Raised mole / Seborrheic Keratosis

I had a spot on the side of my face. I tried baking soda and tee tree oil and it flared up to what looked like a burn. After a few days the scab fell off and the spot is still there. Suggestions of what to do next since a bit nervous now of using anything and dont want to go to a dermatologist?
