Hi please post this, just edit the language if you have too, but I think ppl will appreciate it. cheers.

Molluscum Contagiosum

A cure using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and nail/needle core removal .

prevent infection spread with Alcohol and antiseptic powder.

Writing this as of day 4 from positive doctor diagnosis, approximately 4 months from when the first bump appeared. Feeling pretty positive at this stage, enough to want to get this out there and help others as soon as I can.

Ok firstly let me just say a big thanks to all those that took the time to write on the internet their successes and failures with this problem. An especially big thanks to all those that put a bit of humour in it as after all laughter is the best medicine.

Secondly I'm not an idiot, I'm a pretty clued up guy, I've learnt a thing or two about life as well, sometimes when you ask the universe a question it gives you back an answer.

I broke up with a girlfriend about 6 months ago, I was looking at porn in the meantime, my conscience was telling me this isn't right, sure the women were of age it was pretty standard stuff, but I kept asking myself is porn wrong? I laid off it for a month or so, then got back into it.

That's when the universe gave me my answer, porn is wrong it exploits women and puts them in positions where they are susceptible to sexually transmitted diseases like MC, but also all the other much worse ones. I don't think sex is wrong or having fun or anything like that, but an industry and a society that risks health for pleasure needs to question itself.

So that's what I've learned out of all this lay off the porn everyone spread that message.

Anyway, Firstly I knew this had a high likelihood of working as I once had a wart when I was a kid and my mum told me to put a banana peel on it and cover it with a bandaid, I did and the wart was gone in a week.

So rewind 4 months, I notice a bump right at the end of my foreskin in the shower, thinking it's just a pimple I poped that sucker but left the core

This was my mistake, if I had of taken the white core out and thoroughly disinfected, the surrounding area I probably would have been ok, but I didn't know I was dealing with this sneaky little pest. I left it and 3 months later 1 had turned into 8, mostly only 1-2mm but one was closer to 3 or 4mm. I'm worried its genital warts so I go to the doc, and he says It's "MC , it'll take care of itself over time, don't have sex there's not much else you can do maybe aldara". But I still think there is something I can do, cause I've read all the messages of people online, and I know the banana skin trick works. Now the reason I think the doctors say this is they're covering their own asses, they can't send any Jo off the street home with a bottle of acid and a scalpel and tell them they're a surgeon, of course not.

  1. BUY ACV. Anyway so get the ACV, I didn't get organic, but I did choose the one that the most wisps in it. Now I'm a pretty scientifically minded guy, I trust my own senses. I don't think there's any magic powers in ACV what I think is that it's a mild acid. Also it doesn't stink and stain like dark vinegar, you could probably use this method with other kinds of vinegar and it might still work, but hey why bother when we know ACV works.

  2. APPLY ACV. Put it on little bits of cotton wool till they are reasonably soaked, say one half, and stick them with bandaids to the MCV bumps. I used silver bandaids cause they were there, but I don't think silver really matters that much. If the bumps are on on your dick this isn't gonna be easy, give yourself plenty of time, like an hour, you don't want your flatmate, boss or hotel maid walking in on you. If there on your ass, well you better get a real good friend to help you.

  3. PREVENT SPREAD this shit is called Contagiosum for a reason! Treat it like its Ebola, buy a bottle of medical alcohol and some strips of cloth or what ever and wipe everything down you touch or the MC touches, wash your hands. Get some antiseptic powder the one I got is called medi-pulv it contains chlorhexidine HCL 10mg/g I think this is some pretty amazing shit, look it up on Wikipedia, it actually has antiviral properties as well as anti-biotic. The great thing about the powder is that you can douse your whole body in it and still go to work without being all sticky and crap. If you wear boxes switch to briefs to prevent your dick touching your thigh. Get about 10 pairs, burn each pair after you wear them, haha nah you don't have to, just wash them, you should be ok, this thing shouldn't last more than 24 hours outside of it's human host. Ok so ACV bandaids doused and briefs, go to sleep.

  4. WAIT. Leave it on for 24 hours. When you piss wash your hands hard out, don't do the bandaids so tight you can't piss, you'll swell up like a balloon and the whole thing will explode and you'll be covered in piss and virus, probably another reason why doctors just tell you to keep your damn hands off it.

  5. PREPARE to OPERATE. After 24 hours you're ready to operate, you're gonna be a fricken surgeon here so take this seriously, get all the supplies beforehand and give yourself 2 hours alone, you don't want your mates coming around drunk with Mario cart when you have your pants around your ankles and blood and cotton wool and bandaids all over your cock and balls. Need about 6 cloth swabs per bump I had 9 bumps (found another lil bastard during the operation) I used cotton wool as a blood swab but this is shit because you get covered in fluff, some cloth squares will be better cut up a clean pillow case into small squares if you have to, make sure you have heaps, you're gonna be swabbing and disposing, remember like the girl said treat this stuff as radioactive. The acid (ACV) after 24 hours should have slightly dissolved the tops of the bumps exposing the core, I also think the acid as it works on the skin, may trigger the immune system to work harder in the area, pushing the white head/core out slightly. Now it may very well be that if you just kept the ACV on for a week, the bumps will just go away on their own, which maybe fine, but I also think it might mean they'll fall off and go somewhere in your undies and may spead the virus, so that's why I think the best way is just get rid of the shit as soon as you can. The draw back is it's a bit bloody, and there maybe a risk of normal infection, plus I'm impatient. If you don't think you can handle blood you might just wanna try waiting it out. Ok get some alcohol to wipe away the blood, at first I thought the blood maybe infected, but now I'm not so sure, anyway treat it like it is, you wont be able to keep the blood off you but just wipe it away fast with the alcohol.

  6. CORE REMOVAL. Ok this is it, you're saving your dick here (or whatever part of your body these are on). I had a couple of beers beforehand, you might want a shot of whiskey, depending on how many you have you might want to plan to stage it over a couple nights, all up including prep and clean up I spent about 2 hours on it. At first I screwed up, I went for the biggest one first with a needle, which was probably a mistake. Start with the little ones as they are easy and work up to the big ones when your skilled at it. My big one started to bleed, and I freaked out about the infection, couldn't get the core out kept dropping crap there was a vein right under it too, so I just swabbed it and held it on there to stop the bleeding, core half out feeling defeated. But then I notice the smaller one right next to it, and I remembered how some punk girl wrote she used to just use her fingernails like a white head, so boom I did it, core out stuck to my nail, tiny bit of blood, wiped that crap away on a piece of paper, alcohol swab and then swab to stop bleeding. Now I know it can be done, boom boom boom I do next 7 like it aint no thing, now there's one left, the end level monster, make sure you have got good lighting by the way, I swear these bastards will duck under and try and get away, so boo yah! In with the nails, out comes the core, is that the core? I don't know it looks too small? Check, I don't know is it cotton wool? No it's the core I've done it! Luke just blew up the death star!

  7. CLEANUP. You are still one highly radioactive mofo, wipe away every last bit of blood with alcohol, the bleeding wont completely stop but should slow to a crawl, if you had too much whiskey the blood will be thin, and keep bleeding for longer (btw don't confuse the whiskey for the medical alcohol you're a fricken Doctor now JIM! ). Now because ACV got me into this I figured ACV was gonna get me out, dab a bit on with a cotton bud and then bandaid back up. Douse the crap out of everything with Chlorhexidine or something similar. That means your legs your hands your pubes the carpet your dog everything. Put those briefs back on wash your hands, wash your keyboard, wash your mouse, don't use the same towel twice.

  8. WAIT 24 hours and take the bandaids off and air that bump free bad boy out! Oh yeah! You will have new lease on life now my friend, keep searching for any new bumps, don't ever have sex with anyone you don't completely trust again, unless you want your dick to fall off.

  9. REPEAT. I haven't found anymore, but if any new ones spring up then do the same, it gets too hard go back to the doctor, pay for cyro or laser removal.

  10. LOOK AFTER YOURSELF AND OTHERS eat healthy that means fruit, vege, nuts, legumes breads and cereals, don't eat meat not only is it unhealthy leading to bowl cancer and some instances like chicken full of salmonella, animals don't like it when you scare them into a pen and kill them, just like your pet dog at home they have feelings and can feel pain, I am a firm believer in a kind of karma, if you inflict pain on others, or are indifferent to the infliction of pain upon others the universe will likely try and let you know, like a mirror, how that pain can feel back on you. Ok so your free now go be the best person you can be.

My 4th year daughter diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum , it started with about 25 spots , we take her to the dermatologist , and he adviced us to make a cryotherapy to remove it - it was abad experince for my daughter because it was painful - we did it because it was a fast solution to prevent spreading the virus to other areas on her body , after 2 weeks I noticed a small spots with a numerous numbers all over her hands and legs , we were shoked from that , so we took her again to her dermatologist , he adviced us to paint Benzac 5% all over her legs and arms , of course I did not listen to him , because Benzac 5% it an irritating medicine it will casue a pain and my daughter and she may scratch it - Because of benzac - and this will lead to spread the virus to other areas on her body or to us ...

Since I live in Jordan where dead sea locate in , I know Many people come from all over world to the dead sea to enjoy there and to treat many skin diseases such as psoriasis , even when I was in Jordan - now im living in other country - I used to go with my family and friends to swim in the dead see , and paint our bodies with this mud , By the way this mud is very rich of minerals especially sulfur and it has astrange texture because it lays under the most salted sea in the deepest point in the world , where you cant find and creature live in because of heigh concentration of the salt and minerlas - except some kind of Bacteria where discovered recently - , by the way and many cosmatic companies used this mud in their product ....

so I decided to use Dead Sea mud , and I started to paint my Daughter arms and leg with her cheek ( because it start to appear on that area ) with that mud , when me and my wife finished from painting our daughter , she was look like a Mumy :) .... we left the mud for 15 minutes on her body till it become dried , then we wash her by water and we used Dettol shower gel , after shwer we noticed that the spots become large , inflamed and red , we were woried , I asked my daughter honey do you feel any pain or itching , she said no. after a few hours the spots come back to its normal size and shape , we repeated the treatment for 5 consecutive days , all the spot become dried and their size become smaller , so we decided to stop painting , now most of the spot gone and the remaing is very small , really I was happy for that result , I want to share this experience with all people whom suffering from MC , By the way from my experince Dead see mud will leave your skin clean , soft , without any irritation or dryness , its not toxic like Clove oil non irritanat like Apple cide vineger , Sorry if my english languge was not fluent ....

Betadine Iodine

My son had Molluscum Contagiosum almost 26 years ago. It seemed to appear almost overnight only on his neck. He had over 100 bumps. After a trip to the dermatologist he told us to apply Betadine with a cotton swab daily. The individual bumps became irritated and after he played in the tub (while the lesions were still soft) I would pull out the little core. We worked on it every night and they were gone in no time! Once that core is gone the bump goes away.

A miracle!

Forget ACV. Forget everything you 'think' you know about Molluscum and how people are treating it. If it 'goes away on it's own' how do we know any of these homeopathic treatments are actually doing anything? We might think ACV did the heavy lifting, when really it was your immune system.

And there in lies the true cure. Here is my story, my cure (and it can be yours too):

I wanted to share with you my experience. You've heard it all before, some variation of the following story. Some weird bumps showed up, thought they were (pimples, ingrown hair, folliculitis, herpes, etc), and they spread rapidly much to our alarm. Maybe you worsened it like me and popped and drained it before knowing what was going on.

Then tell me if this sounds familiar. You go to the doctor and they freeze it, curettage it, laser it, chemically burn it, what have you, and then tell you that it will go away on it's own and resolve in time. Easy for them to say. Meanwhile, your inner psychological life is in turmoil. Physicians as a whole decidedly do NOT understand the deep psychological trauma that comes along with this "harmless" disease.

Believe me I know how bad you are suffering. For the first time in my life, I contemplated suicide over this bastard of a disease. My bathroom was an apothecary and wasteland of cotton balls, band-aids, gauze pads, tape, apple cider vinegar, aldara, tweezers, needles, hydrogen peroxide, acycolvir, valcylovir, emuaid, conzero1, tea tree oil and on and on and on. None of it worked.

I'm sorry to say it, but until medical research catches up, pills, creams, physical removal, etc. , are NOT going to handle this for you.

The only thing that can TRULY beat MCV is your immune system.

Until I contracted MCV, I thought I ate pretty healthy, I was in decent shape, worked out, didn't eat to much fatty foods.

BUT I WAS EATING VERY LITTLE TO NO FRUITS, VEGETABLES, NUTS, AND SEEDS. These things contain the core essential nutrients that our immune system has been proven to need in countless medical journals, to function at an elite level.

If you want to beat MCV You need to radically change your diet in order to turbo boost and radically change your immune response. I'm not talking about minor changes, an extra apple, or salad (covered in dressing) here and there. Little changes to your diet will only affect small to no change in your overall immune system response. Only radical changes will affect radical results. Get it?

I went from eating a decidedly american diet of refined carbs and meat to 100% fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds based on the teachings of Dr. Fuhrman's books 'Eat to Live' and 'Super immunity', although the information here is widely available in many other nutritional journals. His was just the one I found first. I AM NOT STUMPING FOR YOU TO BUY ANYTHING, but he has put a lot of the information together in a human readable way that we all can understand. I'll even tell you the core idea of his 'Super Immunity', I feel that he would approve of me sharing this knowledge to help you all heal from this nasty nasty virus.

Say it with me, G-BOMBS. It's the acronym that will (most likely) rescue us from this B. S.

G - Greens (leafy ones, kale, collards, mustard greens, etc)
B - Beans (Kidney, lentils, etc. )
O - Onions (the more variation of onion varieties the better)
M - Mushrooms (the more variation of mushroom varieties the better)
B - Berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
S - Seeds/Nuts (Walnuts, pumpkin seeds, cashews, almonds, etc)

You need to eat all of this stuff in combination so your body is getting all the nutrients from all these items around the same time. Don't overdue the nuts/seeds, they are caloricaly dense and a little goes a long way, but get enough. The rest are hard to really overeat as they are not calorically dense at all, and you can only eat so much Kale before you are full. Fruits and veggies take up a lot of room in your gut. Also sodium is not helpful to your immune system, so try and get the lowest sodium version of all items possible.

Here is a quick starter recipe you can experiment with to get you going:

GBOMBS SOUP Desert:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 red onion, chopped
handful of green onions, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
10 various mushrooms, chopped
1/2 zucchini, chopped
1/2 yellow squash, chopped
handful of peas (optional)
12 ounce can of chopped tomatoes
12 ounce can of kidney beans
6 large kale leaves, chopped
3 cups of vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon of sage
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper
1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper

In a large soup pot, heat the oil over medium and saute the red onion, green onions and carrots until they are soft. Add the mushrooms, zucchini, squash and peas and cook until the mushrooms have released their juices, this will be obvious because all of a sudden there will be a lot of moisture/water in the pot that you didn't add. Next, add the tomatoes, kidney beans, and vegetable broth and cook until heated through. Add the kale leaves and spices and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!

Follow this up with a dessert of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, walnuts and pumpkin seeds and you have completed the GBOMBS. This shouldn't be all you are eating though, keep eating as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible.

Five days later of my new RADICAL 'nutritarian' diet, the MCV stopped spreading for the first time in 6 weeks. I just stared at myself in the mirror, truly in shock. Could it really have been this simple all along? Not only that, but I was LOSING WEIGHT and FEELING FREAKING FANTASTIC. Then the lesions slowly started scabbing over and/or just disappearing. I kid you not my fellow MCVers. Your immune system is so incredible, but it is severely underfunded with the resources it needs to stage it's all out nuclear war on MCV. FUND IT TODAY.

I wish you much love and success, I truly do. You are not alone, there are a lot of us out there suffering. WE CAN GET BETTER!!!!!

FYI I'm not a doctor (like they were any help anyways), I am only sharing what worked for me, I cannot guarantee this will work, but it did for me, in spades. Please make sure you are not allergic to anything in my soup and dessert recipe here.

Homeopathy - Antimonium Crudum 6c

Homeopathic remedy Antimonium crudum 6C, one dose every other day until they have disappeared. If they return at a later date, repeat. My husband woke up with about 100 blisters. Took him to clinic, identified as Molluscum C. No remedy so I looked it up online. One of my fav homeopathic websites is Joette Calabrese's site. Got this remedy, which worked very well (sores healed up and no more new ones). Did it for about two months, quit, but they came back so remedy was resumed. Now they are all gone so trying every three days.

In reply to B (Atlanta),

It is a virus based skin condition so two possibilities that you can discuss with your doctor are iodine or colloidal silver as topical, oral or both. You might also ask your doctor about using DMSO in conjunction with the colloidal silver or iodine for the topical application to help transdermal penetration.

After 9 months of dealing with this awful virus, I found a cure that worked and she was able to fight the virus and the bumps were gone within one week. My daughter contracted molluscum in June 2009. The bumps were concentrated only on her torso under her arm and she never had more than 15 at a time. Sometimes they would spread to her arm but never to any other part of her body.

In February of this year under the advice of her pediatrician, I brought her to a dermatologist who put the extract of a beetle on the bumps- they blistered up and bled and it was not a good experience, one I would not repeat. The blistering also left a scar on her skin. The molluscum did go away in the particular bump that was treated but new bumps came up. I noticed after this that the one bump that she had gotten on her knee began to spread to a few more. She started getting a lot more molluscum bumps- it began to spread like wildfire overnight. I felt I had to intervene and purchased the natural molloscum healing product I saw online- which is basically tea tree oil with some other ingredients. After only one day of application, my daughter woke up the next day with even more bumps all over her knees, feet, and even her fingers- thumb and forefinger- had bumps although I had read that the molluscum does not break through the soles of the feet or the hands. It had also spread to her elbows and I was afraid that it was going to spread to her face since a few red spots had appeared on her cheeks.

I stopped this tea tree oil based treatment, which was very expensive for such a tiny bottle, and researched scholarly articles and came across a study about cimetidine. Apparently children in a clinical study were administered the cimetidine for 6 weeks, in 3-4 doses of 200 mgs per 15 kgs of weight. I bought the drug over the counter, cut it in half, crushed it and gave it to her with a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to mask the taste. I went to her pediatrician with the information and she gave me a perscription which was at the low end of the dose from the clinical trial- equivalent to 400 mgs per day of cimetidine, and she weighs 35 lbs. I am so happy and thankful to report that my daughter is completely cured of the molluscum!! She is also very happy and looks for the "spots" as she called them but they are all gone!! We used to go through putting antibiotic ointments on them and covering them with bandaids all the time, she knows the rituals by heart. I tried everything, the vinegar in the bath, salt in the bath, the tea tree oil made it worse, but the cimetidine cured her.

With the help of the cimetidine, her immune system recognized that there was a virus she needed to fight- it has immunomodulatory effects that include blocking suppressor T cells and facilitating cell-mediated immunity, according to the study. I only had her on the medication for 2 weeks, but I saw immense and immediate results in only a few days. The bumps became instantly flat, the white centers went away and the bumps began to get dry skin patches on them. I hope the information that I have shared here can help someone with this awful virus.

Garlic, Apple Cider Vinegar

Hi, I want to share my experience in treating Molluscum Contagiosum. My daughter had it on left side of her neck. I used garlic extract and apple cider vinegar to treat it. I put one drop of garlic extract on each pimple, twice a day for four days. I used apple cider vinegar in between the twice a day garlic application. The spots dried out completely. The only downside is the smell. The garlic extract was a 7/1 concentration. The smell was extremely pungent and the hair catches the smell for a long time.

Allicin, Elderberry Extract, Olive Leaf Extract, Oregano Oil

Molluscum Contagiosum: My bf got this and gave it to me. We've tried everything. For him, he had hundreds and nothing worked (ACV, conzerol, TTO/Iodine, 30 PPM silver sol; hospital grade, etc. ). We went the popping route, b/c he had hundreds, and that slowed it. He would also keep the area covered.

For me, I had a couple very large ones. I knew what to look for, since his diagnosis, and when I would see any small pimply looking spot, I quickly covered it with a zinc-based pink tape, called Hy-Tape. The next day if they were angry (usually got bigger with a red ring around it and a white bullseye in the middle), I knew it was MC. The problem is they start out looking like a regular pimple, but quickly change. Mine were on my back and refused to pop, even using a hypodermic needle. I had bought an herbal formula containing Allicin, Elderberry Extract, Olive Leaf Extract and Oregano Oil for something else and decided to try it out on the MC lesions, b/c it had some of the recommended ingredients for treatments. I had to cut the capsule open with a knife (it's a hard shell), carefully, and then used flat ended toothpicks to scoop a little bit of the oil in the capsule out and carefully laid it on top of the lesion. Then I covered it up with the Hy-Tape and left it for a day. The next day, the lesions would come to a full head and the core comes out as a gooey mess on the tape. When I removed the tape, I knew it was for sure molluscum by the amount of blood that came from the lesions. These bleed like a scraped mole and not a pimple. I cleaned the area with alcohol q-tips and repeated for one week. I then continued to keep the lesions covered for one more week with just tape, even though the core was gone, until they were very small. I only used one toothpick side and q-tip side, PER lesion. Never double dipping anything.

This is what finally worked for me. I didn't take the formula orally, but it may help even more.

Clove Oil
Posted by Clove Oil Works (Orlando, Fl) on 11/08/2012

I applied the clove oil at 100%. That said it is NOT recommended. You should dilute it per recommendation at 20/80 clove oil to coconut oil or a carrier oil. The face is tender skin. If you put it on undiluted or even 50/50. It will sting for about 10 minutes. Not bad just wow warm. Don't use if you have medical conditions... Etc. depending on the size of the MC, small ones will only need a couple days if clove oil applied with a q-tip, and then they will get a tiny scab in the center and they are dead. Mature ones might take a week or two. But NOTHING out there works as quickly or painlessly without damaging the skin like clove oil. PS. It also cured a coworkers jungle rot. You don't need to cover it with band aids. Just dab the spot with the clove oil mix. Let it soak in and forget about it. I put this out on the web in June 2012 and I have found many people who have replied that it worked for them. Please let us know your results.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter began to develop small bumps on her neck about 6 months ago. I thought they were skin tags.... But it seems instead that they are MC. We did not go to the doctor for this but learned of this condition from a friend. I have tried the ACV swabbed on her neck but she just fights me. I have instead turned to Grapefruit Seed Extract as it helped me with perioral dermatitis a year ago. I have been giving her 2 drops of GSE in a 6 oz. Glass of OJ once daily. Within 48 hours, her MC spots began to dry up. She has done this for 9 days now and the MC spots are just tiny scars. I believe they will be gone within the next week. I wanted to share this because I had not yet read about using GSE for MC.... But it works and it's simple. Good luck to you.

I had Mollesum Contagiosum for close to a year! I didn't have insurance so I went to a free clinic to get the leisions checked out at first. The doctor there said to leave them alone and they would go away. She put a little bit of acid on the head of the 2 bumps that I had on my privates. She was sure that would be enough to help them on their way. SHE WAS WRONG. I left them alone and didn't shave. A couple months later I noticed new bumps! I was disgusted, frustrated and freaked out so I went to a new doctor and she had way more information. She prescribed me some Aldara and was sure that within 3 months they would go away. I was dilligent about applying the creme 3 times a week just like prescribed. After about 6 weeks I didn't see much of a difference. By this point I had insurance again so I went to my normal doctor. He urged me to get them surgically removed by a dermetologist (it just so happens that his wife is a dermatologist). I told him that I had been prescribed Aldara and he seemed VERY pessimistic about that working. I said I would wait the 3 months and give him a call if it didn't work. I started feeling sick.. like I was on the brink of a cold only I felt like this for days/weeks. I read about Aldara online and saw all sorts of horror stories so I quit using it altogether plus it wasn't working! I made an appointment with the dermatologist but had to wait 2 weeks for an opening. The procedure was $150 but they couldn't guarantee that the leisions would go away with one treatment. It was then that I started to research "home cures" online. THANK GOD for Apple Cider Vinegar! My god did it work!

This is what I did:
I would pour a little bit of ACV on the cap (just enough to cover the bottom)

Then I would dab a cotton ball in ACV (In the beginning I would drench the cotton ball but this left me and my bed smelling like vinegar so I needed a new option)

I would brush the cotton ball over the bump and then apply 2 bandaids to safely secure the cotton ball to my skin.

I would leave this on for 24 hours (at least) without touching them!

Then I would take them off and take a shower with some Tea Tree oil soap that I got from Trader Joe's (they have both bars of soap and liquid form)

Then I would repeat

noticed immediate results within days! The leisions started to get red and then eventually dry out and become some dark color. I kept doing the ACV until it looked like it was scabbing over then I would dab some Neosporin and place a little square bandage over them.

I am still in the process of applying Neosporin as I learned my lesson from not applying Neosporin on a leision that I had on my forearm and now it looks as if I will have that scar there as a constant reminder. But for the most part, I am done with this nasty little chapter in my life! :) Being contagious and quarantined (if you know what I mean) was the worst part of this whole ordeal! Lol

PS: I also tried using tea tree oil for a few days but I couldn't stand the smell and it didn't seem to work as fast as ACV.

My son is 5 and has MC. I waited it out a couple of months because I was told it was best to just leave them alone. Then they really started to spread, so I pulled one of my favorite tricks out of the bag; liquid bandage. I like both the spray and the brush on, but in this case I used the brush on because it dries quicker. It has tea tree oil in it, and I add a couple more drops just to "boost" it. The liquid bandage (much like nail polish) will seal it, keep it dry, and keep it from spreading. Takes a few days using this method but it does work.

Alternatively, I squeezed the waxy core out of a few of them and then used the spray bandage. Those scabbed over faster then the ones I just used the brush on bandage on, but it took longer for the scab to heal and, well, it's not easy to convince a 5 year old to let you squeeze his bumps. The brush on was easier in the long run.

Lugol's Iodine

My 5year old daughter had a severe case of molluscum contagiosum. She started with about 10 of the warts on her buttocks, and they started multiplying and spreading very fast. Within a year she had I estimate over a hundred all down her legs. And my 3 other children started to get them too. I freaked out. Twice I went to the docter, and both times he told me to let it run its course. Yeah right; that was what I did for a year and look what happened! And what if it spread to my newborn baby? My daughter was getting self consious, you could see them on her legs under her school uniform. I had to do something. I tried ACV, clay baths, a product from the chemist for warts, Epsom salts and olive oil mixed with lemon myrtle essential oil, or even pulling them out with tweezers. Nothing worked. I tried Lugols iodine, and the little buggers started to crust over after 3 days of applying Lugols twice a day with a Q-tip, and when the crust fell off, nothing was underneath! You could actually see the white center (that is the virus) soak all the iodine up and look like a blackhead, YEAH! That's exactly where the iodine needed to go. Within one month all my children are Mollusum free. You cannot describe the relief I feel, I have to share that.

Clove Oil

Molluscum Contagiosum:

The pure clove oil on a cotton swab has worked great for me! My skin has been fine, since I only press it to the pox center. I do put a circle bandaid on ones that are likely to be touched by other skin to avoid spreading. I don't always see the white center turn brown, but it does seem to become inactive and disappear -very slowly. Haven't had any get large since using the clove oil.

Having a difficult time avoid self spreading, as they are on my chest to face area, which gets touched as I do simple daily things like pushing my hair awake or adjusting a shirt. Washing hands constantly and using paper towels to dry. Feel like this could go on forever. Afraid to hug loved ones.

Any tips for the scars for the big ones that I had before finding the post on clove oil. They are like craters! Luckily only a few, before I realized they weren't pimples

Thank you so much!

Barley and Salt

Thank you to all those who posted here. Your ideas helped my 9 year old son under-arm, spreading infection. Now it is almost gone.

I recall my late father doing this folk medicine trick with barley and squash. The reasoning in brackets is my own:

1- Place two table spoons of barley over low heat in a frying pan for 5 minutes (to disinfect).

2-Prick each bump with one grain. Choose grains that have sharp needles. (barley grains serve as single-use needle).

3- Stick the grain into a squash or cucumber.

4- Bury the squash (medical waste management).

This is done ceremonially to invoke the psychological factor.

I am lucky that the Dead Sea is an hour drive away. So here is what I did:

1- I pricked the bumps and had my son dip in the ultra salty water for a few minutes, then I checked the pumps.

I pricked and repeated until all pumps turned red.

2- At home, I applied Betadine, pricked and applied apple vinegar compresses daily.

3- I repeated the Dead Sea trip a week later.

Finally the infection was under control, from hundreds of bumps of all sizes to a handful.

The followup treatment is this:

1- disinfect the area with Betadine.

2- prick and squeeze yellow bumps to make sure bumps don't accidentally pop and spread the infection. Prick new bumps so they are no longer protected by thick skin. With each prick and squeeze, reapply Betadine.

2- Apply a saturated solution of salt or sodium Bicarbonate with a cotton bud. Apple vinegar also works but please make sure the acidity does not harm the skin.

3- Apply some salicylic acid wart topical treatment. I prefer coal tar ointment because it doesn't scar or hurt, but it stains a lot.

4- Change to fresh clothes often, add an antiseptic to the wash and hang clothes in the sun. Shower often with disinfecting wash. Do not scrub.

5- make sure the infection does not return. For a couple of months after it is gone, wipe daily with betadine.

Balanced food, supplements like vitamins, Echinacea extract and royal Jelly help.

Some recommend banana peel compresses or milky drops from fresh leaves of the fig tree. I haven't tried those myself.

Be consistently aggressive or this battle is lost. Good Luck.

Multiple Remedies

I am writing to try to prevent any unnecessary suffering I can by sharing what worked for me to get rid of the god-awful molluscum that has been plaguing me—in A WEEK.

Yep!!

The short answer is this: bathing in Dead Sea Salts/Epsom salts each night (2 cups of salt, soak for at least 30 minutes) and then slathering my body in coconut oil infused with clove oil. ITMve been suffering from molluscum for 7 months—and spending hours each day for the past 3 months applying bandages soaked in ACV—and the bathing/coconut oil has ridded me of dozens of spots within four days!! So PLEASE try it—it wonTMt hurt or sting like ACV, it wonTMt scar (itTMs in fact really GOOD for your skin), the coconut oil soothes itching, and your suffering will finally be OVER.

(Note: I only used tepid—not hot-- water to bathe in because I was terrified it would spread the virus. I bathed my leg in tepid water for a week to make sure it wouldnTMt spread before soaking my whole body in the tub. I was also scared that the coconut oil would spread the infection. Neither, thank God, did. I CANTMT SPEAK TO WHETHER BATHING IN HOT WATER WOULD SPREAD IT, THOUGH).

I bought Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and added 10 drops of clove oil for each tablespoon of coconut oil (had to warm it in the microwave to make it spreadable). You can dab the clove oil directly on spots and they will often scab in a few hours (thought the spots will sting). I also added 10 drops of something called “Thieves Oil" which has clove oil, cinnamon oil, lemon oil, and eucalyptus; this smelled great and the cinnamon oil seemed to improve the circulation.

Meanwhile, internally, take Tagamet (Cimetidine), which will enhance T-Lymphocytic activity. I took 400mg 3 times a day!! It definitely didn't make my spots disappear, but it did keep them from reaching mature size. By the time I found the sea salt and coconut oil/clove oil treatment, I had dozens of small spots. (My derm froze the first set of spots—which were twice as big as pimples—and left scars. I donTMt know why, but after she treated them, I found new spots popping up all over my body. But the Cimetidine seemed to keep them small; few ever developed a visible white core. I think the sea salt and coconut oil /clove oil worked so quickly because the Cimetidine kept the spots so small.)

Also, Colostrum (or Lactoferrin) will enhance your immune system. I also took 10,000 IU Vitamin D, Zinc, Vitamin C, Oregano Oil (which has anti-viral activity) and Holy Basil; who knows whether they did anything.

I have heard that there are four different strains of molluscum and that they look different and likely respond to different treatments. My mature molluscum (the first round) looked like really large pimples, not dimpled warts. This sea salt bath and coconut oil/clove oil moisturizing treatment worked wonders for these spots—and SO FAST!! I hope you try it because I want to spare you the months of misery I went through before I discovered this.

Dead Sea Mud

Its me again, thanks god most of the spot gone within one week, still one big white spot we did not treat it by the mud, we used to treat it by painting it by Benzac 5% then cover it by medical plaster, Because we were afraid that my daughter scratch it, - and as you know these white spots contains a liquid rich in th MC virus, and this liquid in very contagious ....

Any how today we put Dead sea Mud on that spot for 15 minutes, I think it will work because after we clean the mud we see some blood, we put some Betadine and cover it again by a medical plaster ...

Dead sea Mud, Its is a great treatment for the spots of MC, we paint these these spots twice a day, wthin 1 week all become dry, small, then disappered, I recomend it strongly, it has no side effect, it is not toxic or cancerous material like clove oil, no irritation like Apple cider vineger, no dryness effect, it will leave your skin sfot and clean.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Antiseptic Powder

You don't have to operate, read more threads. Operation just increases chances of spreading it and probably scars the area you did it on. Just ACV overnight for a week and the bumps will eventually change color and die. Re-apply and be rid of them.

Hi,

I cured molluscum on my sons elbow in a week using ACV which was amazing.

Now my daughter has it appearing on her face and I am nervous the treatment will cause scaring. However I know I cant leave it or it could spread quickly.
