Drinking DMSO for mental clarity following COVID and strokes

I have had two fascinating experiences with drinking 1 tsp of DMSO daily following a case of what some might think is or call "long COVID". My experience was such that I became very ill this past year for nearly two months. It was essentially pneumonia, but had a lot of other symptoms associated therewith that made it feel much worse than a lung problem. Thought I was going to die with this, but I managed to naturally cure myself.

I found myself mentally clouded and having terrible trouble with recall (I was normally exceptionally fast and higher end on the IQ range) which has been a death sentence for my work. After a lot of desperate trials of various things I stumbled upon oral DMSO consumption for brain damage patients.

I really didn't have much else to lose at this point due to my recall necessity, so I gave it a shot. I'm about a month in of taking 1 tsp of DMSO a day with about a glass of distilled water and I have been amazed at the results.

I believe I'm at about 90% of where I was before and perhaps, in some ways, better than prior to falling ill. I think my middle aged mind is closer to performance of about 15 years ago at this point. I'm not perfect in recall as I was, but I'm at about 90% as I said. The ways in which I'm better is that I'm feeling more alertness than I did before.

The next thing to report is that a loved one who has experienced brain damage from a series of strokes seems to be improving finally after being also desperate and trying many "medical" options. So far we've seen an improvement of about 10% of where they were and it seems as though this could go farther.

I am considering using 2 teaspoons per day as some have suggested - maybe spaced out prior to bed and in the morning - but I am still wanting to be on this protocol for a few months before taking it further.

Oral DMSO is nothing short of miraculous.

Etanercept

NEW BREAKTHROUGH TREATMENT.

I have some great news to share for anyone who has suffered a stroke or knows someone who's suffered a stroke. A drug called ETANERCEPT. Dr Tobernic (not sure of the spelling) at the Institute Of Neurological Recovery, Boca Raton, Florida. Tel; 561-353-9707 Has discovered that Etanercept when injected at the back of the neck can reverse ailments caused by stroke. The drug blocks build up in the brain (TMF). Once the drug is injected, it takes a few minutes to work and an improvement in congnition, motor function and pain rapidly returns to normal. This drug is originally intended for the treatment of chronic arthritis. The treatment without health insurance is around $6,000 plus. (I made the call) Also, this treatment has great effects on Alzheimer's patients.

Here is the link with video of the process and results. www.strokebreakthrough.com

I hope this will help many people who have suffered a stroke. They do say that 1 in 5 patients do not respond to treatment.

A phlebotomist recently exclaimed: 'My goodness! Are you taking blood-thinning medication?', to which I replied, 'No', but that I was taking 'natural blood thinners' instead. She looked at me with a confused stare. This is the NHS and conventional medicine for you. To protect against ischemic stroke I've incorporated into my daily life - One cup of green tea with a sprinkle of turmeric and black pepper Ginger incorporated into cooking Cinnamon incorporated into cooking Turmeric powder incorporated into cooking (large amounts aren't necessary) Nattokinase Dark chocolate (at least 70%, preferably 85%). At least a few pieces daily Vitamin K2 Raw garlic. A few cloves, peeled and chopped into tablet-sized pieces taken with water before a meal Stretching and being mindful of posture is important too. Emotional stress can manifest as reduced blood flow to the brain, so neck massage and exercise are important. I try to lay down flat on my bed every now and then without a pillow. Some people have their heads slouched forwards - this is a recipe for disaster. A final note - oral health is important. Gum disease can stiffen artery walls. Lemongrass essential oil works for gum disease (see scientific literature). Nature has the answer already but big pharma doesn't want you to know.

Hi there, magnesium will make your bowels move. Some people can only take one magnesium pill. I have to take two. I have constipation if I do not take it. You need to look up the importance of magnesium in the body. Very important supliment. Did you know that when a person is having a stroke. If the dr will give the patient a magnesium drip all symptoms will go away. I am living proof of this.

A friend of mine had a transient ischemic attack which is a precursor to a stroke. He was prescribed a blood thinner. However, an herbalist directed him to nattokinase which is an enzyme from the japanese food natto. It is a potent fibrinolytic which means that it dissolves the fiber which makes the blood thick rather than thinning the blood. Coq10, also known as vitamin q, is necessary for a healthy heart. Four years later, no more tia's.

WARNING!

I would really like to give you some background information on strokes. Briefly, there are two basic types. One is obstruction leading to lack of oxygen to brain nerve tissue like a blood clot blocking flow. The other is physical compression of nerve tissue from any source (tumor, trauma, expanding blood vessel, or leaking blood vessel). Actually each of these has varying manifestations and roughly can be very short lived (transient ischemic attack), of moderate duration (reversible ischemic neurologic disorder), or full blown stroke. Anyway, the bottom line is how long is the nerve tissue compromised? If short time, you will get total recovery. Moderate amount usually the same. But there if a critical period of time passes without cellular assistance, permanent damage occurs. Honestly, accurate diagnosis of the cause is so important to determining exactly what is the best way to save the brain. Minutes count. I can only guess the strokes described in this article were TIAs or RINDs. They do have the potential for quick reverse.....either spontaneously or assisted by this acupuncture technique. But if your loved one has the third type and you delay hospital transfer, you may be sealing their fate for permanent neurological damage. There is so much more to say, but I wanted to give you additional insight in case you are faced with this event in a loved one and don't know what to do...

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Mama To Many (Tennessee) on 11/27/2014

Dear Mich,

It seems like you have little to lose and much to gain by trying Apple Cider Vinegar.

You say you can walk with difficulty. Do you get physical therapy now? It seems that the more you exercise your muscles the stronger they will be.

I am also wondering about using some thing like peppermint essential oil, massaged into muscles. Peppermint oil is stimulated and healing and so is massage. If you decide to try it, I would use a ratio of 1 teaspoon Peppermint Essential Oil in 1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil massaged into affected muscles once or twice a day.

I would also look in to cayenne pepper taken internally. Even just sprinkling some on your food each day would be good.

I hope you will find something that will help you to improve. Let us know how it goes for you.

Patricia, forgive me, this is a late response to your question about your husband and ACV dosages. Dosage wise, whatever he can tolerate. At least once in AM and once before bedtime, 1T in 4 or more ounces of water, you don't want it too weak or strong/sour. And pay attention to how the person being administered the ACV feels! Other folks may have some other observances they may want to share here too!

My health was declining and substantial weight gain ( untreated border Hypothyroid 1991) and cluminated in stroke early 2006 at age 54, week in hospital at time of stroke my BP was 260/160, cholesterol 330, and high homocysteine. I started coconut oil this fall, mostly to increase energy but hoping it would help my sluggish metabolism to aid weight loss which has been erratic. I have had SAD each winter and this winter no sign of it, my energy is up but no significant weight loss. I'm on 4 meds so can't be sure the oil lowered cholesterol but it dropped another 92 pts since April testing to 101 total. My research showed that i must keep my total under 150 in order to start reversing the blockage I have in subclavian artery. My Cardiologist is amazed that I'm not dizzy or fainting b/c of my blockage being severe he said. I'm trying to ward off a stent and angioplasty. I must reduce my weight by 40 lbs before Dr will allow weaning off Plavix, Zocor, Benicar HCT and FLTX. I was started on 40 mg Benicar HCT the DAY BEFORE I stroked my dr allow me to reduce dosage if my BP is below 100, I have a BP cuff at home. Using it daily I have been able to cut back the Benicar to 1/4 Tablet. I want off all these pills within another year. I do believe I have improved my health with diet changes, exercise and reducing stress but as I said, dr's want to SEE proof of my changes via WEIGHT loss

Green Smoothies

Green smoothie for stroke patients.

My friend in his 80s had a severe stroke which put him in ICU for more than 4 months. Amazingly he pulled out of it, (multiple infections, organ failure etc.) Out of ICU, finally able to take outside food, I started making him this basic green smoothie.

With paralysis on his right side, arm & leg he needs to be in a wheelchair. The general view by the Drs.is that the progress you make after 6 months is generally what you're stuck with... However he continues to surprise the the therapist & dr's, so much so that on his last visit a group of therapists and doctors formed around him, amazed at his results. They rarely if at all see this sort of improvement in that age group.

He has a great positive will, which is most likely the main factor, however I like to think (no science here) that my smoothies helped. Reading that Apigenin, abundant in Parsley, is good for brain, neuron connections it became one of the main ingredients. A simple recipe, aided in flavor (very important) with a pack of Vega Sport protein powder.. no endorsement, just really like the flavor and keeping the drink vegetarian. The other two greens, Dandelion & Watercress, are known to be the most nutritionally dense greens.. so very simply...

Smoothie Recipe

2 cups water
1 bunch dandelions. (organic preferred)
1 bunch watercress (hard to get organic, but soak in vinegar for few minutes, rinse)
1 bunch of parsley (organic preferred)
A packet of this Vega Sports Protein powder..Vanilla. (google search)
A large dollop (2 tbsp) of Tahini..
Cinnamon... and a banana perhaps for extra flavor.. could even throw in some blueberries.

I blended it all up in my Blendtec blender.. about a minute.. Voila. The protein powder is necessary to make it palatable.. otherwise not great tasting. He loved them and especially good at the start when his swallowing reflex was poor.

Magnesium Oil
Posted by Jen (Australia) on 01/24/2018

What a good friend you are :)

I also have/ had severe nerve pain through a lot of my body. After a couple of years of western medical pain docs, I realised that all they do is try to cover up the pain with toxic life long meds, or a nerve block that made it worse. So I sacked them, and being a medical researcher I researched! By research, opiates are actually the best thing for nerve pain...

The best things have been Mg Oil, and moreso DMSO (I can't believe this is so little known, thanks to the FDA suppressing it for decades - see youtube Dr Stanley Jacobs DMSO 60 minutes). You do need to research how to use and buy quality stuff, probably in glass bottles only. I take it orally and topically, I would IV it if I could, but Australia has sold out to FDA/ BigPharma and now you can't even get DMSO without a script (and since docs don't know about it or have sold out to BigPharma, that can be difficult). It can take many months for overall effect, although some it helps straight away. I took oral MSM initially (the other form of DMSO), but no help after one year for nerve pain, but it does help some people. Mixing DMSO and Mg Oil together would be interesting although could irritate skin without necessary dilution, but it might help improve penetration in the body. I found also need to keep up sunshine and B12, walking in the sun if I could. My pain is now about 3/4 reduced after 18 months (the docs told me it would never go away or reduce). I recently read that when most people start supplementing Mg Oil they don't take enough, need to start on at least 1 oz per day all over body. Best of luck!

In reply to Jb (Atlanta, Ga),

Yes, xylitol is definitely bad for dogs, so if there is a chance that your dog might lick it off of your body, leave it out. The xylitol was only there to help moisturize the skin along with the glycerin because they have synergy together and together they have anti inflammatory properties. The glycerin will have moisturizing qualities by itself.

I am not certain that long term application of mag oil will be drying to the skin, it was only a precautionary measure and I would remain more concerned about trying to alleviate post-stroke nerve related pain.I can always use almost any lotion to do the same and not have to be concerned about whether my dog might lick it off of me.

GABA

20 years ago, my father had stroke when he was 69 y/o. Being heavy smoker, first three weeks in hospital were very difficult, he was blind, not able to move/talk, having crisis on 7th, 14th, 21st day after stroke incident. Days in between, he would be smoking, (Bosnia in the 90s, patient could smoke in the hospital) it was really a battle to get him off.

Things gotten really bad, family thought we lost him. The most amazing thing, friends recommended to take Russian pills Aminalon 2x 250mg with each meal, so 3 times a day. We were told, as much as he recovers in next 18 months will be the best he can ever get. To my amazement, 2 months after the stroke, he was released from hospital, able to move, but having difficulties with orientation. He wouldn't know the way around, not knowing where kitchen or bedroom is. He did stop smoking, but kept taking Aminalon like religious thing. 6 months later, he was able to go to the city downtown by himself, not getting lost, finding way back to the apartment.

I lived with him for the first 1.5 years. After that, he was on his own, and lived for 12 years in great health after the stroke. He was active till the last day, he died in his sleep.

When I looked up Aminalon, I discovered it's called GABA here in the west, but never heard anyone suggesting for stroke patients. Back home, it's been known to help recover brain function and memory. One year after stroke, 50 y/o actor was able to get back to theater, memorizing script better than any young guy, thanks to Aminalon aka GABA.

Wish all the best, hope for Ted's recovery.

Ted's Remedies

Hello Litsa,

Concerning your mother's stroke and continued worsening condition:

The stroke is likely a tiny clot which broke from the veins or arteries and was small enough to go through the heart and into the brain where it lodged. Most folks who are subject to strokes are equally subject to the same thing in repeated form...the small clots. So it could be that the mini strokes have continued.

First, attack the underlying cause. I've just written two posts you can find on the cholesterol issue on this very subject. Using Vitamin E (natural) and CoQ10 and Dr. Mercola highly suggests the derivative of CoQ10, ubiquinol to stave off clotting issues.

Second, the E will also give your mother strength because it assists in oxygen delivery.

Third, I'd be on four caps of Cal AEP daily to overcome the damage done by the brain blockage. See a great article on AEP: Google, "Calcium AEP nutrition review"...

Fourth, I'd be on two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a large glass of water daily.

Fifth, for more oxygen delivery I'd consider Hydrogen Peroxide. Look in the EC directory at "remedies" and findd HP to see how to take it.

Those are the key things I'd do if this were me. I treated my own parents for similar problems. Neither died from cardio issues.

It is full of nutrients and high in Vitamin C as well. I buy organic cayenne from the health food store. There are some good books on cayenne available. Cheers Deb

Chinese Needle Method
Posted by Trish (Kansas City, MO) on 07/05/2008

I went to the link provided by Penny, regarding the warning on the Chinese Needle Method for stroke victims. The author was kind of poking fun at the pulling of the ears to fill them with blood. I know nothing about bloodletting, but I do know that everytime I've gone to see my chiropractor, who also happens to do accupuncture and energy healing as well, she always gives my ears a pretty rough 'massage' and pulls down on them pretty hard until they're quite red and hot. I think she said it stimulates the colon, especially good before a colonic, as well as other organs (similar to oil-pulling in relation to the tongue and reflexology in relation to the feet). The author of the article was stating that it sounds more like torture than anything. I will say that it's a little uncomfortable for a minute or so but it definitely helps me to feel more energetic and balanced and as I said before is great before getting a colonic. Sorry, this comment isn't really of any help to the Chinese Needle Method but thought I would comment on that 'warning' link. Maybe someone should try to track down the school where this incident is said to have happened and see if there is any documented proof, or at least someone who can veryify or deny the incident.

EC: Thanks, Trish.

Apparently this "needle method for strokes' email has been passed around the internet since 2003. Here it is on the Snopes website: http://www.snopes.com/medical/disease/stroke.asp

Hi Ted,

I truly hope you have a speedy recovery. I have been following your ailment solution and find them interesting. Lately I am trying out your suggestion on viral infection. Will let you know the outcome once I complete the regiment you suggested.

The main purposed I want to share with you is a Chinese traditional therapy which maybe helpful for your condition. The therapy is called blood-letting, which is even earlier than acupuncture.

Last year I came to know a lady in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia who practises this therapy. I noticed many of her patients comes from as far as Singapore to get treatment from her and many of them are stroke victims to regained back part of their mobility. I did not meet any of the recovered patients to confirmed its authenticity, but by the fact that her clinic is always full due to referral does speak volume.

About Sept2014, my sister suffered Bell Patsy. She was hospitalized after 48 hours, outside the window for good recovery. Only in Mid November 2014, I finally managed to get an appointment with this lady for my sister first treatment. After about 6 months and 6 treatment. She face returned to normal without western medication. In fact in the first two session, already there was noticeable improvement in her facial features. If it done earlier the improvement will be faster with lesser session. Attached below her result.

As I understand there are number of blood-letting therapist. Find a good one that do it right.
