MULTIPLE REMEDIES TRIED

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 06/03/2008: Joan from San Francisco, CA writes: "BOIL REMEDIES: I am back and wanted to share my experiences recently since trying the different recommended remedies. I use a combination and they have drastically reduced the condition.
1. Dial soap (ordinary yellow bar only) - each morning.
2. Tumeric tablets - 3/4 times a day w/ meals (I have noticed this really reduces the swelling).
3. use Tea tree oil at night and Bach's flower remedy cream over it before bedtime.
As a result, although it has not completely vanished, the symptoms have drastically been reduced. It reduces swelling, pain and bursting. It has reduced the number of boils and when they do appear, they are much smaller and resolve themselves much quicker.
Thanks everyone for your help."

It was benign, the size of a grapefruit, & was an outpt procedure, Was sent home with drains & Oxy-contin. Detoxed self off that, & came through well with the drains meaning little scarring. 6 mos. later I was to return for the same procedure on the left arm, but refused as the right was beginning to swell again. Hence, SURGERY DOESN'T WORK FOR A SYSTEMIC CONDITION. What does?? Every thing mentioned in this blessed site so far! Especially the ACV-Epsom Salt, & Kosher/Sea Salt. Messy as hell, but very healing. Paper tape as well when draining, as it took me years to find a solution to ripped-off skin. Also, Curry powder which contains Turmeric, at night, but it can stain so be careful. Then, Campho-Phenique after bathing can catch new erupts early and stop them, especially in the groin area. Hot compresses of Golden Seal/Burdock/Slippery Elm herbal tea are also effective, but on thin skin they are indeed painful - had to take several shots of liquor before applying - BUT, 30 YEARS LATER THERE'S BEEN NO RECURRANCE TO THE AREA AT THE TIP OF MY COCCYX BONE. Good luck all, will write back soon...Jessy"

MUSCULAR PAIN
08/18/2011: Mantics from Westchester, United States writes: "I got my first boil about a month ago and used this site to help me get rid of it. Mostly with baking soda, salt, garlic and finally apple cider vinegar. It was located under my right armpit and when it started I got shoulder pain in my left arm! Lifting my shoulder in a certain direction was excrutiating like I hard torn a ligament. The boil got worse and so did my body. The pain kind of spread to my other shoulder and my entire body was in pain (like you would after an extremely hard workout and your muscles are drained). This continued for about a week then the boil drained and I was pain free. I got two other tiny boils that were quickly healed after a week. Now I just got another one thats as deep as the first (all boils were under the same armpit) but I'm hoping it wont escalate to the painfullness of the first because I caught it early. Now im doing tumeric and ACV but I have that same intense shoulder pain.
Does anyone know if they could be related or if its just a coincidence that they occur at the same time?? I've never had a shoulder injury before nor do I do much with it to make it hurt this much. Any feedback would be great!"
Replies08/28/2011: Annp from Schaumburg, Il replies: "I had a similar issue. A few years ago I had foot surgery and a week after had a fungus on my foot that was treated with ointment. I also had to use crutches for a few week. Then about 2 months from the date of surgery really bizarre things started happening to my body. That's when I woke up one morning and could not move my left arm away from my body. Normal every day activities like brushing or blow drying my hair were not possible, because I was unable to lift my arm. I also had a strange rash on the armpit of that arm. My shoulder eventually got better, but any time I would use my arm in repetitive motions it would start aching again and I would have limited range of motion and of course I would notice the rash again, until I went to a Functional Health Chiropractor who did applied kinesiology and fixed me up! I really don't have the rash now, but will occassionally get bumps on my armpits. They aren't bad, but I use things like colloidal silver, aluminum free deoderant, etc.. to help keep any bumps down."

Antibiotics and once it came to a head, I kept it clean. Oh Yeah! Small wash cloth along with a heating pad help it come to a head and draw out the infection and pus. After I healed then a few weeks later my husband got a boil, I had a few antibiotics and knew what to do so I treated him. A few months later were in June now and my Grandson (13) just got one on the side of his leg. He's in a lot of pain and can hardly walk. Dr. did not lance it but it did come to a head and is draining a lot of blood. He is on Antibiotics as well as Tylenol w/codeine but that made him sick. He was also running a fever for 2 days and the 3rd day he gets a fever but not the whole day. I clean his boil with cetaphil antibacterial cleansing bar then put some amerigen wound dressing on the boil and cover it up (since it's draining) place a wet towel and then a heating pad on it."

NIC'S TURMERIC RECIPE
Ratings:
|
[YEA] 06/10/2009: Nic from Athens, Greece writes: "Boils: recipe Turmeric + Sesame Oil + black pepper
Hi everybody.
Another post, this time it's about what helped me with the latest boil, which appeared right after the first rain of summer just like it happened a year ago with another boil and two years before and so on. First of all, there is certainly a connection with seasonal rain and pollution, I was ready for the first rain trouble, but unfortunately I had to be outside on that particular day. Within an hour the boil started and became quite big, the next days it got huge. I started with turmeric in warm water, and applied some topically too, it helped a bit, but then it got very nasty, the next few days I continued with onions (compresses), eating raw garlic and ACV+honey. Nothing changed. I thought that turmeric and all the other remedies worked temporarily for me and took antibiotics and aspirin. Again, nothing AT ALL changed my condition for the better, so I stopped taking any medication. A day and a half passed and I started reading the testimonies and info here again and again thinking that perhaps the answer to my problem was hiding somewhere. Indeed, I read about combining turmeric powder with oil or fat, I'm allergic to lactose, but coconut oil was mentioned, so this reminded me of oil pulling and I use top quality sesame oil for that. Yesterday, on the verge of arranging an appointment with a doctor to have it lanced after having lost my faith and courage, I did the following:
Two tablespoons of sesame oil
Five tablespoons of water
I warmed them a lot, without boiling them I then added one teaspoon of turmeric powder and a bit of black pepper. I stirred well and drank it.
In half an hour the boil that was the size of a golf ball by then, burst, and kept draining for half an hour! The size of it was reduced to minimum! I could feel comfortable again, relieved! Amazing I said to myself. But hey, there's more: All night more fluid came out and in the morning when I thought that was it, it's over, it burst one more time.. and in the end, a white little thing popped out as well, I guess it was the root!
I hope this recipe will help someone out there. If turmeric has worked temporarily for you, maybe in really ugly situations you need to combine it with something, such as oil (sesame oil or coconut oil) or milk/creme.
Best wishes to all of you and thanks Earth Clinic!
Your fan."
07/26/2009: Judy from Jackson, MI, USA replies: "I love Turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties. Over a year ago I suffered from arthritis in my hips. I was (WAS) in so much pain. I couldn't walk with my usual speed. My hips would actually lock up on me. I wrote about Turmeric because I was researching multiple spices/herbs and their natural abilities to heal when I came across information on Turmeric and pain management. I was so amazed with the results that I now take it daily and wrote an article about it also. I love the stuff!"
10/02/2009: Anniea from Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa replies: "Hi Judy, I just wanted to let you know that within weeks of having TITANIUM tooth implants fitted, my joints began to swell & stiffen, & twice I had to be given a cortisone injection to unlock my hip joints. No less than 3 specialists insisted that I was suffering from a rare fast & early onset of arthritis! I knew they were WRONG & that it was an allergic reaction to the TITANIUM. I visited a top HOMEOPATH in Durban ~ South Africa, who managed to source some titanium & prepare some homeopathic tabs , and within a week I was back to normal & have been for at least 10yrs now. Oh! Once I took some SILICA from a health store & BOOF! my hip joints locked again, but after taking antihistamines & drinking plenty of water, it disappeared within hours. I'll never touch SILICA ever again.
Please visit a renowned HOMEOPATH & learn what you could possibly be allergic to. It's worth it ~ trust me.

02/10/2010: Matthew P from Virginia Beach, Va replies: "I am a Nurse Practitioner and practice nutritional healing. Turmeric is an awesome root and has many properties. If you are getting boils you are toxic. Your body is trying to expel poisons that have built up. Turmeric is good for the crisis phase among other things but "disease prevention" necessitates a deep liver cleanse, bowel cleansing, and some juice fasting 3-14 days. This is the only way to help your body get rid of the toxins...

[YEA] 02/25/2010: Patricia from Viroqua, Wisconsin replies: "I discovered a boil on the face of my healthy 9 month old daughter. She is our fifth child and I had never seen this on any of the other children.
I identified it quickly and responded the first day with tea tree oil. To my surprise, it continued to grow.
Day two, I applied colloidal silver about 6 times per day. But, by that evening, I could see the boil was steadily multiplying. One boil was now four. One 1/4" round and the others about 1/16th".
Day three I found your website and was intrigued by the turmeric treatment. I created my own recipe that went like this:
2 T coconut oil
2 T turmeric
10 drops tea tree oil
10 drops oregano oil
10 drops colloidal silver
1 opened capsule acidophilus
1 opened capsule 2,000 IU Vit.D3
I applied this very potent, messy paste to her boils (and put her in some older clothes we didn't care about).
By the end of the day I noticed all growth had stopped.
Day four, the healing was obviously underway. All of the boils began to heal over, the smaller ones nearly diminishing.
Day five, I applied the paste only at night.
By morning, I could see only a mark where the largest one had been and very faint marks where the smaller ones had been.
All total, I applied the paste for 3 days with excellent results!
Thank you for the invaluable website!"
08/19/2011: Sarah from Dallas, Tx replies: "Nic--thank you so much for the turmeric recipe! Turmeric has cured my boils the same way, but I took it in capsule form. I tried to take the same large amount in milk, but couldn't get it down--it was just too strong. Now I have a boil on my finger, either from a scratch from my cat or from an injury from cleaning my new house. I have cut my hands up a ridiculous number of times just cleaning things like freezer, stove, and cupboards. Now this boil is scary, because I am a professional violinist and the finger with the boil is the index finger of my hand that holds the violin. And there is joint pain too, so I think the staph has gotten into the joint and caused infectious arthritis. I cannot afford the capsules right now, but your recipe looked do-able, so I went and tried it, and sure enough it was no problem to get down! What's also great, is that I recently read that black pepper makes turmeric work even better!"
[YEA] 08/25/2011: Sarah from Dallas, Tx replies: "Update on using Nic's Turmeric Recipe: About 20 minutes after taking the first dose, the pain in my joint began go away--there was a great deal of relief from the pain. After three hours, the pain was all gone, and after four, my finger felt completely like new. I took another dose that night, and then a couple of doses the next day, and after that I forgot to take any. The second day, the boil which had been a perfectly round bump, receded back into the elongated shape of the cut which had been the source of the infection. A week later, it has been diminishing steadily, and is now almost entirely gone. Thank you so much to Earthclinic and to Nic for helping me save my hand! By the way, I found that it actually tastes better to use just one tablespoon of oil, and that way you can take 3 doses a day without taking a lot of oil."
01/21/2012: Milena from Orlando, Fl replies: "I did the turmeric recipe too, I could not drink it, it tastes really bad, I am sorry, maybe I put too much oil or spice."

OIL OF OREGANO

[YEA] 01/26/2012: Jesuslover from Minneapolis, Minnesota Usa writes: "Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for the individual testimonials and great information on this site! I contracted a staph infection shortly after surgery and also a bad cut on my finger, not sure exactly which was the cause. The infection resulted in a boil which my doctor prescribed antibiotics to treat. I was on the antibiotics for almost the full course of treatment, and while there was some improvement, it did not quickly cure or alleviate the uncomfortable condition. I started taking two capsules of oil of oregano a day, which I just happened to have in the cupboard since a friend gave them to me. The same day I began taking these my condition began to improve much more rapidly! I know it was because of the oil of oregano and I thank God for this "miracle herb". I have never really been one who put much stock in herbal remedies but I will definitely do more research in the future before only depending on presciption medications for every affliction. Thanks again for sharing this valuable information! God bless :)"

ORGANIC BEETS

[YEA] 05/23/2006: Jason from San Diego, CA writes: "Beets cured two bad boils/abscess. (At different times.) One on my left shoulder and the other on my right lower butt. I was very skeptical upon reading this as a cure of boils or an abscess but decided to try anyway. The abscess on my left shoulder was very red, with pus, very sensitive to the touch and about a quarter in size. I bought an organic red beet. I cut a sliver of it then on the side that was to lay on the abscess, cut little lines to help release the beet juice. I secured the beet with a wide band aid which was also secured by white adhesive medical tape. I changed the beet twice a day, in the morning and upon going to bed. It took 2 1/2 days to see a reduction of 65-70%. Another day pretty much eliminated the abscess. I was stunned and amazed. A month or so later I had another abscess/boil on the lower region of my right butt. I tried the above and within three-four days it was pretty much gone. Thankfully, that was the last of any abscess/boils. If they come back I'll know what to do."

pH BALANCING AND CLAY POULTICE FOR BOILS
Ratings:
|
[YEA] 03/02/2008: Liz from Scranton, PA writes: "I am definitely alkalizing as it makes perfect sense. Also using turmeric, Celtic sea salt, and greens. Internal health may take time to achieve, but Ted's lemon/ ACV and baking soda really works for so many problems--quick too. ' I have boils for the first time. I have been mixing several teaspoons of bentonite clay with water, placing a glob over the boil and spreading it thickly over the surrounding area, then covering it all with gauze or a clean cloth. Last, I wrap securely with plastic. Keeps the area moist and the clay off sheets and clothes. This has worked wonders in only a day. Boils are no longer sore or swollen and the whole area is healing and drying beautifully. Change the poultice every 8-12 hours. I will keep it up for a week to make sure the infection is gone. Also will continue internal alkalizing. You do not have to spend a fortune on bentonite clay. I got mine on ebay from a company that sells it for fish ponds. It does keeps my pond water clear--probably for the same reason it heals people. Once on ebay search with words "clay koi" and that will bring you to a great inexpensive product-- 20 lbs of it! Thank you Earth Clinic, contributors, and especially Ted! Great info! Really helped me and others with so many problems! Liz"
Replies03/15/2008: Liz from Scranton, Pennsylvania replies: "Hi Everyone,
I want to add some information to the post about the calcium bentonite clay poultices that I wrote here a week ago. While reading further on the internet, I discovered someone who was mixing the clay with ten parts per million colloidal silver. After covering the boils he found a significant improvement overnight, and after four days of wearing the silver poultice the boil was gone and none have returned in three years. This individual explained the ionic exchange between the silver and the infection being much enhanced by the pulling effects of the clay.
Because the boil on my hand was so serious and spreading so quickly and deeply, I decided to continue with the clay and silver poultice instead of clay and water.
The difference was dramatic! Overnight the silver clay pulled the poison under the skin into a bubble-- like a second degree burn. I was at first alarmed because it looked worse than ever. Night after night I continued the silver clay poultice, wrapped in plastic and held in place with and elastic bandage.AFTER ONE WEEK, THE INFECTION IS GONE! I also slugged a couple ounces of this silver a day to check anything that might have gone internal, but I believe the poultice really did the trick.
Of important note, my understanding is that MRSA staff reside inside the nose, so I bought the cheapest no-drip nasal spray medicine I could find and emptied the contents and cleaned it out thoroughly, sending filtered water through the spray system for 10 good pumps. Then I filled the bottle with colloidal silver, using this to get the silver inside my nose and sinuses. I rub my nose holes together to spread this completely. I guess this kills the staff where it is carried. Added bonus: stopped a cold in its tracks!
Word about colloidal silver: It is too expensive by the bottles. You can brew your own very cheaply by making a one-time investment in a good, plug-in, steady- current silver generator.
Do not use the battery operated kind. The silver particles are too large and clump together. Look on the internet. There are several good companies with good information (I have no financial interest in these companies).
I am just beginning to appreciate all the uses for silver in fighting pathogens. With a little creativity, there are so many effective treatments possible with this stuff.Just like ACV and cayenne pepper, silver may be indispensable to maintaining good health in our world which is slowly poisoning itself and hell-bent on profit.
Thank you, Earth Clinic for letting me share this here. To anyone struggling with boils and MRSA, try the silver poultice. It looked as if my hand were being eaten off, but in one week, my skin looks like the infection never happened!
Liz" "
04/26/2008: Liz from Scranton, PA replies: "I have written before about a condition of fast-growing deep boils that were spreading over my hand. the main lesion was quite deep. To update: I continued using the bentonite clay mixed with colloidal silver for two weeks or so. The boils have not returned. What is of special note though is that there is NO scarring at all! The gentle drawing action of the clay combined with the antibacterial action of the silver were extremely effective at healing. The main boil was deep and I am quite amazed that there is no scar. My hand looks as if this had never happened. Liz"
08/11/2008: Tina from Dunbridge, Ohio replies: "Dear Liz, Did you just wear the poultice overnight or all day? I am currently using different topical stuff for my spots but my boss says I am no longer allowed to because it looks 'unprofessional and disgusting'. She says she'll lay me off if I don't! So I can't have any thing visible on during work-which cuts out a lot of home remedies."
06/17/2009: Liz from Scranton, PA replies: "Tina, I am so sorry not to have answered you, but I have not checked back to this section of Earth Clinic for a while. In answer to anyone who might be reading about the clay/silver poultice: I wore the thick poultice from the time I came home, through the night, until I showered. During the day at work, I smeared the silver clay thinly over the area and covered it with gause. I would then wrap my hand with a clean, flesh toned, ace elastic bandage. I wore a long sleeve cotton shirt to cover most of the dressing. On the weekends, I wore the poultice day and night. As the boil improved, a large bandaid did the trick. Of note: The boil has never come back (well over a year now). There is absolutely no way to tell where it once was. Liz"

PREVENTING REINFECTION

[YEA] 09/11/2007: Jane from Austin, Tx writes: "One thing everyone is overlooking is self reinfection. The use of short sheets like in the hospital need to be used and washed daily as do pillow slips, mattresses or any other surface like your couch, chair the boil could come in contact with needs to be sprayed daily with an antibacterial spray. Showers and tubs need to be sanitized after each use. Shower drains are the perfect place for the staph to multiple and become air born. I have been plagued with boils off and on for over a year. To keep the infection down I use ladies boxers and loose clothing. I also apply liquid antibacterial soap after my shower to a large area around the boil at first notice and let the soap dry on the skin, then apply a little antibacterial soap on a bandaid to cover it, this has kept the boils from enlarging, it speeds the healing process, just bathing in the soap does not help. When I was a child my mother used something called Green Soap on impetigo which is staph related and it was the only thing that cured it, but I have not seen it in pharmacies for years. Regular Antiboitics without steriods are virtually worthless."

RAW POTATO

[YEA] 03/24/2009: cynthia from fayetteville, AR writes: "I was just browsing through this site, I spend a lot of time doing that, and read the remedy posted about boils. As a child I frequently had boils. While at a family gathering an uncle took me into the kitchen to "fix me up" with a home remedy. He got a raw potato and a potato scraper. (as if to make hashbrowns) He then washed and scraped the entire potato into a clean, sterile bandage and taped it to my arm. I wore it all that day and through the night. Bt the next morning the boil had come to a head, and my mother drained and cleaned it. I had been plagued with boils many times prior to that and they were always painful and lasted several days before coming to a head. This one was over quickly and what a blessing! After that we used a raw potato any time one came up. I no longer have this problem. I seem to have grown out of it. I have given this remedy to friends and family members since then and it has been a success with them also. Hope it helps!"
Replies[YEA] 06/15/2009: Ryan from Palm Springs, CA replies: "POTATO!!! After getting a tattoo on my chest, I developed a rather painful pimple about 3 inches above my left nipple (probably from razor burn from shaving, ingrown hair, etc). I attempted to 'pop' it which was a bad idea. Over a few days...this horrid wretch grew into a furious monster of an infection...
I used antibiotic ointment and bandaids for a few days which did nothing, and the pimple seemed to grow in size and pain. I then tried toothpaste and a bandaid, which got solid and hurt bad taking off...revealing some gnarly green pasty pus. I squeezed some pus out of it and again that evening and also drenched it with peroxide every chance I got. I then read about the baking soda/peroxide mix paste...in which I applied several times over the next day and drained it every now and then (painful stuff). I also took baking soda baths.
After seeming to get nowhere, I read about the potato method. I purchased a single potato, cut off a slice, cleaned the infected area with peroxide and taped the potato slice to it for the night. Upon removing the potato in the morning, I noticed a big chunk of pus on it and the wound (almost the size of a dime) kept draining itself. Having to work, I cleaned it and put a bandaid on for the day.
Upon getting home and removing the bandaid, the 'head' of this abomination was right at the top and came out with some effort and Qtips and peroxide....what relief! Instead of a white hole, it is now a bloody red hole and its draining itself! Will update in a few days on healing.... THANK YOU!"

RECURRING BOILS

Actually, it is not so rare, it just goes undiagnosed because of the places it's in and ignorance of doctors. Please look it up and see if this is what you have. Unfortunately i could not find any cure, but the simple thing that helped me was not to touch it: no epilation, no underware (the friction brings them on). Also hot baked onion used locally makes the puss collect. Good luck"

REMEDIES FROM INDIA

[YEA] 01/24/2007: Rachel from Sydney, Australia writes: "Your turmeric remedy for boils was interesting. I wish to share some home remedies from India.
1. By applying the juice of garlic or onion on the boil to draw it out.
2. By applying turmeric powder.
3. By applying a cumin seed paste.
Diet: Well-balanced, vegetarian, yogurt, boiled food.
Avoid: White wheat flour, all meat, tea & coffee, oily, spicy & sour food.
A pinch of turmeric is taken with a glass of warm milk before bed to treat dry cough. I guess turmeric powder could be taken this way or added to vegetable soup when boiling to make it easier to consume."

REMEDIES NEEDED
10/13/2011: Mantics from Westchester, United States writes: "I have a boil on my nether regions... Sucks I know! Since garlic really helped with the ones in my armpit, it was my first choice... Bad choice! It burned the skin off the top of it and I've been trying to get it to heal for at least 3 days now and its not getting any better. I think that might be because the boil is still there so the skin wont heal. I've been putting turmeric mixed with baking soda, vitamin e oil, honey into a paste and putting a bandaid over it. Every morning it's just slimy like new skin isn't forming.
So, it's slimy and sore on top and a hard boil under it. I've also been doing the hot compress to try and bring it out but not working either. Should I concentrate on draining the boil first and then healing the skin? Or the other way around? And how?! Thanks for your time."
Replies10/13/2011: Jen from Bozeman, Mt, Us replies: "It sounds like you should definately let it breath a little. Slimy is not a good thing when it comes to bacterial infections. I am not sure where or how you can let it breath. But I would leave it uncovered for at least a few hours to an entire day. While you are letting it air out you should try drinking a "turmeric tea" with a teaspoon or two in hot water and drink with honey if you prefer. Then starting tomorrow put a paste of just a little castor oil and turmeric. I think less is more when it comes to such a sensitive area. You could also try a poultice instead of a paste which will keep it dry. Take a paper towel or cotton medical pad and put a few pinches of turmeric (if you have activated charcoal you can add a capsule or two to the poltice) and a little water or aloe in it to make the turmeric damp but not runny. Fold the towel into a little packet and tape it over the boil under your clothing. If you have a heating pad or heated rice bag place it on top of your clothing to heat up the area. This should draw the toxins out and also infuse the boil with turmeric."
10/13/2011: Goldtopsam from Arlington, Texas replies: "Although your intentions for natural healing are well meant, it sounds as though you are making it infected by applying herbs to damaged skin. Sounds like medical intervention is needed in your case. You really don't want to mess with an infection down there. Now, when you say nether regions, I don't know if it is on the head, the shaft, the scrotum or on the inside of one of the thighs, but at any rate if it is on any part of the genitals you want a doctor looking at that or you could cause a severe infection and damage and scarring to very sensitive tissue, possibly causing a recurring infection. Pack the goods up in some loose fitting boxers get on some loose fitting pants or shorts and get yourself over to an M. D. asap."
10/13/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Mantics, iodine (lugols) on the boil will enter through the skin and kill the bacteria. If it burns add some vitamin E oil as well). Iodine will kill most bacteria on contact."

07/20/2011: Mantics from Westchester, United States writes: "I have a huge quarter sized lump in my armpit. It is extremely painful. I can barely lift my arm up. I can't tell if this is a boil or a swollen lymph node. I read that boils have pus in them but this has no pus that I can see. Maybe it's deep in the skin. It started off as an small pus filled bump which I popped and then this lump started to appear with the bump on the edge of the lump. I don't know what it is. I've tried warm compresses but they really dont relieve the pain. The constant throbbing is getting annoying. Any advice??"
Replies07/20/2011: Fan B from Pasadena, California replies: "Try putting hot water in a bowl with some epsom salt and dissolving it. Take a wash cloth and get it saturated with the mixture, wring out just so its not dripping all over, and put the wash cloth under your arm where the pain is. Have the water as hot as you can, without burning yourself. Do this throughout the day as often as you can. It should draw out the infection pretty quickly. Use a cup or more of the eposum salt to a quart of water. Good luck!"
07/21/2011: Aj from Wild replies: "I did the warm epsom salt compress, then put some coconut oil on it, covered with a loose bandage and it drained just a few hours later, providing immediate pain relief!"
07/21/2011: Mantics from Westchester, United States replies: "Thanks for the advice I will definitely continue to do so. Another question is it odd that I don't see any pus yet. It has gotten slightly bigger and my skin just seems to be getting red from the pressure. Could this be because its is under my armpit and the skin there is a little thicker??"
07/22/2011: Gavin from Manganui, Northland, New Zealand replies: "It might be a lymph node and not a boil. If it turns black it will be an enlarged node. Most of the time they return to normal after a few days."
07/22/2011: Mantics from Westchester, United States replies: "Im pretty sure its not a lymph node. I mean its been about a week and hasnt gotten black and when I touch it, its soft at the top like pus is in there. I used some garlic yesterday and all it did was remove the top layer of skin. Hurt a lot but not unbearable. Then today I did baking soda mixed with sea salt for a few hours. I dont really see it doing much. It hurts a lot less but I dont know if thats baking soda or the benzocaine I used for the pain.Im wondering if at this point I should poke it since its much thinner than before. Im buying ACV later and will be trying that. But I have an important trip next week not to mention my job requires full movement of my arms at all times. I feel like I cant live! Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!"

[YEA] 01/11/2007: Carol from Dora, MS writes: "Husband got what looked like a pimple on his neck. By the next night it had gotten worrisome big. Went to your web site and found the sea salt cure. We dampened a wash cloth, poured some sea salt on it, and he held it on the boil for twenty minutes. It went down in just twenty minutes! We taped a cotton ball soaked in castor oil and dipped in the salt for three nights, and the thing is gone. Thank you so much Carol Ann"
