After reading posts on ACV for skin tags and the success of so many I decided to give it a try. Soaked a small gauze with ACV and held it in place with a bandaid. Just wore it thru the day. I removed the bandaid to shower the same evening and to my surprise and delight, the skintag was gone!! Probably 12 hours and it's history. I used Organic ACV. No burning, no discomfort, but wonderful results.

I've had two anal skin tags for several years that were recently getting bigger, one getting longer and the other getting thicker and longer - it was almost like a biggish, round, hard ball at one point. The thicker one was getting so big, I could at times feel it when I was walking, which was a bit scary, to say the least. More were also appearing around the same location (seemed like all of a sudden).

After reading about people's experiences on this site and trying several of the remedies, what has been most successful for me, is apple cider vinegar (with the mother). After trying several different methods, I discovered that filling a cylindrical clear top with acv, e.g. top of hair smoother pump bottle, and holding that over the skin tags allowed them to soak in the Apple Cider Vinegar (which worked better than Qtip or cotton balls). I started doing this 2 times a day for about 5-7 mins. I put vaseline around the area first. They started to immediately get smaller. After a week or so, I also started to drink about 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of acv, diluted in a glass of water, once a day. Occasionally I missed a day with my 'treatment' but it didn't seem to set it back at all. It's now about 10-12 days later and the difference is huge. The two are so much smaller and the ones that had started to develop have just disappeared and the surrounding skin looks normal again. I'll keep up with the treatment obviously, which has had fantastic results. I have had no real discomfort - just have to use the vaseline and I feel so much better! The area looks so much more normal now - amazing to see the develping ones disappear. I tried iodine and tea tree oil, but never really saw any noticeable improvement. Thank you so much to all the people who contributed to this site - your help has been life changing!!

Everyone's body reacts differently to different remedies and I'm happy my body responded positively to apple cider vinegar. My skin tag dried up within a week and I was able to pull it off. I believe if I had been consistent, it would have dried sooner. I soaked the little pad of a band-aid and wore it overnight. if I get anymore that bother me I will definitely use ACV again.

first time poster. I used ACV to remove a minuscule skin tag that was on my scrotum. I've had it for years, and I only recently thought about removing it.

So I soaked a cotton ball with Braggs ACV and taped it over the skin tag over night. I may think I applied far too much.

the next day the skin tag was practically gone, but unaffected areas on my scrotum turned black, under the skin. I think I severely burned parts of my penis. Healthy skin is now a black color. Is this permenant? I immediately started to apply neosporin, and have been for the last two days (these burns only showed up yesterday). Haven't noticed much improvement.

The irony is, these black burn marks are very noticible, compared to the skin tag which was the size of a pin-head. Did I permanently damage healthy skin? What should I do besides use neosporin? It really does look like the burns aren't on the surface, they look like they're below a layer of skin. They're not all together, sort of spread out with reddish irritation on the skin between burns.

its only been one full day since I noticed the burns and two since removing the skin tag.

Any responses would help. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the ACV was pressed up against very delicate skin for way too long. ACV on a q-tip for a few minutes would have been better. The skin will heal, but you could help it along with some soothing, healing Castor Oil. Rub a small drop or two on the area 2x/day and you should be feeling better soon. Good luck!

I would like to encourage you. I burned my hand last week and I'm using a drop of lugol's iodine on it at bedtime. It has an ugly scab on it and is red all around it. You have an acid burn from the vinegar. Keep any infection at bay and have faith your body will eventually replace your entire skin surface with a new one . The under layer may need some collagen type things. Like horsetail for silica, gelatin, msm, vitamin c and other things for youthful skin. Vit D with k2 and vitamin A and E to you, love, Charity

For a fast and easy solution, pick up some apple cider vinegar from your local supermarket. You should have no trouble finding it, because it is a common cooking ingredient. In fact, if you Google the words apple cider vinegar, you will find that there are thousands of results relating to home remedies of all shapes and sizes apple cider vinegar is extremely versatile.

It works for getting rid of skin tags because it is so acidic. However, this does mean that it should never be used to eradicate skin tags on or around the eyes. For effective removal, all you have to do is carefully clean the area in question just do this as you usually would, with a mix of mild soap and water.

Once completely dry, dab a cotton ball in a small bowl of apple cider vinegar. Use your fingertips to squeeze out the excess liquid and then hold the cotton ball firm against the skin tag. You need to keep it there for approximately 10-15 minutes, so it could be useful to stick it to the skin with a bandage or plaster and then get on with another task.

To start getting rid of skin tags on your body, you need to do this three times every day for a 1-2 weeks (or until you can see the bit of skin start to darken in color, shrivel, and then fall off. There should be no pain involved with this home remedy, but if you do have any small cuts or scratches around the area which you are treating, you might find that the apple cider vinegar stings a little.

I had this problem in the past and I want to share some of my experiences.

All the best, Andrew

I've had what I can only assume to be an anal skin tag/sentinel tag for a few years now. it started off small, but gradually got bigger and I'm certain it's due to struggling to pass stool, so the skin stretched and never stretched back, leaving a hanging skin tag at the top of my anus.

Its not painful at all, has never been sore but it bothers me what it looks like down there!

I would never consider surgery and I'm far too scared to try anything like cutting it off or tying it off with thread or floss just in case it complicates and becomes worse, so I'm trying the apple cider vinegar method.

Day 1: I got a cotton wool pad and soaked in apple cider vinegar. I squeeze out excess and folded in half, small enough to fit over my anal tag.

I got a second clean, dry cotton wool pad and secured it over the top of the first. I then stuck it on with medical tape and kept it there for 1 hour.

I removed the apple cider pads every time I went to the toilet and re applied them. After 3-4 hours it started to sting a little which is when I took it off.

Results: I have not yet noticed any results but I am planning on repeating this process (maybe prolonging the tags exposure to the vinegar) everyday until I get results.

I will keep you updated! Wish me luck.

UPDATE so, I applied the apple cider vinegar pads again, for the THIRD time yesterday and it burnt like CRAZY. I read that when it was burning it was working, so I sat uncomfortably for another 2 hours which were agony.

Day 2: I had a look at me behind and noticed a complete disaster. my tag wasn't white, black, shrunk or anything like I'd been expecting it to be - just bright red, swollen and very angry. all the skin around my anus has been BURNT by the apple cider vinegar which is complete pain, its scabby and dry. surprisingly the the tag itself doesn't hurt so much when I touch it, it's soft fleshy skin, not burnt.

I'm slightly confused? I am giving it a rest for today and will have a bath to soften the dried out and sore skin the ACV seems to have given a chemical burn to. I have a feeling I'm going to abandon this remedy and opt for another that I have seen on a different forum: Silicone Scar Gel.

I have had this skin tag on my underarm for years. I thought I was stuck with it. It was bothersome because of shaving. Well I nicked it a couple days ago and decided to make an appointment to get it removed. But then had a thought to look on earth clinic. I tried ACV with much skepticism last night. I soaked gauze in ACV for about 20 minutes. and again this morning. A little while ago I peeked at it. It was black and shriveled. I touched it , it rubbed right off!! I am a believer!! ACV is slightly irritating, not too much. I won't be needing that appointment!!

Hi, I came across this site and can't tell you how excited I am I tried the apple cider vinegar for removal of a skin tag I had under my arm for YEARS. I hated it and wanted to try another method other than snipping it off. I used regular Apple Cider Vinegar from the store - nothing special. It took mine just under 2 weeks to work. I wet a cotton ball with the vinegar and held it under my arm for about 5 minutes 3x a day. After a couple of days, the tag would turn white right after applying vinegar and then would be deep red. The stuff just disintegrates them - sometimes would sting a little, but not bad. Slowly parts of it turned black. At the end, it had shrunk and turned black and then one day I just pulled it off. So easy! Wish I'd done it long ago. It works!!!!!

Oh My Gosh!!! All of my co-workers called me crazy!! Or cheap because I was trying this. First maybe I am cheap but I would much rather spend my $25.00 co-pay on a cute pair of wedges.... Ever since I turned 40 a few months ago it seems like about four of those hideous things just popped up over night!! I was so embarrassed by them. Let me just say I only did a test run on just one that was located right above my collar bone and I have only been doing it for one and a half days. I put the ACV on a cotton ball and kept it in place with a band-aid once in the morning and one time last night before bed, I put fresh on on this morning, and that sucker is almost gone. I figure maybe another day and a half and no more ugly!!! I a a true believer in this method!!!!

I want to share my story. I had that skin tag on my eyelid for the last five years. Use to annoy me a lot because I could never put eyeliner straight. So after reading here on this website I started pressing and kind of squeezing the bottom of skin tag where it was on my eyelid for a week then I put apple cider vinegar for maximum five times carefully not getting into my eye and voila it came off itself.. Am so pleased and amazed.. This site is truly amazing and people who taking their time out to help others.. Thank you so much everybody.

I think what I had was a skin tag! The tag was on my back and I could only see it by holding a hand mirror above sholder level and viewing my back in the bathroom mirror. The tag was in the middle of my back, slightly to right (or to the left looking in the mirror! ). It had been there some time, and I paid it little attention. However, as it grew, I could feel it when leaning back in my office chair. It had grown to about the size and shape of a No2 Pencil eraser.

Fortunately, I could just reach it by extending my left arm over my right sholder, and so I taped a cotton ball soaked in ACV over it each night before going to bed. I did this every night for about sixty days (two - thirty band aids - packs) by which time the tag dissolved, leaving just a small spot about the size of a freckle or mole.

I learned early on to sleep on a towel as the Apple Cider Vinegar stained my sheets when I rolled over on my back during sleep. Marvelous stuff this ACV!

Let me start off by saying that I don't usually look to home remedies and don't necessarily believe in all of them. Apple cider vinegar, however, has me totally convinced. Those who are looking for a skin tag remedy, look no more! After reading hundreds of posts on how to get rid of a skin tag without cutting it, I decided to go with the apple cider vinegar method.

Before I actually used the ACV, I played around with the skin tag for a bit, twisting it often. Eventually, the tip of the skin tag turned a little bit black. This was when I decided I really wanted to remove it. So, I took a cotton ball and applied some ACV on it (without diluting it), placed it on the skin tag, and covered it with a bandage. I slept with it on for the first night. After removing it, I began to see the skin tag turning gray. During the day, I covered it with a band-aid. The second day, I only applied the ACV for a few hours since it was irritating my skin. I took a day off from the ACV and applied it the following day for a few hours. During the times the ACV was not on my skin tag, I covered it with a band-aid. Eventually, the skin tag turned completely black and dry and it just fell off! No pain (except soreness from twisting it and the acidity from the ACV which lasts only a second)!

In all, it took me about one week for the skin tag to completely fall off.

ME TOO... I have been doing the ACV for 2 moles. Yesterday morning the first one just fell off. I applied it twice a day for 4 days. The other one is much bigger so I know it will take longer... BUT, I am such a believer now. I am a holey moley mess... But not for long. I figure 2 per week should be fine.

Hello, I have a question. When you are talking Apple Cider Vinegar, are you talking about the kind in grocery stores, 5% acidity? Or a special stronger kind?

Another YEA for ACV.... I had a very small skin tag on my neck - about the size of a grain of rice, if it was even that big.... It itched at times, and just knowing it was there made me a little nuts. I put some ACV w/the Mother on a cotton ball, covered it with a Band-Aid overnight and the next day the tag had turned dark but was still attached. It's been a couple of days and just now I realized the skin tag is gone! I can see the spot, still, where it was.... It's just a bit red, but the fact that it's gone makes me a happy kid!! EC is such a great forum for sharing ideas, I can't imagine not being able to tap the information offered here! Thanks to all who share.... Thanks to all who administer this site!

Does an anal skin tag turn white before it turns black (using ACV)?

Did you ever get an answer? Do anal skin tags turn grey/white before they turn blackish and fall off?

I have read on here so many great things about ACV! I want to explain how ACV worked for me for my skin tags. I have always had small skin tags on my neck and some around the thin skin at my ribs. Lately I noticed a cluster of about 6 tags on the left side of my neck just above my collar bone. Tags have never really bugged me, but this area sort of stuck out and my husband noticed it after I did and kinda wrinkled his nose at them. I remembered reading on here how people wrote how they would apply the ACV three times a day and some had some success, some didn't. I personally don't have the time or memory to make sure I did it throughout the day, plus my clothes would be in the way and wipe it away. So, I tried something different. Two nights ago I purchased large square bandaids. I used organic ACV and two cotton balls. I shook the ACV very well and dabbed the cotton balls and placed them in the center of the bandaide and placed it over the group of tags on my neck and went to bed. In the morning in the shower the bandaide came off without a fight. The first morning I noticed the tags getting darker. I have done this only FOR TWO NIGHTS, this morning in the shower I rubbed my neck just a little with my scrubby. I looked in the mirror and 3 OF THE TAGS WERE GONE! By the way, in this same area is a small mole, it has not been affected at all, only the tags. My skin is only slightly pink for about 30 minutes and then normal. I will continue this for another couple days till this area is clean, then move to the tags on my ribs. I will post again, i'm sure with further success!
