Good news good news, for your alopecia aerata cure.
If you have alopecia aerata. Don't worry. Use Milk Kefir, Take a cup of milk kefir (drink it) and also apply milk kefir in the affected areas. You will see nice and full hair growth in 3 months. There will not be a single trace that you had alopecia.
It is auto immune disease. Definitely Milk Kefir cures auto immune disease. Milk Kefir is God Sent, It cures many diseases like IBS, Crohns, dyspepsia, autism some claim even schizophrenia.
Important point- You should use real home made milk kefir. Don't use store bought industrially produced milk kefir. You can buy milk kefir grains from ebay and see how to make kefir videos in youtube.
Milk kefir is the one food that can't be industrially produced however the company claims it. It is due to the synergestic combination of Billions of yeast and good bacterias in it.
People in north america and europe can easily get it. it is hard to find to milk kefir in asia.
Hope this will help many, who are in despair.
Back in May 2012, I noticed what turned out to be Alopecia Areata and was immediatley frightened due to the rather large bald spot on the top of my head. I immediatly reached out to the internet and found this website and the reply regarding milk kefir. I had nothing else to lose (besides more hair) so I tried the milk kefir. Needless to say, after drinking a cup a day for the first 10-15 days, I immediatley started to see new hair growth. This stuff is amazing! For anyone dealing with Alopecia Areata, this is by far, the cheapest, as well as the most effective cure, in my opinion. I am so pleased with the results as I continuously have a cup of milk kefir each day and watch my hair, slowly but surely fill back in. Thanks to whoever made the comment about milk kefir, I am well on my way to a healthly, full head of hair in the near future, and for that I am eternaly grateful. Thanks for sharing! All I can say is WOW!!
Jojoba oil, tea tree oil, everyday, as well as a 10 min scalp massage using your head muscles. The jojoba clears any sebum dht build up on the scalp and leaving your pores flushed out. The tea tree oil will wipe out any skin or fungus disorders in the scalp, the main one being dandruff.
The head massage ( without using hands ) by just using your head muscles will bring more blood to your scalp, and flush out any dht clogging your hair folicles. Do this everyday for at least 5-10 minutes.
Drink plenty of water, cut out processed sugars and foods, fried foods, alcohol, smoking, red meats. You will see a complete shut down of balding if you are currently losing your hair. It will stop dead in its tracks, and you will keep what you have and grow some back, if you stick to that plan.
To Brendon from Petaling, Malaysia showing signs of male pattern baldness:
I would suggest colloidal silver water in a mister/spray bottle. I saw once a DVD on this by a scientist who took it upon himself to help ordinary people with health problems. He had been bald but used to mist his head with CS and he had grown his hair back and even in dark colour.
In addition, you could use onion poultices as seen on you tube. Onion has lots of sulphur which is good for hair growth. Good luck, Om
Posted by Brendon (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) on 12/14/2013: I'm 15 and I have signs of male pattern baldness, I would like to know how do I use the Apple Cider Vinegar method? Would appreciate if I would get a response as soon as possible, thanks :)
I am not aware of how to use ACV for regrowing hair. I know of some things that may be helpful, though. Nettles and horsetail are both good for hair growth. You could take capsules of either or both, or make a tea of them to drink regularly. (2 cups per day.) Castor oil, topically, has helped some with hair growth. You would massage it onto the scalp and let it sit for a while before washing it off. (Maybe an hour or two while you watch TV or whatever.) It may take a couple of washings to get it out.
Be careful what shampoo you use. SLS in shampoo is bad for your hair. (I recently got some "everyone Shampoo" that is free of SLS and really like it. Not too expensive and smells good.)
Finally, if I were you, I would take some time to study here at Earth Clinic. Read all the pages about alopecia. Also, read the Colloidal Silver pages. Dave has written extensively about using CS to combat viruses, including those that may be causing auto-immune disease. Some thing that Alopecia is auto-immune.
Some people do use Apple Cider Vinegar as a hair rinse. It wouldn't hurt to try that, too. You can also take 1 Tablespoon in a glass of water each day. It helps so many things. Maybe it would be helpful to you.
Let us know how it goes!

H. Pylori Link to Alopecia
I've got my hair back since my last post a couple of years ago (see bottom of this post). It would grow back then move on to the next part of the head and so on an so on till it moved through every part of my head in patches.
Well, I just might have found a link between undiagnosed ulcers and alopecia areata and could be for other forms as well. I've had an ulcer for the last 6 years, but didn't know until recently when the pain started, but the alopecia started before I had any pain. It's due to the Helicobacter pylori bacteria in the gut.
Part of my eyebrow is missing now, but within a few weeks starting growing back.
I'm sleeping on a grounding sheet and taking cannabis oil in olive oil form and virgin cold pressed coconut oil. And juicing cabbage, which gives instant relief from the pain, but hasn't cured it. Its kept it in check mostly, but hasn't cured it.
I would seriously check this out guys and girls:
Cure of alopecia areata after eradication of Helicobacter pylori: A new association?

Hi to all,
I've been reading the posts and replies on Alopecia. I've come down with it in the last few months and I've lost my moustache and now have several areas on my head of which one is a total bald spot of around 3cm square. There seem to be a lot of hit and miss going on and so many different types of supposed cures.
I'm not sure if anyone has posted anything regarding "Candida and Hair loss". I will shortly visit a trusted Naturopath to confirm my suspicions. I'm not sure if you can get a test done at your local Doctor to show Candida. It is directly related to a fungus condition from yeast the affects the bowel and the immune system hence "Autoimmune" issues.
I have all the symptoms of a Candida infestation. The health of the bowel is seriously underestimated.
I will report back shortly after confirming if this is the case or not.
Till then I recommend others Google "Candida and hair loss".
Borax might be an interesting read since it's one of our minerals and also affects hormone balance and in this site there is a section for using it as a shampoo.... Vitamin D is also a hormone and I sunbath for 15 minutes daily for my hormone health.
I've used urine therapy. Involves collecting a cup of your own urine before you turn on the shower, poring it over your head massage it in, shower & clean the rest of your body , then just before you get out rinse your hair thoroughly. Your hair will get thicker with a nice luster. In about 2 months new hair will start to grow. Look & understand urine therapy, very very interesting. cheers Graham
Biotin, Silica, Zinc
I regrew my hair with a high dosage combination of biotin, vegetal silica and zinc about six years ago.
The hair loss cause was stress and I felt that getting rid of the stress was also essential to the program. Hair loss stopped the day I started the nutrition regime and since hair grows on average about a half inch per month I saw evidence of new hair growth in about 4 weeks. I had gone almost all silver grey/white(stress?) before the hair loss started but all new growth came in with my natural brown color(no more stress?). Six years later I still have a full head of hair with some little flecks of white/grey at the crown(various degrees of stress or poor circulation?).
I continued my nutrient program for about six months but tapered the dosage down a bit after the first 2 months and further at the 4 month point. Hope this helps.
I am very happy to see that you are cured of alopecia with homemade kefir. It is the best medicine or food for Auto Immune Disease.
It can also be used for any type of skin diseases.
1. Baby Diaper Rash,
3. Allergic Reaction
4. Vaginal Yeast Infection (Should be applied in vagina and taken internally)
It is truly GOD SENT food and it cures many diseases. Thanks for sharing
Crush garlic, apply to scalp.
Leave them overnight.
Wash your hair in the morning.
Thus is the fastest hair growing natural treatment.
Micro needling with rogaine, but if your hair loss is more than 50% hair implants are the best option.
I got mine from the Kefir Lady (google it). You send her $10 cash and she sends you the grains, about a tablespoon full in a little ziploc baggie in some goat milk. Easy.
Ted wrote a lot on hair remedies -it is so detailed I printed it out and highlighted it with a marker:
These are the best remedies I have found that have helped (almost immediately! ) my hair to have a smooth texture and look thicker:
1.) Wheatgrass (I take the powdered form)
2.) Glutathione capsules
3.) Coenzymated vitamin B's
Aloe Vera for Male Pattern Baldness in Men
i started rubbing aloe vera into my scalp about 4 months ago, I do it 2 to 3 times a week, I just take and scrape the inside of the leaf and get goop from it and really get my scalp soaking wet with it, I do it at night so it can soak in good, and shower in the morning, I have male pattern baldness and noticed my hair is coming back like grass spreading from the hair thats left and starting to cover the bald areas, it has expanded about an inch and a half over the past 4 months, have no idea if it will work for everyone, but so far I am amazed.
Good luck in whatever you do.
Hi Jackie, Just curious, do you make your own kefir? For a year I made my own kefir and really enjoyed the process and sharing it. Everyone I gave it to loved it and felt various changes from it. I know it helped me restore my health. It is an amazing food! I keep meaning to go back to making it since I've returned to making fermented veggies. Your post was a good reminder! Congratulations on restoring your hair! Best of health to you, Lisa
To Lisa: Yes, I do make my own kefir at home. I read all about it on the internet and have found that it is really very easy to make, not to mention, very inexpensive. For anyone who has tried other products that can be a little pricey, I would recommend you try the milk kefir. Can't say enough about it.... Thanks again for sharing.
Hi Rabia, Well, Ed2010 gave it to you in a nutshell. I'm going to give you a link to a site which gives you extensive information on kefir.
I discovered it a few years ago when I first started making kefir and learned so much from it, I thought it might interest you and perhaps others. I would not recommend ordering any grains from Dom though, as I remember he was rather unreliable in this manner. Nonetheless, the history and information is absolutely fascinating! Enjoy and best to you, Lisa
Hi Diyac, I originally bought my kefir grains from a commercial site since I was brand new to that world. After I started to learn more and join groups, I learned there were lots of people out there that are more than willing to share their grains. I know I have given my personal grains to friends and family. When you begin to make your own, you will have a surplus too and can then share as well.
Anyway, here is a great resource to finding kefir:
I hope this helps. Lisa
Dear Tim in NY,
My understanding is that water kefir does not have as many probiotics as milk kefir. But it would surely be worth a try!
Also, it is possible that your body would tolerate the milk kefir as the kefir grains live on the sugar in the milk. So there is less milk sugar in the kefir. My system doesn't tolerate dairy the best but it does tolerate kefir quite well.
Let us know what you try!
~Mama to Many~
Hi Ted and everyone.
I'm having Hair loss from few years and I'm almost bald now. I tried many remedies from this web site and others but none responded. I'm Vegetarian and healthy otherwise.
I take ACV two teaspoons in warm water with 2 teaspoons of Lemon with honey daily from past year before brush in the morning.
I also did lot of other remedies like Tea tree oil, rosemary essential oil, Peppermint E oil daily night for 3 months mixed with Castor oil and Coconut oil.
I also tried Cayenne pepper mixed in the castor oil and rubbed in scalp thrice a week fro almost 6 months.
I'm also taking supplements like - Zinc, MAxi-Hair suppliments, NAC 60 mg
I'm not sure what am I doing wrong here.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Milk Kefir didnt help me with hair loss, have been drinking it for a couple years, helps with immune system a bit though.
You might try another brand.
Jojoba, Tea Tree Oil
How do you do the jojoba and tea tree oil exactly? Has anyone tried this?
I've been facing progressive hair thinning near my crown and top part of the scalp since 2005 or so. It used to itch due to dandruff/fungus infection. As a kid I used to apply gel for an year or so. I also had asthma and was on sulbutamol, fluticasone inhalers.
Fast forward from 2007-2011, I was in college. Hair loss was worse due to bad nutrition staying in hostel. It thinned more. Used to wash my head with a ZPT shampoo as advised by my doctor.
I discovered this site and came to know about SLS and stopped shampoo immediately. From what I could figure out:
1) using aloe vera gel+tea tree+lavender oil helps to cure dandruff
2) taking biotin, silica, vitamin c, zinc, iodine, selenium supplements should help too
3) Diet wise: eliminated sugar/wheat and dairy
Am I missing anything? Please suggest me ways to cure my hair loss and get rid of fungal infection. If I stop tea tree for a while it starts itching again. I can go to any extent.
I have read about people using athletes foot cream mixed with equal parts water and applying to scalp. It won't leave your hair greasy, has no smell and is super cheap. Worth a try, especially if you suspect your issue is fungal.
I have been using rogaine, finasteride, and biotin based products religiously. From what I have experienced is stronger and thicker hair. Not so much new hair growth (minimal), but what hair I do have is much stronger. Dosage of biotin really doesn't seem to have an effect. Its all about consistency. Keep the dosage the same, and over time you will see results. Trust me, its a slow road. Find a hair style you are comfortable with and keep it. Do your best to forget that you have hair loss, because you will not get results over night. Takes years.
Biotin, Silica, Zinc
Please could you tell me how much of each you were taking?
How is your hair now? Has it all grown back? Are you still using aloe vera?
I have a hard time believing that aloe would cause hair to grow back.
Your message is from 2012... did milk kefir help regrow all of your lost hair? Thank you
Kindly share that what is kefir and how to prepare milk kefir at home??
Rabia, Milk Kefir is a fermented milk drink similar to yoghurt or curd. It requires milk kefir grains to ferment. milk grains is the starter culture, how you add existing yoghurt to milk to make it yoghurt. google or youtube milk kefir you will see plenty of information. FYI, there is a small amount of alcohol in milk kefir. thanks
Hi Ed2010, I wanted to know if you can tell me which ebay seller you purchased your kefir grains from. My brother suffers from alopecia and I just want to make sure that I get real grains and not something fake.
Since you have already bought great grains from someone can you please share the sellers info?
you can e-mail me privately at diyac87(at)gmail.com. I would also love to hear any other tips you may have. My brother has taken this condition very seriously and I need to do anything possible to make him better. Thanks!
hi diya, I bought my kefir grains from a seller in Kijiji. Ebay is good for people who can't kefir grains locally. I sent the info about the seller to your email.
Good Health, thanks
I would like to have more info on water kifir from anyone on this site who has used it. I have scoured the web but not seeing too much in the way what it has really done for people. I am concerned about the sugar used to ferment it since you can't use honey. I can't use dairy. What I have found is that only 20 % of the sugar is left since it is "eaten" in the fermentation but it is still sugar. I am trying to heal my stomach from gluten issues and need to keep the cost to bare minimum. A friend gave me grains and have been fermenting but still not sure it has helped.
Hi Tammy, You really don't have to be concerned with sugar when making fermented foods or drinks as all the sugar is "eaten". I have used molasses and also coconut sugar in lieu of regular sugar if that helps. I believe fermented foods and drinks are very important to our gut health and can heal them. I am going to give you a link to one of the most comprehensive sites I have ever found on kefir. You will find a lot of information here on water kefir as well.
You can also coconut water kefir. I make this often and it is highly recommended by Donna Gates who is an authority on fermented foods and coconut water kefir to heal the gut. If you google her you will learn a lot on healing the gut and also ridding candida.
Hope this helps. Lisa
Hi Tammy, I have used many of the fermented products. Milk Kefir, Water Kefir, Saurkraut, Miso, Natto, Kombucha, Kimchi, yoghurt.
I used water kefir as well. For me, I like the Milk Kefir very much because of the improved well being I noticed in the 2nd day. I did not feel the same in water kefir.
In both water kefir and milk kefir the sugar is completely broken and/or converted (too much of chemical reaction to explain) So, you don't have to worry about sugar. In yoghurt both commercially made and home made lactose is not completely converted, so still there is lactose present in it.
Even, in the days when I was lactose intelorant I can take milk kefir without any issues. So if you take milk kefir the chances are there to cure gluten intolerance. Once the intestines are healed it can digest wheat.
But I recommend to view the gluten intolerance page in EC. There is a particular type of wheat (traditional variety - non GMO) can cure and make your body to tolerate gluten.
Thank you for the info. I read about the water kefir. I will keep trying. Last batch I added ginger root and pear(peeled) after grains were removed. Very tasty. If nothing else, it has been fun to make and watch the grains multiply like crazy.
Hi Tammy, Just curious if you looked at Dom's kefir site when you say you read about the water kefir. Also, I know you said you were trying to heal your stomach. Would you consider milk kefir instead of water kefir? Sounds like your grains are really proliferating so you could use some of them to try milk kefir. Milk kefir has loads of good bacterias that can really heal the gut. And often it can turn around dairy intolerance because it replenishes the bacterias which help with digesting it. Try reading about the milk kefir and its benefits on Dom's site as well. I learned so much from him!
At any rate, your water kefir drink sounds delicious! And I'm glad you're having fun making it. Lisa
I'm Lactose Intolerent; would water kefir have the same effect as milk kefir?
Alopecia Areata/Totalis/Universalis: I recently saw something in a search on cures for alopecia. It's called 'pulse therapy' which includes several high doses of steroids, for a short period of time; pulsed out over time. The reseach has suggested that many people with this disorder are cured within a 3-6month time frame. Although they say it causes no side-effects or risk, I would do my own personal due diligence. Seems to be available in most other countries except here in the USA
I had the steroid treatment for my alopecia and all my hair grew back, but the steroids were administered by a doc and in the form of shots to the bald spots. I've not seen or felt any side affects though I did see some scarring due to the shots.
