MILK THISTLE, DANDELION, MAGNESIUM

[YEA] 02/04/2008: Mike from Baltimore, Maryland writes: "Ted has a lot of good insights and makes for a very interesting read, but he forgot one important thing regarding Lecithin.
Dandelion root contains more Lecithin than even soy products and also acts as a mild diuretic, but unlike other diuretics, it does not deplete the body of potassium due to the high amount of it found in the plant. Dandelion also contains loads of trace elements and should go a long way in dissolving gallstones as well as improving and increasing bile flow through the gallbladder.
Milk Thistle is also very good for this although to my knowledge, does not contain Lecithin. It reduces cholesterol in bile as well as other beneficial effects on liver/gallbladder health though.
About all this "flush" business that is so obviously fake that it bears mentioning. To say that there are over 2000 stones in your liver and gallbladder is ridiculous considering the size of these organs and appears even more ridiculous when people say this continues to happen over years of doing these flushes. What people should be doing is changing their diets and taking supplements to deal with these things. It's amazing to me that everyone that does this flush seems to report hundreds and thousands of "stones" even though an ultrasound may only show one or two small ones. Whether these flushes actually work or not is debateable since people seem to want to exaggerate the effectiveness. If they worked, there would be nothing to exaggerate and if they really do work, it's a tragedy that those pushing it on other people have to make things up to make it look better than it is when there is no need. It can't possibly be good for someone long term to continue to do this to their bodies.
To anyone wanting to dissolve and/or prevent gallstones, cut back a little on the fatty stuff you eat and do some research on supplements. Dandelion Root, Magnesium, Milk Thistle and even a daily multivitamin is a good place to start. Make a habit of having a glass or two of apple juice a day as the Pectin in apples and apple juice will soften the stones, exercise a little and watch what you eat to a point. If you really want to change, you can do it. If you're looking for an easy way out where you can have your cake and eat it too, you'll fail everytime. Supplements alone won't fix this problem and neither will 100 flushes. You have to make lifestyle changes as well and you have to stick with them.
However, things like constantly checking your pH and constantly monitoring pH of water you drink and all this stuff seems to be a pretty paranoid and stressful kind of life, constantly worrying and all. I don't think I'd ever go that far and eating enough fruits and vegetables should keep you balanced just fine."
Replies04/19/2009: JLlerenas from Ventura, CA, USA replies: "Have you considered that the stones passed are from more than just the Gall bladder? So it's really not that preposterous, just not well understood. This is not a claim of veracity either or of proof that they are stones. Thanks for your post, it supplement's Ted's post well."
04/22/2009: EJ from Middleboro, MA replies: "It may not be as easy as changing your diet to correct a gallbladder issue. At least that's what I'm finding. I've had two ct scans in the last five years to look for gallstones that don't exist to explain my intermittent pain. About a month ago I switched from a good diet consisting of mainly vegetables and chicken or fish (little grain and dairy, nothing fried ever)to a diet of fruit and vegetables only (including fat from olive oil, avocados and almonds). My gallbladder rebelled like never before. Apples, apple juice, ACV, beet root, dandelion tea, healthy liver tincture - none of them helped the pain - castor oil packs did help temporarily. After 3 weeks, I finally added some cheese back to my diet and the pain subsided. Except for the gallbladder pain, I felt great eating only fruit and veg (ala Dr. Robert Morse). So if anyone knows what will fix this gallbladder permanently, I'd love to know."

MUSTARD

[YEA] 09/30/2009: Tanya from Hailey, Id writes: "I suffered unusual pain in my upper right abdomen and just thought about it for 36 hours wondering what it could be. Remembering my mom's problems with her gallbladder, I thought I'd try her sworn remedy. I purchased some ground mustard and opened it in the car to take some - about 1/4 teaspoon using the foil top as a spoon.. Got home, drank a ton of water! Craving my homemade white bean, tomato, corn soup and wanting more of the mustard in a palatable form, I dumped 1 tsp in each of 2 good bowls of the soup. I also bought a bunch of organic cherry tomatoes I was craving. I ate it wondering if I ate too much.. Then took a hot bath, dressed up really warm, sweating everywhere, put a magnet on my side, went to bed and woke up pain-free. Completely. I am surprised I had this issue because I try hard to listen to my body but I read that my diet may have contributed to it - and severe stress. "Thank you mom!" (June 1923- October 2008)"

It`s a stabbing pain that comes and goes very quickly. hubby is on the way to grocery store to get lemons and olive oil, I have an appointment tomorrow for scan...I will post my results of how the olive oil and lemon juice went."
RepliesEC: Hi Elaine, your gallbladder is located under your right rib cage, not left.

[YEA] 06/27/2008: Elisha from Manila, Philippines writes: "I was diagnosed with "Focal Caliectasia" in my right kidney via ultra sound 4 years ago. Per doctor's recommendation, I need to undergo further IV xray which I did not follow because of fear. I just leave it as is.
After reading EarthClinic several times, I decided to take 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of lemon juice and followed by 500 ml of water for the kidney cleanse regimen two weeks ago. I'm not aware if anything came out when I urinate but one thing for sure when I have my bowel movement I saw something floated. I took the same regimen last night and again something floated. This time, I used chopstick to pick them one by one and I was surprised to see green gallstones.
I did not take any apple juice nor epson salt. I took my normal breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast - Old Fashion Oats with walnuts and almonds, Soy Coffee and Strawberry Jam Sandwich
Lunch - 1/4 Roast Chicken (Remove the skin) with one cup of White Rice and kelp with tofu soup
Snacks - Cinnamon Sweet Potato Crisps and Tien Chi Flower Tea
Dinner - Steamed sliced Lapu-lapu (grouper fish in the Philippines) with 1/2 cup Brown Rice and stir fry mustard with ground ginger & few drops of sesame oil.
I guess it all depends on the condition of your body that's why these gallstone came out with 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of freshly squeeze lemon juice."

OLIVE OIL AND LEMON JUICE, DIETARY CHANGES

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 09/04/2010: Dan from Hollywood, Fl, U.S.A. writes: "I have been flushing my gallbladder on occasion for the last approximately 18 years simply using 10-12 ounces of olive oil taken a few ounces every 15 minutes followed by a sip of lemon juice.
I am a 52 year-old male, 6 ft. Tall, 150 pounds. I have been a Vegan for 27 years, eating a mostly raw food diet. Yet, I still get a gallbladder full of
Gallstones periodically (twice in the last 4 years.) I had always attributed this to occasionally eating foods cooked in oil or roasted nuts, as these indulgences would result in either a gallbladder attack or extreme discomfort. However, everything I have been reading says that these green wax-like stones are comprised mainly of cholesterol which my girlfriend informed me only comes from animal products. Therefore my experience tells me that the cholesterol theory may be incomplete. In my search to eliminate gallstone producing fats from my diet I stopped eating "raw" cashews because they are heated in the shelling process and so are actually not raw. Does anyone have any ideas on why non-cholesterol eating people get gallstones?"
02/07/2011: Kimberly from Minneapolis, Mn replies: "Hi Dan. Just to let you know, the cholesterol in your gall bladder and gallstones is produced in your own liver. It is not the cholesterol that we may or may not choose to ingest. "
01/14/2012: Jon from Salt Lake City, Utah replies: "I had my first Gallbladder Issue a year and a half ago, I thought it was the cholesterol so I went vegan. But even eating raw veggies and alternate protein sources I still had to do flushes often. I even got my biggest stone (larger than a quarter) when I was vegan. Soo.... I think it has to do more with healthy bile rather than low cholesterol levels. Lately I am trying raw goats milk, salmon, and a chinese herb gold coin grass. As well as yoga and meditation. I'll see what happens. Lol"

OLIVE OIL, HOT MILK

[YEA] 12/15/2008: Alice from Wiesbaden, Germany writes: "Olive Oil / Whole Milk
I just would like to share with you an ancient gallbladder remedy, that I have found in a little Mazdaznan book after a gallbladder attack last week. Take a tablespoon of olive oil every two and a half hours. In between take very hot milk slowly by tablespoon. According to Mazdaznan, this should dissolve gallstones. General information: during this time eat less than usual and drink plenty. I am not sure if it works, as I just started to try this remedy. Nevertheless after a really bad and painfull gallbladder attack, I tried this recipe the following day and the pain in my right shoulder subsided very quickly. I hope this will help somebody else too.
Best wishes from Germany :-))

OLIVE OIL, SUPPLEMENTS
Ratings:
|
[YEA] Marion Odgers writes: "I'm quite a newbie, relatively speaking, with regard to flushing, but I'll do my best to outline what I have learned thus far.
Liver flushing with extra virgin (first cold pressed) organic olive oil is the cleanse of choice for most gall bladder and liver flushers, as the most basic ingredient. There are products out there that some use to dissolve stones, but I understand that they take time and may not give immediate results, if at all. There are also a number of variations in the flushing techniques people prefer to use. Some try different protocols each time they flush, but they all consist of using olive oil, or some other form of oil, and lemon juice. I have only flushed once, so far, but have learned quite a bit from the veteran flushers on the yahoo gallbladder discussion site.
This is the flush protocol I decided to use (below) and it was very successful, using the Global Healing Center's products Oxy-powder (colon cleanser) and Super-Phos 30 (mixed with organic apple juice to soften/dissolve stones), both taken for 4 days prior to flushing. This protocol also uses Epsom Salts (I mixed this with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice to improve the taste), which are used as an additional colon cleanser on the day of the flush, but the Epsom Salts also have the added benefit of dilating the bile ducts to allow stones to pass easily and without pain. It's recommended to do a parasite cleanse, first, but many don't do this on the first flush, as they are generally seeking immediate relief, and a parasite cleanse can take several weeks to complete. Also, some people are unable to stomach ascetic juices and the epsom salts, if they suffer from acid reflux or IBS, but cleansing the intestinal tract (some type of colon cleanse) is highly recommended, first, in addition to fasting after lunchtime on flush day, as this speeds the flushing of the stones with little or no pain.
http://www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gallbladder-flush.html
Another excellent site is Julia Chang's site, which incorporates the use of Chinese Bitters and Gold Coin Grass. I haven't used her protocol, but other flushers give it a big thumbs up. Apparently, Ms. Chang is also extremely helpful when users have called for advice and help.
http://www.sensiblehealth.com/gallbladder.html
The one Tara outlined for you (click here to read Tara's remedy) is, from what I understand, a little more on the aggressive side, as most people find it very hard to swallow such large amounts of oil on an empty stomach, with nausea being a side-effect of that. There are other flushes that can be done that are a little easier on the system and can be repeated at shorter intervals (every two weeks, if necessary). There are also "slow flushes", which involve taking smaller daily amounts of olive oil and lemon juice.
Curezone lists a number that many have had great success with, if you scroll down the main page a ways:
http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/
Dr Hulda Clarke's is very popular with flushers and the William Donald Kelley flush is almost identical to the one recommended by Global Healing Center that I used.
There is a lot of controversy about gallbladder and liver flushing with the mainstream medical community, as you most likely already know. Dr. Andrew Weil, the renowned Harvard trained doc turned holistic guru, is quite damning on his website, calling the flushed, soft green stones "soap stones" and simply a byproduct of the olive oil. Although, quite a few flushers have had their stones analyzed, as evidenced at the Curezone site, as being cholesterol, calcium and bile stones.
All I confirm is from my own personal experience and that really "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" with each individual on this. I got immediate relief from doing a flush and passed many green stones, but I also passed quite a number of whitish-tan colored, hardened cholesterol stones and fatty chaff. There are a number of pics you can view at the Curezone site of types of stones flushers have passed. One incredible side benefit is that since doing my first flush in March, I have had almost complete relief from perimenopausal pms symptoms, which I hadn't anticipated! I understand that the liver functions as the body's garbage disposal unit. If it isn't functioning at full capacity, then it can't break down toxins in the body, including excess hormones (like estrogen dominance during the change of life), but it would seem that a cleansed liver can! :) Estrogen dominance, in and of itself, can be a culprit of stone formation, hence the four Fs (forty, fair, fertile, female) profile.
The medical community's first line of defense is to remove gall bladders, as being dispensable body parts, much like an appendix. However, it is also known that people who have their gall bladders removed are also at greater risk of colon cancer, as bile then drips directly and continuously into the duodenum. Also, many stones that end up in the gall bladder come from the liver in the first instance. So, while a person may have had their gall bladder removed, this doesn't always remove the original problem and the pain may continue from liver stone formation. The other argument is that mainstream docs say "stones can't be passed", yet this doesn't explain why stones (that are being passed) actually get lodged in the bile duct in the first place.
Many who flush have managed to keep this vital organ by regular flushing. Some have even had 'before and after' ultrasounds that have unequivocally shown that their stones have miraculously 'disappeared'.
I'm not a medically trained person and I don't have a lot of experience with regular flushing, but I was willing to try this more gentle holistic approach to relieve the pain I was experiencing. Since the one flush, I have had no pain from biliary colic, at all, so I am convinced that this protocol works! However, as with anything, it also requires a complete attitude change with regard to conscious eating habits and taking responsibility in this regard. There is even more controversy regarding types of diet to prevent gall stone formation, but the general consensus amongst flushers is that fat-free diets and long periods of fasting are a major culprit of stone formation, because the liver then overcompensates to produce its own cholesterol, thus creating stones. This is often why thin people may also have high bad cholesterol levels. So, healthy, mono and polyunsaturated fats (excluding all saturated fats) are actually required by the liver to maintain optimal function with the good cholesterol to keep it cleansed and in good working order.
Hope the site references help a bit. You will be able to glean quite a bit more information from them. My experience and knowledge about all this is still rather limited, just at this point."
Replies[NAY] 10/20/2008: Agnes from Toronto, Ontario, Canada replies: "I tried Julia Chang's gallstone tonics and flush 10 x over a one year period. I don't drink alcohol and the alcohol content of the tonics upset my stomach - giving me lots of gas and a metalic taste in the morning. I started out with a few tiny stones and after 10 flushes there are many more and they are bigger! I had only a few moderately good flushes. There were 2 excelent ones out of the ten where I felt a surge of energy after the flush.
However I think that incomplete flushes mean that all that olive oil triggers the formation of more stones - as that has been my case. So it's like playing Russian Roulette doing these flushes.
Drinking a can of Coka Cola with the olive oil and lemon juice helps chug it down and my herbalist believes that the effervescence also stimulates gallbladder contractions.
I do reiki on myself whenever I have a gallbladder attack (which are sharp but not severe) and it works every time. I also meditate and use deep controlled breathing to calm down. The gallbladder is a decision making organ and when we worry, it contracts in response, forming stones from bile (just as you form clumps of wet sand by sqeezing)...there are definitely emotional connections involved in the formation of stones (as well as poor eating habits) but genetics also plays a role as there is a tendency in my family to get gallstones and have problems digesting fats in general.
All the stones I have flushed out melt after 3 days... I'm not convinced it works...and I'm worried it might be making things worse!"

The parsley tea can be boiled and drunken cold or hot."

I just have got problem in Cholelithiasis, so I do not want to take any medicine, I want to use natural supplyment. If, there is any way to solve using natural way, please let me know.

Replies05/21/2011: Bill from San Fernando, San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Saroj... I have used Chanca Piedra(called Bhumyamalaki) and Heavenly Elexir(called Guduchi) which are both used in Indian Ayurvedic and Unani medicine.I have used both successful in a water decoction for gallstones, kidney stones, gout, arthritis and candida. Therefore, it would probably benefit you to see a good Ayurvedic healer in your area, since these two herbs are Rasayana herbs in the Indian medical system.
If this is not possible then simply buy Chanca Piedra(Bhumyamalaki) capsules from a health store and take 1000 mgs at mealtimes. This herb gently dissolves away and loosens gallstones and kidney stones which is why this herb is also known as "Stonebreaker". Chanca Piedra should get rid of the gallstones within about a month.

I have read all the posts on gallstones and the flushes, but my story is a bit different and i am in desperate need of help. 2 years ago i had my gallbladder removed because of stones. within 3 months the pains were back and i have 2 stones lodged in my common bile duct. The pains are unbearable and i have just dealt with them for almost 2 years now. I have seen a doctor they did a MRI and that is how they found the stones in my bile duct. they want to go in and take them out by putting a tube down my throat and making a cut in my bile duct, but i am weary of having this procedure done. My question is, is their a way of getting them out without the surgeries and will it be safe? The doctors said they are very close to my pancreas and it can cause pancreatitis and liver disease if i keep putting off having them removed, i am just done with dealing with this pain i am only 29 years old and the pains feel like im giving birth. The pains are now coming more often and lasting longer than they have before, and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the wonderful site earth clinic"

12/13/2009: Phil from Dearing, Ga replies: "Hello Tasha. My wife had her gallbladder removed and she will get these very bad pains and nausea from time to time. What we have had sucess with, as far as the pain and nausea go. We use one glass ( 8oz ) of room tenperture apple juice with a shot glass or 2 tablespoons of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Mix and drink. Her pain goes away completly in 30 minutes and she will start to feel better within just a few minutes of drinking this.
I DO NOT know if this disolves the stones or not, but the pain does stop for her every time, so far! In some of my research, I DO remember it being stated that the apple juice helps soften the stones.
I have read alot on gallbladder/liver cleanses and it seems, that people who's gallbladders have already been removed still develope stones in thier BILE DUCTS...So one of the key ingredants in a CLEANSE is lots of APPLE JUICE about 3 days before the cleanse. and then there are some other things one must do...EPSOM SALT and OLIVE OIL, GRAPEFRUIT JUICE ( FRESHLY SQUEEZED ).
I can't give you the step by step details of this, because I can't remember them in full, but if you do some research on here and on other websites...You should find the cleanse that would best suite you...SO just do some research and good luck, DON"T FORGET TO USE GOOGLE, I am able to find out almost anything using it.

12/13/2009: Carolyn from Hobbs, Nm Usa replies: "Response from Tasha: Tasha, the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar book has a great gallbladder and liver cleanse in it. It flushes the liver and gallbladder. I surely would try a flush before you do what that doctor wants to do. My niece had that done and she ended up in the hospital for 3 months with Pancreatitis. At least get a different opinion from another doctor. I can't even tell you what the doctors have done to me and now I only do the natural cures. God bless and good luck. Carolyn"
12/13/2009: Celteyes from Pearland, Texas replies: "I would recommend anyone with gallbladder problems to do the cleanse. In 2000 before I ever knew anything about natural medicine. I had a gallbladder attack and let them put me in the hospital and remove it. Before they did that they gave me a test that caused dye to go into my pancreas. I almost died. Literally. My doctor was white with nerves everytime he came to see me. Kept apologizing profusely. I had never been so sick in my life. Was in the hospital a month. Thankfully I finally got well but never had the brains to investigate natural medicine until diagnosed with breast cancer the next year.Hey folks you can't improve on God's creation. Everything we need is in nature. Well...I guess if I broke a bone I would let an M.D. set it! hee hee"
12/15/2009: Tasha from Springfield, Usa replies: "i may have been a little unclear on my question. So these cleanses are safe for me to do even if the stones are in my bile duct? my worry is if i do the cleanse where are these gallstones going to go, hopefully not to my pancreas and yes they want to do the procedure right away and use the dye that can cause pancreaitis. i was suppose to have it done Dec. 2 but when i got their to register i found that my insurance was cancelled due to my husband being laid off work but the doctor keeps calling me to reschedule. i just want these things gone, I have tried to send a message to ted but for some reason it wont let me send it their is no send button and i have no clue what else to do. But if these cleanses are safe for me to do without haveing a gall bladder then it is worth a try. thanks for all the feedback, Tasha"
EC: Tasha, Ted's email address is parhat@yahoo.com.
12/16/2009: Carolyn from Hobbs, Nm, Usa replies: "Tasha, the stones will go into your stomach and you may even see them in your stool when they leave your body. They will not go into your pancreas. Try the cleanse. What have you got to loose. You may save yourself from that surgery and a lot more issues after the surgery. It surely won't hurt you to try. Good luck and God Bless. Carolyn"
12/31/2009: Tasha from Ohio, Usa replies: "Thanks for all the feedback, but just wanted to give an update on my gallstones that are stuck in my bile duct. I did the epsom salt, olive oil and lemon juice flush and had no luck, i hear you sometimes have to do it more than once but i personally do not think i will ever be able to drink any of that stuff again it was absolutely horrible i bearly got it down, but i will try some other things that are mentioned,if any thing works i will post another update."
01/13/2010: Debra from Marengo, In replies: "I also detest the stuff but have found grapefruit mixes well with the olive oil, shake up good and use a straw to drink it down. Do it quick and this helps"
01/30/2010: Vivi from Atlanta, Ga replies: "First time I did the liver flush with olive oil and lemon juice, I added some salt to the mixture, and shake it well. Salt changes taste of the liquid. I make my own salad dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and some herbs, with less of olive oil. Try a few times to make a dressing like that and see if you tolerate it. Later on you may better accept the liver flush olive oil shake."

Pain should ease off and go away.My wife had her gallbladder removed, because of stones after her last pregancy. At the time I did not know of this remedy. We have learned that people STILL GET gallstones in their ducts, after the gallbladder is removed.
When these attacts occur, she does the applejuice/apple cider viniger and it disappears everytime.
Removal of the gallbladder will not stop symptoms or pain. You will continue to have attacks and coffee ground looking diarrhea. Apple juice/viniger will stop this.
I believe Ted tells of some ways to disolve the stones on this site. You will have to read and do searches here on earth clinic.Good Luck!"
