HIFU, as it is called, is in clinical trials in the USA, but your urologist won't tell you about it, ours tried to discourage us, by telling us it wasn't approved by the FDA, but after much searching and studing--we knew it was the right decision! No cutting!
HIFU has been used in Europe for 16 years with a 94% cure rate. It would be 100% except if the cancer has spread outside the gland too far, then it cannot get it all, neither can surgery though, chemo is the choice then, but HIFU can be done first.
There are two HIFU machines, the Albatherm only has one size setting, so if your gland is larger than the setting it also may not get all the cancer. But the Sonablade500 can be adjusted to accomodate all sizes and if the gland moves during the procedure then so can the ultrasound beams. The Sonablade500 is made in the USA, while the Albatherm is made in Europe.
Because HIFU hasn't finished clinical trials in the USA it isn't FDA approved, so you must go outside the US to have it done. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We met Dr. S. Scionti ( www.internationalhifu.com ) and his team of nurses, anathiesologist and mechanics for the machine the night prior to the treatment at Xavier Hospital, which was spotlessly clean. The treatment took 2 hours, then we waited for husband to come out of his sleep, and we went back to the hotel, we had dinner out, and life was good! A supra-pubic catheter is installed, it is needed as the doctor uses it to clean him out prior to treatment, then there are tiny particles of prostate that must leave the body and the catheter makes this easier, or they could clog up the urethra. The catheter was a bummer, stayed in 12 days, but I understand you get the catheter with surgery too. Radiation causes other cancers, like bladder and renal.

A friend said that in one visit tomography cured the tiny seed tumors that arose throughout his step-father's body some time after surgery.

Well I went to the doctor because the pain came back with a vengeance. I was diagnosed with prostatitis and had to take a regime of strong anti biotic for 28 days. The peroxide did work for a while but it didn't cure it.

Are you using a saline water? I read of using distilled water or reg. water with HP can cause physiological damage! You need to add salt to the water. To make your own saline solution, mix 1 tsp. of unprocessed salt(Himalayan salt, Celtic salt or Redmond's real salt) into a pint of distilled water. Then add your HP to whatever amt of saline water you use.

Increase Urinary Flow
I am now wondering why when the prostate got smaller, why he still could not urinate. So I am wondering if the bladder now has an issue because the catheter has been in for 2 yrs. Keep in mind that every month it gets replaced. Any suggestions?

I have a suggestion about his urine flow issue; that even though the prostrate had decreased in size, still slight flow. Maybe, just maybe, he has a low grade urinary tract infection. Easy to treat. Get some high pph colloidal silver and let him take a tablespoon on empty stomach every morning for a week. If the flow starts returning then it probably was a virus. By the way, that too would help with his prostate. And it could be that the return of enlarged prostate was due to the infection, if indeed that was his problem (the possible urinary viral tract infection I mean).

How to take:
Firstly you should choose an iodine preparation that is intended for internal use. "Lugol's Iodine" is NOT a brand, it is a type of preparation named after the French physician J.G.A. Lugol, and this one is safe for internal use. I don't recommend tincture of iodine as this one contains alcohol - but if you are stuck and in an emergency this will work.
Secondly, be mindful of strength. Most preparations have about 50mcg (this equals 0.05mg). The "mcg" means micrograms, and this is an extremely weak preparation. I need about 5mg (5 milligrams) before I find it to be medicinal for the prostate, that's 5000mcg, or 1000 drops of the extremely weak preparation.
Products that use the "Lugol's" preparation are typically 6.25mg per drop (5% Lugol's solution). That is more than 100 times stronger than the weak iodine supplements on the market.
To cure prostate issues, as stated previously, requires about 50-70 mg of iodine taken once a day. I take it in the middle of the night (or you could take it several hours after food so as not to upset digestion). In the morning I take a probiotic, preferrably one with more than 10 strains.
Expect other pleasant benefits from this - such as improved memory, concentration, and in my case my sense of smell is returning. The latter was caused by chronic rhinitis that I've had ever since I was a young child, and that's some 30 odd years ago!
Remember, Lugol's is not a brand, he is a physician who standardized this preparation.

Right now I'm taking about 10-12 drops of super saturated potassium iodide (SSKI) per day. That's about 500-600mg potassium iodide (KI), or about 375-450mg of iodine. I mix it in with my drink - orange mango flavour seems to mask the iodine fairly well.
BUT Lugol's Iodine is much stronger mg for mg and I don't actually like the effect it has on me: headaches, sores in my mouth, mouth/throat infections (because it kills off friendlier flora). That's why I use potassium iodide (KI).

1g KI per ml of SSKI
1 drop SSKI = about 50mg KI
1 drop SSKI = 37.5 Iodine (75% x KI)

Therefore the total Iodine plus Iodide is 1.0 + 1.5 = 2.5 mg and 2 drops is about 5.0 mg's of iodine/iodide (2.0 mg iodine, 3.0 mg iodide). "

Hi Lou, to answer your question: I personally would take about 20 drops to get 50mg of iodine/iodide (20mg iodine, 30mg iodide). Initially I would need to start smaller, with about 5 drops and work up.
If you get any of the issues I mentioned (due to its oxidating action) then take Vit C as an antioxidant.
I had started mixing my Vit C with my Lugol's to prevent issues and that worked like a charm. Doing this turns the iodine to iodide, but also makes it less potent. In the end I just switched to potassium iodide. Many people seem to have no issues with Lugol's, I guess I'm qute sensitive.

I am presently taking Lugol's iodine, 5% mixed with 50% DMSO + 25% Georges aloe vera + 25% distilled water + 5 drops of 5% iodine.
I then rub this solution on my skin vis a vis where my prostate is located. I am on my 3rd day.
My goal is to shrink my prostate and eliminate my chronic constipation, caused by an enlarged prostate.

A german company has on the market Magcell Microcirc and it has been through a study that proves its effectiveness. Granted it was a small study. Not sold in the US but it is sold in the UK, germany and a couple of other countries. You can google it.

Because if your thyroid is not healthy or have hashimottos disease it could affect you. The iodine can irritate the thyroid if you have hashimottos disease. Recently a friend mentioned to me that his urine flow had slowed down noticeably over the past 2 months and he asked me what might be causing it. I told him that because he is in his 70's it could be a couple of things possibly related to his prostate gland and I told him he should have his doctor check his prostate and explain the reduced urine flow rate at the same time. He told me he has that scheduled, but it is two months until that appointment. I told him that once we pass our mid 40's the prostate starts to enlarge and that this enlarging process can continue as we age. This is called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or BPH and is extremely common in men over 70. He asked if there was anything he could do while he waited for his prostate exam.
I suggested that he could try applying Melatonin Gel (MG) to the perineum area once in the morning and once at bedtime. This is the area between the scrotum and the anus. I made him a small bottle of melatonin gel and asked him to let me know if it helped improve his urine flow.
I talked with him yesterday and he told me that his urine flow is now back to normal and he no longer has to get up during the night to urinate. He said that since this started, he was having to urinate 2 to 3 times during the night, whereas before he almost never had to urinate during the night.
I thanked him for the feedback and told him to still keep his appointment for the prostate exam to determine what the problem is or was and to see what his doctor recommends. I don't know if this will work the same for someone with long standing BPH, but it is so simple, fast acting and easy to do, it seems worth consideration for a problem that affects many men as they age.
This brings the number of uses for melatonin gel or melatonin lotion to 49, up from the original 40 that I mentioned in the original post.
