Take a half-teaspoon of powdered ginger or up to an ounce (about 6 teaspoons) of fresh ginger as a tea once a day. Research shows that ginger helps relieve arthritis pain, probably because of its ability to increase blood circulation, which ferries inflammatory chemicals away from painful joints.

Reduce Oxalates
Posted by Ella (London ) on 04/26/2025

Dear Earth Clinic,

Took me a while to put two and two together but I noticed an undeniable connection with my joint pain and my diet whenever I consumed foods high in oxalates. (Oxalates can also cause bladder problems so some people might benefit from a bit of research on this.) Potato skins are the worst food for my joints. They are high in oxalates and also nightshade compounds which can also trigger joint pain. At my worst point, and in sheer desperation, I undertook a low oxalate diet, drank plenty of water, and noticed an improvement in my symptoms within a week.

Extra tips -

If someone is suffering joint pain in their toes and feet and if they notice relief after taking olive leaf extract, they may in fact have gout. Reducing fructose should help with gout.

Infected teeth may initiate joint pain. Gently biting on freshly cut pieces of garlic on problematic teeth for a minute or two should control infections within problematic teeth. Lemongrass oil mouthwash is effective at killing toxic mouth bacteria.

Good luck.
