I have been having Edema in my legs, ankles, feet, arms and hands for a month now. My shoes no longer fit and my wedding ring needed to be cut off. Have tried parsley and celery juice. Seemed to work at first but not any longer. Had a blood test and kidneys and blood sugar looked good. Regularly take Butchers Broom and ACV to no avail. Any help?

Have you had your liver checked? Inflammation can cause the water retention so you could check out remedies for that. I use tumeric, aloe gel, and garlic for inflammation as well as fermented foods!

Hi: Regarding edema, have you checked your thyroid for hypothyroidism. Also be careful because blood tests only reveal a glandular problem not a peripheral problem. So if you make the hormones but your body is not accessing them at a cellular level you can still be hypothyroid. Home test for hypothyroidism is a body temperature test. Get a digital thermometer and measure yourself in the mouth 3 times a day and average it out. First measurement is 3 hours after waking then in 3 more hours and lastly 3 hours from that. Should Be 37 or 98.6.
Neck Edema Remedies
I recently started having problems with edema in my neck after the removal of the lymph nodes on both sides due to cancer. I'm sleeping with my head slightly elevated but when I wake my neck is still very swollen limiting my range of motion. The swelling goes down as the day progresses but only about half way of the waking state. What do you suggest?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. Sounds like scar tissue may be the problem. Find a WELL QUALIFIED massage therapist to do some Lymphatic Drainage massage, and maybe some Myo Fascial Release around the scars. This should help.
Pulmonary Edema Remedies
pulmonary edema: My 73year old neighbour has a constant build up of "fluids in the lungs", she doesn't know what her condition is actually, not sure if her doctor cared enough to explain to her clearly! She has extreme difficult breathing now and is generally on a home respiratory machine. She lives alone and has no care taker. From what I've read she might have Pulmonary Edema, fluid blocking the air-sacs within her lungs. Every month she has to go to the hospital to have the fluid drained, from what I've read pulmonary edema is often linked too heart problems but she has never had any heart trouble and eats a fairly healthy diet so I'm a bit confused to what caused this. What is her likely condition? What needs to be done for her to recover?
Hi - if your neighbor's edema is possibly related to her heart - capsicum/cayenne is always an effective means to strengthen the heart. I found this very interesting article about pulmonary edema from the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMM). They recommend both conventional and alternative therapies. Granted - she should speak w/ her doctor but I would pay special attention to the natural remedies. I will keep her in my prayers....she is lucky to have a concerned neighbor like you.
Update: Sorry, I made a mistake in my previous post. R+ALA 400mg. /day reduced the swelling by 25% not 75%. The swelling went down to 75% compared to what it was; therefore a 25% reduction. My apologies
R+ALA 400mg./day worked for me in 24 hr. reducing the swelling by about 75%.
Be sure to get the one with R+. I'm not sure what the R+ stands for but in previous posts on the old site it was stressed that it was better than just ALA alone.
Raw Food Diet
Raw Foods cured my pregnancy-induced edema
I ate mostly oranges, fresh-squeezed orange juice, watermelon, and green juice (kale, carrots, dandelion greens, beets).
My ankles and feet were extremely swollen, propping my legs up helped temporarily, but it didn't last. After being 100% raw for 3-4 days the swelling had gone away completely. I eat a healthy diet normally, but eating all fresh foods and mainly fruit was what made the difference.
Kale should not be eaten raw, but cooked. There is an interesting article on the Weston A. Price Foundation's website concerning goitrogens in crucifers.
Article title: "Bearers of the Cross: Crucifers in the Context of Traditional Diets and Modern Science"
Red Vine Leaf
Would not have believed it, but mine has been cured by taking red vine leaf extract which I happend on when buying my vits on line. Marvellous.
All edema went within 20 days, even on long haul flights (16 hours). Only side effect (possible but not proven as may be age) is my hands now more prone to bruise blood hematomas, but these disappear quickly.
Reducing Salt, Black Cohosh
I figured out my swelling ankles and legs was caused by a combination of high blood pressure and hormone imbalance. Since I started going through menopause the problem got much worse. I found the combination of reducing salt intake, taking a supplement for the hormone imbalance which contains black cohosh and even taking straight black cohosh helps tremendously) and getting plenty of exercise has helped so much. The only time I really have the problem now is when I have the monthly monster
. Good luck to you all!
HI U OLE PATOOTS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
This is the latest in my leg edema that occurred following a fall that crushed my T 12 vertebrae. All have follow this saga since Feb '14. Well, I have some interesting news to report. Have done it all including a monthly lymph massage, etc. The therapist suggested that I elevate my legs at night and that helped.
Recently I learned that my Rife Machine had a program to get your lymph system to circulate. I have only done this for the past weeks and my ankles and legs are now normal so something is working. They don't stay normal throughout the day, but I am attributing my improvement to my GB 4000 Plasma Rife Machine.
The treatment is for only 15 minutes. I am also using this device in my cancer blood treatment. There is almost no ailment that this machine can't be used for. My wife is now using it to address her thyroid deficiency as she has been on meds all her adult life.
Also learned that this device can be used to address normalizing most all body functions. That seems the way to go.
How a Rife Machine works is to bombard your body with wave frequencies that will address your problem. These same frequencies types can also cause you harm, and that includes microwave, cell phones, wi-fi, power lines, etc. Even a rheostat on a ceiling fan or light can cause you grief. Don't believe me.. then take an AM radio and see if all you get is static next to this device. That static is zapping you with cancer causing EMF's.
Have taken you around the watermelon, but some EMF's heal and some EMF's cause you sickness. I am not an expert in either. Just trying to get you to read. You know my line.
My GF's father (62 yrs old) suffers from swollen legs (Peripheral Edema). He has serious heart issue's with mini-heart attacks everyday. Strong smells also set him off and makes his chest hurt. He eat's nitro-pills like M&M's. He says hot weather causes his legs to swell.“He works outside in construction”.
The family has been rubbing Rosemary essential oil undiluted on his legs. It brings the swelling down in a few hours and the smell does not aggravate his heart.
Hope this helps someone...
Sea Salt in Water
This is a truly amazing cure, drink two to three glasses of water. In each glass add a 1/4 teaspoon of Sea Salt. I'm sensitive so I used an 1/8 teaspoon of Sea Salt. My lower back was super swollen from Edema tried this method and within three hours all the swelling and pain was almost completely gone!
Start drinking more water, for example if you weigh 100 pound you drink 50 ounces of water. I would drink a couple extra glasses to be on the safe side.
Pink Himalayan salt is awesome too, it's so full of electrolytes, great for the whole body. I put a few sprinkles of it in my water bottle everyday. Xxx
Serrapeptase didn't help me with edema. By the way: every time I am taking Serrapeptase I have terrible RA and PA flare after a few days. My joints hurt so bad. I don't know if it is coincidence or not.
For Edema, I have done many things but Serrapeptase seems to work the best as Edema's cause would be an enlarging heart caused by the interior wall of the heart thickening and stiffening due to "critter" infestations causing scar tissue to form in that part of the heart.
Also inositol and D-Ribose helps lots. Also, if the O2 levels in the blood are low the heart will attempt to compensate by pumping harder and frequently the lungs are the source of the problem as the crud we breathe plugs up and scars the lungs thus reducing the O2 uptake by the blood.
For toxic moments in life, Burdock Root or Milk Thistle helps the liver clean out the "remains of the dead critters" and clean water is very helpful too.
My ob-gyn recently put me on a few heavy drugs to stop major menopausal bleeding. The drug - I believe - did weird things to my body although the bleeding stopped. One of the symptoms was swollen ankles and urine that was colorless for a few days. Swedish Bitters was recommended and a massage that concentrated on the internal organs which was amazing in itself. This morning, no swollen ankles, my urine was back to normal and I have more energy than the past few days.
Swollen Feet Remedies
NEED HELP WITH FOOT SWELLING AFTER ELEVATION! ... Yep you heard right. I had an ankle fusion (fused at talus) on Right Foot/Ankle Only;11 months ago, and about 6 months ago started having terrible issues with foot pain/plantar faceitis/ect. But the real issue is that during the night my right foot (measured at mid foot and below toes) swells about 1 to 1.5 inches around. It feels not only painful upon rising but as if I am trying to walk on a water balloon. The swelling gradually lessens throughout the day. The left foot and ankle are normal. This really concerns me and the Doc's just shrug and shake their heads. Please note that I have arthritis in the right foot from a broken mid foot in 2003. The original damage that forced fusion was compound right tib-fib-ankle joint fractures in winter 84, right ankle has had multiple surgeries prior to fusion, but never anything like this odd swelling???
Any help out there??? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Try Serrapeptase. Take on empty stomach. It is an enzyme that is amazing, literally for any kind of inflammation, and if you have arthritis and damage in foot it will help that, , , , , and perhaps the edema.
Try Magnesium too, and try to flush out body with 2-3 L water a day.
