label states "fulvic acid in PURE rainwater from the sea".Rainwater "from the sea" sounds odd to me as I cannot imagine how the rain & sea waters are differentiated.Suffice to say there are many claims in the mineral marketplace, so buyer beware. Most of the colloidal sources in the U.S. are in Utah & share the same mining area with private labeling. I used to sell colloidals many years ago & the markup is great. One quart costs about $5-$6.00, wholesales for $12.00 & retails for up to $40.00! Grossly speaking your are getting mined decomposed vegetation that is placed in an acid bath & sold. Of course there are other steps in the process, but this is simplified. We can't eat dirt because we are not plants, so we eat the plants.Make sense? I don't know how we can absorb minerals from clay unless it is taken with an acid, but clay is primarily taken for detox because like charcoal it is highly absorbant of toxins & non-toxins such as minerals, flora, etc. which need to be replenished. If one wants a good cheap magnesium supplement, soak the feet or body in epsom salts. Magnesium is best absorbed through the skin.A Dr. Sircus has plenty of free info on the subject of transdermal magnesium application. Thank you EC for this forum. Hugs!

Hi George450 from Cerritos, Ca.

I am currently taking fulvic acid. Like you, I had no guidance in which one is the best to take. I am only on week 2, way to soon to report anything. I am planning on reporting after 3 months use.

My health complaint at this time is bursitis in my left shoulder, which runs all the way down past my left elbow. For some reason I have very weak tendons. About 7 years ago, I had tennis elbow in my right arm, and it took about 5 years for it to completely recover. I am trying to speed up the progress using fulvic acid, because like most health issues I know it is due to some kind of deficiency.

I am a long time Earth Clinic reader, a big fan of this site. I will report my results, good or bad, but only in due time, unless of course the ailment recovers before hand. Peace, Rena.

The amount of humic acid in peats are so small you cannot do it. Most humic acids and fulvic acid are extracted from near ancient prehistoric deposits on top of coal. In coal mining they resemble a very low grade for heating purposes only, bituminous coal deposits.

However, humic acid are softer than bituminous coal deposits for which they are extracted with humic acid. You cannot do it from extracting from peats, it takes many tons of peat just to get only a handful of fulvic acid or humic acid. The best way to make money from fulvic acid is to mix them into fertilizer to improve the uptake of minerals by the plant.

It causes fertilizer chemical to be biologically available. To date there is no fertilizer chemicals
using this process, but it works well.

I am doing the Candida Protocol and a few days ago I took a couple of drops of Optimally Organic Fulvic in distilled water. A couple hours later I was throwing up and having sharp pains in my abdomen. It took two days for my stomach to feel right again. Felt lousy, no appetite. So I ordered Wu Jin San and today I mixed the lowest dose 0.5 oz in 6 oz of distilled water...and again a couple hours later I was throwing up and having sharp pains. I could not even hold a sip of water down, it's like my stomach just shut down and was rejecting anything. After several hours of misery I sipped a tiny bit of water with a little baking soda in it and felt some relief. What am I missing about Fulvic? Are there some people it is simply contradictory for?

I would like to know if someone have used fulvic acid from mineral logic http://www.fulvicmineral.com/? they have very much information on their site and have done several laboratory analyses, they even claim to have tested many other companies products and gives results to those analysis showing how their product is superior respect others. I am using Optimally Organics fulvic acid and mineral logic states on their site that it Optimally organics has very high cadmium level on their product. I wrote to Optimally organics about that claim and they responded that they are aware of that false claim and their legal team is on to that. So it seemed to me that mineral logic has great product and they even own the fulvic acid deposit and harvest, extracts and manufactures their product but are they making false claims about other companies products or are they real and others are making false claims about their own product...

The other thing is that mineral logic doesn't sell their product on the site and when I emailed them to know where to buy it I got no answer. After second email they had redirected my email to arcadiasupplements.com who wrote me that they handle distribution of mineral logics fulvic acid. So If someone has used arcadiasupplements e-lite fulvic acid, please let me know was it effective.

Was only using a drop and then up to 3 a day, however it wiped me out, headaches, fatigue, wakefulness, and general stomach achiness. I wasn't nauseous, and it seemed to constipate me. I also thought perhaps I had food poisoning. I mistakenly started it at the same time I was taking a strengthening herb mix, as well as a green formula and liver formula ( Exsula), so it;s hard to tell what might have caused it. Stomach still not right 3 days later. Slowly getting better. Will attempt to introduce slowly after symptoms subside.

Fulvic Acid is yellow in color, however it shouldn't have any taste whatsover. If it does, then most likely it is not pure and chemicals have been added. Pure Humic is Black in Color and should also be tasteless if its pure. There's a company Regeneration USA that sells Humic & Fulvic Minerals which are I believe the purest available and aid in dealing with a host of issues from acid reflux, digestion problems, it also re-mineralizes the body and assits in removing toxins from the body. Hope this helps

Re: silajit, though it may be harmless in its pure form, at least one Indian manufacturer on the UK market has been done because their product was full of added heavy metals. Six months later: product still being quietly sold on the UK market via various websites. It's one of those things I'd love to try if I could find a guaranteed pure source for it, but as things stand, I'm very wary - it may just make things worse.

I've found fulvic acid products a bit too strong in the past, though I seem to tolerate them better now. One alternative is moor mud, dug out of an Austrian bog and pasteurised. Absolutely delicious, but criminally expensive, at least in the quantities that I am drinking it. The moor mud sold for baths is a quarter of the price, but I have to figure out how to replicate the effects of pasteurisation without just boiling it to death (part of the goodness of the moor mud is in the bacteria, so I'm reluctant to kill the lot) - any bright ideas on this front?

Optimally claims their Fulvic is alkaline, but the pH on test sheet shows 1.26 (acidic). In water that has organic material can claim they have Fulvic, but the ancient material comes from humic acid>>then you extract the Fulvic acid. If they are using distilled water for extraction, you can't get an alkaline end product. Be careful with these companies that claim to be the best in the world has been my experience. I balance the soil with the help of these fine products to help Mother Nature build a healthy soil> Then I have a healthy crop, and Bovines eat it and they become healthy etc.
