Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda
[YEA] 12/23/2010: Reasoningforum from Vancouver , Bc, Canada: "Mix some vinegar with baking soda (soda bicarb) and dip your fingers into the brew (dilute if you wish with filtered water) - and see how the fungus runs away! Might be a solution for athlete's feet - just an idea."
06/21/2009: Sue Kruger from Albany, North Shore City, Auckland: "Nail Fugus- ACV and Baking Soda are very healthy to Ingest. I have had Nail Fungus on and off for 13 years. I will try both remedies as I know that they are very healthy and wise. I know that Tea Tree oil is a miracle remedy for many things like that as well. For a cure all, colloidal silver is good and can even kill herpes. Thanks for all the advice, and keep supporting these sites."
Apple Cider Vinegar, Borax
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 08/09/2011: Elizabeth from Balcatta, Perth Western Australia: "I want you all to know my story. I have had a horrible existence due to bad skin that all my life, was diagnosed as eczema until I was 32. I went to a natural doctor here who prescribed me pau d' aco tablets after diagnosing me with fungus. He said it would take a year, but this tablet would cure me permanently as this fungus has to be killed very, very slowly.
I can't tell you how much I cried when I was told it was fungus, so instead of taking his recommended dose, I thought I'd increase pau d' aco and kill it sooner. I was on it for eight months and my skin went absolutely haywire. I had big sores, deep scratch marks, and the itch was absolutely unbearable, not to mention the deep scabs that I have to pull from my scalp on a daily basis. I got off the tablet.
These scabs are painful to touch but even more painful if I leave them. I have to dig them out and they leave a huge pit there. I have been picking the same ones for over twenty years. I have lost hair and sometimes broken nails trying to dig them out, but once they are removed, my skin feels better. It's either been scabs or holes for me. Then I discovered this site.
I have just had a shower and used Ted's borax, apple cider vinegar and water shampoo, which I tried all over my body with a buff puff sponge, because I got relief from it in my scalp and my skin feels soft, and my body feels at ease. My hair right now feels so beautiful! I rinsed it out with more apple cider vinegar after and it feels soft and shiny! I purchased the borax from Woolworths. I hope there arent any long term affects as we use that stuff to clean in Australia. I am scared of carcinogenics. ( I have even used selleys rmk, a mould cleaner. I don't recommend that. It's crazy I know as I was so desperate to kill this fungus, as it can't even be tested for.)
I had sores on my shoulders and Teds shampoo recipe which I made up, has brought the itch and the redness down. I will give this time and write back to this website to let you all know how I am doing. Thankyou Ted for giving me a great relief to this horrible disease I had to endure for 39 years. God Bless You for this site. Elizabeth P. XxxxxxXx"
Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil
[YEA] 09/17/2007: Suzie from Huntington Beach, CA: "Well, I am not positive, however, all I can tell you is that after years of fungus on my two big toes... It's now gone!!! You name it I tried it... I thought it was from salon pedicures, then, I thought damage to my nail beds from running and maybe my toes hitting the top of my shoes... Well, needless to say... I just couldn't get the fungus to go away!!! Then my life was changed by this site! I started taking ACV (Apple Cider Vineger) and VCO and I am now fungus free! I was taking the coconut oil orally ( 3 t. a day) and it made me bloated so I didn't take it for more than a month I'd say... However, I did use it as a moisterizer every night after my shower and I would specifically rub it around and under my toe nails... I cannot believe that the fungus is gone!!! Honestly! I share my story every where I go! Nail shops really need this information to pass onto their clients... Fungus makes you feel so dirty... My beautiful toe's have returned! Thank you! Earth clinic and friends!"Replies
02/06/2011: Sue from New York replies: "To: 09/17/2007: Suzie from Huntington Beach, CA - You don't say if you did the ACV daily soak - or whether you took it orally. Which was it? And what was your formula either way? You were clear with the coconut oil, which I am grateful for! Great story!"
11/05/2011: Pete from Fort Collins, Colorado replies: "I eat VCO and cook with it daily for its healthy properties. I started using it on the bags under my eyes and they were gone it a week with tight young looking skin there. I thought this to be amazing and started using it on my bad toenails. I don't think this will work by itself so I'm going to start the organic ACV treatment. The VCO will probably make the sore skin around the toenails a lot better though. Maybe use it after I heal my nails with the ACV. I also would like to know how you applied the ACV and/or if you drank it too. Thanks in advance."
Apple Cider Vinegar, Copper Sulfate
[YEA] 07/06/2008: Liz from Stuttgart, Germany: "i mix 40 ml of cider vinegar with 20 grams of copper sulphate into a one liter spray bottle..top with water and it makes the most effective wound spray i have ever used (been using on it on my horses for over 20 years) .. it works equally as well on skin conditions .. copper sulphate prevents proud flesh and kills all skin fungus."
EC: Copper Sulphate is used for its blue coloring in fireworks and paints.

[YEA] 05/31/2012: Tammy from London, Uk: "I have had left big toe nail fungus for over 20 years and not keen on surgery I soldiered on. While browsing through the posts I cam across the ACV with the 'mother' and hydrogen peroxide (I had 6% in the house diluted it to 3%). Soaked the toe for three days while trimming and filing afterwards. 3/4 of this very thick unsightly nail just amazingly painlessly came off after all these years. I am mighty ecstatic cant stop looking at my, emerging new nail will continue to soak and file until the whole nail is pink and healthy.
Thank you All for the very helpful contributions, there make a big and cheap difference in enhancing we stay health and keep up the good work. I feel blessed since the day I stumbled on to this site."Replies
07/23/2013: Jc from Columbus, Ga, Us replies: "How long did you soak your toe nails each day, for them three days."
02/02/2011: Mary Moore from Memphis, Tn: "If people feet are not getting better they need to change there shoes. PEROXIDE AND VINEGAR ARE SOME OF THE BEST ANTISEPTICS. THE VINEGARS SOFTENS THE TOENAILS SO U CAN CUT THEM. THE VICKS SAS WILL STOP THE WORST FUNGUS ON YOUR FEET AND TOES AND CUT THE TOENAILS SHORT. PROBABLY NEED TO TAKE SOMETHING BY MOUTH IF THE FUNGUS HAVE GOTTEN UNDER THE TOENAIL. THE ACID LEVEL IS PROBABLY TO HIGH."
[YEA] 08/31/2010: Jane from Worcester, Massachsetts/usa: "About 10 mos. ago I developed a fungus in one of my large toenails. I never had that before so I didn't know what it was. My nail started turning yellowish brown in color and it spread across most of the nail. I was freaking out. I went to see a podiatrist who told me the bad news and told me this might never go away and could spread to my other nails! He sold me an expensive tube of cream. I saw him a few more times and he basically did nothing to help the problem. I applied the cream for 7 months and saw no improvement. I spent the summer trying to hide my feet and avoiding the beach and pools. I love wearing pretty sandals in the summer. The doctor told me not to try home remedies that I might read about because they don't work. But I didn't listen to him. I decided to try the apple cider vinegar and hydrogen peroxide solution I read about. I mixed it half and half in a small bottle and started applying it on and under my toenail at least twice a day. I keep my toes exposed to the air as much as possible at home and only cover up when I go out. It's been less than a week and it's like a miracle! I noticed improvement the very next day! The fungus has stopped spreading and the new growth looks nice and healthy! Hopefully it continues that way and by next Spring I can wear pretty sandals again and end the embarrassment! So for those of you who are ready to give up.... There is hope! Maybe this will work for you!"
Apple Cider Vinegar, Peroxide, Vicks, Antibiotic Ointment
04/21/2013: Floridagirl from Sunny, Fl: "Apple Cider Vinegar for nail fungus. It worked for me! :)
I think I had an injury to my thumb nail that caused the nail to lift a little, and well that's when I got nail fungus. It started in the corner and at first was just kind of a dark spot, and then the following couple of days started turning into a white-yellow half circle and was growing. When I would touch the nail or skin around it, it was tender. I thought maybe it was an infection, but it sounded more like a fungus.
Remedy I used:
Apple Cider Vinegar
Hydrogen Peroxide 3%
What I did:
Clipped my nail back a little just in the affected corner. Just enough to show a little bit of the underlying skin. I did this to relieve a little pressure, because the skin was a little inflamed and was hurting. Also, I thought it would be easier for the medicines to reach the area.
I mixed a cap full of apple cider vinegar & peroxide together. Dipped a q-tip in the mixture and rubbed it on, around, and under the affected area. It will fizz a little, but it does not hurt. You will get some pain relief with in a short time, if your fingernail was hurting before!
I rubbed this mixture on my finger nail 3 times a day.
During the day time, I would rub some antibiotic ointment on the area with NO bandaid. Of course, I had to re-apply frequently when my hands would get wet. At night I put Vick's vapor rub AND a bandaid on my thumb. I made sure the bandaid was not too tight, but also that it would not fall off.
I did all of this for 4 days.
On day two, I noticed that it seemed to start going away (shrinking), and by day 4 it looked like it was completely gone. Just keep applying everything until it is completely gone. I'm so happy it worked!!"
Apple Cider Vinegar, Tea Tree and Lavendar Oils
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 03/17/2014: Bernadette from New South Wales, Australia: "For 6 weeks I have been soaking both my feet twice a day in apple cider vinegar for 2 big toes which have yellowed and thickened. In the evening I apply tea tree oil combined with lavender oil to both toes and I have had 5mm new growth in this time which is pink, healthy and showing no signs of fungus. During the day in between soaks, I spray all my toes with white vinegar and dry them in the sun for a few minutes. I am thrilled with the new growth and can't wait for the yellow nails to grow out."
Apple Cider Vinegar, Vitamin E, Vitamin D
[YEA] 08/29/2011: Bia from Lahore, Pakistan: "Hi,
I would like to share success of cure fungal nails. My daughter aged 7yrs since she was goign through this acute fungal nails which she got it from making bubbles out of liquid dishwasher.
Aftetr seeing several doctors, applying medicines, homoepathic, etc.
Finally after great research I applied apple vinegar for 2 years and vitamin E oil cap and manicure them regulary and vitamin D-3 suspension 1tsp at night worked like magic and I want eveyone who are suffering from this should start applying these and see how they vanish as they never existed.
06/11/2013: Pandoranran from Guangzhou, China replies: "Can you explain the vitamin D3? Was it applied the affected area or taken orally?"
09/19/2009: Roy from Paris, Egypt: "I have aided penetration of antifungal materials by drilling 4-6 small (1/16") in the toenail. not difficult- but be careful."
[YEA] 02/20/2007: Philip from Thunder Bay, Canada: "I have one foot cured and the other almost done with this new approach. I dip my toes in scalding hot water (one at a time) long enough that I can't take the pain anymore. I dry them off with a hair dryer and then apply antifungal ointment. I trim the nails as short as possible. I have been doing this for two weeks at bedtime and in the morning. It's working for me so far. I make their home small, hot, and poisonous. If they still want to live there, they will be uncomfortable"
[YEA] 02/03/2007: DeeDee from Sydney, Australia: "Just a hint for all the medications you try. I found it best to appy after showers, soaking etc. But also needed to use on perfectly dry nails like at bedtime. You can see the liquid being pulled in by the dry tissue. Cures work much quicker."
[YEA] 02/21/2008: Jessyka from Memphis, TN, USA: "I had the horrid nail fungus many years ago and took Lamasil to clear it up. When my father failed to do the same, the fungus returned years later, both pinky toenails now fully infected. Without the money for the medicine and the will to again risk its side-effects, I lived with it. 11 days ago, I adopted a baking soda regimine for other reasons (cancer preventative). Today, my right pinky nail simply fell off when I was drying after my morning shower. Beneath, a new nail - a perfect nail - was found growing in. Nothing else in my diet or lifestyle has changed other than the baking soda addition to my routine. Most Americans' lifestyles and diets leave our bodies too acidic for good health. Baking soda balances the bodies Ph, creating a more alkaline system. I mix 1 teaspoon in a glass of water at bedtime. Ideally, it's recommended taken in the morning with no food or drink for 1 hour before or after; however, as I'm hypoglycemic, I have to have my Coca-Cola (others have coffee) first thing each morning, so I don't drop dead. Regardless, I've noticed a number of improvements since adopting the baking soda routine (which is terribly easy to do - quick and simple). I'm sleeping better, my skin is clearing up, and, lo and behold, my toenail fungus is obviously dead... in eleven days!!! [Insert delighted giggle here] I couldn't believe it when I discovered the old infected nail barely holding on and falling away with the first touch and a shiny new healthy nail beneath (even if it is small yet). Now, I'm watching the still-infected nail on the left, and yes, it's got a line of "disconnection" appearing. I recommend giving the baking soda a try and do so for more reasons than defeated nail fungus. Go ahead, google "baking soda" and see how much you discover. In some European country (think it was Italy or Germany), a doctor is actually curing cancer with baking soda therapy, even in serious cases where changing the bodies Ph to one more alkaline is making all other treatments (as chemo) doubly effective. Cancer cells cannot thrive or spread in an alkaline environment. And consider this - it's in your kitchen. You cook with it. You eat it. It's non-toxic, has no ill side-effects, costs almost nothing, and even whitens teeth. I can't say everyone will have the astounding all-around results I have so quickly encountered, but I'd have to encourage them to give it a shot. It's too easy to implement not to try. That's one teaspoon baking soda stirred into one glass of water, once a day, preferably in the morning (but it doesn't seem to matter), with no food or drink for an hour before or after. Good luck."Replies
04/13/2009: Myke from Colorado Springs, CO replies: "I have a question about the baking powder treatment. I've read on another site, to only take baking powder for 3 weeks or it will change the ph or alkalinity (I can't remember which), of your body to much and cause other problems. Hopefully the original poster will respond. How often and how long have you been drinking the Baking Powder water mixture? Also confused about the ACV treatment. It seems some people drink it as well as applying topically? Is it safe to drink ACV, and how much per day?"
EC: Note: Remedy is baking soda, not baking powder ...
