I also have lipedema. What I can tell you has slowed the progression and even reversed it quite a bit is using my CHI MACHINE twice per day at the max time frame and doing full body CRYOTHERAPY. I do cryo from 3 to 6 minutes per day. I eat well and work out here and there when I find the time. The moment I stop the above....man, it comes back with vengeance!!!! I have stage 1 with a 25 inch waist and large bottom (40 inches), thighs, calves, lots of fat around the knees and lots of fat pockets all over my legs. This is the vengence I speak of. My mom and sister both have it although my older sister and younger brother do not.

Can you tell me what type of cryotherapy you use? You said you do it twice a day. Is that ice bath or what please? Thank you. Wanda

I just realized I have this. Was in a car accident 1 year ago and maybe that brought it on from stress? I've also had a lot of problems since the imposed event in 2021. I just noticed this past Spring trying some shorts on, and I couldn't believe what my legs looked like: swollen lumps up past my butt, and down to my ankles, some above my elbows. Not bad in the morning but far worse by evening...crushing. I'm in rehab for my accident and exercising hard, but this is not going away, and may be worsening, so I am going to do all I can to strengthen cirulation with Cayenne, seaweed, lymph massage (will learn so can practice on myself), rebounder. Also looking into Fisiten, licorice tea, flavinoids (berries), Rutin-rich foods as above. Summary of my plan, which I have not implemented yet, have been researching: exercise, balanced diet with Seaweed and Cayenne daily

You can count my bone in the upper body, but my legs are fat. Not much can be found on the Internet. There are some treatments and supplements that might help.

Hi, please add lipedema as an ailment, not to be mistaken for lymphedema.

It's the one that's also called painful fat syndrome and gives you huge lower legs even if you have gastric surgery or are starved.

It's so sad there are no post or comments here. I'm pretty bad but now I'm sure this is the cause of my shame. I'm going to go hard out to help others and will start with my rife machine, (spooky 2) and see how I go and work on lymphs plus try vegan/ plat based as keto got me nowhere.

Water fasting 11 days cured my severe concussion of two years so maybe that can help too....

I have Lipedema, and doing manual lymphatic drainage and will receive compression garments soon. I am type 5 and at stage 3. My doctors have always told me I'm obese. My frame is thin up top and my legs very large. Sadly as I've not been treated, it's now affecting my arms, abdomen, etc. Were spending approx $200 a week on treatment just to try to stop this going to stage 4. My doctor has been no help, but when I went to a church camp, a doctor there, diagnosed me with Lipedema.

On Thursday I hope my own GP accepts I have Lipedema and possibly write a prescription for Compression garments. I've been quoted $350 just for my legs.

I have the same thing. I'm very thin on top and waist and have thick legs fat around my knees and very painful calves and big ankles. Have had this for years and I'm 65 it's getting worse. I have a vibration plate machine and rebounder. I wear compression socks I'm wondering if taking MMS would help

I have lipedema. I have had it since I was in my early 20's but I didn't know that is was a condition or what was wrong with me until now. For me it gets worse with changes in my hormones, ie. birth control pills, childbirth, aging, etc. I slowly gained weight over time in my legs and butt, then it starts going into my arms. I can turn my affected areas into muscle by working out at the gym making my body firm, but it did not get rid of my size created by whatever the lipedema does to me. However, my weight stayed the same, it was the oddest thing and didn't make sense to anyone. Cardio did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't want to look like a big woman body builder, so I needed to stop. As soon as I stop body building, I lost the muscle with 20 lbs the first month and then my body went back so same obese look. When I was in my late 30's a friend turned me onto a diet pill through a doctor and a wellness clinic. I started taking phentermine, got a divorce (less stress), drank more wine (resveratrol) and beer (estrogen), drank protein drinks (metafast) breakfast & snack, ate 1 meal a day either lunch or dinner (usually a green salad with chicken), drank coffee and had 1 splurge meal a week, usually breakfast. I went out with my friends and danced often. I lost 50 lbs in about 6 months! My legs no longer rubbed together at the thigh! I did not have pain in my legs, butt and lower back! I felt wonderful. A feeling I had not experienced since I was in my teens. I fit into clothes from high school. I finally wore shorts in public again! Unfortunately, I got pregnant at 40 and the hormones and stress brought the lipedema bounding back fast. I gained the 50 lbs back in the first 3 months of pregnancy and another 50 lbs by the time I had my baby. My doctor gave me a hard time and I left the office crying after every visit. My doctor did not understand I wasn't eating too much or just sitting around. I have always been a very active person and nothing I have done ever could get the weight off of my legs. I am not an obese person and am very tiny when thin, I have a small bone structure, and the weight is very painful to carry or touch. I had other health issues during and after my pregnancy from being so overweight and infections give to me by the hospital where I almost died. Residual problems from "life saving" medications while in the hospital have left me with new health issues on top of the lipedema. My weight went down and then climbed back up and I was heavier than at my full term of pregnancy. Twelve years later I am on phentermine again and am in my 50's now, it keeps the weight from piling on, gives me energy, I have lost about 40 lbs over the past year or two and I am still about 80 lbs overweight. The doctor will not prescribe phentermine once a person hits 60 years old so I am determined to lose more weight before then. What I will do after I am 60 I do not know but I hope to figure out before then. I recommend the phentermine to everyone with this lipedema problem and wish everyone good luck.

Hi I rhink I am stage 1.

It seems to be venous insufficiency is in most cases, which I have..but my mom never had it, and had bad varicose veins.

Anyways the fact that your body is sore to the touch and bruises easy for most lipedema says mass inflammation.

I wonder if using yohimbine taken out of capsules and mixed with coconut oil as its a mct used as energy and add dmso 50/50 to deeply penetrate into fat then exercise..would help.

Self experimentation of course

look up yohimbine it burns certain types of bodyfat especially on thighs, butt as they carry certain receptors in women that are resistant to fatloss.

2 caps 30 min before exercising long steady cardio.45 to 1 hour

is most effective if you decide to take internally
