HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I am not up to snuff. Had a fall this week while stacking firewood and my chiropractor is having little effect. I am turning on my back FIR EMITTERS and painting my lower back with 70% DMSO gel. That is helping mor' better , which is Southern for better. Dang, just because you are hurting there is no reason you can't have fun with it.

Cleaning my arms of sun damage is on the back burner. Again a Southern term. Save your Confederate money because the South is going to rise again. Just messin with you. What I am learning after these falls is that I can't do what I did as a youth. That is hard sayins.

It means that I got to start acting like an old person and that brings tears to my eyes. I know I'm on the shady side of the mountain but that is not where I want to be. I jus got to slow down and do what my ole body allows.

You young whipper snappers need to appreciate where you are and take advantage of Earth Clinic to keep yourself young. When it goes, then it goes and you can't bring it back. Most of us will not have pain in the next life. We will be dancing on the streets of gold.

Sorry for this pitty party, but I ain't feel too good.

Coconut Oil
Posted by Prioris (Fl, Usa) on 02/02/2014

Just be aware that coconut milk has toxins in it but not a big deal if used occasionally. Best way to drink coconut milk if you take a kit is buy the coconut cream concentrate and add water to make your own. It will have a grainier taste than store bought but more healthy.

Coconut Oil

For the past three days my husband has been complaining of back pain. I have asked several times to allow me to apply coconut oil to his back. "I don't want my back to be greasy." He said. This morning I finally managed to get him to allow me to rub some on his back. It absorbed into his skin leaving no residue. I also opened a can of coconut milk and mixed it with ginger ale for him to drink. I left at approximately 7:00 this morning to get my mother some emergency groceries. We had bad weather moving into Oklahoma City and she had no food in the house. When I walked in the house about an 1 1/2 hours later he was asleep. When he woke up three hours later I could tell the grimace was gone from his face. "How do you feel?" I asked. He gave me the so-so hand, but I could tell he was doing a lot better. So much that half an hour later he went outside and scraped the ice off his car! Once again EC has come to the rescue. I hope the effects last. I will come back and update if there are any changes.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Maybe it is having a detoxing effect on your body? I'm not a Dr. but do know that when you start to rid your body of toxins it goes thru a withdrawal period. Try eliminating dairy and wheat and see if that helps.

Ball Point Pen Technique

★★★★★

Redou I have to say the ball point pen method of curing my back is working my first day doing it. Thank you so much for this info. Redou I had a lot of the same diagnoses as you did with my back doctor. Just saw my chiropractor yesterday for second day and same thing as you relief for a little while and then pain right back again. But today when I started doing the ball point pen method my back pain is so much relieved. I have been bending like you said doing my housework and adding those extra straight back bends without bending my knees and oh my gosh it works. I am in a happy shock cause now I can bend to load dishwasher and do my chores today for the first time in such a long time without excruciating back pain. You are a God send!

Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care
Posted by Pat (Washington) on 11/18/2013

Yes, I have had upper cervical chiropractic care the past 4 months. Sometimes it helps the pain immediately, and sometimes it helps it in a day or two. Yes, I notice it seems to be linked to my sciatica and my herniated disc pain, on the other side of my body.

There have been good reports about upper cervical chiropractors but you have to be careful not to do something that cause subluxations of the atlas bone in the neck--then you have to run back to the upper cervical chiropractor.

I used to have to take cell salts for 9 days for it work, now I only have to take them for 1-2 days to find complete relief (after going to the upper cervical chiropractor) BUT chiropractry is not good for the neck (if you go to a regular chiropractor) and can make matters worse. Go to an upper cervical chiropractor and it will help the alignment of your body, which starts at the neck.

I have found 10 success stories on the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association page, so it encouraged me to try it. It may give you more symptoms at first, but then you must go back to the chiropractor (even after the first hour) because it might have been aligned wrong--can happen once in a blue moon) it least that is what my doctor says.

Hydrotherapy
Posted by Jenny (Brisbane, Australia) on 07/13/2013

To the lady with disc degeneration and others considering surgery. Try hydrotherapy and all conservative methods as if you have surgery there will be other side effects. I had a disc bulge at L4/5 and a cyst grew in the fluid that accumulated which grew onto my nerve roots which resulted in excruciating pain down the right side of my body.

My GP said the it would be a relatively minor operation to remove the cyst and referred me to a surgeon. By the time I went to see the surgeon I had to go in by ambulance on a stretcher as walking and sitting were too painful.

I told the surgeon to just remove the cyst but he said it would come back and scared me into doing a more major operation, I. E. removal of the discs and replacement with a cage. My facet joints above and below the implant are now deteriorating because of the implant - this is proven by the before and after MRI. I believe his motivation was not my future welfare but money, the major operation being much more expensive. There are not many Drs who take the hypocratic oath any more and mean it - I. E. first do no harm... its big business.

I am now going to try strenghten the muscles in my back by doing specific exercises and do water walking in a heated pool. As well as this I will try ACV and take Boron and anything else that has worked for other people because I have now realised I must take responsbility for my own health and not rely on a Dr to do the right thing.

Surgery should be a last resort. I also have a failed left total knee replacement - doesn't bend properly because the surgeon cut through my quadriceps muscle and I couldn't do the physio afterwards due to the pain of the severed muscle.

I have only had the two surgeries at age 65, both in the last 7 years and both with problems. I will never go under the knife again if I can help it.

Try everything else, and as a very last resort only, consider surgery, and if you do so find a surgeon who treats the patient, not his bank balance.

Stretching

I'd like to share a stretch exercise that has helped me relieve pain and stiffness after herniated dics in lower back. Note that this has worked some time after the injury, when the disc is not as painful, but you still feel joints being stuck and pulling on muscles. I lie on the floor on a mat or even surface and position my legs like a scissors (you can stretch to the extent the you feel comfortable but still feel some pressure) and then stretch my arms behind my head creating a pull away from the hip joints, which then crack and release the stiffness. I do it several times a day, morning and evening, especially after sitting for extended periods of time and it has helped me better than physical therapy. It's kind of like cracking your fingers but on larger joints.

A few things have helped with my ruptured disc L-5 and bulging of 4 3 2 discs:

- Water soaks in Epsom salt and drinking 16 oz. water and eating an apple with salt on it in the tub. Stay in tub as long as you can.
- Take mineral and vitamin supplements, drink glass of water half an hour before any eating.
- Use an inversion table to open the spine up. Don't go all the way back, just till you feel the pull on the spine
- Ice packs on the spine 10 minutes then heat 30 minutes... Repeat a few times.

Mary you asked me about weight... I gained some trying stuff but it was worth it. Since the stevia incident I have dropped my protocol and lost 5 pounds this week. My goal is to drop 5 more in the next two weeks, tell you how in my next post ..... I'm going to run a post you might be interested in about a show my spouse talked me into watching on OPB . John Sarno also wrote in Heal Back Pain about how the body would first create the pain and then as you would get the one area of pain under control it would be re-created in some area that had not been in pain. I find this very interesting after years of knocking out health issues and having a new one crop up out of nowhere.

It feels like I am always having to do research to find new answers. Maybe I'll get one that is not so awful and just stop there..........???

How many books does it take to solve the dis-ease? I have a full library now and those are the best of the best of the best after years of research. I am thankful not to have the stomach aches, the ear aches, the knee problems, the hip pain, (my sockets are too big for the balls on my legs to stay in )the blurry vision ( explained to me that I was allergic and my eyes were shedding cells blurring my sight), the dandruff that would fall off and leave an open wound under it, that scabbed over. The depression... The shoulder, neck, and back pain... The ringing in my ears.... The allergy to my hormones each month producing the lump under my arm, the fear and panics, and body tremors, wrist problems, nightmares for years on end, snoring. (we are talking BUZZ SAW, the kids thought it was their dad) LOL :- () Oh and the burps and gas and inability to digest and eliminate food. Liver cysts, pelvic prolapse and top that all off with the dreaded CANDIDA. Head trauma, short and long term memory loss, ADHD and dyslexia..... I was the healthiest sick person at the doctors office.

This doesn't include all the drama at the dentist.

A chiropractor treated me for LYME disease with frequencies. He said I had the worst case they had ever seen and were surprised that I had walked in. It felt that way to me. I didn't know I had it. He charged me very little.

Whitmire Chiropractic, Vanc. Wash. He is the only person who has this treatment, I asked.

He did spinal adjustments and treated some allergies with frequencies... Seemed to help a lot. He also uses a light to desensitize.

My husband loves me but thinks I am a gullible NUT JOB. I just want to be well and done with it.

Now pelvic and hormone and liver and thyroid and teeth.... LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS OH MY! Where does it end..... The book is interesting. I bought the second one.... The divided mind!

If nothing else it is good comedy. WE are so vulnerable. If you get to pick an illness find a simple one like thinking you are the queen of sheba or something.... Love, Joy

AF betafood is a lot of things in one supplement, for gallbladder support. Root of beet, carrot, oat flour , dried beet leaf, defatted wheat germ, cal mag bovine liver nutritional yeast bovine kidney alfalfa flour ect.. Etc.. Worth the big expense if your digestion is faulty. I took ten a day for a month a felt much better able to digest my food.

One thing Dr. Batman didn't go into a lot of detail about that I was missing was that magnesium in a raito of 1 cal 1 mag is best because our food is high calcium and that also affects our bodies water systems.

I'm not losing any weight but using coconut oil and was using the meat trying to get digestive tract free of yeast and trying to heal liver cysts. One problem at a time.... Hope you find yourself feeling better and eating more variety.

Hello again Oldriska--I had to stop posting earlier and couldn't finish... I sent it without proof reading. You might want to try taking 1/4-1/2 tsp of turmeric in warm water when you are in pain. Hidden sources of manufactured glutamic acid (MSG) are hard to stay away from. "MSG" is a nerve stimulant. Turmeric and ginger reduce inflammation. I use them both on my vegetables and eggs. Just make sure there are no fillers in the ingredients. Beware of the flowing/anti-caking agent in your salt. Try using "Real Salt".

Oldriska--I don't know if this will help but pain comes from inflammation. I had been informed over twenty years ago that magnesium provides some protection against the stimulating effects of hidden sources of MSG, which has permeated our food supply. I've had multiple injuries but have not had the pain I used to have before I started taking it every day. I thought eating more spinach was giving me the calcium I needed after a hysterectomy. Prior to that I had been eating spinach to keep my eyes from drying out so I could tolerate contacts. Long story shortened: spinach and chocolate contain oxalic acid that prevents the absorption of magnesium that is required so calcium can do its job. Believe me I learned the hard way due to the grinding bone-on-bone pain after neck and back injuries.

Yes, I have had shingles at least 5 times, and one episode set off the nerves on my left rib and couldn't wear anything tight on it for over two years. As I wrote in my post... Pick your illness... to help others because John Sarno called his illness bluff and overcame by perseverance and study.

I have found my answers and overcome all but two huge liver cysts (autoimmune), the teeth need made NEW. I read a LOT. 5-8 hours a day and I don't feel very intelligent but I am determined. Nerve pain is excruciating...

I encourage you to read the work of Dr. Batmanghelidj. Watercure.com... and Carolyn Dean, the miracle of magnesium, and read about coconut oil, since I have come to believe it heals the body teeth to rectum.... Get a good multi mineral and milti vitamin and some omegas and GO SLOW VERY SLOW. SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE IN AGONY. You can overcome too. I found one of my answers after much search and trial on 4-27-13.. YAY :)

The body will heal given the right ingredients at the right time and I am proof.
- 1-2 cups water 1/2 hour before food
- Eat normal meal with coconut oil in food with supplements of magnesium citrate plus multi mineral and mutli vitamins and omegas and folic acid, betafood, sea salt in diet every meal
- 1-2 cups water 1/2 hour before next meal,
- Eat normal with magnesium citrate and multi mineral and betafood, coffee is a weakness so I drink some water between meals
- 1-2 cups water 1/2 hour before next meal
- Eat normal with betafood, some coffee

I also add yogurt, cranberry and garlic for intestinal health... May your JOY BE FULL

The idea is interesting. I used to wonder if I had imposed my illness on me somehow - subconsiously, or otherwise; I think it's one of the phases some people with a serious health problem go through. As much as I would love to get rid of my condition, which is atypical trigeminal neuralgia (constant facial pain), or trade it off for more "smaller" issues, I find that there is little I can do. Ignoring the disease is impossible, if there is pain as a constant reminder. So even when people tell me not to think about the pain and I'll be okay, they don't know what they're talking about. Nerves are a part of the autonomous nerve system -- no matter how hard I try, wish or pray or try to ignore them -- I cannot stop them from hurting. Maybe I just did a bad job picking my illness:)

I read heal back pain by John Sarno and he believes the body creates distractions in the form of health issues to protect the mind from issues that it deems to difficult to cope with. In the book he talks about how when you finally call the bluff of a health issue and ignore it, it moves to symptoms in another part of the body.... how weird!

Subconscious illnesses, made to keep us sane? What illness would you choose, if you could pick one and ditch all the ones you are currently trying to figure out?

It is interesting, my mom has alzheimers and since she has no memory, she no longer has IBS, high blood pressure, tension disorders, Candida, or emotional outburst and she has had numerous death defying health issues over the years.

Hi! I am so sorry about his pain. I have had trouble with sciatica on and off over the years. One thing that is easy to do and works well is Peppermint Essential Oil. I get organic since peppermint may be heavily sprayed. I was in a car for 13 hours today and my sciatica flared up. I rubbed peppermint oil onto my hand and over my lower back. (I think the inflammation there presses on the nerves causing the pain down my legs. ) It wasn't long before I was feeling better.

Plenty of water (not city water) is good for everything, including inflammation. Blackstrap molasses is also high in lots of things that may also be helpful. One Tablespoon a day, or when symptoms are bad is helpful. It can be taken straight or in warm milk.

Hope he gets some relief!

Hi Maggie from Calgary, Alberta. I posted information here on Earth Clinic about Pai-da (pat/slap) and La-jin (stretch tendons) which is Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM) that has been forgotten about even by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners. Lajin is a simple stretch that you do laying down on a bench or two chairs side by side. It is especially good for lower back and knee pain as the person doing the stretch will feel some relief from pain after just 5 minutes of stretching. Here is the link. https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/traditional-chinese-medicine2.html#PAI-DA_91546

Check out the video links. If you do not have the time to watch all the videos, then fast forward to 19 minutes on the introduction video to see the stretch using chairs. Then go to Part one of the second video and fast forward to 51 minutes to see an audience member do the stretch and how he benefits from it. Hopefully your husband will try it and you can let us know his results. Maureen

Chronic Back Pain Remedies

Hi Maggie, Neglected to address the mucous issue. What happened to me is I discovered my bowels had telescoped inside themselves. This is called intussusception and can occur from the stomach to the rectum. I believe this is what constipation really is. When this happens it is my opinion that impacted stool can begin to ferment if it is not evacuated and can become malignant. If I get adequate vitamin A, mucous seems to be produced in the colon attempting to remove impacted stool. I had been so impacted I vomited because my food could not be digested---there was no room for it to move through. I was so full of this matter it was difficult to keep my weight down

It was reported to me that my grandmother died from colon cancer. I was told she had some of her colon removed, had a colostomy then went back for more surgery to reattach the colon that has been left. Twenty-twenty hindsight suggests to me that intussusception had been her problem but this was back in the 50's and maybe not known how to treat. I do not want to live the rest of my life with a colostomy.

I don't know if it is too late for me to correct because I did have cancer diagnosed in 1989. I can massage my abdomen and feel stool move and sometimes I feel a "squishing" and if you look up intussusception online you can pull up a picture of what is happening. Some will say it's hereditary but I believe eating habits are hereditary. I'm trying to use food as my medicine instead of pleasure. Even though our food is being engineered to last longer and the longer you cook it, it creates more MSG I still feel it makes it easier to assimilate. You just have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself and reduce portions. I hope this has offered some help and not caused more confusion. It's difficult for me to sit here long periods and sometimes I lose my train of thought.

You may also want to rule out dental problems.

Sometimes, taking the time to have a good bowel movement helps my lower back pain and sciatica. Taking 1/2 tsp of dry mustard in 1/2 C cool water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning before breakfast helped me so much I sometimes took it a couple hours after dinner, before I went to bed until I resumed more regularity. I had a spine/back injury about five decades ago. Could be why both of my babies were breech? Only one was caesarean. Just trying to offer another possibility due to my experience. Turmeric in some warm water reduces inflammation. Ginger reduces inflammation too and destroys salmonella. I sprinkle both on my eggs and vegetables with sea salt. The commercial salt that is in everything contains a flowing/anti-caking agent that causes inflammation and is the culprit for many ailments and I know for a fact the severe sciatica I used to have was caused by this.

A web site watercure.com I just never understood that bending over was not benefitting like bending backward does. We know so little about ourselves and that is where we end up stuck.

Also take a bath and the water will trick the body into believing the pain is coming from a larger area and diminish the signals of pain. Drink water and eat a proper dose of salt to keep the water in your cells, and take a good multi mineral supplement to get rehydrated. It helps to cushion your joints.

MAKE CHANGES SLOWLY, to prevent distress to your system

Magnesium is the mineral for muscle and an epson salt soak in the foot bath or tub does wonders for pain and helps regulate heart muscle.

Maggie: You should try some kind of Back Brace so that one area of injury isn't stressed so badly. Medical supply stores like Dr Leonard's have several kinds. I once used a leather weight lifters belt on my lower back with very good results. Magnet therapy will help; but you will need a rather strong magnet like what is used in a music speaker to penetrate deep. Someone posted good results from the light infrared or fared therapy purchased for private use (as opposed to the very high prices chiropractors charge). Any kind of massage therapy should also help.

Hi Maggie from Calgary - It's unfortunate that your husband won't see a doctor or chiropractor to get a diagnosis. However, there was a recent article by Dr. Mercola (http://fitness.mercola.com/sites/fitness/archive/2013/03/29/back-pain-treatment.aspx) that might give you some ideas. The comments at the end (just click on it - it takes awhile to load) are usually very good. People offer suggestions on what worked for their particular back problem.

For temporary relief, you may want to look into an infrared heating pad. I can't list any brand names (although a popular one - used with horses as well as humans - begins with T and ends with X) but you can call Shoppers Drug Mart Home Health and they should be able to discuss various types with you.

Good luck! Cheers, Bess

Chronic Back Pain Remedies

Hi. My husband has been suffering chronic back pain for over a year and a half. He is in pain every single day and has to stop and rest every day when we walk the dog. Sometimes he is walking and stoops over to try and minimize the pain. When he stands too long in the kitchen he has to go sit down and rest. The closest description I have been able to get from him through reading types of pain is sciatica. He injured his back at work a year and a half ago and has not had a day without pain since. He refuses to go and see a doctor so I try what I can but am not sure if any supplements can help what he has. Not sure if it has anything to do with foods he eats. He does not sleep well, is tired all the time and usually needs a restful period every afternoon. I do not know what type of injury he has without a proper diagnosis. He also suffers from excess mucus after eating which I doubt has anything to do with his back pain. He actually had that problem before the injury. I have tried him on several things but he gets impatient if he does not experience immediate relief. The best he feels is if he has a bath with epsom salts and then rests on the bed. I have recently added magnesium citrate pills at doses of 500 mg but as yet he has not seen any improvement. I also increased his vitamin D since he has several symptoms of vitamin D deficiency, he has dark skin, suffers SAD in the winter time. Are any of these things related? Is there anything else I can do to help without a doctor or chiropractor's visit? I tried to get him to do the castor oil packs but he had no patience with that. I tried candied ginger slices which he tried for 1-2 days and then found them useless. Like I said, if he doesn't feel immediate relief it is hard to try natural remedies with him. Any advise please?

Tailbone Pain Remedies

I forgot to mention....... when using the core ball make sure your knees do not extend out over the foot. The ball helps get butt back where it belongs where it cushions the tailbone to protect it from seam in pants and lumps in chairs and springs in bed. Start slow .... The core ball is lots of fun... Bounce on it... do some little hoola hoop rotations... Bend backward over the ball to arch the back and stretch spine open.

I'm using mine a couple hours most days, moving around while doing other things on computer and tv. Get the one with the hand pump that looks like a claulk tube size, it goes fast when pumping it up.

Yes, Tailbone pain really sucks. If it is overwhelming get in the tub with some epson salt and soak , Take a large glass or two of water in there and drink it while you soak, I like to take an apple with me and put sea salt on it and eat while I soak and drink. The body signals get tricked by the water into thinking the pain is coming from a larger area and the signals get diminished.

Get a core ball (65 cm) to sit on to take the pain off the bone , you don't have to fill the ball too full and you sink into it as a cushion. You can increase muscle once you adjust to the core ball by doing some slow movements on it. My core is tightening up more with each passing day.

I ruptured L-5 and 4 3 2 were bulging ... Pain in the pattootie really sucked!

Sleep with a pillow under your legs near your rear to take pressure off the lower spine. I wrap a gel pack that is frozen in a dish towel and ice the spine in bed or sometimes a recliner to stop any inflammation pain.

Constipation can make spinal issues worse, Magnesium citrate -might help and I love coconut oil for improved overall health

I am a 65 year old female in good health. About six months ago, out of the blue, I began having tailbone (coccyx) pain. I did not have an injury. Over the last few months I have tried the following. I took hyaluronic acid for about three days but it made me very tired and brain foggy so I stopped. I have tried MSM, tumeric, ginger, vit. D, VCO and stretching with no improvement. (MSM does help a lot with other joint issues. ) I tried ACV for about a month but had to stop because of a previous ulcer. It seemed to be irritating my stomach. I can't take NSAIDs either for the same reason. I juice every morning.

Has anyone had tailbone pain that got better on it's own or by using any remedies that I have not tried?

Ok, I've often been disheartened because posters on earthclinic don't followup as they promise. So, I'm taking time to do so about the use of hyaluronic acid for what I suspect is a bulging, hopefully not ruptured, lower back disc. I believe from chiropractors' rpts, it's in the L discs. Anyway, see my above use of HA over the past month of so. My face swelled so horribly from Ted's recipe and even when I cut out the salt and cut the HA down, I retained water so terribly my eyes looked sunken in a very puffy face. Anyway, I cut it, the HA, down again 10 days ago to 30 mg each morning and bedtime. I continue my glucosamine/chondroitin MSM 1500 daily.

While I am mostly painfree sitting, walking, standing, my nights are well, a nightmare as I can no longer sleep back or sides because of the severe pain in back and hips and right leg goes numb. I'm now sleeping, as I have never before mostly on my stomach which is challenging.

I've been eating a strict healthy diet the past six months devoid of wheat products and haven't experienced joint pain. I broke from the diet a week ago one night and pigged out on wheat bread just that one night. I woke during the night and every joint in my body was on fire. I realized for the first time that what many have written about wheat causing inflammation is probably true. An interesting sidenote, do some research and you will find wheat seed was modified going back to the 1950's. The abuse science in the name of the buck has perpetrated on mankind is unforgivable.

I also began using coconut oil, CO for the uninitiated, a couple weeks ago, doing the pulling at night before bed, using also as a face and body and hair oil, and cooking with it. Yes, I smell vaguely like a coconut.

I also drink a quart of raw lemon water daily, about a half lemon and continue my healthy eating and the swelling from the HA has subsided (see dosages above I've tried).

If my broken sleep patterns continue, I'll try upping the HA gradually. I'll report back how I am in a month or two.

Thanks to earthclinic posters and the site administrators for an incredible help for those looking to alternate health remedies.

Stretching

Thanks for your post. I should have mentioned in my earlier post today on hyaluronic acid (HA) that yes stretching I believe has helped me far more than chiropactors and certainly far more than the medical establishment, still paying the multi thousands I was charged by hospital and several "specialists" for xrays 18 months ago. It's ungodly the abuse we suffer at the hands... well, I'll get back to the subject.

Anyway, I designed several back exercises, for lower disc, the L discs bulge, that don't require my laying on floor or even bed. I stand at the V of my kitchen counter, settling my weight on hands and arms, and while completely relaxing my back and leg, dangle the leg back and forth for a minute or so, both legs. Then I bend knee and dangle another minute or so both legs. When I do this, feeling and warmth RUSH all the way down legs and to sole of foot. I do this every time I enter the kitchen, several times a day so that at the end of the day I've put in five to ten minutes total. Doing just before bedtime also helps you sleep better.

I'd be interested in trying your exercises also. Thanks for posting.

Ted's Remedies
Posted by Wellspruce (Juneau, Ak, USA) on 02/01/2013

I'm extremely disappointed to read of your poor results from "batch 2" hyaluronic acid (HA) from www.purebulk.com. I started 100 mg 3X a day three days ago using Ted's remedy on one of the hyaluronic acid sites on earthclinic. Several things: I eat a rigid diet and have gained one or two pounds, secondly I'm alarmed at the amount of sea salt in Ted's remedy~~two tsp of sea salt which would be consumed over about two days. I'm hoping the weight gain is because of the salt and have made the following change.

This morning I eliminated the salt and take 100 mg straight in water followed by a glass of water. I will do this 3X a day for a few days and if my weight gain continues, I will decrease to 50-75 mg 3X a day and etc. I'll report back my results. Does anyone know if salt is REQUIRED to assimilate HA into body tissues and joints?

Also in doing further reading I think it's safe to say most HA is now derived synthetically in the lab and not naturally from rooster comb. For extensive understanding of how HA works, a scientific article on HA can be read at this site http://www.naturalworldhealing.com/hyaluronic-acumeridian-hypothesis.htm.

Dear Lynn from Pearlington, I think it is time you see a doctor and soon. The symptoms you described could very well be the result of some condition that is effecting your spinal cord. In my opinion you need to have the sort of examination done that can identify the cause of this pain and numbness. Such tests may include X-rays and or an MRI scan. Quick playing around with treatments that are NOT working and find out what is wrong with you....Oscar

Wellspruce; I got a batch of this from purebulk.com about 18 months ago, for spinal disk collapse type back problems. That 1st batch worked wonders. And worked fast, reliably.

However, I ran out of batch #1, and then re-ordered some more, about 6 months ago, we will call it batch #2. When I began taking batch #2, the healing effect or regenerating effect on the collapsed disks was now very weak. I could barely tell it was doing anything for me. I have tested it now for 6 months with the same results.

So I came to the conclusion that batch #2 was biologically inferior to batch #1, and could not do what it did. So be aware that there is a difference between batches of products from this supplier. I hope you got a biologically active batch.

I believe this hyaluron is now made from GMO, GENETICALLY MODIFIED BACTERIA CULTURES, specifically bred/made to manufacture this hyaluron substance, in a lab. I have read internet articles that hinted at this method of production, but would not come out and say specifically that they are using GMO bacteria.

Since I also spent about $100 on the last batch, I can not now afford to buy any more test batches to try and get the good stuff.... Altho I wish I could. Hyaluron roulette.

Ted's Remedies

Received a large bag of bulk hyaluronic acid (HA) two days ago, cost is around $100 but will last a yr or two I suspect because 222 mg is only a qtr tsp (this may seem expensive, but is a pittance to what I've paid doctors the past three years). Ted's recipe is 500 mg (slightly heaping 1/2 tsp) of HA plus 9 grams (about 2 tsp) sea salt in 500 cc (2 cups) of filtered or distilled water. Take 8 caps in a glass of water 3 times a day on empty stomach. Store in refrigerator. He said this is his recipe for a 150 lb person; adjust dosages according to weight of person.

Ted reports usual relief is experienced after about three weeks even rendering patients painfree that suffered with catastrophic spinal degeneration. Makes me so hopeful. See his posts on this page.

Anyway I began yesterday taking three times a day on empty stomach using Ted's recipe above. Here's hoping and praying this works as for three years I've lived with extreme lower back pain, the tail bone vertebrae and nerve damage, resulting in pain and numbness in back, right hip and thigh. After years of doctor, chiropractor, and hospital visits and stays~~I'm still paying off the hospital, I'm still in pain. Nothing the "specialist" doctors did helped me nor EVEN gave me relief unless you count the knockout pain pills.

I became desperate and researched joint pain and healing myself. I've been taking Glucosamine HCI 1500mg with MSM 1500mg for some months. That and exercises I developed myself give me some relief by day but nighttime waking dozens of times a night with pain has driven me to exhaustion. Based on Ted's timeline for results, I'll report back every couple weeks and let you know the results I personally have from the hyaluronic acid.

It's because of Ted's seeming successes with many maladies reported here on earthclinic and his obvious expertise as a holistic healer, I decided to try his remedy for joint pain.

Here's an interesting sidenote: I researched and discovered HA is derived from rooster comb or "made in labs" and not sure if what is made in labs is synthetic. If anyone knows which www.bulk.com carries I'd surely be interested to know and would appreciate the post to this page.

Good luck and God's blessings on all of you who are reading this and are in pain. May the Lord speed you to healing.

Hi, try an Epsom salt bath if you've not tried that yet. Also get a hair analysis done to see if you are very deficient in any vitamins or minerals.

The middle of my back, between shoulder blade and spine, started having severe pain, with dull ache and stabbing pain when I moved or did anything. My skin is almost as bad with the burning, pins and needles, and crawling sensation. I have tried chiropractor, acupunture, pulsed magnetic therapy, herbal cleansing, stretching. It has been months now and still NADA, and now my back is becoming numb. I can hardly work. I am miserable.

Hello. My husband has two herniated discs and has been in horrible shape for the past four months. The discs are hitting a nerve and his pain has shot down to his legs and feet. Please help! We have tried medication, massages, chiros, nothing is working.

We would like to try Ted's Remedy, but am confused as to how to take it. I ordered the HA, but it also says take it with sea salt, there are so many on there, I don't know which one to order. If someone can clarify Ted's remedy for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

DMSO
Posted by Tapike (San Augustine, Texas) on 12/10/2012

I don't seem to have any sensitivity to DMSO, but for those of you who do, try looking for it with Aloe Vera added to it. The Aloe Vera seems to help in counteracting any redness, itching or blistering that the DMSO may cause. If you can't find the combination (usually found at local ranch/agricultural feed stores), then just buy some pure Aloe Vera juice or gel & stir in a little DMSO before applying. In buying DMSO, look for a 70% DMSO/30% Distilled Water ratio on the bottle. Try a 50/50 mixture of Aloe Vera & DMSO & if that's too strong, adjust the ratios accordingly until you have one that works best for you. Someone else may have better predetermined ratios than I do, however.

Inversion Table Therapy

Inverson table, I have chronic back pain. I bought this table and was using it for the pain. One day after using it for 3 or 4 min. I got a terrible headache, this went on for a week or so. My Dr. was doing routine exams and found I had a brain anurisum, I went to a Dr for that it was at level 3. At that time I did nothing, 8 months later he re-checked and it had gone to 9. At this level I was in the danger zone so I had to have it coiled. I do not suggest this table for anyone, I know that is what did the damage and I was thinking it was sinus. Had my Dr. not caught it and sent me to have it checked out I would most likely not be here today.

Ted, could you explain the Hyaluronic acid remedy for back pain? If I take 500 cc water it is about 2 cups, and the 8 caps is about 1/3 of a cup that should be taken twice daily. Does it mean that the whole amount is good for only 3 days or am I missing something? Thanks, Eva

Hyaluronic Acid

I have been in two car accidents, both of them I got rear ended in. My lower back has not been the same for 7 years, I have disc problems, etc. I read about Hyaluronic Acid and I had to try it. I ordered it from Vitacost. It has been a Godsend. I thought I was going to have to have surgery on my back, as I have been in that much pain. I have been to Orthopedic Physicians and given pain medication, which I do not like to take, next step was to have injections, and if that didn't work, surgery. I started taking HA and after the first day of taking 3 capsules, my pain subsided over 50%. It's been day 5, and I hardly feel any pain whatsoever. I am 52 years old, and since taking HA, I now have hardly any pains at all. I love Earth Clinic!

Ted's Remedies
Posted by Veronica (Colton, California) on 10/17/2012

After several years dealing with back issues I became disabled for an entire year due to severe sciatica caused by 2 bulging discs in my lower back. The trditional Doctors did a good job of keeping me numb and drugged up. Not to mention the lost of monetary savings going to various different "specialists". Chiropractic services helped and an acupuncturist was a lot better. But I would relapse with episodes of severe pain in either my lower back, piriformis, gastrox and big toe. I came across Ted's Remedy after resorting to 18 natural pills a day for pain and inflamation. I immediately began the remedy and stopped all pills to test this remedy. I am not cured but my quality of life has returned and I am not hunched over dreading a walk anywhere. I highly recommend Ted's Remedy and have left my primary care physician astonished after she saw me at work working.

Myofascial Release
Posted by Suzy (Eugene, Or) on 10/09/2012

Thank you Lisa from T. O... I felt a 100% improvement from when I walked into the treatment retreat. Still felt pretty good this am... But after sitting all day at work, I am hurting starting to feel it again. It is between my shoulder blades and neck and the left shoulder. I took the Arnica tablets -sublingually (3) twice yesterday. (I am having problems getting the cream applied to the right spots.... As my only housemate is a dog! ) I will take the tube to the gym tomorrow as I have a friend that may be able to help be get it worked in. I do a water class 3 times a week. I would like to feel better so I can add in some more classes... like a Pilates.

Myofascial Release
Posted by Lisa (Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa) on 10/08/2012

Hi Suzy, I have had quite a bit of myofascial release work done. Over the years I would especially get it for my hip because of the pain from years of dancing. I would do a series since that's what is recommended. It would always seem to aggravate it more. But I would persist believing it would get better as I got the treatments. I've tried this 3 separate times over the years and each time I've had the same reaction. The therapists were all excellent at their work, it's just that my body didn't seem to respond well. And, I really wanted it to work!

What works best for me is just deep tissue massage. As for arnica, I have used that for many years and recommend it to all my dance students. It's for muscle pain, inflammation, bruising and sprains. It can be taken homeopathically or used topically in a gel. The well-known Traumeel cream includes this remedy in it.

Anyway, that's my feedback regarding this. You may respond very well to it though. Hope this helps, Lisa
