Comfrey
Brian posted 14 years ago and it is likely won't see this message and respond.
I use comfrey often so I thought I would chime in here.
I do use the fresh leaves but also used it dried and find it effective. Perhaps not as effective as fresh, but you use what you have! Because the powder is much more concentrated, I think 1 teaspoon would equal one leaf.
Please also consider charcoal. In the Charcoal Remedies book I have, there is a story of someone using charcoal poultices effectively for kidney disease. I have used many charcoal poultices over the years. They draw out toxins and reduce inflammation. Here is how to make one. You would place it over the kidney area; overnight would be a good time to do so.

I was able to read through this site and see advice that Ted gave to others.
https://ted.earthclinic.com/cures/kidney_disease.html
Based on my own research I can say that Ted is more than brilliant. I am certain that his advice has helped me and many others. The doctors do not know how to heal kidneys. Its a very difficult task, but doing the right things certainly help. I had no time to waste with this either.

I believe people use cooked/canned asparagus. I think the coke is to help get it down.
You could try eating a large helping of cooked asparagus or even okra daily. Both have a sliminess to them that I believe is what helps.
My husband use limes and lots of alfalfa tablets for kidney stones with success.

I am a New Zealander living in Kentucky USA..as a child my Mum(part Maori) always added a few leaves of Comfrey into the cabbage etc,she also told me when I had babies to add a leaf or two into my babies vegetables, and I always did that.
Over my life I have ALWAYS grown Comfrey in my garden,it makes a wonderful tea for the garden plants, and my Mum would use it in her compost. The common name for Comfrey is Knitbone..because it knits together,it is an ancient herb.Unfortunately withing the last 20years some silly persons have over indulged (They must have drunk buckets of Comfrey tea) consequently comfrey has been labelled now.
I believe EVERYTHING in moderation..I have heard of someone dyeing from drinking too much water..if you understand what I mean.
Since living in Kentucky a long way from my Homeland, I have been able to buy a Comfrey plant, and my Comfrey is my treasure, I make a tea from her..I can gargle with the tea..I can add honey and a little ginger powder if I had a cold or flu..comfrey is great for the lungs..bladder etc.
Comfrey leaf if crushed (roll the rolling pin over to crush stalk) and put on a cut with gauze, and wrapped in plastic wrap, within 24hours cut will be sealed, do the same thing for bruising, grazing etc.. back in New Zealand many of the horse trainers use Comfrey for their horses legs when hurt.. Comfrey can also be dried out in the sun and kept air tight to use throughout the Winter..hope you are all healed now Brian.

Hi Tina,
Yes my daughter was crippled with pain when reducing steroids, her doctors always seemed very surprised by this. I am a biochemist and through research, I came to the conclusion she was suffering from osteomalacia (sort of adult rickets) brought on by loss of vit D3, caused by the massive doses of steroids used for Nephrotic Syndrome, I gave her 5000 iu of vit D3 along with the necessary co factors, ( Magnesium Vit b2 and vit K2, and after 24 hrs she already felt relief, all pain was gone in 5 days. Tina I am so sorry you are suffering from this terrible illness, and because it is uncommon no one understands what you are going through, the treatment causes as much suffering as the disease. my daughters teachers seemed to think she had cystitis and that I was making a fuss over nothing. She still has her vit D3 as it is still too early to make much vit d3 from the sun. Shes had no side effects (actually her eczema and hay fever disappeared) but that's a good side effect. I am sort of embarrassed writing this because as a scientist this all seems too good to be true. I am currently reading every bit of research I can find on Vit D3 . I hope you can get into permanent remission soon.

So sorry you are having the dreaded cramps, yes my daughter had this, it's very common, The problem is that with Nephrotic Syndrome when you lose the albumin through the kidneys it is carrying all sorts of valuable substances as its known as a molecular taxis. So you can lose all sorts minerals, hormones, fatty acids even drugs. So you can become depleted very quickly in many things. The best thing for the cramps is Magnesium, in fact its difficult to keep potassium in your cells with out it. Unfortunately with today's farming techniques ( artificial fertiliser, etc ) its difficult to replenish the lost minerals through food alone, I use a coloured sea salt that hasn't had the associated minerals removed, I also gave extra magnesium, zinc, copper and selenium as I felt that they were particularly lacking in modern foods. I also tried to give her the best diet possible. I had one mom tell me when her son is weaning off the nephrotic levels of steroids, that he has to use a wheel chair, because of the pain and muscle problems.

Kidney beans pods water must be freshly made and consumed within 24 hours otherwise it will cause diarrhea. Only the pods of the kidney bean were used as the kidney bean were not useful for kidney and bladder problem.
To prepare the kidney pod, boil 2 ounces of the pods slowly in 4 quarts of hot water for 4 hours. When the pods is ready, filter the solution through a fine muslin slowly and carefully and leave it in a cool place for 8 hours. After 8 hours filter the solution through muslin slowly and carefully again as too much fibers in the solution can cause intestinal upset. The solution is ready now.
Other foods that are useful for kidney, bladder and urinary problems are asparagus, beet roots, black eyed peas hulls, carrots, cherry juice, cornsilk teas, cranberries, garlic, onions, parsley, radishes, sage tea and water melon.

Often bacterial in origin or the body has an infection.
1. Alkalize (raise immunity and reduce bacteria): Drink two tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 a cup of water twice a day (morning and night) on an empty stomach for four to five days a week. Or two to eight teaspoons lime or lemon juice plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 cup of water twice a day. You can alternate between these two formulas.
2. Zinc: Take 50 mg of zinc gluconate per week.
3. Magnesium: Take 250 mg of magnesium citrate five days out of the week -- increases the body's defenses against bacteria, thus reducing the high protein in the kidneys.
4. Sea Salt: Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in one liter of water and drink throughout the day -- will raise the salinity of the urine somewhat and the antibiotic effect of the salt will reduce the bacteria thus reducing the protein buildup in the urine.
5. Oil Pulling: See here https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/oil_pulling.html
6. Lecithin Granules: One tablespoon lecithin in a cup of water one to three times a day, 30 minutes before eating -- reduces excess fatty liver and reduces the liver's congestion.
7. Clove Oil: Mix one drop of clove oil in one liter of water and drink through the day - kills the bacterium in the liver, thus reducing the high protein in the kidneys.
*For cloudy urine, taking a vitamin B complex for a couple of days may help clear it up and reduce the protein buildup.
*Also discontinue drinking carbonated beverages

If the colloidal silver you are using is not capped, the borax will cause it to agglomerate which will cause the silver to form into larger particles which are just about useless in terms of antibacterial and antiviral activity.
Add borax to a small amount of colloidal silver that you have and stir it well. If the CS changes color in any way, it is not capped.

Asparagus Extract
★★★★★
From the Book: Miracle Medicine Foods, p. 88. 1977 – Rex Adams
Asparagus contains a large amount of a therapeutically active substance called “asparagin”, which is reportedly of great benefit in cases of kidney dysfunction. It has been said that the juice of this vegetable helps the breaking up of oxalic acid crystals in the kidneys and throughout the muscular system, and is good for rheumatism and neuritis (neuropathy).
Reported Cases:
One woman reports that asparagus therapy cured her kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 30 operations for kidney stones and was receiving government disability payments for "a terminal kidney condition—inoperable." She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus therapy. (Note the Dates)
A 68-year-old businessman had suffered from bladder trouble for sixteen years. After years of medical treatments, including cobalt radiation, without improvement, he went on asparagus. Within three months hospital examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal. Today he seems as healthy as before the disease started.
A biochemist who studied these cases says: I was not surprised at (these results), as a book, The Elements of Materia Medica, edited in 1854 by a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, states that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even refers to experiments made in 1739 on the power of asparagus to dissolve urinary stones… Asparagus contains a good supply of proteins called 'histones' which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth.. (and) acts as a general body tonic.
This biochemist recommends cooked asparagus, blended or pureed, four tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening (diluted with water, if desired, and used as a cold or hot drink). Used this way, he says, it is a harmless substance.
Glandular Therapy
Also I recommend drinking distilled water along with one cup of pure cranberry juice a day to avoid bacterial kidney infections and to promote kidney health in general. For some specific kidney disorder you need to state exactly what is wrong with your kidneys....Oscar
Alkalize
When ingested, sodium bicarbonate impacts the body primarily by acting as a buffer to neutralize acidity. In the stomach, it raises the pH level to relieve heartburn or indigestion, though the resulting gas production can cause discomfort. In the bloodstream and muscles, it helps combat acid buildup during intense exercise, potentially delaying muscle fatigue and improving performance, but it is high in sodium, with just half a teaspoon containing about 630 mg of sodium.
The body naturally manages carbon dioxide and bicarbonate levels through a complex buffering system that maintains blood pH balance, where carbon dioxide is eventually expelled through the lungs. While plain carbonated water is acidic (pH 5–6) due to dissolved carbon dioxide forming carbonic acid, sodium bicarbonate itself is alkaline and raises pH rather than lowering it. Excessive consumption can lead to side effects like bloating, gas, and high sodium intake, which may affect blood pressure or interact with certain medications.
