[YEA]  03/06/2007: Amela from Southport, USA: "After reading a lot of articles about dealing with gallstones in the USA, I found out that a little is mentioned, or not at all, about laser surgery that has been for long time in practice in european countries for removing gallstones. Ask your doctor about it... Also, a very good remedy for lowering or getting rid of a bad cholesterol is a homemade apple vinegar. It tastes like an apple cider, just it's very sour. If you have a chance to come across a book of bosnian homemade remedies, get it! Also, dates are very good fruit for the women who cannot get pregnant."

[YEA]  05/10/2013: Jessica from Oceanside, Ca: "I have had some success. I had a large stone 2.1 cm in 2011 and the Dr said it was up to me if I wanted to get my gb removed. He said a large stone only puts pressure on the duct, but wont get stuck in it. I already knew I would opt for surgery anyway since the gb is very important! I called my naturopath up and she suggested I drink a very warm glass of water with the juice of a yellow lemon every morning on an empty stomach. This thins the bile. A few days later my pain was gone. I then did a liver flush with some herbs, cascara sagrada and beet root formula. Followed with olive oil and gIrapefruit juice. Didn't notice too much difference from that, but I'm sure it helped. I changed my diet to include plenty of fats (i eat eggs over easy, avocados, cheese, meat, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. ) and eliminated grains and most sugars. I supplemented daily with sunflower lethicin, magnesium, vitamins, and drank my lemon water every morning. In 2012 I had a second ultrasound done on my gallbladder and the stone was 40% dissolved. My doctor was in disbelief to say the least! He told me he had really doubted me in going a natural route but that he is happy I have done so well. I no longer have pain so I'm anxiously awaiting my upcoming scan this summer to see what's left!"

Lemon, Digestive Enzymes

[YEA]  05/17/2008: Cathy from Mason, WV: "Gallstone Issues: You can try the juice of 1 lemon in an 8oz.glass of water on an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink anything for 30 or so minutes and let this sit in your gallbladder. This will help dissolve stones. Do this for a year. Also take about 4 digestive enzymes with each meal. Eat pinnapple with meals or papaya which also have digestive enzymes in them and stay away from fat, sugar, and fried foods. It is hard to change your diet, but it will help tremendously. Eat bananas, and long cooking oatmeal. This helps. Some can't eat the oatmeal. Whatever works for you. Eat more vegatables, baked potatoes, greenbeans, tomatos, carrots, cucumbers, salad, fiber filled fruit, chicken and fish (nothing fried), but especially beets. Ginger is good for digestion. Avacados, coconut, garlic, grapes, plenty of water is good also. No beans, eggs, milk, pork, grapefruit or oranges, icecream, choclate, alcohol, cofffee. If you eat something and your stomach starts bubbling, you know that is something you can't eat.

Drink the lemon water religously and you will get relief. Keep drinking it for a year. There are meds doctors can give to dissolve stones, they don't tell you that. The lemon water will do it.

Try this: take a small rock the size of a quarter, and as thick as you finger and place it in a small glass in the kitchen window and cover it with lemon juice or concentrate you can get in the plastic lemons in the veggie section of the grocer. Cover the rock every day for about 3 months and you will dissolve that rock....Drink lemon water on an empty stomach upon waking and eat or drink nothing for about 30 min. Do this for a year. Drink the same just before going to bed the first week to two weeks of your attack. You will find that a gallbladder attach lasts about 3 to 5 days, but the lemon juice will start to dissolve the stones and the sludge. Take red yeast rice to get your cholesterol down which is the culprit here. Lemon water, red yeast rice and a change in your diet ot remove fat and you will see impovement in the next 3 weeks or so. Include exercise by even just walking, to lower your bad cholesterol also. You can live to eat or eat to live. Your choice. Hope this helps someone."

[YEA]  02/04/2008: Mike from Baltimore, Maryland: "Ted has a lot of good insights and makes for a very interesting read, but he forgot one important thing regarding Lecithin.

Dandelion root contains more Lecithin than even soy products and also acts as a mild diuretic, but unlike other diuretics, it does not deplete the body of potassium due to the high amount of it found in the plant. Dandelion also contains loads of trace elements and should go a long way in dissolving gallstones as well as improving and increasing bile flow through the gallbladder.

Milk Thistle is also very good for this although to my knowledge, does not contain Lecithin. It reduces cholesterol in bile as well as other beneficial effects on liver/gallbladder health though.

About all this "flush" business that is so obviously fake that it bears mentioning. To say that there are over 2000 stones in your liver and gallbladder is ridiculous considering the size of these organs and appears even more ridiculous when people say this continues to happen over years of doing these flushes. What people should be doing is changing their diets and taking supplements to deal with these things. It's amazing to me that everyone that does this flush seems to report hundreds and thousands of "stones" even though an ultrasound may only show one or two small ones. Whether these flushes actually work or not is debateable since people seem to want to exaggerate the effectiveness. If they worked, there would be nothing to exaggerate and if they really do work, it's a tragedy that those pushing it on other people have to make things up to make it look better than it is when there is no need. It can't possibly be good for someone long term to continue to do this to their bodies.

To anyone wanting to dissolve and/or prevent gallstones, cut back a little on the fatty stuff you eat and do some research on supplements. Dandelion Root, Magnesium, Milk Thistle and even a daily multivitamin is a good place to start. Make a habit of having a glass or two of apple juice a day as the Pectin in apples and apple juice will soften the stones, exercise a little and watch what you eat to a point. If you really want to change, you can do it. If you're looking for an easy way out where you can have your cake and eat it too, you'll fail everytime. Supplements alone won't fix this problem and neither will 100 flushes. You have to make lifestyle changes as well and you have to stick with them.

However, things like constantly checking your pH and constantly monitoring pH of water you drink and all this stuff seems to be a pretty paranoid and stressful kind of life, constantly worrying and all. I don't think I'd ever go that far and eating enough fruits and vegetables should keep you balanced just fine."

04/19/2009: JLlerenas from Ventura, CA, USA replies: "Have you considered that the stones passed are from more than just the Gall bladder? So it's really not that preposterous, just not well understood. This is not a claim of veracity either or of proof that they are stones. Thanks for your post, it supplement's Ted's post well."
04/22/2009: EJ from Middleboro, MA replies: "It may not be as easy as changing your diet to correct a gallbladder issue. At least that's what I'm finding. I've had two ct scans in the last five years to look for gallstones that don't exist to explain my intermittent pain. About a month ago I switched from a good diet consisting of mainly vegetables and chicken or fish (little grain and dairy, nothing fried ever)to a diet of fruit and vegetables only (including fat from olive oil, avocados and almonds). My gallbladder rebelled like never before. Apples, apple juice, ACV, beet root, dandelion tea, healthy liver tincture - none of them helped the pain - castor oil packs did help temporarily. After 3 weeks, I finally added some cheese back to my diet and the pain subsided. Except for the gallbladder pain, I felt great eating only fruit and veg (ala Dr. Robert Morse). So if anyone knows what will fix this gallbladder permanently, I'd love to know."

BETTER BUT NOT CURED

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  05/07/2013: Gbgirl from Tabernash, Co: "Most of the large visible "stones" from these olive oil flushes have been proven to be saponified fat from ingesting all that olive oil; it's likely smaller, actual gall stones could be flushed out too, but my N.D. warned me these flushes could be very dangerous for people with stones experiencing attacks as they trigger the spasming of the GB and could cause stones to release and become stuck. She advised me to eat an 80% pesco-vegan diet, and take peppermint, vit. C, fish oil, and lecithin capsules 3x daily to help prevent, soften, and dissolve stones. Also to reduce or cut alcohol intake, and drink LOTS of water to keep bile flow moving. So far I have been attack-free for 3 months, only some twinges now and then when I am stressed, dehydrated, or not eating well."

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  12/28/2012: Carole from Bury Village, West Sussex, England: "Hi again.... After much research including the helpful information given on this site.... I am at least forming a plan to try and dissolve my large 2.8cms calcified gallstone. It would seem to me to be best to follow the protocol in Adreas Moritz book.... At least I am happy with the supplements etc he suggests!

If anybody has time... I would appreciate looking at what I am doing and see if there is anything else to add/do. Currently I am thinking of staying on this dissolving protocol until May (one year from when I had the initial diagnosis). If no joy after that period then surgery. I know of several people who have had surgery and they are fine. And I do not think I am wise to continue keeping my body under stress because of a gallstone! ?! Yesterday was a 'bad' day and I have no idea why....

Background....I am diagnosed with an enlarged multi-noduled goitre with isolated T3 toxicosis. In March is flipped hyper and Bugleweed helped but not enough and I was advised to start anti-thyroid meds... Which had a bad affect on my liver.... And after much mis-diagnosis I was found to have the large calcified gallstone. Surgery was not recommended by my Endo because of the thyroid problems. Long story - short..... Thyroid now ok and many of the problems because of the hyper status are o.k. Again.... PH levels all over the place and blood sugar levels.... Candida, anxiety, panic attacks, massive weight loss, muscle wastage!

So...doing all sorts of things to get healthy again and would so love to keep the gallbladder. Yes, I am still having anxiety issues and one being a gallbladder flush! I love Epsom Salts and bathe in them which helps any gb soreness. I am also having acupuncture and my Chinese doctor now says he will prescribe 'some herbs' for the gallstone... In the new year. I see him next week.... taking more research material from online.

Comments on advice (from different sources)...

I am unable to find Tamarind fruit... But can easily get the paste and see that there are many health benefits for the gb in particular. Would this paste form be useful?

Juvaflex/Endoflex - again I can see the benefits... Difficult to get in the U. K. And expensive! However, I have enquired from the U. K. stockist and hope to hear from them in the New Year.

Apple Juice I love and yet am avoiding at the moment whilst I continue to treat Candida.

Carrot Juice.... again I love carrots but avoid this goitrogenic food raw.

I love lemon juice, grapefruit juice. I also drink Dandelion coffee (increase bile flow) and take Lecisun granules (help break up fats). I eat lots of beetroot - raw/cooked/juice (again helps with bile flow.

I am on a low-fat diet, no red meats, very little dairy, no gluten, very little yeast.

I have just finished one bottle of Keela Nelli (stonebreaker) herbal capsules. I seemed to be able to tolerate it well - although gave me very smelly flatulence!

I drink Gold Coin Grass tea and have just started to also take it in tincture form.

I am waiting for Chanca Piedra tincture just ordered.

I can get a bity confused about what to take on an empty stomach etc. At the moment I start the day with some oil pulling which I have been doing for some time now. A tablespoon of undiluted lemon juice/grated rind. Then a large mug of fresh lemon tea. Fruit and veggie smoothie. I drink lots of filtered water throughout the day. Drink the Danelion coffee three times a day before meals. Take enteric peppermint oil capsules three times a day after meals. Drink Gold coin grass tea throughout the day. The tincture I thought just before a main meal?

Am I going to win.... dissolve the stone enough to flush?

If anybody knows of anybody/clinic/colonic irrigation specialist in England (West Sussex) who offers help re gb cleansing - can they let me know. I still feel I need somebody to hold my hand through this. Heaven only know why I feel I need the courage.... just the fall-out from a body out of control and the fear of it all perhaps - during the past nine months.

Thank you. Carole"

12/29/2012: Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa replies: "Carole: You simply must see some notable improvement from your extensive protocol/treatment. With every measurable improvement, let that be a confidence booster. Your Acupuncturist will also be a hand to hold on to, as well as the E.C. members.

I can see only one item on your list that I would advise to drop; that is grapefruit, as it will cause a sluggish liver by inhibiting liver p-450 detox enzymes."

[YEA]  09/30/2009: Tanya from Hailey, Id: "I suffered unusual pain in my upper right abdomen and just thought about it for 36 hours wondering what it could be. Remembering my mom's problems with her gallbladder, I thought I'd try her sworn remedy. I purchased some ground mustard and opened it in the car to take some - about 1/4 teaspoon using the foil top as a spoon.. Got home, drank a ton of water! Craving my homemade white bean, tomato, corn soup and wanting more of the mustard in a palatable form, I dumped 1 tsp in each of 2 good bowls of the soup. I also bought a bunch of organic cherry tomatoes I was craving. I ate it wondering if I ate too much.. Then took a hot bath, dressed up really warm, sweating everywhere, put a magnet on my side, went to bed and woke up pain-free. Completely. I am surprised I had this issue because I try hard to listen to my body but I read that my diet may have contributed to it - and severe stress. "Thank you mom!" (June 1923- October 2008)"

[YEA]  07/01/2012: Kk from Seattle, WA: "Have to post this! I am doing liver flush by H. Clark. I could not follow exactly how she recommended it like lye doing right after taking olive oil/lemon juice. I was up for about 4 hrs afterward because had a lot to do. This liver pain I had for months is something that worries me a lot, it is mild but annoying (have to say my USS liver was negative for stones or anything abnormal). I learned about liver flush and decided to proceed after antiparasitic treatment. This am I had bright green irregular shape forms come out, hard to touch, but smashable with gloved fingers. They were wax like texture. Green hard wax! They would not desolve in water, if to press them against sink surface they would stick to it and not get flushed with water. Such odd and ugly stuff! Looks like they were about to form into stones.

I have to follow instructions next time and get more of this out. Highly recommended!

thanks to this website, I would never get to this on my own"

[YEA]  06/27/2008: Elisha from Manila, Philippines: "I was diagnosed with "Focal Caliectasia" in my right kidney via ultra sound 4 years ago. Per doctor's recommendation, I need to undergo further IV xray which I did not follow because of fear. I just leave it as is.

After reading EarthClinic several times, I decided to take 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of lemon juice and followed by 500 ml of water for the kidney cleanse regimen two weeks ago. I'm not aware if anything came out when I urinate but one thing for sure when I have my bowel movement I saw something floated. I took the same regimen last night and again something floated. This time, I used chopstick to pick them one by one and I was surprised to see green gallstones.

I did not take any apple juice nor epson salt. I took my normal breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast - Old Fashion Oats with walnuts and almonds, Soy Coffee and Strawberry Jam Sandwich
Lunch - 1/4 Roast Chicken (Remove the skin) with one cup of White Rice and kelp with tofu soup
Snacks - Cinnamon Sweet Potato Crisps and Tien Chi Flower Tea
Dinner - Steamed sliced Lapu-lapu (grouper fish in the Philippines) with 1/2 cup Brown Rice and stir fry mustard with ground ginger & few drops of sesame oil.

I guess it all depends on the condition of your body that's why these gallstone came out with 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of freshly squeeze lemon juice."

BETTER BUT NOT CURED

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  09/04/2010: Dan from Hollywood, Fl, U.S.A.: "I have been flushing my gallbladder on occasion for the last approximately 18 years simply using 10-12 ounces of olive oil taken a few ounces every 15 minutes followed by a sip of lemon juice.

I am a 52 year-old male, 6 ft. Tall, 150 pounds. I have been a Vegan for 27 years, eating a mostly raw food diet. Yet, I still get a gallbladder full of
Gallstones periodically (twice in the last 4 years.) I had always attributed this to occasionally eating foods cooked in oil or roasted nuts, as these indulgences would result in either a gallbladder attack or extreme discomfort. However, everything I have been reading says that these green wax-like stones are comprised mainly of cholesterol which my girlfriend informed me only comes from animal products. Therefore my experience tells me that the cholesterol theory may be incomplete. In my search to eliminate gallstone producing fats from my diet I stopped eating "raw" cashews because they are heated in the shelling process and so are actually not raw. Does anyone have any ideas on why non-cholesterol eating people get gallstones?"

Replies
02/07/2011: Kimberly from Minneapolis, Mn replies: "Hi Dan. Just to let you know, the cholesterol in your gall bladder and gallstones is produced in your own liver. It is not the cholesterol that we may or may not choose to ingest. "
01/14/2012: Jon from Salt Lake City, Utah replies: "I had my first Gallbladder Issue a year and a half ago, I thought it was the cholesterol so I went vegan. But even eating raw veggies and alternate protein sources I still had to do flushes often. I even got my biggest stone (larger than a quarter) when I was vegan. Soo.... I think it has to do more with healthy bile rather than low cholesterol levels. Lately I am trying raw goats milk, salmon, and a chinese herb gold coin grass. As well as yoga and meditation. I'll see what happens. Lol"

[YEA]  12/15/2008: Alice from Wiesbaden, Germany: "Olive Oil / Whole Milk

I just would like to share with you an ancient gallbladder remedy, that I have found in a little Mazdaznan book after a gallbladder attack last week. Take a tablespoon of olive oil every two and a half hours. In between take very hot milk slowly by tablespoon. According to Mazdaznan, this should dissolve gallstones. General information: during this time eat less than usual and drink plenty. I am not sure if it works, as I just started to try this remedy. Nevertheless after a really bad and painfull gallbladder attack, I tried this recipe the following day and the pain in my right shoulder subsided very quickly. I hope this will help somebody else too.

Best wishes from Germany :-))
