Apple Cider Vinegar for Basal Cell Carcinoma

Combination basal cell patch(es) on scalp and Actinic Keratosis (AK) cheeks/scalp.

Doc 1 said 1cm BSC lesion on scalp, never checked the rest. But had some AK there and resurfacing on cheeks. Wanted to do biopsy on the spot there and then. I said whoa, I'll think about it first, so she gave me bacterial cream in the interim.

Went in Cebu for second opinion, vg Doc, checked all scalp, the one lesion plus few more bumps, gave me antibiotic to reduce inflamation prior possible excision, plus Aldara, low dosage, which I'd used before, for rest of scalp patches and cheeks.

In the meantime I went on the internet, found this website and decided to kit up with Apple Cider Vinegar, baking soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, aloe vera, vit C, Tincture iodine, and mashed eggplant.

Started with the ACV on the lesion regular daily patch, left on at night, clean with 3% HP, plus Aldara 2x week on the scalp bumps and face patches.

After two weeks of ACV, and having had lesion for two months, it's scabbed over and the scab just off. Hopefully now will try Vit C/aloe to help heal skin loss, in the meantime the Aldara, while red patches as expected initially (supposed to show it's working) also seems to be having positive effect on both scalp and cheeks.

That clinic is second to none except four of my friends who were treated there are all dead. My best buddy moved to Houston back in the 90's so they could call every shot.

They declared him cancer free and he was dead in three months. This sign they are now showing where cancer being crossed out is just more BS.

I have no solution, but getting your daddy to go back to an allopathic doctor makes me want to cry.

I've taken warts off and helped heal many skin aliments with ACV (with mother) (the brown stuff in bottom of bottle). It kills the fungus and bacteria on certain skin disorders. Even works well on fever blisters - it will burn like the dickens though. Lemon Balm is very effective on fever blisters. But back to the skin cancer. There is a black salve you can take certain types of basal cell cancers off with, called the "original black salve." I've taken several off my arms, chest- after doctor had taken a few off. They generally never come back. If they did, I reapplied, and they went away. I'm speaking of pinkish small type- NOT crusty types.

The problem with trying to effect a crusty type cancer, is that nothing seems to get UNDER the crust. My Dad played around with his black crusty spot on his arm for a couple years- and finally persuaded, he went for biopsy and it was melanoma. Quite extensive surgery, although the top part was only size of dime (or less). They spread out UNDER the skin. They took out two lymph nodes when they did the rotor rooter surgery on his arm. And found nothing in the lymph nodes, so caught it in time.

Now he's making excuses why he doesn't need to go back every 3- months, then 6 months.... oh YES, he's going back!!

You say you used apple cider vinegar and it worked, and after the scab came off it was gone. But how do you know it's actually gone, did you go back to the doctors and get another biopsy to make sure?

I'm trying the peroxide/ACV/Sunspot ES gel that I have. This is my first day and the scab looks a little less angry. We'll see. I have a doctor appt. in October so I am going to try this for awhile then let her look at it if it isn't better by then.

I have done all the stuff you are doing. I raise my own eggplant and treat my arms, but not if it's cancer.

That's not a play thing. If it's just crusty stuff then play doctor. Otherwise, get serious. That is an ole patoots advice .

I have had the same success with simple protocol of ACV as Kate mentions. The protocol is almost identical, except I cleaned the area with non food grade 3% peroxide before applying the ACV. It has been almost 8 months, and after the scab fell off, it did leave an indentation, but was using creams to complete the process. I have noticed it has started to come back, I may have not completed the process so will attack it again, but this time will clean area with food grade Peroxide mixed down to 3%.

Yes it will get nasty looking, yes it may burn a little, but keep on the process for at least 2 to 3 weeks, even though my scab feel off with 3 days of applying ACV which was rather quick.

So I am doing it again, may have not caught it all, but the ACV did catch a smaller one on the other side of my nose, and that area completed healed up and looks normal.

ACV works great, yes going to be a little bit painful and sting, but well worth it. I am also going to try the egg plant version as well and make my own mixture.

Will keep people posted as to the outcome of this one, and try to take some pictures again. it has only been day 1 of actually starting it seriously again.

Bryan T., I don't know what to tell you about vinegar, I have trouble with the smell, so I tried everything else out there. Since mine was growing, even after two years of trying everything, I caved in and had it removed (and have a nice scar to show for it...). But when all is said and done, the only things that seemed to make any positive difference to me, was: green clay, and very short applications of baking soda (any longer, was too painful). The green clay never hurt but works verrrry slowly and this thing was just atop the bridge of my nose, so it was socially awkward to walk around with a green blob on my face.

So I have had this bcc for what seems to be about a year now. It has turned into a small hole on the side of my cheek. I finally decided to try the vinegar treatment after reading this blog last weekend. I started treatment on Sat night and have stuck with it until today (Tue). The area has become red and inflammed and has a green tint to it. I feel like it has spread and now the whole side of my cheek is really swollen.

Is it working and should I keep up with it?

Seven days ago I visited my GP to have another sun damage spot frozen off, this time from my nose. I'm 56, fair skinned, and have suffered the embarrassment of a flamboyantly sunburned nose more times than I care to recall. It was a tiny 2mm, raised lump, pinkish, bled if I knocked or rubbed it accidentally. GP looked at it with his magnification, said it was a basal cell carcinoma, couldn't be frozen, needed a biopsy, then surgical removal! ... Not impressed.

I immediately went online to find natural treatment, found this website, and was amazed by what I read.

To the pantry, to the Apple Cider Vinegar.

The biopsy was booked for the end of the month, 18 days away. I thought that maybe by then there may be some improvement.

I used a cotton bud with ACV every hour or so until bedtime, then stuck a small cotton wool pad soaked with ACV on the offending object, and held it on with a band aid. Removed it some time in the middle of the night, been on for 4 hours or so.

The first 2 applications with the cotton bud turned it blackish, and it started to scab. That was last Thursday afternoon.

I continued to repeat the exact process for the next 4 days. By then a scab had formed around the 2mm BCC, so the scab it's self was about 1cm round, with a blackish centre. The edges looked red and angry. The vinegar caused stinging, a little throbbing, none of which lasted more than 10 mins or so, totally bearable, and I'm a wimp with zero pain threshold!

On Tuesday I stopped the vinegar, thought I'd let the scab fall off, then see whats underneath. I gently rubbed an all natural vitamin E cream on the scab and surrounding area a couple of times a day.

Today is Thursday 7 days later. The scab washed off in the shower this morning. Underneath is healthy pink skin, no raised lump, just the tiniest hole where the BCC was. It's gone!!

I'm blown away. I'll keep an eye on it, but it seems to have vanished. I've cancelled the biopsy :)

I had a tiny basal cell carcinoma cut out of my forehead 10 years ago and not had any since until now. When suddenly and I mean suddenly, there was one a cm in diameter. I know what a bcc looks like at various stages so have taken no medical advice. I am a qualified homeopath, four years training but retired.

The one cut from my forehead was only a tiny pearl. This one now is a crater type with white margins. I immediately found this forum and set to with the apple cider vinegar, I have the one with the mother inside the bottle. Just two days on and there is a remarkable change. Two white covers, which removed easily and the bcc is just about flat and a very healthy dark pink. A tiny tiny bit of stinging this morning, nothing much. I applied with a (cotton) bud 5 to 6 times in the day and stopped at night.

I await two homeopathic remedies by special delivery this morning as I need now to go via the internal immune route too. I had a very close bereavement 5 months ago and the timing is right for something to have erupted. I cannot name remedies, so please don`t ask.

Just Chilling, you're quite welcome. I bought vitamin c powder on Amazon. Make a paste with the vitamin c and a vitamin e capsule. Smear it on the lesion and leave it. In the morning, soak a washcloth in hot water and use it to soften the lesion, which will pull off the dead tissue. Reapply paste.

Green tea extract added to the paste is very good as well, but adds a dark color to the paste over time. The vitamin c and e paste is fairly discrete when out in public.

The sodium bicarbonate I found to be very effective and the aloe Vera as well. I juiced the whole leaf and applied it to my face overnight.

The scab seems to fall of and the process starts again, but each time the original place seems to be reduced. I tend to put the past of bicarb and coconut oil on in the evening, and for the night time, and then the apple cider vinegar during the day. When should I use the vitamin c and how much. When you say remove bits of the tissue, do you mean pick it off.... sounds yuk, but will do whatever it takes. Could I use coconut oil with the vitamin c, or pehaps aloe vera ? thank you so much. I have a suspected basal cell on my nose and I've been putting a calendula based salve on it along work Apple cider vinegar. For the past two days, I've put a small cotton saturated with Apple cider vinegar on it securing it with a band-aid. Now it's looking white ish like something is going to fall off. Patti from Florida --I would use the mid stream of my urine, soak a cloth and cover the infected parts for a while. Yours will heal fast. No smell.

Hello, I started using apple cider vinagar 4 weeks ago on 3 spots on my legs. They are sooooo very painful, they sting all day long, I am also very tired. They have changed in size and the top is now turning white. How long before the pain and stinging stop and they start to heal?

Another good thing to use on the bcc is vitamin C powder. Adding vit E and green tea extract works well with the vitamin C.

You should see some black dots and serous fluid when the mixtures are working and be able to remove bits of tissue little by little.

Hi to all. It's wonderful to read about your success. I have been treating a place on the tip of my nose with apple cider vinegar ( neat) during the day, and also coconut oil mixed in a paste with bicarb of soda, for when I am indoors and at night. Only yesterday it was looking nice and dry with a little scab, but this morning it had bled and the scab was much darker, I think because it bleeding, so I don't know if I knocked it during the night, or if its part of the healing process. Now it has bled, is it ok to continue or should I leave one or other off for a few days, your help will be very much appreciated. Thank you so much

Apple Cider Vinegar worked for me. I've been diagnosed with Basal Cell. One lesion I had cut out. I had a second lesion for over a year on my shoulder. After reading the above post, I applied ACV numerous times per day directly with a cotton swab and then covered it with a ACV soaked thin gauze pad or band aid. It stings. After a week, I could tell, it had killed the cancer cells. I stopped applying ACV, and allowed the area to scab, then heal. It took about a week to heal completely with no scar. Thank you!

I am using the homemade version of the BEC 5 cream as mentioned above. I've been at this for about three weeks. I have basal cell cancer on my nose and my dermatologist recommended MOHS surgery. I am only 42 years young and just want to try something natural before getting my face cut. I've been documenting this process and if it's successful, I will post pictures to follow.

The recipe is hard to find online but it's basically one medium size eggplant and organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. You pulverize the eggplant and mix it together with the apple cider vinegar. You want it to be a thick consistency if possible just so that it stays on better. Prior to using this, I tried Dr. Christophers black salve. That was working, just really slow going. Could you tell me exactly how you used the vinegar and peroxide?

I have had 2 battles with Basal Cell. Hydrogen peroxcide 35% mixed with DMSO works. I follow that up with baking soda paste, and then rub area with lemons followed by coconut oil to preserve area.

First time I used diluted hydrogen peroxcide 35% followed by baking soda paste, lemons and coconut oil. Had success both times.

HI U GREG, , , , , , , , warned of this in the past but got put down. Black salve certainly works except it can eat a hole as you say. Myself, I have used the egg plant cream, Curaderm, twice with success and once where the cream indicated that it was not a cancer after all.

That is the beauty of Curaderm. If the spot is not a cancer, then it does not turn hard and black. You just stop using.

I used black salve on a Basal Cell Carcinoma I had had for years. It certainly worked, it ate into the cancer and down deep. Took about 2 weeks for the scab to form/come off. Problem is, it left me scared. I have a large white depressed patch on my face where the cancer was. In all honesty I shouldn't have done it in such a prominent place on my face. It does work, but be prepared for scarring.

Can someone please give me more information about ordering this cream? I recently found a spot on the tip of my nose and do not want to have it cut in to. Hoping to try this cream instead if many have seen positive results. Thank you.

I will be very interested to see the pics. I have been using Hemp Oil on my basal/actinic keratosis. This is my second round of AK and first time for basal. Seems to be helping, though not like you are saying. Sounds a lot like the topical chemo I did the first time. Good luck!

Six months ago my doctor observed an approximate, dime-sized spot on my scalp as basal cell carcinoma. He referred me to a dermatologist and descibed the curettage procedure - which did not put me in a dancing mood....

After procrastinating for a few months (typical) I decided I had better address the issue.

I've used Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar for years for a variety of reasons and looked on Earth Clinic for a possible natural benefit to basal cell. I saw one post for Apple Cider on the basal cell carcinoma page. I followed the instructions on this post and my basal cell reacted identically to the treatment prescribed in the above post. Joy...

The only thing I did differently is, occasionally, I secured an apple cider vinegar-moistened gauze pad across the basal cell and secured it with 3M Micro-Pore tape. I slept with this a couple of nights along with applying the apple cider with a dropper several times during the day. It was an easy process.

The healing started about the third day. It turned bright red and then a scab began to form. When the effect of the apple cider vinegar starts working, there is no doubt. You can feel it "reaching out" across the area - something like tentacles following the basal cell. It was similar to a low grade headache - which I was delighted to have as I could tell the apple cider was working.

I'm on the very end of my second treatment to remove a tiny bit of what was almost completely removed during my first treatment! It's all but gone I.E., down to a pinhead-sized scab.

The resulting healed skin is a bit pink but it is fading. I used only Raw Organic Apple Cider and generic 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. I estimate this saved me around $2000 in clinic costs.

I took a series of photos I could possibly share, but I'd like this final phase to complete which should be in the next couple of days. The scab that forms is not like a typical scratch that heals. It's very hard and takes time to complete healing to the point the scab falls off naturally.

As a lifelong Florida resident I have dealt with my fair share of Basal and Squamous Cell Skin Cancers. I went the traditional route with surgical removal by a dermatologist and have the unsightly scars to show for it. On one visit my dermatologist pointed out a Basal Cell growth on the tip of my nose. I was horrified. I know what the scars looked like and there was no way I was willing to have the tip of my nose cut off. I did my research and found a book written by Dr. I Williams and Linda Comac called the Skin Cancer Answer, The Natural Treatment for Basal and Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Keratoses. In the book they reference an over the counter cream, from Australia. This cream is made from plant based glycoalkaloids. I found the cream offered by a company in New Jersey. Needless to say I ordered a tube (34.95 plus 5.95 shipping) and used it as directed. I applied twice a day and covered with a Band-Aid. I did this faithfully for 30 days. The basal cell carcinoma on the tip of my nose scabbed up and fell off, leaving healthy pink skin behind. I returned to my dermatologist. He inspected the site, scratched his head and proclaimed me basal cell free. It's interesting to note that Australia is the skin cancer capital of the world where this cream was developed from a common weed. (Solanum extract) It's good stuff and Australia has done the clinical trials to prove it.

Have you tried yet a skin cream, comes in a 20ml tube, that was first mentioned back in the mid-1990's by Dr. David Williams? Its active ingredient , a plant molecule glycoalkaloid, was isolated from a natural weed plant in Oz. This molecule is also found in eggplant. In the cream this active compound is called BEC-5, and it's so potent it's in it at 0.005%. It sailed through its clinical trials to approval, and is in fact now an Rx only medicine in many countries, but not USA (yet).

It treats BCC, SCC, actinic keratosis and keratoacanthomas, but not melanoma and does not leave a cratered scar as bloodroot sometimes can do.

There is at least one USA website, in SanDiego (area code 858) that sells it online. It isn't cheap, about $120/tube.

I have had 15 surgeries on my face for basal cell cancer, 7 have been MOHS. My father doesn't have a scarless spot on his face. Yes, western medicine has it's good points, but I'm afraid of looking like a plastic surgery disaster. I've used Efedex and Aldara, had freezing done, etc. But these have only driven the cancer into the deeper layers of my skin (per Derm. ) I too, would like to know if all these claims of healing have been verified by biopsy or the Derm.

I would have never known I had a BCC unless my dermatologist pointed it out... the removal was completely painless on par with having teeth cleaned..

Point of story, don't completely blow off Western Med, my experience is that most doctors are trying to help...

How did you know that the Basil Cell was all gone? Did you have another biopsy done?

I have a already had stage 3 melanoma and have had many Basil cells cut out. I now have a big spot just above my ankle that has to be removed. I am going to a plastic surgeon to have this removed because of the size. I am planning on using the cider vinegar for the next couple weeks prior to having it done in hopes that is becomes smaller so they won't have to take out as much and leave such a big scar.

I have had basal cell 4 times. I had surgical removal for two. That was the pits I assure you and left scars and was expensive. So the next time, I simply applied applecider vinegar full strength about 5 times per day until the basal cell spot scabbed over pretty good. For me, it took about 5 weeks. I simply dabbed some on the basal cell with my finger by wetting my finger tips and then dabbing some of the applecider vinegar liberally and directly to the basal cell site. It might sting just a little tiny bit. Leave it alone and let it dry naturally. Do the applecider vinegar about 5 times per day until the basal cell will scab over pretty good. It will start to appear as a whitish grainy looking scab and will be hard to the touch. The spot might just turn a purplish and not scab and that is OK also. It will not hurt. Then I left it alone for about two weeks and then I started to apply 3 percent hydrogen peroxide to the scab about 5 times per day at first and then decreased down to once a day until the scar was gone. I simply applied the peroxide with my fingers liberally to be sure the scab was totally wet. And they are gone and have not returned in over a year. The basal cell is totally healed and not noticeable at all.
