Banana skin cured a plantar wart on my toe. I soaked it in hot water every night for fifteen minutes, because I know that heat can kill viruses. Then I applied a small piece of banana peel with the inside against the wart, covered it with two bandaids and put on socks. In the morning, I removed it, showered, then covered the toe with a foam tube and wore socks to keep the tube on. Inside of a week, the wart went from entirely covering the end of my toe to the point where it was pushing up the toenail, to a pinpoint. I'm a skeptic, but I'm so impressed with this that I wrote about it in my blog here http://hawkhillacres.blogspot.com/2007/03/warts-and-all.html I really appreciate the info at this site and have told everyone I know about it. Thanks for all you've done to help people. Lill

My daughter went to a podiatrist for her warts on her feet, there was a visiting pre-med student from the Caribbean Islands, she said they got rid of Warts by putting a Banana Leaf (against the wart) with a copper penny on the banana leaf then tape over that, and the Wart will eventually fall off. Haven't tried, don't have any banana leaves.

If anyone is suffering from plantar warts, you must try this banana peel remedy. It is amazing how well it works while traditional treatments do not. My son is nine years old and had a painful plantars wart on his heel. I tried treating it myself with a freezing kit from the drup store. I also used salicylic acid. Neither treatment helped at all. In fact the wart grew even larger and even developed two more warts. At this point these warts were more painful than ever and my son could not walk on that heel at all. I then took him to podiatrist who used a scalpel to scrape the wart down until it bled. He then applied medicine. He sent us home with a prescription for Formaldehyde and said to apply every night. He told us to come back to his office every two weeks to have wart scraped until it goes away. After watching my son go through that I was in no hurry to go back, but what other choice did he have? I applied the Formaldehyde for five nights and the wart seemed to get worse and much more painful. I could not even touch it at this point. That is when I turned to the internet and found this website. I read about others success stories with the banana peel and decided to give it a try. I taped a piece on banana peel to his foot every night. After only two nights the pain went away. This was all the encouragement I needed to keep up with the treatment. It did take three weeks for the wart to completely heel and fall off. Keep in mind this was a very large wart and the root was very deep. My son and I are so happy I found this remedy. Everyone should try it. I can't hurt but will most likely help.

I found your site 4 months ago and felt excited at the easy method to cure warts. I had the annoying warts for about 2 years. But the total number has climbed to more than 20. According to the listed instruction, I took the peel secured on the warts with band-aid on it every night (for about 8 hours). After 4 days, the warts turned brown or even black. However, I found the warts were still black after practising this for one month. So I chose to quit at that time. Two months I decided to take on the remedy again but get the same result so far. Moreover, I found some new and small warts are turning out! I am not sure it's related to the banana remedy or the warmer weather here. I wonder anyone once has the similar problem and I need the help. Thank you!

My 7 year old daughter had 4 big planters warts on the bottom of her foot. We found your site and did the banana peel treatment on her foot overnight for a week and a half. After the first night we noticed resaults. Now all four of those nasty buggers are gone. There was no pain involved for my little girl. In the past for a regular wart on her knee. i took her into the doctors office for weekly visits for about three months along with treatments at home. She hated it and so did i she would cry and carry on how it hurt. So when i found this site we were all so happy and we had to try it. It's better then the alternative treatments and the money they cost. thank you so much

The Banana Peel remedy for warts really does work - take it from a skeptic. Being a skeptic doesn't always serve me, and I'm glad I tried the banana peel method. I followed the instructions exactly and used it on a wart that had been on my middle finger for over a year. Being the hard skeptic that I am, I was only mildly impressed when I saw the wart had diminished by 50% a week later and now is almost completely GONE 2 weeks later. I wore the banana peel over the wart for up to 5 hours per day (while sleeping) and on other days between 40 minutes and an hour. Not such a bad deal in terms of cost and convenience. Not to mention you can't get anymore NATURAL than that, and I'd take nature's remedies over processed chemical garbage ANY century in the millenia! Oh, did I mention that the wart is pretty much GONE? Just have to wear some banana skin for a couple of more hours! MAGIC!

UNBELIEVABLE! Banana peels really do cure warts! My 16 year old son has battled an ugly wart on the back of his hand for nearly two years. We've spent over $100 on doctor visits, prescriptions, and over-the-counter stuff, none of these things worked and after freezing the wart it came back bigger and in the form of a ring...UGLY . We started cutting a piece of banana peel put it on the wart and held it in place with a bandaid overnight, and after 1 month the ugly ring wart is flat and almost gone. I can't believe this really works...but it does!

Phlebitis: I tried Ted's lemon baking soda remedy, and it helped, but not a cure. My problem extends to my feet making it difficult walking , a catch 22 situation, exercise being part of the treatment. I have tried losing weight as well , but at( 60 yrs) 140lbs and 5ft4" I am not that over weight.

I have found it does help alot with gout and arthritis, as well as the arthritus diet has.

Interestingly, I was taking guaifenesin for a cough, and my feet felt much better , I wondered if it was a coincidence, but when I stopped taking it it was back within days! I looked guaifenesin up and it has interesting properties including possible , inhibition of platelet aggregation.

I have found it possible to buy as a tablet, and currently I am able to go back to pottering about in the vegatable garden again!

I would be interested in anybody elses experiences , and am just putting it out there in case it would help anybody else.

My daughter is 7 years old and had a very painful plantar wart on her foot. The doctor said to "wait it out or cut it out". After trying an OTC treatment a couple of times we were headed back to the doctor as the wart had continued to grow and another was starting. That's when I stumbled on this banana peel info and we thought we'd give it a shot. That was 13 days ago. We have been applying a small piece of banana peel almost every night (we missed a few) for about 2 weeks and today the wart fell off! It did turn black and was "very ugly" as my daughter said. I'm hoping that the thing is gone for good. But if it comes back we know what to do.

Banana Peel cured my warts and I saved around Rs3000/-, by applying banana peel. I consulted doctors, they did CRYO for 2 weeks, they asked me to come for next 3 weeks for the same treatment. I searched in this site and followed the procedure for 2 weeks.

step 1: Take a banana peel.
step 2: Wash your legs or hands (or where ever warts are there), make them dry.
step 3: Tie with banana peel so that inner part of banana peel touches Wart, tie it with a plaster or something so that even you sleep during nights banana peel wont move.
step 4: After 6 to 8 hours applying remove the peel off
step 5: wash that place.

This is the procedure I followed. Worked well. even for wart on my hand's middle finger. Thanks very very grateful to all those who helped me by sending this remedy.

I had a very large inflamed wart on the cuticle of my thumb for about 3 months. Surgical removal was not an option and I tried the OTC freezing remedy. 10 days after starting to wear a piece of banana peel secured with dressing tape the wart is flat, has turned blackish brown, is no longer painful and looks like it is about 3 days away from coming off completely. Amazing result.

I had a wart on my hand I wanted removed before my wedding. Every night before bed for about two weeks I would put a slice of banana peel on the wart and secured it with a band aid. I kept the banana peel in the freezer to keep it fresh, and would cut it as needed. During the day I let it air out. Within 2 weeks the wart turned brown and popped right off painlessly!

I am just curious to know if anyone tried this with genital warts, and if so, did it work?

I tried it on genital warts. They were all gone after 2.5 weeks. The key is to use peels from green bananas and to wear them almost the whole day. I wrote a long piece of my case on this site explaining everyting in detail.

Plantar Wart: A friend of mine told me to use the peeling on the wart as it I was rubbing it back and forth on a nightly basis. A couple of days (4-5), the neck of the wart pulled out, it looked black and it was gross, I let it expose to air and about the 8th day it had dried out and the wart was gone, It really works. P.S. I Love your site.

Thank you for your site. I read the bannana peel cure and didn't believe it, but thought it was worth a try. My daughter is a swimmer and swims 5 days a week has struggled with planters warts for 8 years. She has had them removed twice and one time it took her whole spring break to be able to walk as they were so deep and she had 5 cut out! She started getting them again and the doctor tried formaldehyde on them and they actually got worse. Next he recommended going to the hospital and having them both use a laser and cut them out. I decided to go online and see if there were any home treatments. She had 12-15 two weeks ago some in deep clusters. We sanded down her foot with a foot file and then put the ban nana peel on overnight. I ended up using Johnson & Johnson waterproof tape and a sock over that to hold it in place. The next day her foot had little black spots. We are still doing the treatment and we are on our 6th night, but only after 3 days, I believe they are all gone. Where the black dots were, several of those then had little holes with no evidence of a wart only clear skin. I'm going to keep doing this for another few nights and then make an appointment with the foot doctor to see what he says. I'm actually using a flashlight to see where the warts were. Sorry this is so long, my daughter and I are amazed at how this is working. We don't know why it works it just has.

I have seen drastic reduction in some rather large plantar's warts on the feet. Maybe too soon to open the champagne. I was wondering if the banana peels I cut in squares and used one or two bandaids to hold in place are supposed to turn the skin back to completely normal or if there's a residual little round scar for a while? I also didn't know whether the peels should be kept on constantly, because that does make the area moist and thus the wart area puckers up for awhile until peels are removed. Leslie
