Tetrasodium EDTA
Posted by Jacobo (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on 03/14/2010

I just purchased some EDTA in the form of Tetrasodium Hydrate 98%. I've seen the suggested use of 1/16 teaspoon, but is this also valid for 98% EDTA? I don't want to accidentally kill myself.

Soapgoods.com has EDTA among many other natural home products and supplies; Although I don't know about international shipping policies.

After reading Mr.Ted's writings, I tried to buy a few materials such as Sodium Bicarbonate, Potassium Bicarbonate and Methylene Blue. Their grades are ep or gr. Ep means extra pure. Gr means garanteed pure(the best grade available). However, the owner of the chemicals store said I can't eat them even though they are gr grade. That is because they are made impure with additives.

Is it true that i can't use sodium bicarbonate of gr grade internally? Another question. Can I use methylene blue of ep grade internally?

It seems Ted's suggested use of disodium edta and tetrasodium edta is hard to find. Does anyone know where to find this type ? Thanks JP

I just purchased disodium edta capsules from Wonder Laboratories online. I got 250 - 625mg capsules for around $20. I started taking them three days ago and I've never felt better! I can hear better than ever too, not sure why but I don't care either. It's awesome!

Milk of Sulphur

this is for Ted or any one who could answer it. I have heard of milk of sulphur. If anyone has heard of it and where it can be found please let me know. I think it is a blood cleanser. Thanks

Milk of Sulphur
Posted by Maureen (Royal Palm Beach, Fl) on 05/10/2010

I found it in an oriental store in the Bronx. They only had 2 bottles. Some asian stores have it as well but not at the time I went to get it this weekend. Apparently, with Whitfield Ointment together this helps the white spot on your skin. I'm going to try it for my daughter to see if it works. I will try the oriental stores in Florida to see if any carry it.

Sodium Carbonate
Posted by Deb (Greenville, Sc) on 11/30/2009

I have a question about the sodium carbonate. Do you get it at a swimming pool store, or the grocery, I think you said Arm and Hammer Washing soap or something is it a laundry detergent? And just use the regular borax detergent in the liter of water? So far just the ACV and baking soda with the H202 have started to help with general aches of muscle pains in the first couple of days just don't want to use the wrong product! Thanks, Deb

Posted by Alain (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) on 11/30/2009

Sodium carbonate (also known as washing soda, soda crystals or soda ash), In Canada, Arm and Hammer Washing Soda contains additives. It might not be the case in USA. Check with the company. Some health food stores may also sell washing sodas. Always check if the product contains additives. Some swimming pool products are sodium carbonate. As said before, always check for purity.

Washing soda is sodium carbonate.

I purchased 1 lb of the sodium carbonate from nutsonline.com under the baking category. I know some people are paranoid (Armour Hammer as washing soda), I was too. Just in case you want to share with other Earthclinic readers.

Sodium and Potassium Citrate

Is there anyone out there taking the 1/2 t. sodium citrate and 1/2 t. potassium citrate that Ted recommends for acid reflux? If so please tell us where to find it. Ted doesn't answer my emails and I'm still looking for a place to buy it. I can only find the potassium citrate in capsule form. Please help.

Thanks,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, I was wondering why you wanted those two products, now I see it is for acid reflux. Have you checked out all the other remedies on Earth Clinic for acid reflux? They are much simpler to find, like apple cider vinegar or apples, for starters! Sorry I can't help you. I like to stick to the most natural remedies for my issues. Good luck to you.

Sodium and Potassium Citrate
Posted by Devonviolet (York, Pa) on 04/15/2011

Carolyn,

I see that this was written in 2009, so you may have found an answer to your query, about where to buy Sodium and Potassium Citrate. I have been looking for Potassium Citrate, and while I have found several sources, in capsule form, the bulk, powdered form is not as readily available. However, I did just find a source on eBay. The seller is: The Chemistry Connection. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Chemistry-Connection.

They are each available in one pound bags.

After many weeks of trying to hunt down Sodium Carbonate from local stores, I found the beer and wine making supply store to carry "Soda Ash" which is the same thing and costs very little.

Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) can be found at local stores but you can also find a natural or organic one in some better markets for a little more money. Not sure how much less chemicals and/or metals is in the latter but I can tell you it tastes much better and disolves easily compared to the most common household baking soda.

Calcium Disodium EDTA
Posted by Ed (Bangkok, Thailand) on 05/16/2009

Live in Bangkok and trying -unsuccessfully- to locate a supply of food grade Calcium Disodium EDTA, kilo bags, half kilo. Ted in Bangkok can you please help.... spent many many hours searching the internet... no luck at all. Thanks... Ed

Calcium Disodium EDTA
Posted by Ted (Bangkok, Thailand) on 05/17/2009

Dear Ed:

Most suppliers here in Thailand do not sell calcium EDTA. They sell only disodium EDTA. To make calcium EDTA, I get disodium EDTA and mixed with calcium carbonate to get calcium EDTA, and magnesium carbonate with disodium EDTA to get magnesium EDTA. A local supplier here sells Magnesium EDTA.

Ted

Calcium Disodium EDTA

I have been looking for it too, I like the bathtub cleaning tip. However, I read that trying to chelate metals using this is dangerous and you can overdo it. I read that it is sometimes found in laundry detergent.

Calcium Disodium EDTA
Posted by Lee (Winchester, Uk) on 11/07/2013

Its not easy finding a reliable supply of EDTA in the UK, there are some tablets available for sale but I don?t hold much stock with them. I have been using a liquid chelate for detoxing from heavy metals I encountered in my work environment. I?m a potter and many of the glazes used contain heavy metals that overtime with a lackadaisical attitude unfortunately built up in my system, resulting in some pretty unplesant side effects. I seriusly started to investigate what products where available for helping to remove these heavy metals and discoverd a website in the UK that specialises in products for detecting and removing heavy metals. Here's the link if anyone else is interested: http://www.novadetox.co.uk/acatalog/chelating-agent-edta.html

I feel I need to reply to my first post and mention that this company sells three different grades of Sodium Carbonate. Also another way to get 100% Sodium Carbonate is from Arm & Hammer All Natural Super Washing Soda. You can verify the ingredient for this product at www.thelaundrybasket.com

Question on Ted's Common Remedy:

I see this remedy prescribed all the time, but can someone tell me how one goes about getting these three things? What are they exactly, and where would one find it? Thanks.

"The remedy is 1/4 teaspoon of sodium carbonate plus 1/4 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate plus 1/8 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate (or potassium citrate."
