Homeopathic Euphrasia 1M works very fast on eye floaters. For me it was 24 hours and only one small one left. You order the 1M (not mg) size online by searching for euphrasia 1M. Inexpensive-6 or 7 dollars. Take one pellet under your tongue at bedtime. Caution, coffee, minty toothpaste and strong food flavors nullify the action of the pellet, so if you are a nighttime toothbrusher, brush with water. No side effects, and after 2 days, mine were totally gone.
I am 71, so it was age related. l don't know if it is a cure yet, but there are a lot of pellets if needed.

Hi Sharon, There was a recent comment on a Mercola article where the person puts a tsp of MSM (with no other ingredients) in a glass of water - then puts drops into the eyes. I'm going to start this practice. I have the MRM brand which has no fillers, etc. It's just a jar of powder. Also consume some every day.

Iron Supplementation
Posted by Ellie (Florida) on 05/27/2014
I read somewhere that a person associated floaters with low iron levels and after starting supplementing iron, her floaters were gone. Do research on the iron testing, as it is not a clear cut test. Sometime the body intentionally lowers its iron levels to compensate for something else to maintain balance.

For floaters....also for Macular Degeneration, other Retinol problems.... I am not a doctor. Please Google or read books on these for yourself and make informed decision. Frankincese essential oil rubbed on eyebrow, temples, behind ear on the ear and the muscle there on neck. Two to three times daily. Keep out of eyes and off eyelids. MSM, an absorbable kind, 1,000 to 2,000mg orally a day. Turmeric organic spice ( not supplement ) 1/2 teaspoon with a pinch of Black Pepper (makes Turmeric absorbable) twice daily. Take mixed with honey on spoon. Don't take at same time with meds, supplements, other spices..... Wait hour to two hours. DHA, in fish oil or algae. Follow supplement recommended dosage. Too lower stress... (same disclaimer) Lavender essential oil on pulse points of wrist and inhaled three times or more a day. The above Turmeric/Black Pepper helps depression and anxiety too. Elderberry (Sambucol brand). Follow dosage on bottle

Lauri,
That was Art from Vancouver who found benefit for eye floaters from vitamin B12. This is Art from California and unfortunately I have not found the same benefit from B12 for eye floaters, but it seems worth a try. I did find some benefit from high dose Grape Seed Proanthocyanidin Extract, but it was only a partial improvement of about 50%, but I will take it as they have only gotten worse through the years.

Just try l-carnosine eye drops for eye floaters. Forget the Budwig diet with flax and cottage cheese.
1. can-c
2. Bright eyes
You might have to order them online but they exist and reduce your floaters amazingly well. Use them as much as you want - the more the better. No side effects except your eyes feel a million times better. They are a miracle so try them if you have bad floaters. Forget diets, looking into the moon or sun & any other stupid old remedy - just get those drops and start using them alot.
Then get back online and tell people - maybe the eye community can make those eye doctors tell us about these drops even if they aren't a prescription. They don't seem to recognize them - which led me to get my 2nd floater - if I had used them when I got the first one - I never would have got this second one and my life would have been way better.

It is now two weeks since starting the Can-C eye drop and L-Carnosine capsule regimen for eye floaters. I am currently using two drops of Can-C, one in the morning and one in the evening as well as one 500 mg L-Carnosine capsule per day. There is no discernible improvement in the eye floaters at this time. There is, however, significant improvement in eye comfort. My eyes are feeling normal and not congested or dry as before. I don't think the improvement is due entirely to this regimen as I am also following a dry eye regimen described else where on this page. However, I think this regimen is helping as well. I also have had a chronic lingering low level sinus infection. I have recently used a 5% Boric acid solution nasal spray in the evening before bed for that condition. It is significantly improved after only a few applications. I have only used two or three sprays in each nostril before bed time about three times and my sinuses are feeling quite normal now. I believe this has significantly reduced the infection in and around my eyes and likely has also contributed to the improved comfort of my eyes.

I do not agree that if something worked 40 or even 30 years ago it will work today.
Our food is being modified at an alarming rate. More GM foods are being released into the food supply and goodness knows what effect that is having on our bodies. MSG and Aspartame are more rampant in food today. Fluoride, chlorine in our water supply.. Etc. etc.
To be healthy today you really need to stay away from processed foods and GMO foods.
Wheat has also been modified so much that people are putting on huge amounts of weight and are getting sicker and sicker. Research modified wheat and weight gain or illnesses. Research amazing health turnarounds in people going gluten free today.
Wheat also raises your sugar levels more than sugar and candy bars, may raise blood pressure and even cause arthritis.
What we ate 30 or 40 years ago may not be the same foods today. Look at the autism rates and ADHD rates in kids.

I have had Floaters for many years. They are annoying. I was able to find a way to tolerate them when suddenly they disappeared. I usually used to get them when I was extremely tired and its very hot outside, and living in Florida it's mostly hot all the time. I decided to try Flaxeed oil about a year ago after a lot of reading about the possible way to get them to go away, and that seems to have licked them for now. I also exercise about 2 hours a day and I'm told that it might help. Hope this helps.

there are others. Use them 4x a day or more - 2 drops in each eye - its a miracle. Then write back with your testimonial. They worked for me and I had bad floaters that made me want to cry. They are 80% gone after using the drops religiously everyday for 6 months now and I will continue praying that they will disappear one day.
After 2 weeks they had cleared up by about 50% so I know they work!

I have trouble for a few years. I have remedied this for myself by using an eye cup, and the white of an egg. You put just the white of the egg in a bowl, heat it just 7 seconds in microwave to warm it a bit, pour some in the eye cup, and put in the corner of each eye, open eye and close.
What that does is take the floaters out for awhile. It has been a week now and all is well. Make sure you do not overheat the egg white as it turns solid and you do not want to put that in your eye. Only the warmed up part of egg white.

Eye floaters do not necessarily come from one aging. No one in my family has eye floaters, even my mom who is in her 70/s. I used a mascara that was given to me from Sephora brand which I never used before. Upon using their brand my eyes were all red and was burning. I went to the doctor and was told a chemical in the mascara. I am a very sensitive person when it comes to certain products. I never used any of these products again. However, I am using origins plant based mascara and did not have this problem. My eyes were extremely red and inflamed from the chemically mascara. I am taking lysine, digestive enzymes' and taurine. When I am stressed they show up more. The only thing I am able to control them with proper nutrition and some eye exercises along with a good eye vitamin.

Hi Karan, Why don't you try it and see what your results are? It has worked for me. But I eat at least one can of beets per week in what I call my health salad. It is so tasty! I would eat it more often but it takes about a half hour to prepare, and often I just eat something else instead. I'm trying to get into a routine with the same breakfast and then the salad for a combination of lunch/dinner and a snack later on. The salad is large, so it lasts a couple of days or a bit longer if I eat that exclusively for each meal. Good luck!

I checked my eyes by looking at a white piece of paper before making this post and I am unable to detect any decernable difference after one week. I intend to continue using the drops and capsules until they are all gone and will try to remember to give weekly reports or if I notice any significant change.

Hi Frank-- I had some bad eye-floaters at one time, such that I couldn't see all the letters in a sign for instance. I also saw strange colors like an oil slick sometimes. Like it or don't, but what really helped me was putting collodial silver solution in a small, glass spray-mister bottle, and spraying a few squirts in my eye a few times. It was a godsend, and worked almost immediately.
What I do now, for my dry eyes, is put coconut oil on my lids and all over the lashes and everything. It does not bother my vision at all, and seems to be clearing it of dry eye, stringers, parasites, floaters and what-have-you... as another poster has mentioned.
But my big secret is that I follow an East Indian practice of placing urine in my eyes (i.e., M-urine).
Hope it works as well for you as it did for me! I wouldn't do all three at the same time.

Eye Floaters: Taking 1000mg of Vitamin C in the form of Magnesium Ascorbate works for me, as does Pantothenic Acid in the form of 'Pantethine', 450mg occasionally, as needed. Adelle Davis, in her book 'Let's Get Well' p. 351-352 recommends both the above and along with Vit. B2 and B6.

Hi Debbie. Adelle Davis books are out of print now but you can still get them from Amazon.com as used books. Also, for some incite into why our children are so over weight, look into Dr. Johanna Budwig. Food oils are nutrients that the body uses but commercial oil production removes everything useable from the oils so that they have a long shelf life and don't go rancid. But in so doing, the oils can no longer be used or burned in the body and so just accumulate in the body. Budwig explains all this and the information is probably available on the internet. I have all three of her books that were translated into English.
Dr. Budwig was a phd in physics and chemistry, a pharmacist and was studying to be a doctor when her clash with the commercial oil industry caused her to relent from trying to be a doctor. Dr. Budwig was the person who you had to submit your products and science to in Germany in 1950-1951 for approval to sell them to the public. She was Germany's FDA. She had laboratory facilities available to her to do whatever tests were necessary. She was a brilliant lady and made several important discoveries. But, some of the discoveries she made brought her into conflict with the medical, chemical, and food oil industries. She was nominated something like 7 to 9 times for the Nobel Prize supported by about 90 other scientists but the medical, chemical and food oil industries suppressed her nomination each time and continually pursued her in the courts on one charge after another to impoverish and punish her for speaking her mind but she won all of the cases. They also prevented her from publishing her findings in scientific journals, so she published them in books instead. They then prevented the books being translated out of German. Only recently have a few of her works begun to be translated into English. I think she wrote about 27 books but only 3 have been translated into English. Her story is most interesting and would make a great movie.
Regarding herbs I haven't done much because it comes down to which herb grown where. For instance, they say bananas are a good source of potassium but is that true if the banana is grown in potassium soil? So a herb may supposed to have a certain property but then where is the testing to prove it is actually so. So, I have tended to stick to things where studies have been done to demonstrate the efficacy of it. If I can find such studies done on herbs then I would use that herb for the stated purpose. However, I can make a killer salad. :) Other than for Dandelion I don't think the other herbs you mention would be available to me here. They sound quite tropical. I hear what you say about the seeds. I heard recently that they have extended immunity from prosecution to Monsanto. I wonder why? ;)

You need to find out about the Budwig Diet.Read the information at
www.cancertutor.com/Cancer/Budwig.html.
Dr. Johanna Budwig was the foremost expert in the world on fats and oils. She was able to heal people even from their deathbeds using flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. (It's all about the electrons!) She also recommends veggies and fruit. (no meats, animal fats, or sugar.) She lived into her 90's. and was a nominee for the nobel prize many times. Earth Clinic should be all over this one. It helps all sorts of diseases, Heart Infarction. arthritis, cancer etc, and is good for athletic performance and in fact, the whole family. I have done oil pulling for only a short time and it has helped the floaters in my eye get smaller & less dark. (they were the result of a burst capillary.)

You must eat the beets, or juice them and drink the juice. The beet ROOTS will not have an effect. If you juice the beets only drink a little, like one SMALL beet worth, because it is a liver cleanser and can make you feel sick and/or throw up from detoxing. It's best to add a little beet juice to other juices.

I belive that there may be a b12 connection the other way.
I was having red flashes, that intensified with additinal B12, I suspected the cianide in the pharmacutical B12, and changed to methyl B12. The red flashes stopped right away, the floaters that came with them did not.
If my hunch is correct, the cianide may be a causetive factor. I did not reaserch further as of yet.
For the floaters I used dr, william wright's protocol, choline +inisitol.
Big improvment, not perfect, and you have to keep up the treatment. Ten years of pretty good sucsess so far.
But my second eye started now, maybe I need to up the dose, perhaps I am not absorbing the vitamins properly.

l have used Adelle Davis' book for many years, and the information in it has helped me tremendously to avoid a lot of problems suffered by most people. I used it successfully in my 3 pregnancies as well, and everything she says is true, except using potassium for colic in infants. The reason it is controversial is that nobody wants to know that they can successfully stay healthy by eating properly and getting the correct nutrition, especially your physicians, who need you to be sick to make money. She has some quick fixes as well as long term fixes for most health problems. My favorite book is "let's have healthy children". I found online, an attorneys statement that 2 families tried to sue her when they erroneously tried something in her books that clearly were not suggested as remedies, just after notes of interest. One other of the families had given their small child 1 million units of Vitamin A daily. They settled out of court for small amounts.. Most of her ideas were harmless unless carried to extremes. She died at age 70 with bone cancer, and people immediately fixated on this, never mind that she lived to be 70.

And also, there is nor use saying that putting better fuel in will cure everything that is wrong, as some suggest here on EC. The best petrol in the world will not help an engine if the radiator is clogged and the spark is not strong to the spark plugs!

Wow, John you are certainly well informed and eating everything right. You are so lucky to be living where you are where you have access to such great food. It sounds like a good book.
I have a farmers market near me. The guy that was selling oranges had no idea that roundup was a deadly thing to spray on the roots of his orange trees. Even the apple seller was using Roundup at the base of his apple trees. Roundup takes minerals out of the soil and the plants in it which we then eat. I used to use roundup myself until I found it is a Montsanto toxin. Deadly in our soils. The organic eggs I was buying, the hens were being fed grains. I am thinking of buy a laying hen and feed it herbs.
You are right that kids today should be educated about food. I myself am learning new things every day. Thank goodness for the internet.
Do you eat any fresh herbs? That would be a good thing to add to what you are eating. A few herbs that I recommend if you can get them are Gotu Kola and Brahmi. They are both Ayurvedic herbs and are renowned in India as being longevity herbs as well as amazing for the brain (can reverse many brain ailments). They are blood purifiers also. The Gotu Kola can reverse arthritis and clear the arteries.. And many, many other amazing stuff. Another herb which is amazing is Herb Robert if you can find some, especially as a blood purifier and for cancer. The Gotu Kola you can even use like they do in Sri Lanka in a fresh salad every day. If you grow it fresh it grows very fast and you can access to free salad greens every day.
Stinging Nettles is also considered a weed but are a great source of calcium which is organic unlike calcium in pasteurized milk which is inorganic (because of heat) and unavailable to the body. Raw milk is definitely better if you can buy it.
People buy a lot of herbs in a bottle these days but forget that they are usually very easy to grow and won't have additives in them like the bottled ones do. Also you don't know if the seeds in supplement herbs were even organic seeds not or treated with something.
Herbs that you grow are cheap and an easy source of vitamins and minerals and have no pesticides in them). You can also dry them in the good months and have them as a tea or even sprinkle the dry herbs in cooking over the winter.
Even Dandelion leaf is great in a salad and is a good source of magnesium as well as other minerals.
We also need to be saving our non-hybrid seeds for future generations.
I feel very worried about uninformed kids of today and what their lives will be like. In Australia we are seeing more and more overweight kids and adults.
I will seek out the book you are recommending because it sounds like a good book to have on the shelf. I am buying books so my son can access some education about our foods today.

Hi Nadine, I have also had floaters for many years. That seems to be connected with the age and the fact that the retina starts pulling and getting detached. Mine are always there is there is more light and nothing I try makes me see less of these crazy things. Could you maybe explain what you did with the flaxseed oil? Did you do oil pulling, take it or something else? I have been taking flaxseed oil in pills for a while but didn't notice any difference. Before that I also took 1 soup spoon a day with no results and I was afraid the oil would turn rancid without me noticing it so I stopped and started with the pill. Please tell me what you do exactly and I hope they never come back for you as this is really annoying! Like you I am always hunting for solutions!

A pity there aren't more people contributing to this section as there are many people suffering from eye floaters. I have tried a lot of natural remedies but nothing has worked so far, also eye therapy to lower my myopia. I have to say that I am ready to try a lot of things but the cottage cheese not really as I can't stand most milk products. I have tried MSM drops, herbs for the liver, phosphatus, cordiceps and a lot more but so far nothing made my eye floaters better. Maybe someone comes up with an answer......or more things one could try!

Quark, flax, cheese - forget it - just try those l-carnisine eye drops.
1. can-c

Hi Mmsg, I used to take two tablespoons of flaxseeds ground up with an electric grinder everyday. As best as I can recall I took these in my oat bran cereal for breakfast or my daily Budwig shake. I would have thought that taking them in this way that they would have been sufficiently separated to prevent them sticking together, but I believe they become trapped first in the diverticulae, then stick together, and them become infected.
At any rate after doing this for about two to three years, I got diverticulitis. This causes the diverticulae to become stretched out and deformed. Now I have to have fiber daily such as oat bran or psylium fiber to keep these diverticulae flushed out so that food particles don't become trapped in them.
With regard to chia seeds, I have no direct experience so I can't really comment on them.
With regard to sesame seeds, I have little experience with them but I suspect they are also sticky like flax seeds as I recall eating them in a Chinese restaurant where you wet the chopsticks and dipped them in the seeds to pick them up.
However, I found out the cause of the diverticulitis when I told a friend about it and he responded, "Oh you get that from eating small seeds." FWIW

I'm looking for an effective way to treat eye floaters. Could you please let me know what helped you and at what dosage? How long did it take to see improvement?

Please clarify
1 a day for 7 days?
Does that mean you take this throughout the year? or just take it for 7 days total?
