I am a 29 yr old female, generally healthy, eat well and exercise. I contracted HPV 10 yrs ago and never had issues until recently.

The past 6 months of my life have been very stressful with work, travel, and family. I have not been eating or exercising as well as I normally do, and have not been drinking enough water either. And I have been drinking more alcohol than normal and smoking marijuana.

Then a couple of days ago I realize the couple of bumps I have down there are not in-grown hairs or pimples. Absolutely horrifying to me to realize they are general warts. So so gross and embarrassing. It was the first time in my life to ever have them (and I am hoping my last).

First I freaked out, called my BFF, cried. THEN I made an appointment with my doctor, THEN I started researching home remedies and reading about Apple Cider Vinegar on this site. I thought it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I did not do the Q-tip Band-Aid method however. I was concerned about leaving the vinegar on the wart for that long.

Here is what I did. I just got some Organic ACV with the veil of the mother in it (I don't know what that means but apparently it's good for you). Shake up the vinegar, soak little pieces of paper towel OR a Q-tip in the vinegar, then gently press directly onto the wart. Leave it on for a couple of minutes, then get a fresh Q-tip / paper towel, soak it, press gently on the wart again. Repeat this process until each wart has been treated with ACV for about 10-20 minutes.

It will start to burn and turn white after about 5 minutes, that's how you know for sure it's genital warts. The burning is not so bad you can't stand it, but if it ever gets too much, just take the vinegar off the wart and end the treatment until next time.

I have been doing this twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. After 5 treatments, the warts are so much smaller, I can tell this is seriously working very well. I still have another 5 treatments until my doctor appointment, so I'm hoping they will be cleaned up by then.

However, I will say, it's important to still go see the doc when you get warts in my opinion. You have to make sure they are not inside anywhere, plus there are probably a few warts you can't see but are hidden in your private areas. I think I have one on my butthole and in one other area that's pretty hard to get to by myself with ACV. So, I'm hoping the doctor can just quickly burn those off, and then I can focus on just eating healthy and exercising and getting my body back in balance so I can suppress this horrible disgusting virus.

Final note, After the ACV treatment, I swiped my surrounding healthy, non-wart skin with Aloe because the little bit of ACV that touches it can make it dry and itchy.

So, Yes, ACV works well to reduce the size of the warts after just 2-3 days, and I'm sure if I keep using it it will remove the visible ones all together. But, I advise to go to the doctor too. Not something you want to take risks on with at-home remedies alone.

Day 6: I did not apply any apple cider/vit d/aspirin on day 5. Just put on some antibiotic cream and let things have a day off.

Most (if not all) of the plaque-like warts are gone. They wiped off. Not all at once. Gradually, little bits of tissue come off when I wipe.

The large warts are somewhat hard and noticeably smaller.

It is definitely working!

Still depressed. But keep telling myself I just caught a virus and there is no real shame in that.

So far the ACV has worked on the actual warts more than I imagined it would. I know I'll probably have a little white scar tissue left over but hopefully this will be better than the warts themselves. When I started I had a small cluster of 3 small ones and a very big ugly wart that I'd had for like 5 years, the cluster of 3 started turning black literally in like 2 days and after about 4 days in the shower I noticed they were gone. The really big one obviously has been much tougher due to its size and how long I've had it I'm assuming. I've been attacking it for about 2 weeks (though I have taken a day off here or there when the surrounding skin was getting burnt from the acid so I didnt make that worse). More and more of it began turning black over the span and a few days ago it got really hard. Yesterday most of it fell off with a small part of the wart that was the bottom still on b/c of how big it was that part of the wart never really got ACV on it.

I'll update if anything radical happens but at this point since what's leftover is really no bigger than the 3 that were gone in about 4 days I'm hoping this will be relatively easy compared to the 2 weeks its taken so far.

So basically, I never went to the doctors to get diagnosed with GW I have had sex with 8 different people in the space of 2 years I went to the clinic twice in those two years with the all clear. I noticed the lumps quite a long time ago but I thought that it was damaged skin from where I used a toothbrush to masturbate regularly before I was old enough to go buy a vibrator. It wasn't til a few months ago possibly 5 or 6 months that I looked in detail at the area, just to the left of my vagina right at the top in line with my clitoris , a small cluster of clear bubble like lumps I left them for a long time thinking that it's unlikely to have actually contracted something, you never think it would happen to you, right! Well I looked at some google imaged of genital warts and decided that it exactly what I have, I paid £29 something for a cream on the Internet and it still hadn't come 2 days before I was due to have sex with this man I'm seeing.

I read about the apple cider vinegar on this site and at 11pm on Thursday night I put a soaked cotton wool ball on the infected area I didn't feel the burn to begin with I left it there for a couple of hours and took it off to go to sleep, they looked white ish like how your skin looks when you sit in the bath for too long. I woke up early that morning 7.30am and I began the process again left It on there for a good 4 hours they were then dark grey and with my pubic hair disguising them I was more confident to meet my guy that evening. Friday night came and went and all went well with sex- I wasn't found out. I'm now in bed at 11pm Friday night exactly two days later and I have no warts on my vagina I just took a mirror to look, bearing in mind I hadn't put the vinegar on since friday morning, they were a brownish scab and I gently pulled it off revealing slightly rough but healthy skin :) I'm so happy I don't feel it's necessary to tell my sexual partner about this as with warts there's no huge harm as long as you can't see them. I don't care if I have the virus :/ this may seem bad but I can't even imagine telling anyone about this ever! But seriously this treatment is amazing I didn't think it would actually work but 2 days later I'm looking beautiful down there again it's just relieved me so much hope this account helps anyone in a similar situation :)

It's not that the ACV doesnt work because they come back, they come back because it is a virus in your body, not just your skin. The virus is still there even if the warts arent. Removing warts does help clear the virus, but a lot of people have to repeatedly clear warts. Not everybody clears the virus quickly either, if you want to clear the virus enough to not pass it on during sex with a condom, you have to excercise and up your immune system and keep up with these habits. I've have hpv genital warts for almost over 5 years because up until recently I was drinking alcohol and abusing my body.

I am currently using a product with the main ingredient of Apple Cider Vinegar. After 2-3 weeks total, I'm better but not cured.. My warts seem to be the stubborn ones that are deeply rooted for they all have a flat bump on them now.. My main question/concern is that my warts turned black and fell off within the first week.. But the left over bump doesn't seem to be turning black.. It still stings when I apply ACV and turns white.. But after a few hours or so it turns back to a fleshy color.. Is ACV only working to a certain point? Any one else with similar experiences? I doubt I will get an answer for no one likes to post responses.. Btw I've had my GW for 4-5 years now and I'm a male.. It seems I just have to give it more time, but every week I grow more impatient little by little..

Genital Warts Remedies

I have been having genital warts for I don't know how long. But have lots of it around my urethra, hymen, the lips of my vagina and the opening. Its very disgusting. Well, I went to the gyno and they treated me with some acidic stuff but it only peeled of a few warts. I then tried soaking ACV into cotton balls and have been using them since. It has been around 3 weeks now and many of the warts has gone. It somehow melts and forms into discharges or has gotten smaller in size. Some of the skin are very raw and some are still white. I'm still treating the white parts though. I have also been using acv soaked tampons for 2 weeks now to treat the ones inside (I don't know if I have them inside but just to take precautions) It doesn't hurt when I insert the tampon inside. It only hurts around 1 inch from the vaginal entrance because of the bleeding - it turns white after I remove the tampon. I know they are warts (first 1 inch from the opening) but does it mean that I have more inside even if I don't feel the pain after 2 weeks? Should I continue treating the ones inside? Please Help. Thank You

This disease sucks! I've had it since i was in my early 20s. Basically a result of a bad one night stand gone horribly wrong. I'm 36 now and depending on my stress or if i get sick i can most certainly count on an outbreak. My case is relatively mild compared to others. When i get them they are flat and resemble a red sore area. Its very atypical but I've been to my doctor numerous times and each time have all the herpes, syphilis etc etc etc blood work done (even though they did test a tissue sample a few years back and it indicated HPV) each time my blood work always comes back negative for everything.

Doctors are the most unhelpful when dealing with this. Last week I went again for the second time and the last thing my doctor asked while scratching her head not knowing really how to cure this thing. My doctor asked, "Well, is this something you could sort of just live with?" Yeah my ---- looks like it just vacationed on a leper colony and I'm just supposed to be ok with that. grrrrr!

So I tried this ACV thing. Stung like a bitch, yes, but I must say i think its working. The first day I soaked a tiny little pieces of a cotton ball in the ACV , put it over the trouble spots (there's two) and left it to do its thing while watching TV at the end of the day for about 4 or 5 hours.

I also tried to keep it on at night while i slept but ended up taking it off at around 2am or so because it hurt sooooo bad.

The next day it was red and raw and really hurt. To keep my junk from swinging around to much i put a sock on it under my clothes (obviously)...lol...you'll notice a few more winks and smiles from everyone after you do this.

Because it was so raw, the second day i just left it alone. About all i did was apply bacitracin.

On day 3 (today) Ive noticed the spots have turned blackish and have dried out a bit. I'm applying the ACV again for about an hour before work. Depending on how they feel I may do the same again this evening.

Out of ALL the remedies I've tried this is the only treatment that has made a difference. I've had all the creams from the doctor..they dont work. Silver oxide gel...doesn't work....honey, nope just tastes sweet...neosporin doesnt work but will ease irritation. I even convinced the doctor to give me prescription strength antibiotic solution to apply to it...doesn't do a damn thing except keep it from getting infected. Last but not least I was told by my doctor to try yeast infection cream...total waste of time!

I have had them frozen off before as well. I have had good results with that as well but it involves going in and showing off an embarrassing thing to basically a stranger who may or may not judge you...who may or may not be willing to even perform the procedure. (esppecially if you have one on the glans..,they dont like to freeze anything on there)

So anyway I am trying to be hopeful and as long as each day I see improvement they I'll stick with this remedy. Its been 6 weeks and I'm really looking forward to sex again!!!!

i have had genital warts for a year now, just 2 which are very small.but recently i have noticed a change they are much bigger and one is a cauliflower shape.so i read up on the net about acv, so i have been using it for 5 days now and i can see a difference.one has fallen off and the other 2 are getting black in colour. it does sting the skin around the wart and i have now got a few blisters but im putting up with the pain as it seems to be working on the warts. ill keep you update about the larger one as im sure it will take much longer.

*UPDATE* so ive had a recurrence. the area previously treated has not broken out again but it seems as though the virus is running its course in different areas. and. for a while there every wart i got rid of a few more would pop up! it was very frustrating, this has been a horrible month long endeavor since the first breakout. also i noticed that places i was first treated by the doctor with acid turned into little moles, not warts, i tested them, but moles!!! that acid crap is the devil! anyways, the warts have migrated to the clitoral area, luckily none have located themselves directly on the clit itself but on the hood and the area around it. this area has proved to be quite difficult to treat. since it is very moist and rubs while walking/sitting/doing pretty much anything the warts are quick to spread. so. for this area, this is what i did:

1. take cotton balls soaked with acv and squeeze out the excess before packing them in the affected area. NOTE* if you have been treating this area for several days and it becomes sensitive, dilute the avc with water.

2. after leaving on for 1-3 hours one to two times a day remove the cotton balls. rinse with warm water. GENTLY massage liquid antibacterial soap on the area. be careful not to pick or scratch the area, let any dead skin/scabs/dead warts fall off on their own when they are ready. picking and scratching will only spread them around. rinse. Rinse. RINSE. with water of course.

3. pat dry with some tp or a towel that you will not use again until after it is washed. apply vitamin e oil to the treated areas. again, be careful to not pick or scratch.

4. place dry cotton balls on the area treated. this helps control the moisture and prevents any open sores from touching healthy skin. do this until the warts are no longer present and the skin has returned to its normal healthy state.

5. WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH DOWN THERE!!!!!!! AND DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL YOU HAVE. please, be clean :) you dont want to accidentally give this to anyone else do you?

after much trial and error this is what i have found works best and may work for you. tea tree oil can be used in place of the vitamin e oil but test in a small area first. i am possibly allergic to it and it makes me itch like crazy, which made me scratch, which spread the problem. also, tea tree oil has a very strong minty odor that is VERY noticeable. vitamin e oil does not. i also take a few supplements such as prenatal vitamins, garlic pills, vitamin e gel caps, and apple cider vinegar tablets. every freakin day. consistency is everything. this treatment is working well so far but you must have patience. ive been dealing with this for almost two months now and im really impressed with the fact that i can regulate this problem with something so simple. no matter what method you choose to treat the warts, there will always be a chance of recurrence and no treatment has been proven to be more effective than another since everyone is a little different. what works for you might not work for someone else. the best that you can do is to be healthy, consistent, and to stay positive. you will beat this.

ACV vs Anal Warts: I am so happy to finally have stumbled upon this site. Back in early 07 I started noticing these skin tag looking things appear on my left side of my groin. Thinking they where skin tags and didnt bug me I let them be. So after about a year or so I said to myself time to rid of these thinking they where skin tags I just made everything worse. They had actualy spread down to my anal area. So I said time to go see the doctor. He identified them as Genital Warts and sent me to a dermatologist. First visit all I can say is ouch 4 injections and then cut them off with a blade then took what looked like a torch to my skin to burn skin back together. As for the anal ones tho sent me to a anal surgeon and they gave me aldara, no luck with it at all. Said I would need surgery and need to be knocked out. So after a week and they still have not contacted me about the surgery I took matters in my own hands and stumbled upon this site. And boy am I glad I just started the treatment last night (tried to keep the gauze soaked in acv in over night but it burned to much) so i took it out and went back to sleep woke up to shower and even tho ive yet to figure out a way to get a view of the area they felt smaller and feel differnt now granted I am still really sore from last night so ive yet to reapply but I picked some tree tee oil and vitamin e up to speed up the healing back there so I can reapply. My question is can I put the tea tree oil and acv on at the same time? I want to do treatments daily but after last night keeping it in atleast 4-5 hours I woke up in pain and today even after 2 showers still hurts? Any advice woudl be greatly appretiated.

I have had GW for over 10 years, I only had one out break when i was 17, and haven't had one since, until last week! I thought they were gone for good, then i came across this website, and began using apple cider vinager for two days, I thought I only had one small wart but come to find out there were much more. Now they have doubled in size and are very pink. Im hope that this works. So far, the only result I have is that they have gotten bigger. I used a regular size cotton ball with ACV, applied it for one hour last night, three hours so far today (when i get home i will sleep with it) and I am praying that they fall off by next week. I have started taking Womans one a day, Vitamin E pills, garlic pills 4 times a day and ACV pills twice a day. I hope to build up my metabolizim in hopes these annoying things go away!

Have GW going on 12 years now. Done the whole dermatology routine from burning to freezing to Aldara/etc. Nothing seems to work - freezing is only temporary. So now I'm trying other cures and gave ACV a try. Now, my GW are in the groin area / top of the shaft and can't really be counted. They are more like three separate pinkish masses. Anyhow, I soaked some cotton balls with ACV and applied to the affected areas and taped them overnight. No burning. Nothing. In the morning, I shower and then apply Vitamin E which I keep on during the day. I've done this for five straight nights now. I actually switched the type of ACV after the second evening. Originally it was a generic supermarket brand. I then went to a health store and purchased the unfiltered, organic type.

I took some digital photos of the area and looked at them on the computer screen. Some minor irritation to the whole area. Definitely a bunch of tiny new ones have popped up. Roughly 5% of the area is turning black but that's about it. I didn't expect a miracle cure but I was certainly hoping for better results considering all the stories I've read. I plan to take the weekend off and then begin again - this time mixing the ACV with crushed aspirin. Hopefully this will produce better results. On top of the ACV treatment, I've begun to take a one-a-day vitamin, Vitamin E (1200 I.U.) and Elderberry Extract (1500mg) to help fight the HPV. I realize this will take time but I would really like to see more improvement in combating the physical warts. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

i have been using ACV for a few days now. the first day i did a tampon soaked in full ACV and placed it in my vaginal canal i left it there for an hour. after removing it everything was white that i could see. i then repeated it again a few hours later this time leaving it in for 2hours and more whiteness appeared. i also have 4 warts on the entrance to my vagina and have been using a q-tip in acv applied to them as i am not wanting this area to be totally sore. other areas fromt he tampon around my vagina are sore/ raw from the ACV contact.. this was the first day...wednesday

now on thursday i tried the soaked tampon again and had it in there for 10-15 minutes as it hurt way bad i mean ouch! i was in pain so i took it out. i decided to take a break this day just spot treated with acv and tea tree oil to the outside ones that i have. the tea tree oil has seemed to make them bigger a little bloated as i think it is getting absorbed by the warts so i am sticking with this . i have heard that tea tree oil has removed warts for others.

friday i did a douche with ACV and this burnt too not as ad as the tampon was more bearable but boy did it make a mess. lol. i was still spot treating this i am assuming will take longer than the direct application but eventually i think will work it is in a hard place and i can't quite get and cotton ball or tape to stay put and they are very small the 4 of them. SOOOO....
on to saturday i did a spot treatment as much as possible kinda letting it rest but in the evening/night i started to get a itch in my vaginal opening. not sure if its cause it is cause the acv is dryingme out or what or from the burns that i have now. eaither way i can only feel relieved from it if i apply vitanmin E on the entrance and inside. when i did this it felt better .

sunday this is day 5 and i did another tampon soaked in the ACV and left it there for 1 hour it burnt jsut like the first time once again everything turned white. i also did a hydrogen peroxide douche before this to clean out any material in there before the tampon no chunkies have been coming out but the last few days i have been having a discharge. not sure if it is the skin from the warts or not. but i did have to apply more vitimin E as i am itchy still. IS ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM GIRLS!!! ITS DRIVING ME NUTS I HOPE THIS IS NOT GONNA LAST! the vitamin E really helps sooth it and when i felt around in my canal with a latex glove on i didn't feel as many warts in there so i think i am making progress. i will mention that i have had these internal warts for about 6 years and they have never spread. i do not have any on the outside of my crotch just the very opening.

i am hopeing that the tea tree oil and the vitimin E are adding to the wart removal process. i heard of other rmoving their warts with the TTO and someone said they removed their warts with the Vitimin E so im using them all just in case. i will take this proceedure lightly as i a do not want to hurt myself too bad. i do not like pain especially in this area!!! i will post later to update you all.

i tried the acv treatment. this is day 4. i have 2 warts next to my anus. i have tried the acv treatment for 3 days now. they have started turning white but i cannot do it today. it hurts to bad. im trying not to be overly aggressive. but i am a little discouraged. i want these suckers gone. i have not been diagnosed with hpv and i have never had an abnormal pap but my sister who used to work at a gyn said they were probably warts. my first one appeared 4 years ago about 3 inches from my anus. she used dental floss and tied that wart off. so much less painful than this acv treatment. it just fell off in 3 days. the 2 i have now are much larger than my 1st one 4 years ago. any advice? i want to keep using the acv. am i being impatient? 3 days about 2 hours a day and they are still here.
