DMSO Cures: DMSO for Herpes and More!
DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide has been used for many years by athletes to treat painful muscles and joints. DMSO builds up the white blood cells and increases immune production of migration inhibitory factors (MIF) by macrophages.
DMSO has been associated with a number of therapeutic benefits, such as for the healing of wounds; its use as an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal; softens collagen, helps eliminate hydroxyl free radicals in the body, stimulates the immune system, increases interferon formation, reduces the number of platelet thrombi, and is a potent diuretic. DMSO skin remedies are useful in treating topical fungal infections.

Back Pain

[YEA] 12/26/2009: Matt from Millbrook, Ny: "I had slept on a bad mattress for one night too many. I woke up one day with sharp pains in my back. It made work very difficult, but I figured it would eventually go away on it's own. No dice. One day, after a week of back pain, I took about 1/2 teaspoon of DMSO to help my immune system recover after Lyme. I didn't realize it at first, but the back pain was gone within hours (probably sooner), and it NEVER came back! I even slept on that bad mattress again! lol not smart...
I should also add that some people are very sensitive to the smell of DMSO, and I "offended" at least one person."
[YEA] 07/18/2012: David from Baja California Sur, Mexico replies: "I use DMSO to relieve some of the painful symptoms of a herniated # 4 lumbar disc. My best guess is DMSO works because not only does the nerve bundle cause pain, but the pain causes adjacent muscles to tense up and spasm. Believe it or not, I am convinced the knotted muscles feed back pain to the nerve, aggravating it even more. No, I'm afraid DMSO is not the all enveloping miracle cure for a herniated disc agony. But it does temporarily relieve a significant amount of pain - and I do not have to swallow even more medicine to do it. Call me "convinced"."
04/05/2013: Sher from Jackson, Ca replies: "I just purchased DMSO 99.99% Pharma solvent grade which says it is odor less from a company named 21st Century Chemical on Ebay. I have not tried it yet. I must admit I never have heard of odor less DMSO. The company has been registered on ebay since 2006."
[YEA] 01/04/2009: Lucinda from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA: "Found some roll on DMSO in a closet I was cleaning out and found your website. I have lower back pain and I put some on it. Already, it feels good! Thank you, Lucinda"
Replies03/27/2009: Ben from Parker, CO replies: "First I would like to recommend the book DMSO: Nature's Healer. It is a must read for anyone wanting to learn more or use DMSO. Second the main side effect of DMSO is a oyster/fish like smell on the breath, within seconds of application. There is extreme importance in thoroughly cleaning the area where DMSO will be used, prior to use. DMSO is a solvent, therefore, whatever comes into contact with it will be absorbed into the skin very rapidly. So clean, clean, clean, then use. From my experience, DMSO can be mixed with many things, as it enhances absorption and transportation into the body. I personally use it with Arnica oil. Application is called "painting". Simply take the DMSO or mixture and apply in strokes, with a cotton tipped applicator. Good luck and feel free to email with any other questions."
05/23/2009: Leo from Camrose, Alberta replies: "To apply DMSO, I use various kinds of brushes I can buy very cheaply. Just dip the brush, and apply. Great to get at hard to reach places, and it doesn't get on your hands so much. Leo"
08/05/2011: Nany from Tokyo, Japan replies: "Hi, I would like to ask how often can I apply DMSO in the affected area ( I have my arm swelling from gout) a day! Im quite afraid may overdo it, thanks"

[YEA] 07/03/2010: Pammy from Malibu, California, United States: "One of the most amazing treatments I have ever used is DMSO for burns. I have had serious burns and minor burns.
Usually I just open the container and slap a big tablespoon of DMSO on the burn. It is best to do it right away. I keep it on for about 1/2 hr. I keep a jar in my kitchen for the possibilities of getting burned at the stove. It takes the pain away immediately and the pain never comes back. You can apply a little each day for awhile, but I have not found that necessary. I wish every one knew about this as burns can be so painful. And the burns heal up nicely.
It is either Canada or Alaska that they use DMSO in ER for burns. Blessings to all. Pammy"
[YEA] 09/03/2007: Bill from Santa Ana, ca: "I burned my finger one day at home. I quickly grabbed the DMSO washed my finger, poured it over the finger. The pain and swelling stopped immediately. No subsequent problems. While winter hiking in the Sierras a girl in our group burned her hand on a hoy stove. I applied the DMSO from my back pack. She came to me the next morning to say she had no distress at all from the burn. I also used it on my mother's face when she fell on the cement smashing her glasses and nose. It moved the blood right out. The next day she had on a yellowing of the skin. Great stuff. I carry it everywhere."
Calcium Deposits

[QUESTION] 05/23/2009: Leo from Camrose, Alberta Canada: "Does anyone have experience or information about massaging DMSO with enzymes to dissolve calcium deposits? There is a patent application on the web about that, at http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4250167.html?query=4250167&stemming=on, referencing DMSO and Papain, but has anyone experience with this? Thanks. Leo"
DMSO and Aloe Vera
02/08/2013: Susan from New York: "Bill from San Fernando, can you explain how to do this (from Ted's posting)?
DMSO must be used together with aloe vera oil to prevent inflammation however.
Thanks."
Replies02/08/2013: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Susan... The preferred method of using aloe vera with any DMSO topical protocol is to apply the DMSO protocol first, let it be absorbed into the skin and the skin is dry, then apply the aloe oil on the skin afterwards. The aloe vera helps to rehydrate the skin and prevents skin irritation which can sometimes arise with DMSO use. I have bought a DMSO solution that also contains aloe vera - it's all I can get in the Philippines -- this is the other way of doing it. But I still think that the first method I described is better. If you're using DMSO on its own, say, to help against an injury or arthritis then you will be using it on the same spot over and over again -- snd this is where sloe vera is quite useful -- it will help to prevent skin irritation. But if you are just using DMSO as an internal delivery mechanism for a nutrient like lugols iodine, then you should try and use the protocol in different areas of the body -- thus also reducing the possibility of skin irritations."
03/05/2013: Jun from Manila, Philippines replies: "Hi Bill from San Fernando, Philippines, where did you find your DMSO?"
DMSO and Lugol's Iodine

[SIDE EFFECTS] 01/20/2010: Jane from Hoddles Creek, Vic Australia: "Lugol's Iodine and DMSO - a couple of sprays on the skin once only I almost fainted 3 times that day at work and did not repeat the trial, as a nurse in home visits I didn't feel it was appropriate to faint on the job!"
Replies09/22/2010: A from Wind, Ont replies: "This will do this but when applying this add sea salt internally and selenium and this will offset this. Remember the Dmso is carrying the Potassium in the system so it will lower blood pressure so you will need salt to balance it out and the selenium to regulate the iodine--I use this with an SKI/lugols I make with a 5% dmso solution and noticed the same thing. You sleep deep and rest like a baby but it can have a drowsy like effect when not having salt."
DMSO Side Effects
04/29/2013: Kojak from Erie, Pa: "I need help. I ordered 99.9% DMSO on Amazon, but what I received was 99% industrial grade. I used it anyway on my tendonitis and other areas of the body. The thing I that I got wicked drunk that night and very very sick! I am wondering if it is possible that the other 1% is alcohol or Acetone in the DMSO and if that is what contributed to me getting that "drunk" feeling...? If so, seems like it is dangerous as could I have gotten alcohol poisoning? Somebody please email me if you know the answer. kathyjo (at) velocity [dot} net."

10/19/2011: Robert Henry from Ten Mile, Tn Usa: "A friend sent me the book, The Persecuted Drug, The Story of DMSO. It was published in 1973 but is chilling how ruthless the FDA was then and now. How they punish people for the pure pleasure of it and protect the mamoth drug industry. I worked for Crown Zellerbach in the 60's and was aware of DMSO, but not like this book describes. It was made in their mill in Boguloosa, La. and I knew the supervisor of the plant. He said no employee that worked in that area had ever had a cold or the flu. All employees stole the product to give to old relatives who had arthritis and such. They all knew of it's benifits first hand.
Anyway, I encourage you to buy and read this old book. DMSO is a product that could revolulationize medicine if given a chance. You can use it on a million dollar horse, but it is against the law for you to receive its benifits. Why? It is too cheap and is not patentable.
I promise you that if you read this book and don't shed a few tears, then you are a hard person. The FDA is exposed with this story. They ruined a number of good dedicated doctors to prove that they are omnipotent.
As Dr Jacob says, horses don't know about plecabo's or double blind tests. It it works , they run, if not , then they don't run. Sounds right to me.
Please read the book."
Replies07/15/2012: Mystic Sage from Cutler Bay, Florida replies: "Hi Robert Henry, I read the same book as well. The one book that led me to this one mentioned on your post was titled The Heritic. I believe that is the title, by Mendelsohn(?). He mentioned DMSO aside from many interesting facts that involved the medical field during the fiasco with DMSO and the FDA. I had forgotten about DMSO until I read the first Trudeau book about a year ago and noticed that he mentioned The Heritic book in his. I have been slowly purchasing the books that Trudeau has mentioned in his book to help me along in understanding DMSO. Very fascinating. I still want to find out how I can orally take it if what I have is the 99.9% gel with 10% distilled water. I am psyched out with this stuff as well!"
07/17/2012: Robert Henry from Ten Mile, Tn Usa replies: "HU U MYSTIC SAGE, , , , , , , , , ,This is not the only natural medical thing that gives me concern that the Traditional Medical folks fight tooth and nail. We have cleaned out our blood vessels with EDTA Chelation and have used the CEDSA to learn of the parasites that have taken us over. That is now a thing of the past. We main line Glutithione to avoid Dementia. We have yet to receive the blood test results that was developed by Purdue U that tells you 5 to 7 years ahead of time that you have cancer on the way and has a protocol to combat the problem. That will be a biggie.
These are all things to keep you from having these problems. I am just a lowly Ch E. But I think DMSO works best as a carrier in an IV situtation. Dr. Jacob is the authority on DMSO, but the Gov. has cowed this great man.
My latest project is to use a lowly Egg Plant solution to treat the Actinic Kerartosis which covers my face before it becomes cancerous.
Love you all ======ROBERT HENRY====="
04/25/2013: Leah from Philadelphia, Pa replies: "Hi guys, here is the DMSO chapter you mention, as permitted by the book author to be read for free online: http://healthnews.benabraham.com/html/fountain_of_youth_-_nature_s_h.html. It is a heart breaking story. It makes me outraged that something so healing has been suppressed by those who were originally meant to promote the public interest. Of course we see this with many cheap, unpatentable therapies such as oxygen, IV vitamin c for cancer, using your own blood that has been subjected to uv light for hidden viruses etc. The list of forbidden, cheap, life saving herbs and therapies is quite long. If we had better education about and access to these things all chronic illness would be much easier to cure. Pharmaceuticals and surgery would become virtually obsolete."
09/11/2011: Jojofreebird from Kalaheo, Hawaii: "Quick question. I am using the ACV but would also like to try the DMSO, Vit B, FAcid mixture. Does anyone recommend a particular brand of DMSO?"
05/04/2011: Juan from Marbella, Spain: "Can anyone tell me what is DMSO?? thanks"
Replies05/04/2011: Knute from Sacramento, Ca replies: "It appears a good explanation of what DMSO is, and why it can be effective can be found by doing google search for "dmso kehr tutor"."
12/29/2009: Tee from Chicago, Il: "Hi I wanted to know some exact ways I can use dmso. IT's a 70% dmso with aloe. I'm using it for some acne scars on my arms and thighs some are keloid. I just wanted to know if there are any precautions since it's a solvent or how to clean the area or anything helpful"
[YEA] 05/07/2009: Linda from Lancaster, California: "Glad to see DMSO is alive and well! I was a ballet dancer in the 70's and DMSO was very popular except that no one could stand you on stage because of the odor. Then, when I became a full time massage therapist, I always shared the benefits of DMSO. My question is; are there any DMSO Clinics? Also, I am about to share DMSO with my friend who is suffering with much round the clock pain as a result of many surgeries for her Ovarian Cancer. No cancer now, but infections, fever and pain!!!"
Replies02/16/2010: Hey from Souris, Pe replies: "Your friend may want to try MMS for the infection and fever."
[QUESTION] 03/05/2009: JOHN from RUTHERFORDTON, N0RTH CAROLINA: "I NEED DIRECTIONS AS TO HOW MUCH DMSO I CAN TAKE, I MADE THE PURCHASE AND AFTER READING THE INSTRUCTIONS OF USING RUBBER GLOVES TO MIX IT, THEN I WAS TO PUT IT UNDER MY TONGUE, I AM JUST CONFUSED AS HELL ABOUT WHAT I AM TO DO
ALSO TRIED THE PEROXIDE SPRAY, SEEM TO BE DOING A GREAT JOB , THEN I GOT THE FLU , WAS THIS THE RESULT OF USING THAT SPRAY"
Replies03/27/2009: Ben from Parker, CO replies: "What exactly are you using the DMSO for? Also, it is very unlikely that H2O2 spray would "cause" the flu."
09/22/2010: A from Wind, Ont replies: "Response- to take anything above the chest 5-10% solution. Anything below the chest you can go higher. Internal use I have mixed it with wormwood in a 5% soultion and have used tsp amounts without any issue--remember this is a solvent so as a solvent this will penetrate lipids and the brain is a lipid so anything north of the chest line- reduce this will apply as well with some of the essential oils. Some are potent solvents and penetrents. Hope this helped."
07/02/2011: Nikki S from Madison, Wi replies: "Have you considered that the flu like symptoms might have been a detox reaction? I use H2O2 and it has greatly helped in reducing yeast issues on skin and I believe in my body."
10/03/2011: Paul from Ferndown, Dorset replies: "Your body will flush out all the rubbish, you may get some flu sympton's, spots or the odd boil now an then, people differ, plus every one has different levels of rubbish in them. Just persevere!"
