Started to feel ill after eating some dodgy pork steaks tonight. Within a few hours I could feel the nausea and cramps starting up. Had a look on here for food poisoning remedies and took some ACV. I can't believe just how fast it worked, three swigs from the bottle chased with some water and within minutes I was back to normal. I think catching it early was a big factor in how quick it worked.

Awoke this morning to find my husband throwing up and diarrhea. Realized right away it was food poisoning. Got online to find a remedy and found this site. Thanks so much. The ACV worked like a charm. He's a pretty big guy. I gave him 2 tbls in 4 oz distilled water. He would rather have it a bit stronger in a smaller amount of water so he can down it quickly. Then he chased it with another 4 oz distilled water. 10 minutes later he was sleeping like a baby. Got up about 2 hours later and actually went to work!

Thank you everyone! Apple Cider Vineagar is a miracle remedy. I had a salad and within an hour I was vomitting. I took the apple cider vinegar about ten minutes after the episode and I feel so much better, as if I can return back to normal life. This is amazing.

Hi everybody,

I've been sick since late saturday evening. Diarrhea, vomiting, dizziness, the whole shabang. Called my Dr. to see what we could do about the pain. I just had a baby less than 2mos ago, and kinda experienced some of these symptoms, needless to say I was EXTREMLY nervous. Anyway I just came across this site (tues), and was happy to see a home remedy to cure this. I rushed in the kitchen and started searching throught the cabnits, I knew I had some.

As im writing this post im feeling 85% better (only been 3 mins). I mixed 2 Tbsp of ACV with half a cup of juice to help the taste. Im so happy to have found this site 2.5 days is too long to be feeling like this. Im actually starting to feel 95% better. Gonna take some more ACV in a couple of hours.

Thanks a lot for everyones post, im so glad for the internet and reputable site.

ACV is amazing. I came home from work one day and ate a ham and turkey sandwich. About an hour later i started to get really sick. I had not had any type of food sickness before so I wasn't exactly sure what was going on with me. I developed a bad fever and was getty dizzy, not to mention the stomach cramps. I do not like throwing up so I tried to hold it off for as long as I could. It was coming whethere I liked it or not. I felt o.k. after the first throw up but still felt very weak and still had a fever. I went online to see about remedies for food sickness. This site was the first one to come up. I took 1 big gulp from ACV along with some orange juice( not sure if orange juice is the best to use). I still felt some of the pains from the illness, but i did not throw up one more time. I woke up this morning a totally different person. The stomach is a bit sore from the cramping but nothing i can complain about. The fever is gone also. Thanks to all the people who posted about their experiences, it helped out immensely.

Another confirmation of ACV for food poisoning. My mother rapidly started to come down with what seemed like food poisoning after eating some spoiled curry chicken. Since EarthClinic has been a reliable source of home cures, I checked it at once and then promptly gave her 2 tbsp. of ACV in a cup of store-bought juice. I also added the juice from half of a lime, since this helped me with stomach upset in the past. Within a few minutes of drinking it, she had stopped moaning in pain, and within 15 mins. was noticeably better. Now, half an hour later and she is practically back to normal.

I have had food poisoning a few times myself and know that it is terrible and often lasts for several gruelling hours. I am quite happy to spare my mom that experience.
Thank you EarthClinic and all the posters here!

Last night I started showing the signs of food poisoning (mild)- about 6 hours after eating I got cramps and nausea. I've had this happen before and it usually means I'm in for a long night of sitting in the bathroom where I can't quite throw up, even though I want to. Miserable.
I've come to this site before and found the apple cider vinegar cure for my sinus allergies (it works!), so I was happy to read that it can also help food poisoning. I drank 1 tbsp. ACV with a little bit of fruit punch (basic kind from Whole Foods). Then I just got in bed and waited it out. In about 5-10 I was feeling much better. Wow! I love it when something natural really does the trick. I also drank water before going to bed, to keep hydrated. Thanks everyone for the tip!

Food Poisioning: I had gone out to eat with friends of mine for breakfast and I had crisy bacon, along with grits eggs and toast. I thought the bacon kinda had a little different taste, but just presumed it being a different brand. Came home and about three hours later, stomach was cramping, felt nauseaus and felt as thought I was going to get sick.

Checked the net and came to this site. Had a half gallon of ACV for the purpose of cooking. Took the 2 Tablespoons in 1/4 cup water and within 30 minutes, felt fine. Jumped on it fast.

Thank you, as I am forever getting food poisoning on seafood at the beach. Now I will know what to do rather than be sick all night. Usually it is always seafood.

Have been telling everyone I come in contact with at the beach, as this is a good place to get it with seafood.

Apple Cider Vinegar stopped food poisoning episode:

I had just finished a dinner out of shrimp and mango curry, a dish I had eaten plenty of times in the past. fifteen minutes after finishing my meal. I had severe GI upset and I had intense abdominal pain. I had contacted my husband and instructed him to research food poisoning cures and ACV because I remember hearing about it. Sure enough, there was a lot of information claiming that ACV can cure food poisoning. Desperate, I had nothing to loose, I went down the street to a local health food store and took two tablespoons right there in the store within 10 minutes I started feeling better, I could breathe and the cramps had stopped. I can say that the ACV indeed stopped the attack.

Thank you! My son ate steak that I should have known better than to cook and woke up throwing up violently. After throwing up 5 times, I decided to check the interet. I found this website and I want to thank you so much. I gave my son 1 teaspoon of ACV and he had one small vomit 15 minutes later and then slept all night and seems fine now. There is nothing worse than having to see your child go through pain. I am grateful this site was available. Thanks again.

I have a really bad case of food poisening from tuna going on 1week. I tryed drinking the acv but it gave me diarria just when it had started to go away. I had really bad stomach ache and drinking the acv didn't help so I poured some of it directly on my stomach I used a towel not to get it on the bedding. Believe it or not that calmed my stomach down and took away my pain. So for those who can't drink the stuff just use it externally. It really works. Good luck.

I want to clarify that food posioning usually only lasts 12 hours from start to finish so if you are sick for a week you have an intestinal virus.

No it won't hurt her it stop throwing up, just make her feel better. The only time it's dangerous to stop vomiting is in cases where it's caused by alcohol or a chemical poisoning. However, with food poisoning due to a bacteria or virus, the infection has already been established and the immune system will just have to fight it off. Throwing up doesn't get rid of it, it's just a symptom due to irritation in the stomach. I hope your daughter is doing better!

About four months ago, my boyfriend and I used ACV to fight against a bug that had been going around. We had been looking at ACV as a possible addition to our diet because of all its reported benefits, so we had a bottle in the cabinet already and thought we might as well give it a try. My boyfriend got a sore throat first, so we both decided to' use ACV (diluted in hot water) to gargle and drinking a little bit (pure) for about three days straight. All of our friends went through weeks of a painful sore throat, coughing, and feeling terrible...but thanks to ACV, my boyfriend and I barely even felt sick for a day, and I have not had a cold since.

Also, one night I came home and I had a familiar feeling of feverishness, nauseousness and intestinal discomfort. I had felt the same way twice before when I had gotten the stomach flu, and I knew what was coming. I was shivering and miserable, but I felt like there was nothing that I could do to help myself and that I would just have to go through the hours and hours of sleeplessness, vomiting and exhaustion. My boyfriend went online and searched for a home cure for the stomach flu. ACV came up on Earthclinic, and I was willing to try it again because of how well it worked on my sore throat. I took two tablespoons directly. It wasn't hard at all, and I actually like the taste. Afterwards I experienced approximately 20 minutes of (very very mild) heartburn. About 10 minutes later, I started feeling better, and about 30-45 minutes later, I felt entirely fine. A little bit of the nauseousness returned the next night, but two more table spoons of ACV fixed that. A couple weeks later (I have bad luck) I got food poisoning from some korean food. Two tablespoons of ACV cured that too.

I'm convinced that ACV can cure a lot of things and really improve your health. I would drink it three times a day if I wasn't afraid of possible degenerative effects it might have on my teeth enamel.

After a long night and a trip to a fast food restaurant, I woke up at around 3am vomiting every half hour or so. I have had food poisoning in the past and have always thought I had to let it run it's course. What a miserable feeling! My boyfriend and I were in town visiting his mother, so that morning we went to her house were I continued to be ill and quite miserable. His mom saw that I was in a lot of pain and wanted to find a remedy for me. Shortly after searching the internet, she and my boyfriend went to the local grocery store and purchased the store brand acv for me. Within minutes after taking the 2 tbsp. I went from feeling horrible and sick to my stomach to feeling like a new person and full of energy. I was ill once more after taking the acv, but I had felt it coming on before I took it, and after that I was done vomiting and revitalized. To this day I tell everyone about this great cure whether or not they have food poisoning. I want to spread the word and make sure no one goes through that terrible experience unecessarily. Thank you for posting this helpful information.

I had explosive diarrhoea for a period of 4 weeks travelling in China from Beijing to Xian. No chemicals did anything but treat the symptoms. Upon returning home and taking an anti-biotic the diarrhoe went from explosive to less explosive. Test came back a "virus". I was getting really down by this and starting trawling th intenet. I came upon this site and through I'd try the cider vinegar - what did I have to lose. After my first dose I felt a difference right away. My stomach felt "different". I continued with the cider vinegar and 3 months later, I am completely cured. It didn't happen overnight for me as I had 4 weeks in China to recover from. But I am so grateful for finding this site. I'm also thankful for all the comments that persuaded me to give it a try. Thanks to all those who posted comments as you certainly gave me the confidence to give it a go - your comments cured me!
