[YEA] 03/02/2009: Candi from Knoxville, TN writes: "Hello Everyone * If you have a nasty plantar wart(s), PLEASE READ THIS! I'm 31 years old and I have had these nasty plantar warts on the bottom of my big toe for 2-3 years. It's the size of a quarter(in clusters) on my big toe and it has spread to my other toe's and on several other smaller spots on the bottom of my foot. They spread, because I would exfoliate my heels and also would try and "sand" down the wart.(PLEASE DON'T DO THIS) warts are very contagious. It would also swell up when it was wet. YUCK! I have tried everything possible to get rid of this nasty thing. OTC wart removers, Peroxide, Duct Tape, Alcohol and then I was watching an episode of "The Doctors" a lady had called in and said she had used clear "topcoat" finger nail polish on her sons wart and it was gone in a few days. So, I said what the heck.... I will try that too! I applied the nail polish every night after my shower. Every 3 days I would peel the layers of polish off the wart. Each time I would peel the built up polish off, you could see small layers of the wart coming off. I cont. to do this for a few weeks. I was not going to stop. Then as I notice each week how it was getting smaller, smaller and smaller. WOW I am so amazed and just estatic about this, IT"S COMPLETELY GONE!!! NO scarring, no markings, nothing....just normal clean toe! So Amazing, I just had to share this with others!"

[YEA] 10/05/2007: Pearly from Singapore writes: "I noticed this wasn't mentioned. I use to have 2 warts near the base of my right thumb. They didn't hurt or irritate, but I hated that everone used to either cringe at them or ask me if the warts were painful when they saw the warts. The wart remover plasters never worked. I read from somewhere that nail polish can help to remover warts, so I gave that a try. I applied clear nail polish to the warts, repplying every so often to ensure that there was always a coating over the warts. The nail polish is a lot less noticable than a wart remover plaster is! I can't remember how long it took (probably just a month or so), but one day as I prepared to reapply the nail polish, I noticed that the warts were GONE. Not a single trace of them was left, and there was absolutely no scaring. The skin looked perfectly normal! I was so happy! It's been 3 years since then, and the warts have not come back."

OIL OF OREGANO

[YEA] 03/16/2008: Jackie from Fair Oaks, CA writes: "I have had a large plantar wart on the base of my foot for several years. Had tried over the counter remedies, went to a foot doctor and nothing seemed to work. I then started using Oreganol P73 (mixture of oil of oregano & extra virgin olive oil) 3 drops onto a band-aid then placing on top of the wart. I did this every day, and after 2-3 weeks the wart dissapeared! Amazing stuff, as the wart I had was very large and I thought I would never get rid of it."

OLIVE LEAF OIL
05/11/2011: Addy from Flowery Branch, Ga writes: "I am going tomorrow to a dermatologist to see about having a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot removed. I've had this thing for a really long time and enough is enough.. So I'm biting the bullet. My friend's father is a herbal doctor and he suggested since I've had it as long as I have, go ahead and get it removed but to follow up with taking a 2 a day regimen of olive leaf oil for 3 months to address the virus in my system.
Does anyone have experience with taking olive leaf oil?"
Replies05/12/2011: Marlane from Geelong, Victoria, Australia replies: "Hi Andy,Olive Leaf extract is absolutely awesome. I take it up to three times a day as it is totally non toxic. Rather than go into detail just google up olive leaf extract. It is especially good for infection.

ONIONS

[NAY] 02/13/2011: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France writes: "After reading a comment about this method to get rid of warts here I tried.... But it didn't work! Several times a day I would rub some onion on two warts, I did that for almost two weeks but I saw no changes. They are small so it wouldn't be difficult to get rid of them, I suppose, they are very flat but nothing seemed to happen so I stopped."

[YEA] 01/30/2011: Luckygirl from Calgary, Ab, Canada writes: "I used onion to treat my warts, they dissapeared and never got any warts again. It is fairly easy and if you do it properly, takes only a few days of treatment. I simply applied fresh onion juice on them. If you cut an onion slice and take a layer and break it in 2, there will be fresh juice juice coming out of there. Squeeze that right on the wart, make sure you soak it in Juice. You can also rub the wart with that side of the layer where you made the cut, where the fresh juice is. Just let it dry, no Bandage needed. Now your skin will smell so if you have to go to work, do it at night time. Ideally you should do it 2-3 times a day, but once a day will work too, it'll take a bit longer to fall off. Put the onion on the fridge and next time cut a new slice. The secret is to not just rub the onion on it, but make sure you soak the wart in juice or rub the juicy part on it. I only repeat this because I gave the advise to a friend and he was not doing it properly. When he started applying the juice, the warts on his hand and foot were gone in a few days, after trying lots of remedies with no results. This treatment leaves no scar and there is no pain. I hope this helps."

[YEA] 02/24/2010: Carol from Sea Cliff, New York writes: "I have been fighting nail fungus for about 25 years. I have tried all of the prescription meds. Penlac, which is very expensive, is the only one that sometimes works. The others did not work at all and can cause problems with the liver. I cannot wait to try the ACV treatment.
Regarding warts. My daughter had a couple when she was very young. We went to a couple of dermatologists who used the usual treatments that hurt her and did not work. I looked for a natural remedy on-line. I found an onion remedy that works everytime.
Take a small bit of onion (about the size of the wart)
crush it and place it on the wart
use tape or a bandaid to keep it on for about 24 hrs.
when you take it off, you will see that the onion actually eats through the wart and burns it off.
NOTE: only put enough onion on to cover wart or your healthy skin can get hurt.
Good luck to all
You will get a scab and when it heals the wart should be gone."

ORANGE PEEL IN WHITE VINEGAR

[YEA] 08/27/2008: Nicola from Agassiz, Canada writes: "We tried the banana peel remedy for removing Warts for almost 2 months, but with no effect. Our doctor suggested soaking Orange peel in white vinegar for 1 week (in a sealed jar) and then applying the peel (white side down on the wart) with a bandaid at night (and removing in the morning). We did this for about a week and got dramatic results, within two weeks all the warts (that had been there for months) were gone. We tried everything from freezing, duct tape, banana peel etc. This was the only thing that worked."

PETTY SPURGE (EUPHORBIA PEPLUS)

[YEA] 12/16/2010: Leanne from Adelaide, Suoth Australia writes: "My daughter had a number of large warts on her hands which she contracted about 5 years ago. Multiple visits to a doctor for burning, cutting, freezing didn't work. Neither did any of the over the counter remedies. We tried the ACV, the duct tape etc from here. When she used the ACV recommended here, her arm ached unbearably after a day or so of use.
Anyway, I did a little herbal research of my own. Now it's hard to convince a young woman (which she is) that the use of a weed from the garden will eradicate warts, when we had used so many rememdies and medical procedures that had failed. Anyway, the weed from the garden is called Petty spurge (or botanical name Euphorbia Peplus) It is quite widespread here in southern Australia in gardens. It likes damp cool conditions. It is a low growing weed. It is also called Radium weed and can be used similarly for little skin cancers and sun spots. Anyway, when you break the stem of the plant it oozes out a white milky sap, which contains a number of alkaloids.
BIG Warning do not use this plant near your eyes.... It can cause blindness. Likewise do not eat it... Otherwise you'll find out why it's called SSSS... Purge! Anyway rub the sap on the warts and cover them with a bandaid-so you don't touch it and then rub it in your eyes. Do this for a few days and you will see results in a short time. Try not to get it on the good skin around the warts if you can. If the good skin becomes red or sore, discontinue for a few days until the skin heals up again.
For my daughter, it took a couple of weeks to (finally!! ) remove the big warts. We are still doing mop up operations on a couple of little ones which we had ignored while doing the bigger ones, but they too are responding to the weed! There are pictures of the weed on the net, so that you can make sure you find the right one. You can also use a herb (weed in some places) called Greater Celandine, which also has a sap that can be put on the warts. Anyway, good luck to all."

[YEA] 10/18/2006: Colin from Mississauga, Ontario Canada writes: "I had a wart on my end of my thumb and the root was under my thumnail. I had tried the store remedies but they did not work. I decided to use Pickling Vinegar as apposed to Apple Cider. The reason was that Pickling Vinegar has a higher percentage of Acetic Acid @ 7%. Apple Cider and regular vinegar has only 5%. I placed the vinegar on a small cotton swab, placed it on the wart, then wrapped a few pieces of duct tape over to seal it in and allow not air to get in. I die this ever 2 to 3 days The wart was gone in 10 days. WARNING: The sting and pain I endured from the acidity was very intense for the first 4 days."

My stepfather, a country barber had heard about this remedy from some farmers in his shop. No pain whatsoever!"

I wrapped the potatoe in cellophane, and put it in the fridge, for the next use. I did this for a few weeks, then one day, to my surprise, I woke up, and ALL of my warts had disappeared. REMEDIES NEEDED
10/24/2011: Pain from Chicago, Il writes: "Does anyone have experience trying to use apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar) with a case of warts as massive as the following? I am scheduled for surgery in 14 days, but the warts are growing so fast right now that in 7 days they have gone from being an invisible cauliflower-like mass inside the anus to a cookie-sized mass jutting outside of the rectum, stuck between the butt checks visibly and threatening to keep growing beyond the confines of the cheeks next. My surgeon and doctor have refused to shrink the mass in between my colonoscopy (which fortunately showed no cancer inside anywhere) and the surgery in two weeks, and said it's too large for topical medicines, etc. I was only diagnosed in August, immediately scheduled the earliest possible laser treatment, and have been unable to get laser treatments more frequently than two weeks apart, which has proved to be enough time for the wart mass to regain all of the size it lost from Laser treatment 14 days prior. That's why they recommended the surgery (which from what I read online could have an INTENSELY painful "recovery" period afterwards and that the warts will likely return, though treatments thereafter may be easier as they'll be smaller. I am petrified of this period if I can't get maintenance/treatments more frequently than two weeks or more apart while they speed-expand (assuming that continues post-surgery. ).
I tried the vinegar last night just with the hope of keeping them from becoming a tail outside my butt. So far it's not clear to me anything has happened but it's very hard to see back there. Looks like the tip may be a little white, and I'm not even sure the mass hasn't grown again since last night. Hard to say. My doctor has recently seen cases even worse than mine--the day before laddering mine she had treated someone with a mass that extended all the way to the testacles, and she was unshackled and unperturbed by the size when she first saw me in August. (She works in a clinic that sees a lot of rectal and hpv-related conditions, though the focus is on HIV there and I am negative for HIV, am otherwise very healthy, got the warts from a long term monogamous partner, who I'm no longer with, for three years. ) Should I keep up with the burn of the vinegar or follow my doctors advice and let it become a painful bloody life threatening tail before a surgery that could produce months of even greater pain at least while passing bm? Who has treated internal masses this way? Anyone?"
Replies10/24/2011: Traveler from Dallas, Tx replies: "The only thing I can think of is doing mega dosing with lysine and aspirin (do your own research to make sure this is a safe choice for it. ) You take 1gram of lysine an hour for five consecutive hours, and also take 1 gram of aspirin along with the lysine each of those hours to help it diffuse in the blood. This is typically for viral infections making you ill, however since HPV is a virus, I would say try this, and each day after that, take 1 gram of lysine, say 3-5 times a day. I would also suggest eating as much lightly cooked garlic as you can stomach, and as there's so much blockage and it's likely making it very hard to poop, I say take 3 tablespoons of BlackStrap Molasses twice a day, in water or whatever way you can stomach it. This helps the fecal matter slide out without actually causing diarrhea."
10/24/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Pain from chicago have you tried banana peels? There is a lot of info on this site of people killing warts with banana peels. Someone even scraped inside of the peel and put that on the area with a bandage over it & it killed it in around 7 days. You could scrape the inside of the peel and insert it on the outside (and keep it there with a bandage of some sort, put some inside the area involved to see whether that helps. The banana peel even kills the roots. Also iodine is anti viral and has also killed warts as well. Lugols iodine would be better both taking it internally and applying to the areas affected. You could use both iodine and the banana peel remedy?
Fresh urine is also good to kill warts. Soak onto a bandage and leave on the area 10-20 mins 2-3 times a day."

01/26/2010: Glight from Hattiesburg, Ms, Usa writes: "Can someone please help me find a name and cure for 'flat warts'! I have them on the top of my feet and around my ankles, on my fore arms and my inner thighs mainly. They are flat and scratch off (esp. after a bath) and blend in with my skin but do look like dry spots if I dont keep my skin moist with oils or lotion. The ones on my feet and legs look almost like a spreading fungus with some clusters and some individual. I have been told it is related to Candida; that it is Viral; too much sugar... I just want to know what to do as they are only getting worse. Thanks!"
Replies01/30/2010: Sky from Harrisburg, Pa, Usa replies: "My two younger boys had planter warts that they got while doing martial arts. I took the youngest one to the doctor who sent me to another doctor and he recommended cutting them out, which I agreed to do, but oh did it look painful. It left a huge hole in his foot. A year or so later the older one complained of his feet always hurting and when I looked at his feet saw huge clusters of planter warts. By this time someone had told me about their great success with olive leaf extract. I bought some and had him take 2 capsules 3 times a day. All the warts were gone in less than a month.I think he told me warts are viral and need to be fought from the inside out. Wonder if anyone heard about this before ,but it worked for us."

[YEA] 07/12/2008: Nadia Jovanovic from Chicago, Illinois writes: "Hello, I swear my life on this treatment. As a teenager i had only one wart . Really annoying i thought but was able to live with it. Couple of years later though the warts started spreading. You can imagine how embarrassing it was since they became quite visible.
My grandmas sister told me to put salicylic acid and to tomato on the warts and wrap them up. I did that twice a day putting generous amounts of acid on each wart and a peace of tomato. A week latter imagine my surprise THEY WERE GONE!!!!Have not had them since and I can tell you I had tried everything including burning with the really painful liquid nitrogen. It is a bit of a challenge to buy salicylic acid but you can definitely find it online if not in you local pharmacy. Good luck!!!"

[YEA] 11/27/2007: Patti from Canton, Ohio writes: "Remedy to kill plantar wart on foot. Ten years ago my son had a large plantar wart on the bottom of his foot so I decided to play Dr. and see what happened. The remedy I used is to soak the foot in very warm water (for about 15 minutes) right before bed, dry the foot completely, scrape top of wart gently with a knife, apply alcohol and let dry, apply any drugstore wart remover solution and let it dry, apply a bandaid, wrap in duct tape. Leave on until the following night and repeat nightly for six weeks. This remedy cured my sons plantar wart and it never came back! We were amazed. Consistancy is the key for success in using this remedy. This remedy can also be done immediately after the bath. Hope this remedy helps. "

[YEA] 05/05/2007: Moe from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA writes: "I removed a wart with Salicycle Acid found over-the-counter at any drug store. The problem is that the acid creates a callous over the wart so one must continually wear down the callous and wart using a callous file or pumous stone before each acid application 3 or 4 times per day. Use the stone or file wet before each acid application. Eventaully, one will arrive at the root of the wart but continue the applications for another few days until there is no sign of the wart and there is no pain when you apply pressure to the area. It took me about 1 week to become wart free."

SALT
11/21/2011: Sherryt123 from Rome, Ny writes: "I tried everything to try and get rid of plantar warts. I started out with 2 right next to each other on my right foot. They gradually spread and I had about 9 of them in different areas on my foot. They were very painful and annoying. I tried apple cider vinegar, duct tape, all of the home remedies, nothing worked. Then, while on vacation to the seashore I noticed that after wading in the ocean that my foot hardly hurt at all and the warts had shrunk down. I thought about this for a few days and after getting home I deduced that it must be the salt in the sea water that was affecting the warts. After I took a shower and turned off the water I took some regular old iodized table salt and sprinkled a generous amount in the just damp tub. I then rubbed my foot all in the salt, grinding it as much as possible. After a few minutes of this I rinsed off the salt.
After a day or two of doing this I noticed that the warts were shrinking and didn't hurt. I kept this up, just once a day with my morning shower and am happy to say that ALL of the warts are gone!!!! It took a few weeks for the pits where the warts were to heal over but they are completely gone now. I do the salt treatment a few times a week just to make sure they stay away. Simple, cheap and effective... Common table salt!! Try it, I swear it works!!!"
Replies11/21/2011: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Hi, I saw this suggestion in a book I have about salt. I have to say that I tried it on a little wart on my hand a couple of times but I never saw any difference. I tried rock salt, not refined, maybe that would have made a difference. In the meanwhile I went to the doctor who froze three I had on my leg and took out the one of my hand too. I hope they don't come back..."

[YEA] 05/24/2008: Siberianwolf from Omsk, Russia writes: "I did not know where to place this comment....I would like to tell you how I got rid of my warts after six years of suffering. I was in real despair. They were so unsightly all over my hands and I was frequently breaking down and crying and was so embarrassed to go shopping...yes. One day I went into our garden and picked up a garden snail and rubbed it over my warts then I went indoors to the bathroom and peed - yes you heard right!!- on them. I did this for three or four days several times a day and noticed a very dramatic effect. After 10 days or so they were completely gone with absolutely no scarring and never to return. How's that??!! And all at no cost and the snail did not have to die!"
Replies05/25/2008: Sally from Birmingham, England replies: "I am not sure the snail had anything to do with curing your warts. It could be just the urine therapy on its own. I would not pick up a snail either, as in some areas they can carry the heartworm virus. People drink their own urine for cures, so i can quite believe the urine cured them."
