Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil

I went to Morocco this summer and was not as careful as I should have been about avoiding contact with the water. By the end of the trip, I had a classic case of traveler's diarrhea (caused by the presence of E. Coli in the water). My stomach started to bother me and a few days after I left Morocco, I was experiencing excruciating cramping, had liquid bowel movements about 11-12 times per day, had a burning/queasy feeling in my stomach, had chills, could not eat, and was generally miserable. Every anti-diarrhea medication that I tried or was prescribed (I tried 5) had absolutely NO effect on me. It wasn't too long before my fiance's parents knew ALL about my bowel problems (to my embarassment), so my fiance's mom gave me apple baby food which seemed to help a little. I suffered for another 3 days, and on the final day I had to travel home for over 24 hours, including a 11-hour flight, and with my condition it seemed like it was going to be a disaster.
the trip I looked up remedies on EC and bought some ACV (couldn't buy the kind with the mother, because I was not in the US at the time). I took the ACV about 3 times that day and the cramping and nausea disappeared and the frequency of my bowel movements greatly decreased. When I got back to the US I was able to take some ACV with the mother, took some coconut oil in chai (which contains cinnamon), ate some applesauce with cinnamon, and in one day my problem was completely GONE, finally putting an end to my 10 days of suffering. Thank you EC!!!! And readers, PLEASE do not drink the water in developing countries ;)
N.B.: Coconut oil might have been effective in my case because my diarrhea was caused by a bacterial/parasitic infection, but coconut oil generally has a laxative effect on most people, so use with caution!

A few of my friend had a diarree problem. I gave to each one half a teaspoon of 3% (in SA 10 Volume) peroxide mixed with half a glass of water on a empty stomach. The diarree stopped immedaitely.

I had diarrhea for 12 hours and Imodium didn't help. I thought I should go to the doctor, but it was 6:00 p. M. I decided to go online to see if I could find help there and was grateful to find this site. I sent a relative to a healthfood store for the ACV capsules. He bought a bottle of 500mg capsules. I took two and was cured! Thank you so much.

I've had a terrible bout of LD for the last 2 days -- going between every 20 min to 2 hours or so -- and just a bit ago found this site. After reading all of the comments, I figured I'd try at least one of these remedies where I had the ingredients immediately available. After eating the apple, it seems to have at least calmed my stomach, hopefully it stays that way. This is a great site. Thanks to all who've posted.

Tried the 4 tablespoons of vinegar to half cup of purified water; my stool has solidified since taking two cups of this ACV and took one again this morning. It burns a little going down but it's worth the results it offers. I was excited to see my stool texture improve and I'm going to keep doing it for a week to ensure remedy effectiveness. Thank you Earth Clinic:)!! I'm going to do this three times a day for a week.

I was once told by my great grandmother this, I tried it and it worked---I couldn't believe it, I couldn't tell you why it works, it just does.
To stop diarrhea boil two cups of whole milk (IT HAS TO BE WHOLE MILK).
Let it cool to a drink able stage.
It forms a skim of "skin" on top as it cools on the surface---peel it off.
Drink it.
I have had it work every time for me.

It worked!
Usually apple cider vinegar does the trick for me, but it wasn't working. The best Apple Cider Vinegar did was to space out my visits to the bathroom.
After over 12 hours experiencing completely liquid diarrhea, I saw this post and boiled 2 cups of whole milk, turned off the stove before it boiled over, waited to cool, remove the skin that formed and drank it.
Felt better right away and today I have no more problems. Thank you!

I would like to add that blackberry juice is great for diarrhea in children. It works for adults as well. Boil fresh or frozen blackberries, strain. Let cool before drinking.I often make a large batch and freeze it so we always have it on hand.

I had food poisoning 14 days ago and although the bad diarrhea subsided, i have had loose bowels a couple of times each day and cramping and gas all day. I wasn't getting any better. I began using pepogest and digestive enzymes and that helped a little. Then i read about acv on earthclinic so i bought some immediately (all i could find was unfiltered/pasteurized). I took a tablespoon in 8oz of water 3 times a day with each meal. After 1 day I am already feeling relief. I have much less cramping and gas and have only gone once today. I hope that this remedy continues to help me improve.

Thank you for your tip on using apple cider vinegar for diarrhea. I had diarrhea for three days straight and found your website while I was searching for a home remedy. I went to a health food store and found ACV in pill form. After the first dose, I felt better but still had some loose stools. After one full day of taking the ACV, no more diarrhea! I feel so much better. I've never had a home remedy work so well before. What a relief!

My 2 year old son and I had a bad case of stomach cramps which turned into 3 days of watery diarrhea every 30 min or so or everytime we ate or drank anything. I checked this site for remedies and tried Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV) (I already had in my cabinet) mixed with water.
I mixed 2 tsp ACV in about 20 oz. of water. I smelled it in the glass and knew it would be hard to get my 2 year old to drink this!! I poured half into a glass for me to drink. I poured the other half into a sippy cup, opened up one of those take-along flavored pouches you shake into bottled water (hard to describe & not use a brand name)and used about half the pouch to flavor his ACVwater in the sippy cup. I did this a few times, maybe every 2 hours, each time using less flavor to make sure he was getting the ACV. It's been about 4 hours and neither of us has gone to the bathroom. It may be early but I'm gona call it and say this remedy actually worked.

Diarrhea with Turmeric Powder: I had just gotten back from a 2 week trip in New Mexico and without thinking, I immediately ate two greasy Tex-Mex meals back to back. Needless to say, I had diarrhea that followed me for almost a week. I might have carried a bug back with me from MEX, I'm not sure of the source. I tried 1 tsp of Turmeric powder with a glass of water one night, and the following day I was already improving. Just for safe measures I went ahead and took another tsp the next day, and it was completely gone the following day, after only taking 2 doses!
Boiled Milk

This quick, safe and easy "cure" for diarrhea is ideal for adults, children and even babies. It is a remedy passed down through generations and never fails. I've used it myself, for my son, my husband and just about everyone I've ever known has found relief. What is it? Boiled milk. Simply measure out a cup of regular milk on the stove (not in the microwave) and bring just to a boil. Allow to cool and remove the skin off the top. You can drink it while it's still a bit warm. Ideally you would use 2% milk or even homo (skim milk might be too 'thin'). If you have diarrhea with gas, nausea and/or lots of gut noises, add a few pinches of ginger powder to the milk while heating it. For babies, they should be at an age where they can drink cow's milk. A cup of boiled milk should be enough for anyone at any age and you can drink as much as you want. Why the milk works only when boiled is a mystery to me - but it's easy enough for anyone to try and tastes good too. Results should be within an hour or less.

I agree, and have found that a once a day shake containing 2 teaspoons of Psyllium, 1 teaspoon of flax meal, 1/2 teaspoon of Bentonite Clay,1 teaspoon of Inulin and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper is enough fiber to keep my stool firm and my bowels regular. Two things we need to take care of is our bowels and our liver. Those are priority # 1.
The inulin feeds your good bowel flora. The cayenne make it all work more better. The clay is an electrolyte which cause it all to flock as it passes through, giving you bulk. It you are a wine maker, you know this is the way you clarify your wine.
I am also in the process of making a green walnut tincture and a poke berry tincture here in East Tn. This is my first attempt at this chore. Naturally, I'm using white lightening from a moonshine friend of mine. That's the way we are here in the ridges. Just glad the auto was invented before my time least I would have had to marry a cousin up the hollar.

Recently I went to India. When I returned I started to have diarrhea. I thought it would go away in a day or two but it did not. After five days of misery I went to the CVS and bought keopectate. Didn't work. I tried a vegetable diet, sea salt, apple cider vinegar, nothing worked. Now it's ten days and I'm fifteen pounds lighter, weak, and finding it hard to keep hydrated not to mention that going to the bathroom was now agony. I was ready to go to my doctor/hospital.
My wife who was still in India told me to take Tumeric. There was a big container of it so I mixed a heaping teaspoon in a glass of water and drank it down. Slightly bitter but I liked the taste. The next morning I took another dose and that was it. My stomach settled right down and a day later it was gone. Really amazing.

Curing diarrhea is NOT so simple. Bloody diarrhea is life threatening. Bloody diarrhea must be treated with cinnamon, and/or other antifungals, such as garlic cloves, tea tree oil, and coconut oil. Also problems may exist in the persons ketheric template and chakras from past life, (or current one).
