[YEA] 03/09/2008: Brooke from Montgomery, TX: "Mixing Castor Oil with baking soda, enough to make it like gum, applied directly over the mole or wart will make them go away! Do this every evening with the intent that you are making it go away."Replies
[YEA] 12/26/2010: Becky From Ohio from Ashtabula, Ohio, Usa replies: "Castor oil and baking soda worked on a wart I had had for 10 yrs!"
[YEA] 01/29/2008: Virginia from Cushing, OK: "A foot doctor said to put cold-pressed castor oil on a large wart on my sons' toe then put a sock on his foot nightly til the wart goes away. Amazing but it did within a week."
Castor Oil and Baking Soda
[YEA] 08/02/2012: Alt-rocks from Suffolk, United Kingdom: "Many years ago my youngest brother was constantly having to have thread warts burnt off from under his chin and neck area. He was very young and this was extremely painful for him. A retired nurse suggested that I might want to try using a slurry of castor oil and bicarbonate of soda on the area twice a day. It worked absolute wonders, they all fell off within a week, and twenty five years later he is still wart free. If I remember correctly, I used a teaspoon of castor oil and two teaspoons of bicarbs to create a sludge which I applied to his skin with a q-tip."
[YEA] 04/23/2010: Anna from London, Uk: "Castor Oil and Baking Soda for Warts
I keep a mixture which I keep in a pot with a little spoon for warts. It's a really simple mix of castor oil and baking soda made into a paste.
Every night for 3 weeks as you are going to bed cover the wart in the paste and tape over it. In the morning you take off the tape and do nothing.
You leave it to slowly die and fall off on it's own over a few weeks. If it's a nice big established wart and doesn't look like it's dying then repeat the 3 weeks of taping at night.
The mixture effectively suffocates the thing, like a plant without oxygen.
Sometimes I use corn plasters and fill the hole in the middle with the paste, this is for my kids who are a bit wriggly - it keeps the paste in place.
It has never failed me and it's the simplest thing to do. It doesn't hurt either. You just have to be patient. Usually you look one day and it's fallen off without you even realising, because it dies after the treatment has ended."
[YEA] 01/19/2009: Lisa from Blackie, Alberta : "for the wart that is so resistant my nautropath told me if you see 1 outside there are thousands inside. when my daughter was having plantar warts and ones on her fingers he recommended liquid cholorphyll. 4x a day a table spoon . within 4 days it was totally freaky, her toe seemed to have 100's of warts just under the skin they came thru with no pain, some blistering of skin the big wart turned black fell off a few days later."
[YEA] 03/01/2013: Karen from Shingle Springs, California, USA: "Greetings, EC folks!
After going barefoot in the garden one summer, I developed a terrible case of mosaic warts on the soles of both my feet. Foolishly, I tried cutting them out with manicuring scissors, only to have them spread. I tried banana peel, wart pads, and anything else I could think of or find on Earth Clinic, to no avail. The warts were so painful I could barely walk! My soles were a mess, and it was spreading to my fingers! Out of desperation, I began applying Cinnamon Oil, no bandage, and clean socks. The healing was miraculous! It took a few weeks, but my soles totally healed. And now, if I spot a wart, I use cinnamon oil on it right away. I also wear shoes in the garden now.
Thank you, EC family! I have no health insurance, I rely on you all to help me stay healthy. Blessings!"
[YEA] 09/05/2008: Melanie from Brownsburg, Indiana: "i discovered coconut oil about 4 yrs ago and was using it for seborhea, and for dry patches of skin. I rubbed it into my cuticles each night, and on day 6, i realized the wart that had been on my finger for a few years was totally GONE! It had to be the oil, because i was not using a wart remover. Also, i have found that coconut oil helps heal my seborhea patches quickly, whereas medicines did not."
[YEA] 05/10/2007: Ashley from Baltimore, MD: "Virgin coconut oil cured my plantar warts. I had some plantar warts on my foot for about a year, then I started rubbing coconut oil on my feet to help soften the skin and make walking more comfortable. After about 2 months of this, I was just starting to think of going to the doctor to have them removed (with much dread) when I noticed that the warts had shrunk. Then about 1-2 weeks later, the dead skin just peeled off like a callous, revealing soft healthy skin underneath. It wasn't an overnight cure, but the time was a small price to pay for not having them dug out! I know they were warts because they had the little black spots in them, they hurt or bled if scraped, and a couple of small ones had appeared elsewhere on my foot. I also use coconut oil in food preparation on a regular basis, as well as topically on all areas of the skin."Replies
[NAY] 08/08/2010: London from Sandusky, Ohio replies: "Coconut oil does not work for warts on feet and hands. Apple cider vinegar does. I use no other moisterizer for over a year on my feet and hands everyday, and I saw no difference on the warts on my hands."
04/12/2013: Brownandgreen72 from Anywhere, Usa replies: "I also was using Coconut oil on my plantar wart, and it helped make it smaller. Before that I used the tea tree oil and duct tape method. This helped remove some of the skin above the wart. After the coconut oil the wart rose to the surface. I left the tape off and applied nothing topically because it hurt. Bad mistake. Airing it out caused the wart to get bigger. It also inflammed the surrounding area. Now I am trying the ACV on cotton with duct tape on top. I'll update later."
05/01/2013: Clare from Lytham St Annes, England: "The white milk from the broken stem of a dandelion applied to the wart clears it up in a couple of weeks - if it's small."
[YEA] 08/14/2010: Kayll from New England, Usa: "Over the past year, I've been eating poorly and gaining weight rapidly. Along with the uncomfortableness of excess weight, I noticed three warts on my feet: two on my left and one on my right foot. Thankfully they aren't painful. However, I've noticed that they are getting bigger and bigger. Not waiting until they got painful to do something about them, I started researching.
I had bought some OTC products which didn't really work. At the same time, I started changing my diet to include a ton of mixed greens and salads. A read a book about adding mixed greens to the diet. The author had some warts on her body and after she started drinking green smoothies daily, they fell right off.
Well, I can happily say that two of my three warts have fallen off! The third one is in an area on my foot where I can feel it, but can't bend properly to see it. It's flatter than it was and may fall off on it's own soon, too!
For the past two weeks, I've been eating a big salad for lunch every day with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pecans or almonds, peppers, and beans of some type - with fat free dressing. I haven't lost weight because I'm still eating junkfood at night and heavy meals for dinner. But I will change that soon.
Another popular author I was reading talked about the importance of nutrition and health. He has similar diet recommendations - eating at least one pound of raw vegetables and one pound of raw fruits (who cooks fruits.. Maybe applesauce?). As I continue eating 1lb of veggies (i.e. my salad) and 1lb of fruit daily (for breakfast), I will comment about other ailments that should hopefully go away. I have really bad skin - sometimes called chicken skin - on my arms. I'm hoping diet will help that, too."
08/14/2010: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Maybe it would be helpful if you told us which books you have been reading?
I do eat a lot of salad with all kinds of vegetables in them but my warts have never fallen off. As far as green smoothies go unfortunately I don't like them but I have been drinking quite a bit of vegetable juice mixed with fruit as well for the past 8 months. Don't forget that your body needs fat so eating the salads with no dressing might not be a good idea. Healthy fats are good for you and I can tell you that since my naturopath told me that my skin was too dry because I wasn't eating enough fat at least the skin on my face is a lot smoother (my legs are still too dry but maybe that will change soon)!"
[YEA] 04/24/2012: Joan from Loveland, Colo/usa: "My son had a large wart on the ball of his foot (about 2" round) and he had it burned out by a dermatologist and it returned, he tried all the alternative remedies but nothing worked. Finally, a podiatrist suggested the supplement - DIM. After 3 weeks of faithfully taking the pills according to the bottles instructions, the wart started to get smaller and smaller. After 3 months on the DIM, the wart was gone and has not returned. DIM eliminated any excess estrogen and balanced the hormones. Don't know why it works rid warts, but it works. Praise God."
[YEA] 12/27/2009: Chris from Henderson, Kentucky Usa: "My 5 yr. old son had 2 warts on his finger, we tried to freeze the off a doctors twice.I also tried ductape for a day or two but started applying dmso on a band aid at night ant within a week it went away. His mother had one on her finger before she was pregnant so I guess she must have passed to him. She also put dmso on a band aid and the wart left as well. I got the dmso at a health food store."
[YEA] 11/05/2008: Dana from Houston, TX: "Someone said they had a stubborn wart...use DMSO..put it on every day and it WILL leave you! It might take a couple of weeks...also good for herpes cold sores and the best anti-inflammatory available today."
Duct Tape Cure for Warts
- Duct Tape
The duct tape remedy for warts gets a lot of support all across the internet. The idea is simply to cover the wart with a strip of duct tape, choking the wart's oxygen supply. Whenever the tape gets loose, gently scrape at the top of the wart and then put a new piece of tape on.
[YEA] 01/31/2014: Tarai381 from Allentown, Pa: "I had a big wart on my left leg. I had it removed at the doctors office. But couple of years later it came back. So I read an article in a magazine about using duck tape to remove warts. So I tried it!
Cut a small piece of Duct tape and taped it on my warts, I even took showers with it on my wart. I had the duck tape on day & night. And only replaced the tape when it starts to get loose. After couple of days the wart softened and eventually disappeared after a week. And its been a few years and it hasn't come back.
When my daughter was very little, she had a big wart on her thumb. So I wrapped it with tape & couple of days later, it was gone! And it hasn't been back & she's 16 yrs. old now."
06/17/2013: Saulo from Sao Paulo, Brazil: "A not-so-new published study indicates that duct tape is more effective in wart removal than having your doctor freeze them. http://archpedi.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=203979
We at earth clinic have known that for years! Imagine what the score would be had they tried ACV!"
