oil pulling is overall a good remedy. Swish 1 Tablespoon sunflower, or sesame oil between the teeth for around 15 minutes every day. DO NOT SWALLOW. This pulls poisons from your mouth. If you find that you gag, then spit it out ( in the toilet ) and then try again the next day. You will eventually build yourselft up to it. It is important to brush your teeth thoroughly after you spit the oil out either with natural soap or toothpaste. I use soap because it helps rid the poison residue. Oil pulling also cures certain ailments from the body over time. My dental exams have been excellent since I've been doing this. I try to do it everyday for about 2 to 3 weeks to cleanse thoroughly.

I am very thankful for this site and the people who share their experiences on natural healing cures. I recently started oil pulling with seseme oil (toasted was what I could find at the grocery store) for the last three weeks. I wanted to get started right away! I am loving the results I am getting. My gums are healing, looking more pink, my teeth have begun to whiten up(they were yellow), my breath doesn't smell any more.

What I would like to know has anyone experienced waking up in the morning with a mouth full of thick mucus that has a yellow tinge to it. I also noticed the tarter buildup on my teeth wearing down? Is that possible with oil pulling? I'll take it!!! I would appreciate any helpful responses. Thanks

continuing with the oil-pulling may indeed reduce the bags under eyes. I have been pulling 3-5 times per week for about 9 months and one of the most noticeable benefits has been reduced under-eye puffiness. I mostly use coconut and olive oil and both seem to produce the same results. its such a bonus! I dont even use makeup to mask this area anymore : ))

Oil pulling soothes my mouth tremendously---I've been traumatized by dental crowns and oil pulling was recommended by my dentist. I use organic extra virgin olive oil and have just held it in my mouth for 20 minutes. It felt so soothing to gums, teeth and jaw bone.

I repeated with another 20 minute session right afterward my first oil pull last night. Today an area on my gum at the site of a 2 crown procedure placed 3 weeks ago made a huge leap toward healed. Roots from a more recent crown has been calm most of the day--not a small feat since that root bothers me frequently.

Regarding getting rid of the oil after I use it.... I also do not want to cause septic problems. I spit the oil into a paper napkin and put it in the trash. Spitting it into a bag of trash that already has lots of tissues also works well--so there's no oily mess in the trash can.

I don't have the exact answer to your question of why it is recommended to wait after eating or drinking before you oil pull, but one possible theory is if you pull with a full stomach, the oil will have double duty. It will be pulling toxins from the food in your stomach as well as other parts of your system. I enjoy oil pulling and I can tell the difference in my congestion problems immediately afterwards.

I was suffering from severe burnout. My health was failing. For the past 3 months, I had shooting pains all over my body, I had dizzy spells, pains in my lower back and lower right abdomen. I started oil pulling and the symptoms started to fade the first day I did the oil pulling routine. Within 4 days ALL of the symptoms vanished!!! It seems like miracle!!! This experience has caused a profound paradigm shift in my consciousness and has caused me to reevaluate many of my beliefs about health care and healing. I am thankful there is an internet where one can obtain vital information like this.

Ran into the phrase oil pulling while looking up natural ways to treat bursitis and arthritis. I was having severe pain in my right shoulder and arm, would hurt like crazy all day and get so much worse at night, I was about ready to go see about getting a shot for it. I knew that was not a great thing either, so went to the internet to see what else there was. Decided to give the oil a try. For the first time in months I am almost pain free, and this after only a few weeks of doing the oil pulling. I will never not do this again!! Am glad I ran into this sight, and I would recommend that everyone at least give this a good try and see what good things might come about. I use coconut oil, am going to try switching back and forth. Happy pulling! Laurie B

I have been oil pulling for 6 months now. I have experienced quite a few things. Firstly, the rash on the skin but it went away after awhile ( a few weeks). Perhaps it is removing toxins through the skin also. I have bridge work and was getting a gap between the gum and bridge. After a week, the gap closed, the dark discoloration disappeared and any plaque on my teeth is long gone. I usually rinse my mouth with warm water afterwards. I haven't had a flu or any sickness since oil pulling. I use olive oil and have used sesame seed oil but I prefer the olive oil. My breath is fresh and clean. No morning breath smell. My jawline is more chiseled (had a bit of a double chin before).

My best advice is to keep oil pulling until any side effects leave and they will. I have old metal fillings and if anything, the area around the fillings is cleaner. I originally had a sore gum when I started and eating made it worse. After the first oil pull, the inflammation went away. Oil pulling is the best thing you can do for your body. I have my kids oil pull now and the dentist couldn't believe how clean and plaque free my kids teeth were.. I oil pull usually in the morning before breakfast and then rinse my mouth out with warm water or rinse it with ACV I have in a bottle of water. Somedays I oil pull for the full twenty minutes, some days 10 minutes and 10 minutes later in the day. I only do it once a day. I usually eat or drink after pulling, about 30 minutes later. If it hurts your jaw, pull relax, pull relax, or keep your head down to take the pressure off the jaw. This is Gods miracle cure along with Castor oil. I couldn't live without either. All the best to everyone trying it for the first time. Keep at it and you will soon enough realise how wonderful oil pulling is. God Bless you

Hi All.. I started oil pulling few weeks back. My tooth sensitivity lost, teeth started to feel whiter that usual pale color. But still some clean feeling was missing after sometime. So I used few grains of sea salt and swished oil and lo the mouth felt very cleaner. I have also started urine therapy from yesterday. Other noticeable things are my toe under surface was cracked and within one or two days it was healed and smooth, hair become shinier, now no need to use conditioner after shampooing, skin has become beautiful, earlier there were so many open pores but now they are not. I have sub mandibular tumor in my right side so want to see what this therapy works here. Also taking Vitamin D3 supplements for depression and flax seed oil capsules since I'm vegetarian and can not take fish oil. I have also taken epsom salt bath once to detoxify and have also started taking cold showers..

This is my 4th day of oil pulling 2x a day. After the 3rd day my bad breath was gone. Ive been suffering with this for 2 years despite flossing, brushing and using mouthwash regularly. I had hemorrhoids and the itch and yellow discharge is almost completely gone. I felt the clearing of sinuses and I've noticed a distinct diminishing of the taste for cigarettes. If this were all there was to gain it would be fine. But I'm looking forward to seeing benefits from oil pulling in my neck and low back spine injury as well... Yea!

Hi. This is my third week of oil pulling, and the oddest thing has happened. I've had ingrown hairs for years. Suddenly when I woke up this morning, those ingrown hairs were no longer hidden beneath my skin. I pulled them with no problem. What in the world does oil pulling have to do with ingrown hairs?

By the way, other results so fair: the whites of my eyes are particularly white. They're usually off-white, even yellow; mucous drains at the back of my throat when I pull (this just began happening a few days ago); my skin is suddenly baby-soft; and facial pockmarks are lightening up.

Oil pulling has become a very peaceful exercise for me. Love it! Thankfuk for the knowledge!

Oil Pulling And ACV. Stumbled upon your site searching for skin care products... Anyway spent a few days reading the feedback and decided to try ACV and Oil pulling. Only three days into it but my teeth are whiter from the oil pulling and I have noticed a significant loss of appetite for the ACV. Very interesting, I thought it was all BS lol.

I was searching on the web for more information about castor oil after reading Kaycee's book on The Oil That Heals when i came across oil pulling. i also wondered how oil pulling that would work. Anyway i decided to give it a try, because I was having problems with gum disease and other problems, I started oil pulling about two weeks ago, and i am truly seeing some changes in my mouth, first of all my breath is so fresh, my teeth has gotton three or so shades whiter.

When I was younger I was able to bite a piece of thread because my teeth was in great shape, but i got to the place that they began to shake, and i could'nt grit the top and bottom togather, My dentist wanted to extract some of them, i would bite the inside of my jaws and lips when i eat. But now my teeth is getting closer together so much that i am able to bite a thread and chew well without biting my lip and corner of my jaws. Oil Pulling is the bomb. I am going to continue this for the rest of my life. there are othe benifits I have notice and i am glad to find out about this site.

As I sit reading this information from the Earthclinic I'm oil pulling! I first started it back in February 09 for a 3 months stint, just pulling oil very first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything. Apparently this is because the mouth becomes extremely toxicated during the night and the oil is eradicating those toxins. I must say it sounds a gross thing to do but actually love the clean feeling my mouth has afterwards, my first cup of tea tastes better and my teeth have become whiter. I'm doing it to see if it will help reduce my fibroids but I won't find that out until my next scan. Thank you to my friend for passing on this web link this morning because now I can see other natural therapies that could help - yeeha!
