I bought Carditone by the brand Ayush Herbs. My blood pressure has been out of control for weeks even taking 3 prescription meds Enalapril 10 mg Labetalol 200 mg and Hydralazine 100 mg my blood pressure has been around the 200/100 range for a few weeks even taking beetroot powder & L-Arginine.

On the 25th of April 2022, I started taking Carditone, 1 pill the first day. No difference. But on the second day, it dropped to 170/78 pulse 71 and this was in the morning at 9:38 I took the Carditone around 6 am I can't wait to see what it's like in the morning. Great stuff. I believe I bought mine on eBay.

Larry,

Thank you for your quick feedback! That is an amazing reduction in just two days considering that you were 200/100 for weeks with your prescription meds and supplements!

Did you stop the other supplements and meds you were taking for blood pressure control?

Larry,

I forgot to mention, if you read the label of the Carditone bottle under "Suggested Use", it says to take it at night.

Carditone Q&A

Posted by sheila (Nebraska) on 12/06/2023

carditone dosage/other meds/question for Art

I am going to try Carditone. I am currently on Coreg, and it has been increased since my blood pressure is not controlled on my lower dosage. Can I take the Carditone and my lower dose of Coreg at the same time? I believe my cardiologist (from past experience) will be very unsupportive of me taking anything not from a big Pharma source. Those of you who have taken it and gotten results, did you just add it to your current list and watch or go off your meds? Did you tell your doctor?I intend to be very intent and faithful in taking my blood pressure at home. Thanks in advance.....

Hi Sheila,

I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you what my two friends and myself did. The three of us had stopped our hypertension medication because it was not working and we decided to try Carditone and fortunately, it worked for all three of us.

Another EC community member reported that he was on two other blood pressure medications which were not fully controlling his blood pressure. He decided to stop both of the meds and started Carditone, which he said did not work for him, so he went back on his two meds and then added Carditone with his two meds and he said that finally controlled his blood pressure.

Thank you, Art. I am waiting for my bottle from the company. I believe the bottle I got on amazon was counterfeit after looking at the warnings/pictures on the ayush site. I'm not sure if I'll get reimbursed for the bottle I received from amazon. I will keep EC advised as to my experience. I asked my compound pharmacist, and she said to remember to check my bp whilst on the Carditone (duh). My blood pressure is high 156/90 most mornings. I take my medicine and it goes down to acceptable levels. Do you have any idea why it would be high overnight? The only thing I can think of is the hours between my meds? I used to have low pressure but in the last few years it's gotten higher. I am taking beet capsules at the present time, also. I know I put questions in the middle of this....sorry. I so appreciate you being so generous with your time and knowledge. Do you have a practice or do telecare visits?

Hi Sheila,

Some times the medications or supplements simply can't control the blood pressure. This is the likely reason why there are so many different hypertension meds and dosage levels as discussed here :

Donna O.,

All three of us were off are prescription blood pressure meds. I think the combination will be too much and not a good thing, but you should check with your doctor to be as safe as possible.

Do NOT mix herbal BP lowering products with prescription bp drugs.

You will stand the risk of lowering your BP below 105 which is as dangerous as an extreme high reading. STROKE zone below 105. If anything back off your prescription bp meds.

with an every other day dose as you ease into a daily all natural routine.

1/2 tsp beetroot powder in a 8oz glass of water sweetened to taste works within 30 minutes to lower bp by several points. If not increase the dose to 3/4 teaspoon or even to a flat to full teaspoon. Start small and figure it out. It works! 100% pure beet root powder "Amazon"

One dose a day works for 24 hours for most people. If you are prone to stones drink an extra glass of pure water about an hour after taking the beet root juice. If needed drink a glass of this miracle juice 2 x a day. You will get off your prescription meds. Beet root powder is also a GREAT antioxidant.

Fast from 10pm-10am or even to noon 7 days per week if possible.

Brisk Walk 20-30 minutes daily without stopping if possible.

dibro,

Prior to going on Amlodipine, I was on beetroot powder and it did lower my blood pressure, but not as effectively as Carditone and that is why I tried the Amlodipine that my doctor prescribed and ultimately Carditone to finally find something that normalized my blood pressure.

I take 40 mg of Lisinopril and 2.5 mg of Amlodipine Besylate for high blood pressure. How does one tell his VA doctor about Carditone? Do I stop taking my medications when I start taking Carditone? I had a TBI while serving in the Air Force and was in a coma for 16 days. Most VA doctors frown on taking a supplement for high blood pressure and I'm not sure on how to go about changing to Carditone.

Rod P.,

I am not a doctor so I can not advise on dosing, I can only describe my and my friends' experience with using Carditone, but I don't think it would be good at all to just add it to your current regimen. That could be dangerous as it may lower your blood pressure too low!

Perhaps you can ask one of your doctors if it would be okay to go off your blood pressure meds for two weeks to test Carditone to see if it will help you as it will be easier to take one pill than two and you are also hoping to avoid any potential side effects from the Amlodipine and Lisinopril, of which there are quite a few as listed at these two links:

Side Effects of Lisinopril :

You have to scroll the list to see all of the potential side effects.

Rod P. ,

Thank you for the feedback. Apparently Carditone is not working for you and you should stop it and go back on your previous meds as you don't want your blood pressure to go higher as you indicated it has while on Carditone.

I stopped the Carditone and started my meds and then a few days later I started taking the Carditone along with my meds. I take my blood pressure meds early in the morning and the Carditone at 8pm. My blood pressure was 120/75 this morning, so I think that the Carditone is assisting in my blood pressure. Yesterday my blood pressure was 124/74 and I know that my blood pressure hasn't been this low for a long time.

Rod,

Thank you for the update on your use of Carditone and I am glad it is allowing you to reach normal blood pressure readings which your two blood pressure meds were not able to do!

I have found that continued use of Carditone works better for me than the maximum dose of Amlodipine that my doctor had me on which never got my blood pressure into the normal range. It also outperformed Beet Root Powder that I tested. I also have not noticed any side effects from Carditone either.

Please keep an eye on your blood pressure regularly to make sure it does not go too low.

Lisinopril almost killed me. It took me 8 months to "recover." If there is any way to avoid taking it, I'd run as fast as possible in that direction! :)

Warning not to stop your medications suddenly even when told by doctor to do so. Some drugs are easier eg calcium blockers but you should still take time even when you are replacing it by other drug or remedy. You need to monitor your bp to guide you. I knew that people had bad problems with withdrawals from betablockers so I took 3 months even though the cardiologist told me to stop the bisoprolol and replace it with amlodipine. Even so, 2 days after my last dose I got palpitations and finished up in an emergency. The mistake I made was that I should have been taking amlodipine or other remedy to ease transition and I did not. Afterwards I was on amlodipine only 3 weeks and it was no problem to withdraw from it over next 2 weeks.

Potential Side Effects

I have been told by a pharmacist that Carditone has cancer causing ingredients. I took it for my blood pressure and it worked well but I was scared off by the pharmacists remarks. Has anyone researched the validity of the “cancer causing” claims?

Carol,

In this 2019 study using Carditone for blood pressure control, there is no mention of increased risk of cancer :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6389760/

Here is a relevant quote from the study :

' Conclusions: The findings of this study suggest that the investigated dietary supplement is safe for long-term use in adults with prehypertension and stage I hypertension. Additional results of this study, particularly the increase in serum potassium and decreases in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, are promising and suggest that future research on this dietary supplement, or its ingredients, should further explore effects on blood pressure and biologic mechanisms of action, which may involve potassium-sparing and diuretic effects. '

Please ask your pharmacist which ingredient is cancer causing in the supplement and where they got their information from. Many supplements can be carcinogenic or toxic if the dose is too high. I think if this supplement was causing cancer in anyone it would have been banned a long time ago. Supplements with ingredients that are known to cause cancer generally have a black box warning label stating as much. Carditone has no such warning label and California would definitely require such a warning label if true.

In the study they tested for the level of Reserpine content in the supplements as it is a known cancer causing agent and they determined that the level of Reserpine was very low. Here is a relevant study quote :

' The finished supplement was analyzed for reserpine content via high-performance liquid chromatography and levels were below the lower limit of detection (<0.01%; Intertek, Champaign, IL). Lead analysis showed that levels were <0.2 ppm (Micro Quality Labs, Inc., Burbank, CA). '

R. Serpentina, an ingredient in Carditone has been suggested to cause breast cancer based on rodent studies, but the dosing used in these animals that caused breast cancer was very high as outlined in the following Mayo Clinic article :

https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/rauwolfia-alkaloid-oral-route/side-effects/drg-20069510#:~:text=Suggestions that rauwolfia alkaloids may, an increased number of tumors.

Here is a relevant quote from the article :

' Suggestions that rauwolfia alkaloids may increase the risk of breast cancer occurring later have not been proven. However, rats and mice given 100 to 300 times the human dose had an increased number of tumors. '

If this is what your pharmacist is basing their claim on, they should do a bit more research before spreading such misinformation. If you take 100 to 300 times the actual dose of anything, I think you are definitely going to have issues with toxicities of many types including cancer.

Do you and/or EC have a stake in the commercial products and/or chemical compounds you've been touting? And I am NOT asking, merely out of curiosity. I'm dead serious. Are you and/or EC failing or refusing to disclose a relationship with ANY entity, commercial or not, whose interests run contrary to the natural approach to self-care on which this site was built? Yes or no.

EC: No.

Thank you Art for your detailed response. I had my doubts about the pharmacist claims that Carditone may be cancer causing or is that the ingredients that are in Carditone are used in chemotherapy drugs (that was mentioned as well). ) I so appreciate that you took enough time to answer my question. I am glad that Carditone is helping so many people. Thanks again!

Cindy,

I don't understand why you have so much negativity, but I am not interested in furthering the negativity that you are putting out. EC is all about sharing health remedies, not spreading negativity. There is already plenty of negativity in the world and I would rather not add to it. I have no idea of why you even bring up corruption, but that goes right along with the negativity that you are putting out and I am not interested in any of it.

Thank you for your feedback on your use of Carditone. I am very happy that it is working well for you! It is also still working well for my two friends and myself and none of us have noticed any side effects. For the three of us, it has worked better than the prescription blood pressure meds our doctors had us on.

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing some Carditone, but when I looked on Amazon UK they say that it is unavailable. Can it be purchased in the UK from other sources? I understand that the AYUSH brand is the best one to purchase, and that others are substandard replicas. Anyone any information on this?
