Just to let everyone know, approx 1 1/2 years ago it was announced that they found the genetic defect for Alopecia Areata and it has 21 markers. It doesn't look like there's going to be any cure found anytime soon. It's sad b/c I have that defect even though my sisters don't and enjoy an abundance of hair. I just wear a hairband and life goes on.
