Effective Natural Remedies for Gallstone Relief and Prevention

I was diagnosed with gallstones today and told I need to get my gallbladder out. They wanted to schedule me with a surgeon. I said no, I want to wait. I don't have insurance, but mainly I don't want surgery!

I have read so much on here and everyone seems to have horrible pain. I haven't had bad pain. All I really have is a miserable icky feeling in my upper stomach. Like I ate a huge meal and it is just sitting there... Sometime feels rancid. It's truly awful. I dont read on here about anyone else experiencing this. So a part of me is wondering if my symptoms are something else, aside from the stones.

I asked the nurse on the phone the if the stones were big and she called me back after talking to the dr and said he didnt say. Gotta love that. So I have no idea.

I have terrible back pain regularly and don't sleep well on normal nights so the cleanse concerns me because I cant lay still or sleep. So how do I do that. Also what if the stones are big? will I be able to pass them?

So many questions.... Any advice?

Lemon Water

I have had some success. I had a large stone 2.1 cm in 2011 and the Dr said it was up to me if I wanted to get my gb removed. He said a large stone only puts pressure on the duct, but wont get stuck in it. I already knew I would opt for surgery anyway since the gb is very important! I called my naturopath up and she suggested I drink a very warm glass of water with the juice of a yellow lemon every morning on an empty stomach. This thins the bile. A few days later my pain was gone. I then did a liver flush with some herbs, cascara sagrada and beet root formula. Followed with olive oil and gIrapefruit juice. Didn't notice too much difference from that, but I'm sure it helped. I changed my diet to include plenty of fats (i eat eggs over easy, avocados, cheese, meat, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. ) and eliminated grains and most sugars. I supplemented daily with sunflower lethicin, magnesium, vitamins, and drank my lemon water every morning. In 2012 I had a second ultrasound done on my gallbladder and the stone was 40% dissolved. My doctor was in disbelief to say the least! He told me he had really doubted me in going a natural route but that he is happy I have done so well. I no longer have pain so I'm anxiously awaiting my upcoming scan this summer to see what's left!

Most of the large visible "stones" from these olive oil flushes have been proven to be saponified fat from ingesting all that olive oil; it's likely smaller, actual gall stones could be flushed out too, but my N.D. warned me these flushes could be very dangerous for people with stones experiencing attacks as they trigger the spasming of the GB and could cause stones to release and become stuck. She advised me to eat an 80% pesco-vegan diet, and take peppermint, vit. C, fish oil, and lecithin capsules 3x daily to help prevent, soften, and dissolve stones. Also to reduce or cut alcohol intake, and drink LOTS of water to keep bile flow moving. So far I have been attack-free for 3 months, only some twinges now and then when I am stressed, dehydrated, or not eating well.

Hi Rei! My gb area seems fine.... If you see my post re heartburn you will see I have now started a different set of problems! ?!

I did 5 weeks of the high legume protocol and don't know if that has contributed to the heartburn problem as legumes are acidic ? So having a week off from lots of beans and then will have another go. Was waiting to hear from Stevenson- see how things went with the scan.

I didn't really get any useful feedback from Karen Hurd.... whether there is any evidence of the legume therapy actually working.

The only thing I can say from your post.... At least you know that you can do better! And what foods still create problems!

I'll let you know what my gb surgeon says after Friday. I really want to keep the gb. Sadly I was turned down for the Chinese surgery because of my wonky thyroid issues. My U. K. Surgeon says he can perform surgery to remove the stone.... But doesn't recommend it because of the increased risk of bile leakage!

I don't know some days..... what else is there to try?

Take care.

Stevenson & Carole,

It's been a quite some time since I've been here. I was doing well on the bean protocol, but fell off the bandwagon about 2 weeks ago. Here in the US it's "tax time", so my schedule has been ridiculous to say the least (I am a bookkeeper w/several clients). Today is the deadline, and I just remembered to file for myself!

Although I fell off schedule, I have managed to have beans every day. I've cleaned up my diet pretty well, adding tons of fresh raw veggies, Quinoa, and I have had very little animal products. In the last month, I've had a 2 meals with actual animal meat, per se. I had a few shrimp one night and some chicken another. Up until this weekend, I have felt complete relief of any nagging pain and discomfort. Then came the pizza, with all the cheese and fat. I paid dearly for that move. Obviously I need to get back on the bean protocol full force. It's a shame really, had I stuck with it completely I would be in the last segment of it.

Carole, how are you doing with things? Any noteable changes for you?

Stevenson, did you get your results back from the scan?

I've added raw beets to my food intake yesterday, after that horrid attack. Perhaps that will help me as well. Who knows...

Hi Chance, Your story is exactly the same as the attack I had today. I thought I could have some pasta with a creamy sauce, boy what a mistake that was! I had read your post earlier in the week and had my husband go to the store and get the apple cider vinegar and apple juice. It kind of burned going down my throat. But after 15 minutes or so the bloating in my tummy started to go down and the pain lessened enough to breathe easier! But my tummy is still sore hours later. I don't know if I used too much Apple Cider Vinegar but my tummy still hurts. But the pain is mostly gone thank goodness! I need to do a flush to get rid of the gallstones. I do not want surgery. The surgeon wanted me to schedule the surgery to remove the gallbladder but I told him that God gave me a gallbladder for a reason. :). So my husband and I are starting to eat healthy foods and cut out the processed foods! Thank you so much to sharing your post and to the other people who post their stories! I just need to find the flush now! Wish me luck!! Thank you EARTH CLINIC!!!!!!

Hi! I am in the process of looking at all the links re the gallstone protocol. I asked Karen Hurd for any data that would support her high fibre diet and she responded immediately with the following link.... which I share here.

Perhaps we can share any thoughts.

Rei, thanks again for the links you posted. My scan is April 8, so lets see what it shows and then go from there I guess. Dr. Oz this week talked about soluble fiber and just how important it is for us and my case confirms this too. He mentioned I think it was one week a month to go a week with as much soluble fiber as you can, so he must know something those links you posted perhaps missed?

The internet can drive me nuts sometimes as there will always be someone somewhere bashing everything that is healthy for us, so I do my best to try and keep an open mind and use good reason and go from there.

You have certainly posted a lot of relevant information which I have only had time to quickly scan. I will read more thoroughly at the weekend. Some of the information is completely at odds with other comments I have read.

As to tamarind.... it was posted here and when I looked it was good for 'gallbladder disorders' and also for lowering cholesterol.

I settled get confuddled by all the information.

As to eating the beans.... I find it hard to eat the six portions spread throughout the day.... Which is complete contradiction to the protocol I had just started.... Trying to reduce the number of smaller meals to 'encourage the gallbladder to fill completely between meals.

As to coffee.... consumption of moderate amounts of coffee (weith or without caffeine) and/or other herbs that promote bile flow.

I will comment further when I have read all your postings... thank you.

Gallby has done exceptionally well! Wish he had the scan though.

p.s. Having problems typing this up - not sure what will appear?

Rei, thanks for your info. I will read the links you posted tonight, but don't be discouraged. I have read so many pages about all the things we should not eat as they will give us more problems with gallstones etc etc and I just decided that I don't want to restrict myself that way. I should be able to eat healthy food and not just cut away everything that seems ok to eat. By stumbling on the legumes regime, it made the most sense to me and has worked wonders that I could have never imagined for my body. The results speak for themselves.

As far as having a hard time eating more than the beans, well, I just mixed my veges, fruit etc in the bean portions so when I had the six times a day beans, it also included everything else I needed, so I was just fine. It takes a little bit of discipline, but not much. Every other day, I had a little oats with blueberries as well, as I was already full from my bean dishes.

Stevenson & Carole: I found a very interesting website and hope you'll have some time to take a look. It's a journey that one man took to save his gallbladder as well. While he has not had a follow up scan, he states that he is completely symptom free. I may incorporate some of his suggestions while keeping up with my bean consumption.

http://keepingmygallby.wordpress.com/

I don't know about how you both handled this, but I'm finding it extremely hard to eat anything more than these beans! Other than my morning coffee and cream which I absolutely can not give up. That is my drug of choice! I grind my beans every morning and when I want true decedance, I enjoy my cream and espresso's with my Nespresso machine. Granted, I cut my consuption down to 2 cups a day, but I refuse to give it up. :-)

Carole, I'm a bit concerned about the tamarind. Although I actually have tamarind paste in my pantry as I type, I did a very brief search and found that while it helps the liver, it is not so good for one that has gallstone issues. Here are 2 links that I stumbled across. Perhaps I'm reading it incorrectly? http://www.botanical-online.com/english/tamarind_properties.htm & http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16041099

I did however come across some unnerving info in regards to legumes and gallbladder, which I would like some input/opinioins. I will continue this regimen knowing what Stevenson has experienced, but still somewhat concerned.

I am enjoying tamarind - so worth looking at that for gb support.
- And I like dandelion root coffee (good for bile support).
- Also, coconut is a good source of protein.
- Chia seed is also a good source of protein/fibre. a tiny seed packed full of goodness.
- I am loving my bean soup; avocado, beetroot and bean salads and salmon, rice and beans. ?It is so rewarding to be able to eat and not be fearful of what might happen.... as we know the pain can be very scary!

Good luck

I was doing very well prior to slipping back into eating out. Little by little it seems to build and bam, attack!! The Stone has been released!

I noticed that table bread for me in any amount should be avoided at all cost. I also noticed that excessive fat content in one or two meals in a day will bring it on.

I am doing a flush now with Organic Apple Juice. I drink warm/hot water in the morning with Lemon Juice. I am sticking to mostly vegi's and rice during the Flush. I am doing this Flush with the help of a Dr and a Nutritionist. I am taking a bile thining supplement. I am tying to eat healthy fat and do not have an issue with Real Organic Butter or Salt in moderation with vegi's. I did this flush before and flushed many Stones. Yet, it dawned on me after eating a slightly escallating amount of trigger foods which I am probably also alergic to, I was passing a stone. The Apple Juice is a miracle disolvent for Stones. After an attack rest your body because there is so much going on with the Bile Duct. Drink Apple Juice and try to stay stress free. Eat carefully.

If I have to have surgery but with more disapline and time, MAYBE I can avoid it because I also contemplate the what if's. You know, what if it the start of hospital surgeries. I have read that if your healthy and your bloodwork shows high levels resulting from an attack then you may be able to heal by eating a better diet. Potatoes (Gold) seem to also be a miracle food for some reason. Good luck with your health.

I read last night that it takes years for stones to develope. If you have cleaned up your diet and you go back to eating something you are not use too you will trigger a potential stone release. You have to dissolve the stones and you have to eat healthy fat. The Gallbladder needs good fat.. That's it's job. I underworked mine. I didn't eat good or bad fat just refined breads and sugar over the years and minimal vegtables. I love carb's.

Posted by Carole (Bury Village, West Sussex,, England) on 02/18/2013

Blimey Timh - you're brave! However, this is just the sort of support I need! People who have actually passed large stones. I am told mine is calcified. I am sure if it was cholesterol - then with the protocol I have been on - it would have changed.

I have been using beetroot; dandelion coffee; lecithin granules; tamarind; milk thistle; lemon juice; peppermint oil; chanca piedra; gold coin grass; chamomile..... All can dissolve calcified gallstones!

I just wonder if I need to be on higher doses? My CP capsules says one 50mg a day. However, an earlier post from Bill suggests 100mg x 3 times a day! A big difference. I'll have a talk through options with the herbalist/acupuncturist tomorrow. However, it is this lady who is cautioning me against flushing with such a large stone!

I won't give up yet. Thanks for your input.

Carole

Carole: Is your GS a Calcium, Cholesterol, or mixed??? I have done several gb flushes over the yrs with many small and medium sized, but it was only about a yr ago I did a flush and passed a few small stones and one as large or larger than your 3cm. I was somewhat shocked at the size and that I had successfully passed it. It appeared to be mostly cholesterol but could have had some calcium, although I didn't closely examine. I don't do the passive method of simply laying down on the left side. I take a roll of toilet tissue (a few minutes fallowing the oil/lemon drink) place it directly over the gb, pull my thigh over the tissue, and squeeze quite hard (with help from hands n arms); wait a few minutes and repeat a few times. This active method literally "forces" the stone to pass.

Try this method in the early morning, and if in a rare occasion the stone gets stuck in the bile duct, you can make a quick dash to the emergency medical clinic for removal.

Chanca Piedra

An update on my situation. I have just had another scan which shows that the only change in my gallstone is that it has got bigger! It is now measuring 3.1cms. For the past three months I have been on an intensive protocol to help dissolve? break up the stone? However.... There has been no indication that the herbs have done anything! I have been using Gold Coin Grass as a tea and also a tincture. I have also been using Chanca Piedra as a tincture and also a tea and have just started a herbal supplement. Other things to help the situation.... Drinking lots of chamomile tea/lemon juice (helps to dissolve gallstones); dandelion coffee/beetroot (helps improve bile flow). Tamarind for gallbladder support.

Has anybody actually had any success with dissolving large gallstones using herbs? And how much of anything does one need to take for it to be effective. The Chanca Piedra (for instance) suggests just one 500mg capsule per day.

I did do one gb/liver flush a few weeks' ago and it was fine and the discomfort was better for a little while. However, I keep being advised not to attempt any flushes with such a large stone. Surgery would seem to be my only option.... which is sad when I have put so much effort into trying to keep the gb.

I'd appreciate any help.

Chaca Piedra is the real medicine to break the stones. Or even take chanca piedra tea.

Try juice therapy variety of juices throughout the day: apple juice, tamarind juice, lemon juice, carrot juice, lemon juice

And Ted's Alkalizing formula.

Check the following link: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/gallstones4.html#JUICE

the juice therapy will soften the stone and wash it away. Have your regular diet, don't take Calcium tablet. Carrot juice is enough for nutrition.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a gallstone 2 yrs ago. Just 1 1.5cm approx and opted not to have the gall bladder out. It doesn't makes sense to me. However, I don't really know what I'm doing and I may be causing more problems. I have never eaten fried food or any sweets since. Meat is mainly salmon, chicken, turkey or occasionally lamb No animal stocks, only vege. I get some olive oil or avocado daily for fat. I make all of my own meals. I recently I had my first major attack in 2years, but I did not have any fat at all. I made a pizza with fat free cheese for dinner and about 2hrs later it started, lasted the typical 4hrs and subsided. That was really confusing. And since then, I have constant irritation. Maybe it's alot of gases, however, Otherwise I eat mainly organic diet, with a good amount of fresh veges and fruit, and sip water throughout the day. I am commited to keeping the gallbladder, but, I don't know how to keep from having problems.

I recently started Lecithin gel capsules with olive leaf before I go to bed. I take vit D3 and calcium in the am. Also, my weakness is occasional creme in my coffee and on the weekends a couple glasses of wine. Can some one explain why the wine is bad? When it was originally diagnosed, by a gastro he wanted to take it out becaue as he said that's what they do. The U/S showed the 1 stone and multiple calculi that were so small they could not be measured. Beyond surgery he would not assist me, so I'm in the dark. I took acupuncture for about 6 months and chinese herbs which caused me to PAINLESSLY pass the calculi. It had no effect on the larger stone. I lost my job and could not afford to continue. I will start the Chanca Piedra this week, but can someone advise me on navigating this alone? I don't want to hold onto the gallbladder and and damage other areas.

Hi Carole... I have used Chanca piedra extensively. It was part of my own candida cure to keep both calcium and sugar levels down in my blood. I have also used chanca piedra for other people and I know how good it is at dissolvong gallstones and kidney stones. It even cures gout. The best form is just an aqueous solution -- the alcoholic extract is not as good as the water extract. I live in the Philippines where Chanca piedra grows everywhere and is a weed and I use it alot as a diuretic cleanser for my body to periodically purge and cleanse the blood. CP is also strongly antiviral -- it can cure Hep B and they are currently researching CP for its beneficial effects against HIV AIDs and cancer. CP is a very powerful herb and yet there is no known overdose limit to this herb -- therefore its very safe.

I took strong doses of CP for a whole year non-stop for my candida problem and it did nothing but good and helped and contributed to my own eventul candida cure.

I made the CP decoction directly from picked herbs but the tea or capsule forms are also good ones to use.

One of the easiest and most effective methods for gallstone removal is just to take 1000 mgs of organic chanca piedra capsules(or just drink the tea form) three times a day at mealtimes. CP dissolves the stones by making the calcium in the stones more soluble. Chanca piedra will also get rid of kidney stones in the same manner and has a high reputation for clearing excess calcium problems -- like gallstones and kidney stones -- in the body.

Gallstones aren't really a gall bladder problem at all -- they are a liver problem which primarily occurs due to too much calcium(too much dairy) and too much fats and oils(especially vegetable oils) in the diet. So taking milk thistle, ALA and selenium will also help the liver to cope which will also help you to avoid gallstone problems in the future. Taking a teaspoon of granulated lecithin at mealtimes is also highly beneficial for the liver and for gallstone removal and prevention.

The fact that you can't gain weight could also indicate very poor digestion. Taking Betaine Hydrochloride, protease enzymes and alkalizing with sodium bicarbonate and water should help to improve this problem and help you gain weight as well.

* Take betaine hydrchloride tablets with every meal. This will help to supply the necessary chlorides and will address the root cause of your stomach acid problem.

* Take pancreatic enzymes containing bromelain and papain at every meal. This will aid proper protein digestion in both the stomach and duodenum.

* Take Sea Salt(not refined table salt) -- 1/4 to 1/2 tspn with water once per day -- outside mealtimes. This helps to supply chlorides for proper stomach acid production. It also helps to supply minerls to the body.

* Take Magnesium Chloride -- 1/4 teaspoon once per day -- taken at mealtme. This also helps to supply chlorides for proper stomach digestion. It also helps the liver and aids in killing off pathogens in the intestines. Magnesium will also help dissolve your gallstones.

* Alkalize the intestines using Ted's Sodium Bicarbonate and water remedy. Take this remedy 1/2 hr to 1 hour after every meal. This remedy helps to promote proper alkaline digestion in the upper intestine and also addresses a possible lack of bicarbonates in the pancreatic juices.

*(Optional) Kelp Extract -- regular advised dosage -- Iodine is also necessary to help regenerate stomach acid.

Regarding your intestinal crawling sensations, it's also fairly well known that parasites can hide in amongst gallstones and your crawling sensation in the intestines might be related to this. So best to get yourself checked for parasites as well. The Hulda Clark remedy is a good one to get rid of parasites.

Try the juice therapy for Gall Stone attack and Gall stone removal - https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/gallstones3.html#JUICE

It is safe and healthy. Don't repeat the same juice daily, you should alternate. You can drink apple juice in the morning, lemon juice afternoon after a meal, again evening apple juice.

Also, mix 1 tsp apple cider vinegar in the apple juice for additional benefit.

Good health.

Don't Flush if you are afraid. You should start juice therapy to dissolve the existing stone.

  • Tamarind Juice - Dissolves stones
  • Lemon Juice - softens stones
  • Apple Juice - softens stones
  • Carrot Juice - Mineral Supplier, Immunity Builder and Liver cleanser and gall bladder cleanser.
  • Tender Coconut Water - Diurectic
  • Phylanthus Niruri(Stone Breaker) Tea - to dissolve stones.

to make stonebreaker tea. Boil glass of water, when the water boils stop the heat and add half tsp of phylanthus niruri powder and set it aside for 10 mins. after 10 mins filter and drink it. Drink the tea on alternate days (as a minimal dose).

Very Important info about Juices. Juices should be home made and fresh not the store bought, store bought juices are just water with sugar and colors. Alternate each juice everyother day.

Day 1. Tamarind Juice
Day 2. Carrot Juice
Day 3. Apple Juice
Day 4. Lemon Juice (can be taken daily also)
Day 5. Tamaring Juice and so on

I'm a 27 year old woman scheduled for a sonogram to check for suspected gallstones based on symptoms I've had for years. I have other factors stacked against this too. All women on my mother's side (including her) have had their gallbladders removed due to stones. I'm also overweight; have lost a lot of weight; am an ex-smoker; ate poor diet for the first 80% of my life; have Native American genetics; have magnesium deficiency and slightly low running thyroid.

Since improving my health by exercise, choosing fresh and homemade foods, and taking magnesium supplement, my frequency of "attacks" (what I think are gallblader attacks) is very low to what it used to be. Ocassionally I'll still indulge. Unfortunately when I do, it still triggers an attack about 20% of the time. Usually after eating fast food, red meat, or something dairy-rich.

My definition of attacks is: a horrible pain in my upper stomach that can become so intense, I can barely manage to straighten my torso. I'm doubled over constantly, walking hunched if I can muster the will to walk around. The pain radiates up my sternum and into my upper back between the shoulder blades. It feels like a gigantic pair of fists are shoved into my chest and stomach, squeezing and twisting in opposite directions so that nothing can go further in or out. My upper stomach will feel a little hard or rigid too - like it's all tensed up.

Sometimes I get my boyfriend to pound his fist into my upper back, like he's punching back for me! I'll grind my fist into my back too and sometimes that pressure helps minimally but only while I'm doing it. I know, totally bizarre of me. But it's what makes sense at the time. In the past for attacks, I've taken carrot juice which I read helps digestion and/or a cup of my powdered magnesium supplement (called Natural Calm -it's amazing! ) which takes the edge off. Once, I chewed raw ginger I cut right off the root in pure desperaton. All these things have helped (although carrot juice stopped being as effective for some reason).

The attacks last an hour to several hours and can be mild or severe to where I'm panting and squirming all over the bed, moaning in helpless pain. Sometimes there's oh so ladylike belching involved but if it's bad, it doesn't matter how much my body tries to do this, it doesn't alleviate anything.

I had an attack that woke me up very early this morning. :( It's my fault. I even thought it might be coming last night. I was SO tired last night I didn't want to cook, even though that little voice inside my head said I should do it. I didn't listen and got a chicken burrito from a taco shop on the way home thinking chicken is a mild choice. It didn't even end up being that good - it was gross and had unexpected amount of greasiness like it was cooked on an uncleaned surface that had been used for red meats. I only ate half feeling how heavy it was getting in my stomach. Less than 2 hours later, I could FEEL like this attack was coming. In preperation I found this page with all the great reviews about apple cider and apple juice working. I was hopeful and meant to go get apple juice and the apple cider from the store but fell asleep with my phone still on my chest, this page still on the screen when the attack woke me up.

It was a milder attack so I took the magnesium, then drove to the grocery store for the apple cider vinegar and apple juice. It got worse at the store but it's so close to my house that I made it. Like described here, I took the suggested 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (the Heinz brand) mixed with a glass of apple juice (Simply Apple brand). It took me 10-15 minutes to finish drinking it. I was a little taken aback a little at the burny feeling in my throat and through my stomach but I thought of that as working magic. The burn is nothing really unpleasant or harsh - nothing compared to the pain of the attack at least! :)

As I took the last few sips I had already started feeling the pain subside. My stomach softened to the touch and the little swell the rigidity creates sometime went away. About an hour later, the pain was pretty much all gone and just some minor discomfort and remnant soreness was all that was left! THIS is the best pain remedy for the attacks I've EVER tried. I've never had the pain go away as rapidly or as close to complete as this before. Now I DID start with the magnesium supplement but it's help was minimal (it's MUCH better for preventative than reactive purposes).

It's drained me though. These attacks take nearly everything out of me. I've mustered the energy to write this post because I want it to be read by people looking for experiences of other people who go through it and what has worked for them. I'm telling you it works! If you're having an attack, my say is try it.

Thank you to Earth Clinic and all who took the time to post their experiences too. I would not have turned to the apple cider/apple juice concoction and gotten my quick relief if not for you!!

Recently learned I have gallstones (ugh).

Performed a successful liver/stone flush. While I feel some better, I'm still experiencing gallstone related symptoms (i. E. Nausea, gas, acid reflux, gurgling sounds, asthma attacks, allergies, etc. ) Sought a way to deal w/the attacks, while preparing for next flush in a few weeks. With a google search, found this site and the Apple Cider Vinegar solution. Figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thrilled to report, it worked...!

I obtained apple cider vinegar (w/out the mother) and combined with organic apple juice (both generic store brands at local health food store). Result was a tangy, delicious drink. Within minutes, I started to feel relief.

Thanks so much to those that shared this worked for their symptoms, and thanks to earthclinic. Com, for making this resource available on-line!

Chanca Piedra
Posted by Ed2010 (Oakville, Canada) on 07/13/2012

Chanca Piedra, is Phylanthus Niruri. It is the stonebreaker.

The annual herb Phyllanthus niruri is best known by the common names Stonebreaker(Eng. ), Chanca Piedra(Sp. ) and Quebra Pedra(Port. ), Seed-Under-Leaf(Eng. ) but has many other common names in assorted languages, including dukong anak, dukong-dukong anak, amin buah, rami buah, turi hutan, bhuiaonla, Meniran (Indonesia), (Malayalam) and / Keela Nelli (Tamil). The herb is known as Nela Nelli in Kannada and "Nela Usiri" in Telugu. It is a widespread tropical plant commonly found in coastal areas. It is a relative of the spurges, belonging to the leafflower genus of Family Phyllanthaceae.

I should say about this herb. Phylanthus Niruri, used to grow in abundance around my house in India. I used to pluck and eat it just like that during my childhood.

This is the top most potent herb for liver than Milk Thistle or any other herb. It is used in Unani, Ayurvedha, Siddha herbal medical system for more than 5000 years. If possible, you can contact any Indian herbal practitioner for accurate dosage.

Himalaya company also sells P. Niruri capsules. You can follow their dosage.

You can start with 2 capsules per day. If you want to be very safe then eat 2 tsp of chywanprash which contains Phylanthus Niruri (chanca piedra) and many other herb for your whole body.

One more info, Phylanthus Niruri is extremely potent and Heat(in ayurvedic and Siddha theory)Producing herb, so don't over use it. EC, pls don't mention this as a side effect because there will be no side effect by using this herb other than it is heat producing.

*Heat is the body's fire - Pitta (fire/water)

Even I am going to start eating this herb occassionaly for general health.

Hope this helps someone.

Olive Oil and Lemon Juice

Have to post this! I am doing liver flush by H. Clark. I could not follow exactly how she recommended it like lye doing right after taking olive oil/lemon juice. I was up for about 4 hrs afterward because had a lot to do. This liver pain I had for months is something that worries me a lot, it is mild but annoying (have to say my USS liver was negative for stones or anything abnormal). I learned about liver flush and decided to proceed after antiparasitic treatment. This am I had bright green irregular shape forms come out, hard to touch, but smashable with gloved fingers. They were wax like texture. Green hard wax! They would not desolve in water, if to press them against sink surface they would stick to it and not get flushed with water. Such odd and ugly stuff! Looks like they were about to form into stones.

I have to follow instructions next time and get more of this out. Highly recommended!

thanks to this website, I would never get to this on my own

I used to own 3 herb stores, and I have assisted many, many, people (including myself), in removal of gallstones through diet/herb combinations. Not only is it highly probable that you can be successful doing this, you must also realize that rarely does one remove the stones from more than one bile duct at a time using a cleanse. Therefore, it is necessary (and most people do NOT like this) to REPEAT the cleanse once every other month for a few months, in order to get rid of the stones, then go on an herbal maintenance program to address the cholesterol issues one had to have in the first place for the stones to form. The bile ducts are like "fingers"between the liver and gall bladder. When the stones block this opening, this is when an "attack" occurs. Also, cleaning the colon FIRST is not optional, as you can get very sick if you don't. Ihaveseen many, many people do a cleanse, get rid of a JARFUL of stones, then go back to their old dietary habits and change nothing, then are shocked when they have to have a gall bladder removed, on an emergency basis, because it is diseased and dysfunctional.
