This question is for Anejette, I read your wonderful recipe for the face, but I'm confused on the steps, or after putting the brown sugar you have to clean your face before putting H2O2, clean the face again and apply the egg. Could you please help clarify the steps.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I found the solution to beautiful, young looking skin. I am 45 years old and I am always mistaken for being early to mid 30's. The other day at the doctor, my nurse said I looked late 20's and wanted to know what skin care creams I use. Here's my secret... I don't do anything. I do not put a thing on my skin. I started doing this in my late 20's. I rinse my skin with purified water, gently blot dry and leave it to air dry the rest of the way. If my skin is peely or a bit dry, I take a towel and rub it gently to exfoliate after a rinse.

I do not go out in the sun, if I do, I use a good sunblock. That is it. When I turned 38, I thought maybe I should start using creams, just to preserve my skin. So I went to the makeup counters and tried out everything expensive. They actually made me look stretched and dried out, and less youthful.

Another thing to consider is this, if you want to look healthy and have a glow on the outside, it's what you put into your body that gives you that glow and healthy look. No cream or regimen can do that for you long term.

Hi Robyn, There is no transcript of this particular interview that I know of. But, if you need to stay away from electricals, you can go to the bookstore and get her book "The Baby Boomer Diet" which are the subjects she was covering in this talk. She also has a book called "The Body Ecology Diet" which was her first. I have given several of these away to friends. The first one I have for myself and now use it to refer to. That was the book that spurred me into action to search for stem cell therapy.

Another point is, her manufacturing plant is in Australia, though I don't know where it is exactly, so she travels there quite often. You might want to keep an eye out because she may make appearances in your area to speak. She travels all over the world teaching about health. I have seen her speak several times and she always has new and information I can learn more from. Hope this helps, Lisa

Garlic
Posted by Mark (Las Vegas, Nv) on 06/20/2012

Garlic is not for everyone. It's also an irritant and can be toxic. It kills brain cells according to the late Bob Beck that invented the Silver Pulse and Beck Protocol.

He said that many, many years ago the airforce would not let pilots fly after eating it because it killed brain cells.

I know personally I can't stand the stuff. It will inhibit my digestion, and make me burp all night long and give me horrible breath. I have to use it very sparingly and be careful. I'm not allergic to my knowledge.

I never have thought it was as great as people say it is. So many better things for fighing viruses and infections without the negative effects of Garlic.

Like Collodial Silver, Lugol's Iodine, Coconut Oil, ACV, Olive Leaf Extract and the list goes on and one. It would be my last choice.

Someone commented on the softness of my skin (I am 48) I was surprised, though I attributed it to the occasional omega 3 supplements, pycnogenol, and turmeric I regularly take. Pycnogenol has some studies behind it for it's benefits for skin elasticity.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Oil Pulling, Coconut Oil
Posted by Caitlin (Austin, Tx) on 03/24/2012

Hi Linda: Many people on this site recommend coconut oil for foot fungus. My husband finally tried it (after MUCH conjoling on my part) and within a week, his fungus disappeared. YAY! Once again, earth clinic to the rescue! :)

Now, as far as wheat and many other grains are concerned ....

There's an old, old saying that grains are for cattle. Well man, being omniverous, will try anything that looks edible and staves off starvation. Hence, we began cultivating and eating grains. The problem was that some people, genetically intolerant to grain protein, could not make the cross-over to grain consumption and experienced great problems. They developed huge stomachs (the body's way of adding water to protect the stomach), tummyand skin diseases, and other inflammation problems associated with grain consumption. I'm a decendant of one of those unlucky people and have suffered with this all my life - since I was a preemie baby. (btw - Preemie babies given grains too early, before their stomachs are mature enough to handle the grain protein, end up with lifelong stomach irritation and pain. ) When you can not tolerate grains, your body manifests this through inflamation such as: pain in joints, runny nose, breast lumps, bad skin, blurry eyesight, itchy scalp, hair loss, stomach pain & bloat, fungus, candida, bad breath and many other awful symptoms. When you get a chance, research Celiac Disease, and IBS (irritated bowel syndrome), and their connection to grain consumption. A great layman's place to start is with the book "Wheat Belly. " My 70ish Mom-In-Law used the non-grain way of eating recommended in this book and lost 20lbs in 1 month AND had 1 half reduction in her lifelong "basketball" stomach. No more esophagal pain, daily upset stomach, NOR daily diarrhea! So, I guess my answer to your question is simple: If you can tolerate grains, white or wheat - happy eating, you genetically lucky, lucky person! Peace Out.... CAT :)

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by Louwrence (Rustenburg, North West South Africa) on 01/30/2012

Hi Spring, Flaxseed is very high in phytoestrogen even higher than soya 3x, and estrogen dominance leads to a lot of problems in both men & women. Somebody in Canada analyzed the estrogen content of of foods. A lot of pesticides & virtually all plastic contains estrogens so we are are bombarded with estrogens because soya is just about in every product & camouflaged with very fancy names to confuse you.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Oil Pulling, Coconut Oil
Posted by Caitlin (Austin, Tx) on 01/15/2012

Hi! to anwer your 3 questions:

1. I use about 1/2 cup of baking soda to a cup of water. I purchase the BIG boxes at Sam's so it lasts quite a long time. My husband says I always feel soft and smell yummy and fresh.

2. I spray the coconut mixture mostly on my hair though some of the mixture does get on the scalp, which I don't mind. It keeps it soft and supple. I would caution that you use only an organic cologne, not one with chemicals, as CO is a carrier oil. I will add that about once a week or so, before one of my cold water rinses, I dip my fingers in ACV and scrup my scalp. This keeps my scalp supple for hair growth and destroys any parasites, bumps, fleas or mites from my newly adopted cat. I do this when I plan to stay home, as ACV is not pleasant to the senses of everyone who smells it. That smell can last a good hour or two. Also, my cat scratches less with its use as well.

3. Sight: The most significant improvement in my sight happened when I switched to the low-carb diet I described above. Within 2 months, I noticed that my sight was getting better. Getting rid of my inflammatories which includes, , GRAINS, MILK, SODAS did a world of good and is allowing me to lose weight.

Thank you for asking. Peace! CAT

Apple Cider Vinegar, Oil Pulling, Coconut Oil
Posted by Caitlin (Austin, Tx) on 12/23/2011

It is once again winter in Austin and my 56 yr-old dry skin is WAY better now as I am avoiding the foods I am allergic to and using more natural, less severe products. Here is what I now do after 3 years of extensive experimentation.

For daily body washing: (1) I smear coconut or olive oil (1/4 cup) everywhere on my body and face (not eyes). I let it stay on for 3-5 minutes in a warm bathroom. I then scrub my body with a DRY, white washcloth & a damp cotton pad for my face. (I buy cheap white cloths in bulk so that I can throw them away as they get filled with dirt, oil, and dead skin);

(2) I make a simi-thick past of baking soda and water that I handily scrub on my body (face lightly) while standing in the tub. I usually add my favorite ORGANIC scent to this. I rinse this off with very luke-warm water and finish off with a COLD shower. I use an organic, natural deodorant with no odor. Skin Results: Smooth, clean, moist, no longer itching or smelling, invigorated!

(3) Weekly Hair Cleaning: I make a watery baking soda/water cup and poor onto my wet scalp and hair. I scrub my scalp for about 3-5 minutes and smooth thru my hair. I rinse & towel dry. Then, I lightly spray throughout the hair a bottle mix of: 1/4tsp coconut oil to 1/2 cup hot water & a spritz of organic cologne. I let my hair dry naturally. During the week I rinse only with cold water. Results: Very fast hair growth, moistness, no itchy or smelly scalp.

3) Progress of Teeth & Gums: I floss & oil pull every night before bed I still have 2 pockets left but they are not worse. I recently started putting MOM [Milk of Magnesia] in the pockets before bed (as someone suggested) and they are lessening; gum is actually growing back! I lightly brush twice daily with baking soda and sea salt, then, I rinse my mouth with this mixture: 1 tsp. MOM & 1 tsp of Hydrogen peroxide, 2 drops mint oil. (If you have candida, it gets cheesy on the tongue and allows you to scrape it off) Results: Fresher Breath, stronger, brighter teeth and gums.

4) The Norm Daily Diet : 9oz Meat, 1 Fruit, Loads of cooked veggies and salads. WATER Only. I exercise 15 minutes M-Sat. I take 2tsps of ACV morning and bedtime. I eat 1 tsp. Of coconut oil & dash of cayenne pepper with breakfast or in tea. I take the anti-inflammatories Vit-C, A, Quercitin, Bromelin, Curcumin. I keep magnessium oil by my computer and occassionally spray it on my palms.

Results: I'm now within 50lbs of my goal weight. I feel sexy and energetic, fitting size 12-14 clothes rather than 18s-20s. My husband says I look like I'm 30 and now "gaurds" me when we go out.. I don't need my glasses with the computer anymore, just for small reading; my thinking is clearer and, as long as I don't eat my primary allergy/rash triggers (wheat, milk, corn, suger), my skin, hearing, sight, brain, energy, sugar, and mood are about 90% of what they were when I was a youngster. I do sometimes wonder why people (men and women) keep calling me sweety or sweetheart because I'm not THAT tiny and certainly not fragile, yet. :) That, laughingly aside, I'm feelin OKAY and will continue on the good path until I'm done in this life. See ya next year! Merry Christmas to you all and have a great New Year, discovering and enhancing your own path to a fit life. Peace For Us All!

James, you are so right! Here's my experience: I am one year older than my sister and usually people believed we were twins. However, the past few years, people we meet have definitely pinpointed that I'm the older sister. Well, I started ACV in a glass of water about 3 years ago (1Tabsp mornings & before bed - 2 tabspoons give me a tummy ache). Wow! Like you, I have had so many positive changes that now people think I'm the younger sister. The most astounding thing I have noticed is a firming of my facial skin, particularily around my eyes. My body skin looks younger too & my cherokee cheek bones are coming back. PLUS, my joints don't hurt upon waking, sitting, or walking. AND, my hair is growing at an astonishing rate and my nails are stronger. I'm not seeing the weight fall off but I believe as a heavy woman with low muscle mass, if I concentrate on a lower carb diet & muscle toning, that will be accomplished too, though, I did lose an initial 5 lbs that I have not gained back. Because of my younger looks and energy, my sister and now my husband say they are willing to give ACV a try. Apple Cider Vinegar IS truly amazing!

I have been doing Facercise with some success, but the naso labial folds only disappear for about thirty minutes after the exercise. I am searching for a better one. I have always been feeling the effects of gravity on my face all day long, until today. I think it's because yesterday I did the cheek developer lying instead of standing. My face felt much more smiley today; lifted. I am going to get a few more books from the library on this subject , & will report my progress if y'all want. Unfortunately I can't get Eva Fraser's book.

A note on the exercises to get lids to be wide open- The only one that's worked for me is the one from Timeless Face, but I alter the time a little, holding reps 6 seconds, 3 or 4 that way, & then an isometric hold for 25-30. My eyes stayed fully open today for the first time, even when I was very tired.

The Timeless Face exercise for lifting up the mouth corners has always worked for me- Carol Maggios exercise hasn't.

For an exercise for younger hands, go to Carolyn's Facial fitness site.

I have also started Tanaka face massage. This is free on youtube. It feels wonderful.

I did the facial acupressure (lindsey wagner's) for 30 days & had absolutely no change.

I just drink lemonade with sugar, it also contains pectin, citric acid, abscorbic acid, lemon pulp, lemon juice concentrate, water, a few other things in it. I have noticed I like this one best, possibly cuz of the pectin. But lemon (experiment) will tone your skin. It can make you thirsty meaning dehydrate ya a little. So drink some water if it causes too much dehydration. I think of it this way without being scientific. What does lemon do? Puckers things up. Tightens and tones. It also cleans and whitens.

Great advice but what do you mean by lemonade exactly? Maybe a silly question but different countries have different meanings for the same word. Do you mean water and lemon juice like we do in Portugal, or a fizzy sugary drink like in many other countries...

I want to share with you a real help for older looking skin. Drink lemonade. Watch how your pores will reduce, skin tightens up and at the same time your skin stays soft and not too dry with elastin. I have tried so many different things and if they help fine, but this is one that I have learned I can incorporate into any regimen and it is the best toner you can do for the skin. Drink it if you are an older woman in particular. It is also excellent for killing off the feeling of a cold or canker sore. Youll thank yourself drinking lemonade. many other benefits, but for LOOKS its the one. Happy aging!!!!!!!!!!! Birdy

Garlic slows down cell production and enhances the immune system.. Thins the blood and is full of antioxidents.. In a male it can slow the production of sperm, making breeding difficult. If you are going to have surgery knock it off a couple of weeks before, or you might need tranfusions... Apart from those minor concerns, I've been taking it on and off for years and at 64 havent a line on my face... If anyone can get hold of the first edition of Omni magazine.. It has a raft of anti ageing tips.. One of the best was fractionated dna.. Left behind at the bottom of the brewing vessel and usually discarded.. This is about the only source of fractionated dna for stiching breaks in the dna sequence. It can apparently be made into biscuits. Basically it's broken and dead yeast cells. Well worth a bit of research!

To prevent colds and flus food grade hydrogen peroxide works best for me.

It should be diluted to 3.5% and used as ear drops periodically to disinfect ears (common cause of flu), used after cleaning mouth (and for cleaning with baking soda, aluminum free please), also in a nasal spray pump (for that itch in your throat, 1.5% to use as nasal spray-I usually use 3.5% for nose anyway but its kind of harsh- a few drops of tea tree oil in steaming water with towel over head works better for such a use though).

Kepping these three places (ears, nose and throat) disinfected should keep you cold and flu free.

I am amazed at how facial exercises can turn back the hands of time---at least in the face. I have been doing the "Ageless If You Dare" program of facial exercises for about 2 years now and people think I am much younger than my 55 years. It makes sense, we exercise our bodies to keep them youthful looking, the face also has muscles and facial muscles are what keep the skin up. I love the above-mentioned program because it only takes five minutes a day but there are other programs that I'm sure are also just as effective. Do a google search and start researching. You won't be sorry.

Two months passed by quickly.. Exercise in the morning, Eating only when I am hungry.. Past Oct. My BD.. Now on my 84th year.. Body seems to like what I am giving it.. My blood pressure was a little high.. was 156/76..now 131/65.. going into the correct direction.. Still taking PP. ULTIMATE HA 100gr day. The book I am reading on HA- Tell me I will not notice the repair of my bad joint.. But they are getting repaired slowly and will last long time. Long as they do not hurt ok with me. When we are born lots of HA in our body.. So I feel I should replace Daily. But my skin looks good, hair turning seems like too slow to black, barnicles of aging disappearing slowly, ones that are still there the banana skin takes care of them.

Been retired in Thailand two years now.. One month ago ran out of my Vitamins that I brought with me.. Now I am using.. Its amazing.. There is a change.. Energy mostly.. I am taking PP-OmegaBerry with Vit D, Acai, Resveratrol and other good stuff, pill taste like berry going down. Also PP-Perfect Multi Super Greens.. I cannot get over it.. Just loaded with good stuff for the system. Cut my pill consumption from 30 to 9 pills daily.. PP products are loaded with all the good stuff we need.. Yes I can go to the Powered Stuff purchased in Bulk, mix myself.. But always a question in my mind.. Did I mix too much or too little.. So that why I am staying with PP. Products. Everytime I call them.. They give me an answer.. But other Vit. Places you call, you never get an answer as If THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING.

Still on the cinamin/honey mixture.. For my sweet tooth.. ACV is a basic in my house hold. ACV does alot.. And Cancer stays away.. A little tomato juice from time to time. Messages now and then- Stand on the Vibrating macnine for 10 min. 4 times per week.. 3 times a week.. 5 min. Wakes up everything. The way I feel, which is Great.. My Body keeps telling me, That I am doing the right thing. Never sick, no colds, lots of energy, no arthritic pain. That its.. Your are what you eat and put into your mouth.. Health worth more than money.

See you ALL in 2 months or so. A Big Hug to you all, Alfred

Cold Showers

Cold showers have been great for me too! I understand some people's hesitancy to hop into a cold show at first. What I do is start it out warm- not hot because those really hot showers just dry your skin up and I feel like they drive my body temperature up too. Instead, I start it out just warm enough to feel nice, then gradually cool it down as I am washing my hair & face, then by the time I get to the end of the shower, it's completely cold. I make sure to rinse out my hair completely with cold water, til there is no warmth running out of it anymore. My skin has definitely been more moist & smooth. My hair also feels much nicer- combining it with some of the natural shampoos talked about in other parts of the site, my hair is feeling much more soft and clean. I don't wake up the next morning with that gunky feeling in my hair. Cold showers take a little getting used to, but I definitely recommend trying it for a few days!

My Secrets to Eternal Youthfulness

1. Do not smoke, drink, take any drugs, swear or have a negative or combatative personality. Be good in your habits and thinking. Live at peace with the world and yourself.

2. Eat a 100% healthy diet. This means a vegetarian or vegan diet, low to no salt, sugar, yeast. Eat alot of whole grains, nuts, seeds and legumes, fruits, veggies, soy products. Avoid foods you are allergic to, even slightly. Use only canola oil which has a very low level of saturated fats and drink a glass of water, herbal tea or juice a day.

3. Exercise regularly and moderately. I aim for 3 aerobic workouts for 20 minutes and 1 strength and weight bearing workout a week and 2 yoga or other stretching workouts a month.

4. Get plenty of rest, sleep and do not give in to stress. Take your time and value your privacy and space.

5. Have a spiritual base in your life. It can be anything positive like time spent with your children or pets, going to church, creating peaceful and life enriching environments, volunteering, praying or reading about religions. Connecting with the higher powers of love and giving and sharing help alot in this world and can aid and strengthen you.

6. Laugh, live, love and learn.

7. Take care of yourself inside and out. Aim for natural cures including massage, rest, water therapy, home and natural remedies, vitamins supplements. Use only organic, eco and cruelty free products and avoid chemicals and harsh ingredients such as fragrances.

I am 43 and am completely wrinkle free and youthful looking and do not use any moisturizer or special cream. My secret is my diet and it is 100 % vegan and sugar, yeast and salt free (including hidden sodium in soy sauce and baking powder). It is tough not eating any of these ingredients and I have to cook nearly everything I eat but the pay off is that I do not have any wrinkles and do honestly look about at least 10-20 years younger than I am. Sugar, salt and yeast are what causes wrinkles and exterior aging, especially salt, and animals products is what ages us health wise so if you eliminate them from your diet you too can have eternal youthfulness.

Since castor oil does not soak into the skin easily, I decided a couple of weeks ago to rub castor oil on my face and neck before I go on the treadmill in the morning. I figure since I end up sweating so much, when the pores open the oil will absorb into the skin easily which has been the case. If you jog outside then you will look like a grease monkey - so it would not be such a good idea.

Someone in the latest posts wrote about their oil pulling and how they could not get beyond 5 minutes. They asked for suggestions but when I scrolled back up to search for it, it was gone. Anyway, I too had the hardest time the first couple times I tried so was discouraged and didn't take it up until 6 months later desperate to finding something to relieve my hip pain. One day on this site reading the oil pulling testimonials, I thought I'm a fool for not giving this a chance and started again determined to make it work. Well, I have not given it up because the results were miraculous for me. I have been doing it steadily now for about 2 months. What I do is oil pull first thing in the morning while I read email, garden, play a game, surf the internet, read Earth Clinic, etc. Getting your mind off it really helps. I found that if I focused on the oil pulling I have the urge to gag and spit it out. Hope this helps. Keep at it though, it's worth it- at least in my experience.

Neck Massage With Castor Oil

Hi, I cannot agree more, the neck seems the first to fall! I have just found this site in the last week, after searching everywhere for natural remedies bought on by the seeing my neck in a photo. I have taken photos and started ACV/ VCO internally and externally last week, so hope to see changes over the next few months. Also I am trying oil pulling, but so far have not been able to last longer than 5 minutes! Any tricks to keep it in longer?

I have Hashimoto (no thyroid action) so I am still taking throxine, just ensuring I leave 4 hours before ACV drink.

Does anyone have a face lightening recipe for age spots? I am rubbing ACV and lemon on the area at present.

And with everyone else a big THANKYOU for this site - I am addicted!

Neck Massage With Castor Oil

Thank you for reminding me about the neck! I massage my face every night after showering with castor oil but have not been applying it to my neck. The castor oil is amazing! I have given up my expensive creams because it works even better and my skin is soft and dewey. The tricky part is getting the timing right. I need to apply the castor oil early enough in the night so that it has a chance to absorb into the skin, otherwise I make my pillow all oily. I have tried to put a towel on the pillow to absorb the oil, but I wake up with towel lines on my face and they don't go away for at least an hour!

I couldn't agree more. The neck is everything. I have a friend who had a face lift - her neck gives it all away. Can't wait to hear how you do with caster oil. Good luck!

I have been looking over your skin and fountain of youth remedies. What surprises me is that no one is mentioning the neck! I have come to conclusion after looking at myself in the mirror and people-watching that the neck gives it all away. It doesn't matter how smooth your face is, if your neck is wrinkled and has lost elasticity, you can look years older than your age! I am 37 years old and my neck looks like it's been through the wringer. When people guess my age they guess older, not younger, even though I have no wrinkles!!! I don't know if this will make a difference, but I am started to massage my neck every night with castor oil. I will let you know if it works. I would like to know if people agree with my observation or if I am loco en la cabeza!!!

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by Gem (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) on 07/30/2009

Flaxseed oil is used to make linolium {lino used as a floor covering} Lino is oxidized linseed oil. Flaxseed/Linseed is a highly volatile oil (oxidises easily). If you must use it, only buy cold pressed oil in a dark bottle and store it in your refrigerator. Throw out any unused linseed oil after 3 weeks. Otherwise you will just be making lino on your blood vessels. The most volatile oil of all, is canola oil. The most stable oil is coconut oil.

I read somewhere that cold showers/baths has an alkalinising effect on the body. Cold helps to balance the body's pH level. Great in theory, but it is winter here now and I just can not bring myself to such torture as a cold shower. My 4 year old grandson insists on having cold baths....his daddy practices natural medicine and also has cold showers. I have never known my son in law to be sick and his skin is amazing.

Hi Ms. Sweetie, To correct the constipation problem I add a small packet of powdered fiber. It totally disolves and has no taste. Just make sure to drink plenty of water. I loved the recommendation someone on this board gave about using a large bottle of water, adding the ACV, any flavoring (I use a very small amount of juice) and now 1 packet of fiber. According to the fiber directions you can use up to three packets a day but I find there is no need to use that much. Some of the new fiber products are flavored and a friend told me it's just enough flavor. Just sip from the bottle all day long. I also put ACV in V8 juice, once a day. LOVE IT!!! BP came way down, skin is healing and I have amazing energy. Thanks everyone for your help on this board!

I started taking a mixture of ACV in a glass of water a few weeks ago but I feel that it may be causing constipation. Has this happened with anyone else or do you know what I can do to prevent it? Thanks!

Melatonin

I have found that Melatonin, besides being an excellent sleep aid, is also an excellent Anti-Aging agent. The reason for this is that Melatonin, along with vitamin C and E, is an antioxidant and prevents oxidative damage. Melatonin influences our biological clock, affecting the way we age, and controls sleep patterns. Melatonin levels drop as we age, which may explain why sleep patterns change.

Raw Food Diet
Posted by Catlin (Austin, TX) on 06/19/2009

Hi Preet: I acknowledge your skepticism. If I had not just gotten a bone-straight-to-the-root perm, I would agree. But after 4 days on RAW, I could FEEL AND SEE that inch of soft new-growth, healthy virgin hair. I'm aware that the norm for hair growth is, more or less, up to 6 inches a year. I'm a 4-5 incher per year at best and that's why this was SO astounding. It NEVER occurred before or since my 4 day experiment with RAW. Such an unusual happenstance, a sure thump to the noggin, showed I was seriously lacking nutrients for better hair growth as well as better health.

Oh dear! before I forget, something else happened. My husband, daughter and I were driving to the bookstore on my 4th day and as GOD IS MY WITNESS my vision suddenly brightened and, like an old wily coyote binocular experience became extremely focused and my ears popped; in that order. Colors were seriously brilliant and brighter, as if I had been seeing at half clarity all along and sounds got instantly louder as if my ears were suddenly unplugged. I sat there a moment, without speaking, taking it all in. To say I was astounded would be an understatement! I tried to explain what was going on to my husband and daughter who was in the back seat, but they laughed and looked at me as if I was making it all up to convince them to go RAW. I wasn't, this actually happened. I ALSO had never experienced THIS before or after going RAW. Another thump to the noggin, perhaps? Saying this now, remembering it now, leads me to conclude that incorporating lots of raw into the diet is the way to go. Hope I haven't confused anyone, but it's all true. Thanks, and Peace Out -CAT

Well, while raw food is healthy and is helpful in alleviating many health problems, an inch of hair growth in 4 days is not possible.

A RAW FOOD DIET

I once read of a group of pure raw foodists who, after many years on this healthy diet, began feeling decidedly ill, with declining health. They found that their B12 and iron stores were extremely low despite eating high protein vegetables like sprouted grains and exotic fruits and taking B12 shots. They decided to try 3oz of high quality lightly braised liver which is full of iron and B vitamins. Some tried cottage cheese. They were astounded with the results which included complete alleviation of their sick feelings. These old dudes began advocating eating a small amount of meat or cottage cheese at least once a week. Still, there are a lot of dogmatic purists out there who believe in only raw fruits and veggies. I found that they have no answer for genetic allergies which can cause many health problems as well as death. For some, allergies go away on raw as the stomach gets better and some not. There are sooooo many raw food books at health stores and on amazon and the diet is all over the net. Just read and find something that suits you and your lifestyle.

I personally decided after much experimentation and research that what works best for me with diabetic genetics is the following: 1 fruit, large amounts of raw salad, raw juices, and 3-6 oz of cooked meat daily. This works because I'm totally allergic to, in all their forms, wheat, soy, corn, oatmeal, nuts, seeds, egg whites, oranges and all milk products. I will say one thing; the first time I tried raw juices and it was just for 4 days, my hair grew an inch. I know this because I had a brand new straight perm and at the end of 4 days, I had an inch of coiled new growth all over my scalp. So raw is extremely nutrient dense. Research and experiment with what works best for your own body with its unique chemistry and genetic inheritance. Raw does works but follow the rules that work for you.

Hello. This is a wonderful site. I have been reading about the many uses of apple cider vinegar and keep it handy. I know that it makes the body more alkaline as it should be, but it also abates inflammation in the body. For years I have had joint pains on and off (sickle cell trait), and last sunday had a flare up. During the night it was difficult for me to move in the bed because of my left knee. In the morning when I got up to get ready for church, I had about 3 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water, just before I went and took a shower. By the time I left for church my knee pain was gone. This stuff is great. My dad was also complaining of back and knee pains and I told him to start drinking ACV daily- he no longers complains. I have been using ACV and 3% percent peroxide (50/50)with occasional tea tree oil for a fungus of my big toe nail- it is clearing up nicely. Thanks earth clinic.

Dr. Barry Sears has not been awarded a Nobel Prize. His theories were inspired, in part, by the 1982 Nobel Prize-winning research surrounding eicanosoids. This was NOT Dr. Sears' research.

There is extensive research documenting the beneficial properties of flaxseed and flax oil.

When you are on raw foods, how can you be sure you are getting all the nutrients that is needed? I am interested in going raw for a while. Is there a food chart of the foods to eat to make sure you get the proteins and nutrients that is needed? Please advise on where to get more info on raw foods. Thanks

I was once vegetarian for about a year but had to quit because I was always dizzy, lethargic, and moody. My hair began thinning at that time, too. Turns out I have low iron assimilation as well as Nut, milk, gluten/protein intolerances. Ion pills gave me migraines. I had these problems as a baby; mom, bless her heart, didn't know this as she happily bottle-fed an immature, colicky gut and fed me regular food too early. I made sure my daughter was breastfed and that her first meals were not grain or cow's milk based. Warm stewed apples with a dash of cinnamon is a great dish to start a breast-feeding young one on. Now, she does not have the stomach problems that I have. She simply glows and she does still avoid excess milk and wheat. She mostly eats and makes chi/thai food.

You are right about a raw food diet; it does work! I did this for a week many years ago and I looked incredibly younger, seeing a difference after only 4 days. People thought I was my husband's daughter. But, it was soooo hard to maintain alone and with my low iron problems. My body craves a little protein and feels great when it gets it without grains or milk, my nemeses.

Interestingly, I once did a 30 day fresh carrot and veggie juice fast before a birthday; it was enlightening. I had to take an enema every other day as the bowel system functions less during this time. After the 3rd day I was not hungry and became committed to the full 30 days. BUT, around the 21st day - OH MY GOODNESS - I had an overwhelming desire to hit the toilet and the black tar that came out of ME for 20 straight minutes was astounding. I had NO idea how clogged and rimmed my colon had become with years of viscous, putrid, tarry offal. It wasn't pretty and it smell to high heaven; my husband opened all the windows. Afterwards, I had this overwhelming sense of spiritual lightness and a desire to finally eat. Elated, I goofed and ate pizza! Go Figure an Idiot! That cleansing experience was a wake up call that I ignored. So now, with diabetes dogging me I am committed to getting this body to a place it has always wanted to be. I totally get it that on this planet it is the ONLY thing that is truly MINE. It is the temple that houses ME and I've kept it very unclean and I reflect this. Well, enough is enough. As a friend once said, "Cat, we're not 16 anymore and our bodies are telling us this every day. We gotta listen." Sooooo, I'm listing now and I've made my body a LIFE PROMISE and I'm getting it together. THANKS BODY for waiting on me. :)

i'm 48 plus and people regularly tell me i look like i'm in my mid 20's maybe early 30's,i can't say myself, because i'm so use to 'inspecting me' but i'd love to share the condensed version of what i do- first, i have to admit that, my health regime is a 24/7 lifestyle, my approach starts with my mind-i am really into training the brain-rewiring how i think and i trust the bodies innate intelligence to guide me to the appropriate thing to do-so, for example- at bedtime, in the morning and at regular breaks throughout my day i am in the habit of feeding information messages like-my beauty is increasing-i am always amazed how my body responds, you have to relax and really allow and receive... it's an absorption - so, i start my day with a large glass of water or two mixed with a little apple cider vinegar followed by a large mug of green or black organic tea with milk/honey- 3 amla tablets and 3 aswaghandha shatavari tables then i settle down to my creation thoughts and meditation= as far as diet is concerned-i drink carrot juice usually mixed with whatever i fancy, maybe a little beet apple celery or cucumbers, everyday day a large glass is enough-i do alot stretching - eat organic vegetarian-several little meals a day- rarely eat after 4pm i think i'd feel to health-nerdy if i didn't eat some junk, so i eat some junk organic junk-once a week or twice a month maybe, pizza, chips, fried stuff, cookies, chocolate whatever, i drink lots of water-water with a splash a apple cider is a wonder-...for little under eye lines i disappear them with a concentrated seaweed powder mask -fenugreek paste works and black tea splashes are great-i use almond and rose then this lovely turmeric sandlewood cream under make up -oh there's more-i drink herb teas like raseberry red clover once a month make a tea out of tumeric root and cinnamom bark i usually drink this once a week- take b vitamins and multi vitamins-i know it sounds full on-but i love health

Fountain of Youth:

I sometimes take ALA (alpha lipoic acid) along with a teaspoon of Omega 3 oil just before bed. I take half of a 300mg ALA time released tab.
I experience a better dream state, and calmer mind..(less inflammation)

Taking it with the oil may help it's effects on the brain. (a full dose of 300mg seems too much, you should experiment. Some have reported muscle cramps
with ALA, and yes, I have noticed this too...make sure you are getting your magnesium, potassium. etc.

(re: omega oils, prefer brands that are distilled, with Thyme oil to protect)

also

...lots of water, the EC suggestion of 2tsp ACV sipped throughout the day is great..

Lots of color in the diet, small meals, low glycemic foods, turmeric! & anti inflammatory herbs...develop close relationships..(never show up to an invitation empty handed).

I m actually 44 years old this year and have a 13 years old son but everyone thinks i m nothing over 25 or 26 and whenever they meet me with my son ppl always ask if he is my brother and i always get them saying that i m too young to have a such a teenage son. My secret to the youthful appearance (and i have energy of a 25 years old too) is i am a vegetarian, i eat lots of raw vegetables and fruits, i mean really plenty of fruits and juices and salads in my diet. I use only olive oil in any cooking, and i dont use any kind of salad dressing but instead i top up my salad with almond nuts and its not only healthy but also very very yummy. I take low fat yogurt daily. I never miss my green vegetables too, i have kale and spinach just lightly cooked with garlic daily and plenty of it. My weight never goes up and i m slim. I take a lots of garlic too. I drink plenty of water. I drink 500ml of green tea daily. I think more than chemical facials and other expensive skin care, what we eat is more important to determine our appearance and well being. use almonds nuts blended with milk into paste to apply to face for a about 15 mins and i wash off with warm water to get a clean healthy skin and beautiful skin. Apply raw coconut milk on face and lips and let is on for about 15mins and wash off, u will get a beautiful beautiful glowing skin.
