I make a bloodroot salve that is great on skin tags if you catch them when they first pop up. As far as getting rid of older ones, I'm not so sure. It may work, but the friend who is trying it has been at it awhile with no noticable difference.

yes i have tried the bloodroot paste on many things. i 1st used it on a weird lump i had on my thigh.my doctor had told me it was just fibers under my skin and not to worry, but i had to get rid of it, it just nagged me to be there. so i did a search and thought bloodroot paste might work. and guess what it did. it also got rid of my skin tags. and 1 time out of 5 it left a scar. i think its because i bandaged it with, because the other times i didn't and it left nothing..

You can still buy it at: !! But it comes in 2 parts and you have to mix it yourself. Very helpful also. I don't think I read this source here, but I didn't read every single post either. Just in case:

My husband did try it on a rather large skin tag. It was difficult to cover w/bandaid. It got really gross also but one day it turned BLACK!! and eventually fell off. I guess the tag was too large (about 1/2 inch long???) so he had to do it again. Both time it definitely was painful. But it now is just a little bump but always pink. I don't think he wants to try it anymore. He cut off another one that was smaller and that was the easier way to go.

I used Iodine on a couple of small skin tags under my eyes. The Iodine seemed to work for awhile but made the tags much larger and hard. They looked terrible. I could not wait for them to fall off, so I went to the Doctor and had them removed. The Doctor informed me that the Iodine inflamed the tags and made them larger and unsightly. I would still use Iodine, but would not treat tags where they were visible.

After going to a dermatologist and explaining how a skin tag, which I thought was a mole, was constantly getting snatched with the seatbelt each time I buckled up.... The dermatologist told me that she would be right back, at that point her office assistant came in and explained that it would cost $75 dollars to remove that one skin tag, and that for $375 the doctor could remove all of them for me.... I gladly told them I would think about it. After some soul searching and remembering my Mom telling about the Iodine years ago.... I with the luck of fate, found this site and tried decided to give it a try. I applied the clear Iodine for a week, once in the morning and once in the evening.... I need to note that I noticed a tingle so I just keep at it and in one week my skin tag just fell off. Car rides are a dream, no more ouch.... Thanks for being here, what a wonderful resource, I will use this website and recommend it to all I know.

A skin tag had developed on the side of my neck about 2 maybe 3 years ago. It was a rather small protrusion but in the last 2 weeks I noticed that it seemed to have increased in size and I became a bit more concerned than I had been previously. I read a few testimonies your website how some people used iodine to remove moles so I thought what's the worst that could happen. I applied iodine for about 3 days and what can I say... it worked.

Painted iodine cured my tag and wart. Both dried up and fell off but you must be consistent - apply 2 or more times daily for a month before giving up. Surrounding skin area can be tender, so be careful to coat just the tag or wart.

The skin tag was on the upper eye lid.. kinda in the fold. After reading the info I started using Lugol's iodine on the affected area. I applied Lugol's Iodine with a Q-Tip to a good sized skin tag on the upper eye lid in the fold. The tag was good sized so it took approximately two weeks before it dropped off. During the process it did sting a bit.. But it WORKED!!! Thank you Earth Clinic!

Iodine is excellent for toenail fungus, ringworm, fever blisters, moles and skin tags, hangnails, etc. Just a few drops on a q-tip is all it takes. Use daily until the "boo-boo" is gone.

I had a raised mole to come up on my face and several skin tags to appear under my arm. I was embarrassed by the mole on my face, but didn't have the money to have it removed. Using a q-tip, I rubbed iodine on both the mole and skin tags at night before going to bed. Within 3 to 7 days the skin tag dried and fell off while the mole went away. I have shared this information with my sister who has removed several as well.

Well, I have tried and am still trying the iodine remedy for skin tags. I have 12 skin tags around my neck and under my arms. I'm using tincture of iodine on them twice daily. There was absolutely no visible results after a week of use. After 1 1/2 weeks one tag fell off. It has been 2 weeks, now and one more tag appears to be dried up and near the point of falling off. Two others are beginning to dry up but nowhere near disappearing. The others don't appear to be affected as yet. I'm still using the iodine with hopes that it will eventually remove all of them. It sure isn't doing it in 3 days to a week as I had read. I'll report further later.
