re: vinegar for night lower leg cramps... It doesn't matter what kind of vinegar you use. Mustard works if you use the kind that contains vinegar. I mix an ounce (approx) of wine vinegar (it's in the cupboard) with some water and drink. I don't measure. Cramps go away in 15 seconds.

I've had a lump in my neck for the past few years caused by a chronic muscle spasm. Yesterday, my acupuncturist injected a shot of Vitamin B12 directly into the lump and it disappeared instantly. No more muscle spasm, no more lump. The effect was instantaneous.

After suffering terribly for years with muscle cramps everywhere ex: calves of my legs, bottoms of my feet, back, and neck. I finally discovered that Vit E 400IU, 1000mg calcium, and 1200mg of magnesuium daily, was my answer. Said it could take up to two weeks to start working, however, for me, it worked the very first night. This has worked for me for about eight years now. I have been able to cut back on magnesium to about 500mgs. a day now.
Vitamins C, D and E

Sometimes I wake up at night with one or both feet cramping and sometimes it is my ankle or leg cramping. Sometimes if I am in bed for 1/2 hour or so before going to sleep my feet will cramp. Someone said stretching your feet and legs will help but it didn't. Usually I will walk around for awhile and usually take Vit C, D and E. Within 5 minutes the cramping sometimes stops. During the time I was healing my liver from jaundice I was taking 45-60 ounces of carrot juice a day and then I had a lot of cramps.
Walk

When I am awakened at night with leg cramps, the only thing that work for me is to put on shoes (with support, not just bedroom slippers) and walk around the house. Use normal steps as if you were walking down a sidewalk; it seems to "reset" the muscles. I've tried all the other remedies and this is the only one that works consistently.

It works....
My search for a remedy to my thigh muscle cramp led me to this thread... I had some Apple Cider Vinegar sitting out here which I used for my Gastric problem. Mixed it up with some honey and water and drank it. 20 minutes later the pain is gone.
This is the second time ACV has saved me. I had big relief from my Gas and heartburn issues with ACV before.
Just try it for yourself.. Make sure to get an organic version of ACV.

My mother, father, and grandmother use white vinegar for muscle cramps. When one attacks - they get a couple of paper towels and pour the white vinegar on til soaked and apply directly to the cramp. This works everytime. Hope it helps others.

Wintergreen Essential Oil for muscle spasms. I have MS and naturally muscle spasms that go with it. When that happens, I hit it with Wintergreen Essential Oil, which works miracles. In the seldom event that doesn't work...I'll grab my Frankincense EO....that'll work too!
