Apple Cider Vinegar, Antiseptic Powder
03/10/2011: Dinglebert from Anytown, Futureworld: "Hi please post this, just edit the language if you have too, but I think ppl will appreciate it. cheers.
A cure using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and nail/needle core removal .
prevent infection spread with Alcohol and antiseptic powder.
Writing this as of day 4 from positive doctor diagnosis, approximately 4 months from when the first bump appeared. Feeling pretty positive at this stage, enough to want to get this out there and help others as soon as I can.
Ok firstly let me just say a big thanks to all those that took the time to write on the internet their successes and failures with this problem. An especially big thanks to all those that put a bit of humour in it as after all laughter is the best medicine.
Secondly I'm not an idiot, I'm a pretty clued up guy, I've learnt a thing or two about life as well, sometimes when you ask the universe a question it gives you back an answer.
I broke up with a girlfriend about 6 months ago, I was looking at porn in the meantime, my conscience was telling me this isn't right, sure the women were of age it was pretty standard stuff, but I kept asking myself is porn wrong? I laid off it for a month or so, then got back into it.
That's when the universe gave me my answer, porn is wrong it exploits women and puts them in positions where they are susceptible to sexually transmitted diseases like MC, but also all the other much worse ones. I don't think sex is wrong or having fun or anything like that, but an industry and a society that risks health for pleasure needs to question itself.
So that's what I've learned out of all this lay off the porn everyone spread that message.
Anyway, Firstly I knew this had a high likelihood of working as I once had a wart when I was a kid and my mum told me to put a banana peel on it and cover it with a bandaid, I did and the wart was gone in a week.
So rewind 4 months, I notice a bump right at the end of my foreskin in the shower, thinking it's just a pimple I poped that sucker but left the core
This was my mistake, if I had of taken the white core out and thoroughly disinfected, the surrounding area I probably would have been ok, but I didn't know I was dealing with this sneaky little pest. I left it and 3 months later 1 had turned into 8, mostly only 1-2mm but one was closer to 3 or 4mm. I'm worried its genital warts so I go to the doc, and he says It's "MC , it'll take care of itself over time, don't have sex there's not much else you can do maybe aldara". But I still think there is something I can do, cause I've read all the messages of people online, and I know the banana skin trick works. Now the reason I think the doctors say this is they're covering their own asses, they can't send any Jo off the street home with a bottle of acid and a scalpel and tell them they're a surgeon, of course not.
- BUY ACV. Anyway so get the ACV, I didn't get organic, but I did choose the one that the most wisps in it. Now I'm a pretty scientifically minded guy, I trust my own senses. I don't think there's any magic powers in ACV what I think is that it's a mild acid. Also it doesn't stink and stain like dark vinegar, you could probably use this method with other kinds of vinegar and it might still work, but hey why bother when we know ACV works.
- APPLY ACV. Put it on little bits of cotton wool till they are reasonably soaked, say one half, and stick them with bandaids to the MCV bumps. I used silver bandaids cause they were there, but I don't think silver really matters that much. If the bumps are on on your dick this isn't gonna be easy, give yourself plenty of time, like an hour, you don't want your flatmate, boss or hotel maid walking in on you. If there on your ass, well you better get a real good friend to help you.
- PREVENT SPREAD this shit is called Contagiosum for a reason! Treat it like its Ebola, buy a bottle of medical alcohol and some strips of cloth or what ever and wipe everything down you touch or the MC touches, wash your hands. Get some antiseptic powder the one I got is called medi-pulv it contains chlorhexidine HCL 10mg/g I think this is some pretty amazing shit, look it up on Wikipedia, it actually has antiviral properties as well as anti-biotic. The great thing about the powder is that you can douse your whole body in it and still go to work without being all sticky and crap. If you wear boxes switch to briefs to prevent your dick touching your thigh. Get about 10 pairs, burn each pair after you wear them, haha nah you don't have to, just wash them, you should be ok, this thing shouldn't last more than 24 hours outside of it's human host. Ok so ACV bandaids doused and briefs, go to sleep.
- WAIT. Leave it on for 24 hours. When you piss wash your hands hard out, don't do the bandaids so tight you can't piss, you'll swell up like a balloon and the whole thing will explode and you'll be covered in piss and virus, probably another reason why doctors just tell you to keep your damn hands off it.
- PREPARE to OPERATE. After 24 hours you're ready to operate, you're gonna be a fricken surgeon here so take this seriously, get all the supplies beforehand and give yourself 2 hours alone, you don't want your mates coming around drunk with Mario cart when you have your pants around your ankles and blood and cotton wool and bandaids all over your cock and balls. Need about 6 cloth swabs per bump I had 9 bumps (found another lil bastard during the operation) I used cotton wool as a blood swab but this is shit because you get covered in fluff, some cloth squares will be better cut up a clean pillow case into small squares if you have to, make sure you have heaps, you're gonna be swabbing and disposing, remember like the girl said treat this stuff as radioactive. The acid (ACV) after 24 hours should have slightly dissolved the tops of the bumps exposing the core, I also think the acid as it works on the skin, may trigger the immune system to work harder in the area, pushing the white head/core out slightly. Now it may very well be that if you just kept the ACV on for a week, the bumps will just go away on their own, which maybe fine, but I also think it might mean they'll fall off and go somewhere in your undies and may spead the virus, so that's why I think the best way is just get rid of the shit as soon as you can. The draw back is it's a bit bloody, and there maybe a risk of normal infection, plus I'm impatient. If you don't think you can handle blood you might just wanna try waiting it out. Ok get some alcohol to wipe away the blood, at first I thought the blood maybe infected, but now I'm not so sure, anyway treat it like it is, you wont be able to keep the blood off you but just wipe it away fast with the alcohol.
- CORE REMOVAL. Ok this is it, you're saving your dick here (or whatever part of your body these are on). I had a couple of beers beforehand, you might want a shot of whiskey, depending on how many you have you might want to plan to stage it over a couple nights, all up including prep and clean up I spent about 2 hours on it. At first I screwed up, I went for the biggest one first with a needle, which was probably a mistake. Start with the little ones as they are easy and work up to the big ones when your skilled at it. My big one started to bleed, and I freaked out about the infection, couldn't get the core out kept dropping crap there was a vein right under it too, so I just swabbed it and held it on there to stop the bleeding, core half out feeling defeated. But then I notice the smaller one right next to it, and I remembered how some punk girl wrote she used to just use her fingernails like a white head, so boom I did it, core out stuck to my nail, tiny bit of blood, wiped that crap away on a piece of paper, alcohol swab and then swab to stop bleeding. Now I know it can be done, boom boom boom I do next 7 like it aint no thing, now there's one left, the end level monster, make sure you have got good lighting by the way, I swear these bastards will duck under and try and get away, so boo yah! In with the nails, out comes the core, is that the core? I don't know it looks too small? Check, I don't know is it cotton wool? No it's the core I've done it! Luke just blew up the death star!
- CLEANUP. You are still one highly radioactive mofo, wipe away every last bit of blood with alcohol, the bleeding wont completely stop but should slow to a crawl, if you had too much whiskey the blood will be thin, and keep bleeding for longer (btw don't confuse the whiskey for the medical alcohol you're a fricken Doctor now JIM! ). Now because ACV got me into this I figured ACV was gonna get me out, dab a bit on with a cotton bud and then bandaid back up. Douse the crap out of everything with Chlorhexidine or something similar. That means your legs your hands your pubes the carpet your dog everything. Put those briefs back on wash your hands, wash your keyboard, wash your mouse, don't use the same towel twice.
- WAIT 24 hours and take the bandaids off and air that bump free bad boy out! Oh yeah! You will have new lease on life now my friend, keep searching for any new bumps, don't ever have sex with anyone you don't completely trust again, unless you want your dick to fall off.
- REPEAT. I haven't found anymore, but if any new ones spring up then do the same, it gets too hard go back to the doctor, pay for cyro or laser removal.
- LOOK AFTER YOURSELF AND OTHERS eat healthy that means fruit, vege, nuts, legumes breads and cereals, don't eat meat not only is it unhealthy leading to bowl cancer and some instances like chicken full of salmonella, animals don't like it when you scare them into a pen and kill them, just like your pet dog at home they have feelings and can feel pain, I am a firm believer in a kind of karma, if you inflict pain on others, or are indifferent to the infliction of pain upon others the universe will likely try and let you know, like a mirror, how that pain can feel back on you. Ok so your free now go be the best person you can be."Replies
07/21/2011: Willow from Lexington, Ky replies: "I've got to say that I'm only dealing with what I think is one MC bump. My doc tried to tell me it was a skin tag, but when it's on your privates, you become obsessed. I don't think it's a skin tag, but a single MC pimple. It's never bursted, which is why I don't think it's spread. However, I have noticed some smaller bumps down there that aren't really noticable but feel suspect. Good grief. Can't people just have sex anymore? And the doctor does nothing but frustrate me.
I bet I've read this post about 4 times now - too too funny. I appreciate the humor, and to be honest, the crude language. Sometimes you have to laugh at this crap or you feel like you are going to crawl under a rock for life.
I started the ACV last night but not sure if I'm going to operate yet. Some folks are having luck with just ACV. We'll see.
Cheers to humor!"
07/25/2011: Ff from Wtf, Fml/usa replies: "Also enjoyed the post. I tried the ACV but only for about 4hrs before bed. When I removed the ACV swab, each bump was now large and white. Wasn't the same as others reported, but seemed similar to this post. I didn't try the operation, and the bumps appeared back to their original state the next day. Gonna try the ACV over night like recomended before operation. Thanks for the post!"
09/29/2011: Eastcoast from Albany, Ny replies: "I used my fingernail to scrape out the core. You have to press down hard on one side of it then pull it across the bump, and the hard, white core (virus) will come out. It will bleed a lot. Make sure you put the 'cores' in a tissue or something so they don't get back onto your body and reinfect. When you're done, wipe with acv. THEY WILL BE GONE! I did this for myself and my boyfriend. After the first round, wait a few days to let your skin heal and the redness to fade, then recheck the area to see if you missed any, and repeat."
11/17/2011: Cdfs from Dsadsdaas, Dsa replies: "You don't have to operate, read more threads. Operation just increases chances of spreading it and probably scars the area you did it on. Just ACV overnight for a week and the bumps will eventually change color and die. Re-apply and be rid of them."
12/01/2011: Jethro from Happy Town, Lovely Land replies: "Sorry I'm gonna have to disagree with you on not operating, purely based on my own experience. You have to remove the white cores, I suspect that not only can they spread above the skin, I. E. Skin to skin contact, regardless of if they burst or not, they can also spread under the skin. Remember this is a virus here, a living organism, and it can adapt, I think the ACV only helps, the risk of leaving it for longer is that the virus will spread.
I've been MSC free now for 10 months after originally writing this post. They never came back! Seems like too many people on here apply ACV only and then watch it spread or get bigger. You must remove the core this is the virus.
There's even video on youtube now of doctor using a needle to get them off someone's chin in South America or somewhere.
Thank you combined Human Intelligence!"
12/17/2011: Anon from Nottingham, Uk replies: "Okay so mine have scabbed over and gone completely black, but I can still see the white in the middle. Also they look slightly infected, they are slightly greenish :/ How long do I wait for the scabs to fall off? And I don't want to burst them to expel the white stuff in case the virus spreads - please help! It's so appreciated, I'm 16 and so sick of these things!"
04/25/2012: Mommy from Toronto, Ontario, Canada replies: "Thank you guys for taking time to share your exexperiences! ACV really does miracles! We have been fighting with my son's Molluscum for the past 2 years. It's been 5 days since we started treating his bumps, located on his face and they started getting black, ugly and scab.
My concern is that it will leave scars, because he's only 4 years old and his skin is still very delicate.
Did you notice scars after the treatment and is there a way to prevent that?
05/07/2012: Sandra G. from Miami, Fl replies: "My 3 yr old son has molluscum on his belly and side. We went to the Dr. and he said there wasn't much he could do and that it would go away on its own. I started researching Molluscum and foud that it is extremely contagious and it spreads like wild fire. I searched for home remedies, and found ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) Treatment. I started putting the ACV on the cotton balls and putting then on the Molluscum with band-aids. I let him sleep with it over night. My son had about 7 of them. I also give him ACV baths with 8 cups of ACV to a full tub and one cup of salt, which it is used to draw out the dormant ones and the ACV then kills the virus. I let him soak there for about 30 minutes or more if he likes. After just one night of doing the cotton balls, I could tell that the molluscum were responding. One of them turned bloody dark like a scab. I continued with the treatment, and I had 4 more turned bloody dark like a scab. There are 3 more that are a bit stubborn, but I will keep trying. Also, put neosporin on all of them and covered them during the day. When you put the cotton balls, try a little piece of cotton on the Molluscum if the Molluscun is spread out, that way you can avoid any irritation to the skin around it.
I was wondering if anyone here has done the ACV treatment and can tell me when it is safe to stop the ACV cotton ball treatment? I also want to know if I should put more or less than 8 cups in the bath?"
Apple Cider Vinegar, Lemon Myrtle and Tea Tree Oil
[YEA] 06/28/2012: David from Melbourne, Vic: "This will be my first ever posting on the internet for I simply could not help share my personal cure for molluscum. After reading countless sites and forums over a period of a year I found the only thing I could to rid myself of molluscum, of which I endured for over a year until very recently! A truly horrible experience I have to add!
Firstly I would like to say please ensure you are very careful to not pass this on as I had no physical contact for over a year and was at my wits end. Be vigiliant as other people tell you keep the infected areas clean and try and use handtowels to dry this area, and wash them regularly as you don't want to spread them over the rest of your body, for they soon spread!
Anyhow I tried numerous concoctions such as expensive creams from the dermatoligist, also creams such as Dr Wheatgerm's, nail polish, canesten and numerous other things; but never bleach as some suggest though by the need of it I was nearly willing to try. So basically the only thing that worked, for me, was a mixture of tea tree oil, lemon myrtle (difficult to get hold of though) and Raw Organic apple cider vinegar. By themselves these were not that efficent, though teatree was somewhat effective. Basically I mixed these in a bottle along with some water to dilute the ACV etc and applied with cotton balls or make up pads. However, if I had a large one appearing I would soak the cotton ball a little (but only enough to cover the infected area) and use medical tape and tape them on overnight, or simply treat as many times a day as you can. In a matter of weeks they were all gone!!!
A note of warning though be mindful of not exposing unaffected skin to ACV as it can leave burns, although the markings have dissapeared. Just be sure to use the cloudy organic ACV as the normal ACV is useless! Good luck and hope this helps."
Apple Cider Vinegar, Probiotics
[YEA] 11/15/2011: Tracy S from London, England: "My son has molluscum and we used ACV and it helped but I also made him take a probiotic vitamin for a healthy immune system. You can buy these for children and adults in chemists, because one of the reasons for getting molluscum is having a low immune system. We also made him shower the area twice a day. And changed his clothes everyday. It is working great and he only has two now."Replies
01/19/2012: Aaronfromnorthgeorgia from Flintstone, Ga Usa replies: "My 9 month old was just diagnosed with MC. Although it sounds like there have been some good results, I am hesitant. A 9 month old will not understand that the pain caused by ACV, is a good pain. Can anyone help me with this dilemma? What should I do?"
01/19/2012: P from Middle, Fl replies: "Check out coconut oils and aloe vera gel or even the juice, just moisten skin with plain aloe juice and apply the oil over it! You can also use chamomile tea as an after bath tonic! Even a sea salt soak might work!"
01/19/2012: Tina from Houston, Us replies: "Please google 'pranic healing' and find someone who can do this. You will see results within a few sessions."
01/20/2012: Jen from Bozeman, Mt, Us replies: "I can tell you that I don't think the apple cidar vinegar is painful as much as it is just unpleasant smelling. As long as you don't puncture the molluscum they will not be painful with the apple cider on top. I treated my 10 year old daughter with it and the only issue was the smell. The molluscum she had was right on her shoulders. I put a makeup pad soaked in it and taped them over the molluscum then left it on while she slept for seven nights. She whined about the smell but I never heard a complaint about it being painful. 9 month olds are usually not to worried about smells yet so I don't think it will hurt them as long as the molluscum are not open sores.
I tried the apple cider vinegar on my other child's planters wart that was getting so huge that it was affecting her ability to walk as it was on the instep of her foot. It only took a couple treatments and now it's just a small red scar. ACV is amazing."
06/11/2012: Mc In Pa from Allentown replies: "Does anyone have experience with MC on their face or tongue? All discussion here has been about the skin, but what happens when it goes beyond that? I was MC free for a year, went into a friends hot tub, and red spots appeared. Thought nothing of it, til I spotted red spots on my tongue, which soon spread to the back of my throat (I take it they transferred from my body to my girls, where I picked it up orally). Any suggestions on this? I've soaked a cotton ball in ACV and left it on my tongue as long as possible, I gargle with 1/2 ACV/1/2 water, but still they remain. This virus sucks- I'm just hoping it can't pass beyond my tongue/throat and cause internal problems."
10/19/2012: Bess from Calgary, Alberta, Canada: "A mother wrote an interesting blog entry using aromatherapy to cure her toddler's molluscum contagiosum. It's very informative and she posts photos of her little boy and his progress. It did take several months but the spots haven't come back. It's posted on a site that sells essential oils but you can buy essential oils just about anywhere these days. It's the information that is useful. For what it's worth:
Lemon myrtle is usually applied to adult skin but the mother found it too harsh on her son so she used Ravensara in Calophyllum.
Hope this helps someone."
[YEA] 04/12/2012: Mom T from Cincinnati, Ohio: "Two of my boys had Molluscum Contagiosum, and we have found our own way to get rid of them. It takes consistency, but it works. Every night and Every morning they would rub each bump with a Clearasil pad (the ones with 2% saucilic acid in them). This dries the bumps out and they disappear within a couple weeks. Now, both of my boys also have severe Eczema. So obviously using a drying agent on their skin caused their Eczema to flair (esp. Since it was in their elbow arm pits- a bad eczema spot anyway). We combated their eczema at the same time with their prescription Elocon lotion (being sure not to touch the bumps with the eczema lotation, b/c that would just counteract the molluscum treatment you just did) The bumps will be a little painful and bright red as they are drying out, but I promise they will go away one by one, quickly! Try it and see if it works for you- I hope!!! Molluscum is awful and ugly!"
[YEA] 08/31/2012: Godblessedme from Milwaukee, Wisconsin: "CLOVE OIL! CLOVE OIL! CLOVE OIL! I caught molluscum from a sauna at the gym, I had a hard time getting rid of most of them. I tried ACV and that just irritated my skin and made things worse. I ordered the strongest Tea Tree oil on the market from Melaleuca, that worked a little better but it took quite a while. After 8 months I thought they had all gone away but apparently I had one little spot that stuck around for another 4-5 months, I didnt realize what it was and scratched it. Well needless to say, it spread to about 7 bumps. I was devistated, then I found this thread and someone had mentioned clove oil. I got 100% pure clove oil, applied it to the spots and within hours the spots were smaller and almost gone. I applied the oil 4 times and over night, they had all disapeared! I was amazed and so relieved! Try clove oil! Just be careful because it seriously burns if you get in the wrong areas by accident. I have a hypothyroidism which causes my immune system to be weaker than normal, so I thought I would never be cured of this. With much praying and much effort of not irritating the spots, and dialy upkeep of oils and cleansing I am happily free of the ailment!!! Good luck to everyone, I hope my advice helped someone. Prayers and Clove oil!"
[YEA] 07/22/2012: Clove Oil Worked Best from Orlando, Fl: "Clove oil worked in a couple days for Molluscam Contagiosum and doesn't hurt or damage the skin. Did the ACV and it worked okay, but just hurt my 2 yr old too much. Tried zymaderm, didn't work. Tried clove oil applied directly too spots (my bottle was over 8 yrs old so I applied direct, but probably dilute with carrior oil if new(some say their oil is strong enough undiluted to blister. So be careful, don't get it too strong). It should only be a mild tingle if anything when applied. First the spot gets a little raised and inflamed around it. Then the horrible little spots get a dark spot in the center within a couple days of 2 applications per day and fall out. Killed them dead. Finally something that works, if I had only known at the beginning, he would have only had 15 spots to treat not 50. Clove oil, who knew."Replies
11/03/2012: Rkainne from Guerneville, Ca replies: "Hello everyone. for the last few years, I, too, have suffered from mc, - on my face! So, I am very leary of treating with the acidic apple cider vinegar (acv) and had more questions about the clove oil treatment.
#cowb in orlando, fl, if you're out there, you wrote that you applied the clove oil directly. My questions: how often did you aply the oil and how did you apply it? did you put it on cotton or some other carrier and bandaid it as with the acv? thx ahead of time. I want these little guys gone..."
11/08/2012: Clove Oil Works from Orlando, Fl replies: "I applied the clove oil at 100%. That said it is NOT recommended. You should dilute it per recommendation at 20/80 clove oil to coconut oil or a carrier oil. The face is tender skin. If you put it on undiluted or even 50/50. It will sting for about 10 minutes. Not bad just wow warm. Don't use if you have medical conditions... Etc. depending on the size of the MC, small ones will only need a couple days if clove oil applied with a q-tip, and then they will get a tiny scab in the center and they are dead. Mature ones might take a week or two. But NOTHING out there works as quickly or painlessly without damaging the skin like clove oil. PS. It also cured a coworkers jungle rot. You don't need to cover it with band aids. Just dab the spot with the clove oil mix. Let it soak in and forget about it. I put this out on the web in June 2012 and I have found many people who have replied that it worked for them. Please let us know your results."
[YEA] 03/14/2013: Steph from London, Uk replies: "This has really worked for me so far.
I woke up with spots all over my side and collar area a few days ago and went straight to see the doctor. She told me it was MC, that it will go away on its own and to not share towels with others.
I immediately came home and started dabbing them with ACV before even looking it up. After some more research, I tried clove oil. It's been less than 2 days, and the spots are already dried up and look like they may be on their way out. They are very small, so they don't really have a head, although it looks like they have a tiny tiny black head, which is towards the end I think.
I don't know if I have a mild case, which explains why they are small, but either way I recommend treating spots ASAP after diagnosis or, prefereably, discovery.
I would not recommend picking or scraping.
Clove oil all the way!"
[YEA] 09/23/2012: Relieved Mom from San Francisco, Ca: "My 8 year old son got MC about last winter and it spread like mad over the summer. First we tried apple cider vinegar - it worked a little but burned and itched. He also had so many lesions that I was concerned about spreading them every time I used a cotton ball to dab the ACV on. Tried clove oil (no change at all), tea tree oil (dried his skin out and itched), and boosted his immunity with vitamins and probiotics. Nothing worked until we tried Colloidal Silver. Within 2 days of ingesting 1 tsp/day and spraying his body topically, almost half of the lesions in his armpit (which was covered) were gone. He was also pain free from the itching and burning. We are 4 days in and every day the improvement is tremendous. I bought it over the counter at Whole Foods and can't believe the change. He is thrilled and I am so relieved that something finally worked!"
Dead Sea Mud
[YEA] 10/14/2012: Mohammed from Amman, Jordan: "My 4th year daughter diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum , it started with about 25 spots , we take her to the dermatologist , and he adviced us to make a cryotherapy to remove it - it was abad experince for my daughter because it was painful - we did it because it was a fast solution to prevent spreading the virus to other areas on her body , after 2 weeks I noticed a small spots with a numerous numbers all over her hands and legs , we were shoked from that , so we took her again to her dermatologist , he adviced us to paint Benzac 5% all over her legs and arms , of course I did not listen to him , because Benzac 5% it an irritating medicine it will casue a pain and my daughter and she may scratch it - Because of benzac - and this will lead to spread the virus to other areas on her body or to us ...
Since I live in Jordan where dead sea locate in , I know Many people come from all over world to the dead sea to enjoy there and to treat many skin diseases such as psoriasis , even when I was in Jordan - now im living in other country - I used to go with my family and friends to swim in the dead see , and paint our bodies with this mud , By the way this mud is very rich of minerals especially sulfur and it has astrange texture because it lays under the most salted sea in the deepest point in the world , where you cant find and creature live in because of heigh concentration of the salt and minerlas - except some kind of Bacteria where discovered recently - , by the way and many cosmatic companies used this mud in their product ....

10/06/2012: Mohammed from Jordan, Amman: "Hi, before a six month my four years old daughter diagnosed with MC. It start to appear in her upper legs that time there was about 25 spot in both leg, so her dermatologist suggest to remove it by cryotherapy. I know it is painful procedure but I decide to do it because I was afraid to scratch it. Any how me and my wife were happy because all has been removed but before a few weeks it start to reappear again so we decide to use Benzac 5% on the new one. After a few days these spots become dry and disppeared. We thought at that moment that the problem was finished. UNFORTUNATELY, we discoverd a very small numerous number of MC on her both small arms, they were very small and almost cover her arms and start to cover her left cheek. We were shocked. Her dermatologist said we can do nothing just give her a multivitamins which contain Zinc because Zinc will boost her immunity to fight the virus, also he advised us to put Benzac 5% every other days with a moisturizer cream (Bioderma PO zinc) cuz that cream will cause dryness and irritaion for her skin .....
I was very sad for her then I had an idea. What if I use Dead sea mud on her arms and legs to see what will happened . Especially that this mud is used to treat various types of skin disease such as Psoriasis and acne. Actually I'm living in Jordan( where dead Sea locate in) and I used to put that mud on my body when I go to swim in Dead sea, actually it tighten your skin, make it smooth, and it has an exfoliating effect cuz it is rich in sulfur and other minerals , Before two days I started to put Dead sea mud on her skin and we leave it for 15 minutes till it become dry then we wash it with water and Dettol shower gel. We noticed that after shower all the spots become big, red, and inflamed but after one hour they come back to its normal size. Some of these spots become white, really I dont know what that mean?? Is it a good sign or not... I hope it will work and I will tell you what will happened within a few weeks with her. Sorry if my english language was not fluent ...."Replies
10/09/2012: Mohammed from Jordan, Amman replies: "It is me again, this is the 4th day from treating my daughter from MC by Dead sea mud. we found that all spots with white heads become black and dried. I'm not sure if the size decreased, we will continue on that treatment and see what will happened.... By the way I read on the net about using clove oil for treating MC and I found that tgis oil is toxic and cancerous material for human being , if you want to use it you have to dilute it."
[YEA] 10/14/2012: Mohammed from Amman, Jordan replies: "Its me again, thanks god most of the spot gone within one week, still one big white spot we did not treat it by the mud, we used to treat it by painting it by Benzac 5% then cover it by medical plaster, Because we were afraid that my daughter scratch it, - and as you know these white spots contains a liquid rich in th MC virus, and this liquid in very contagious ....
Any how today we put Dead sea Mud on that spot for 15 minutes, I think it will work because after we clean the mud we see some blood, we put some Betadine and cover it again by a medical plaster ...
Dead sea Mud, Its is a great treatment for the spots of MC, we paint these these spots twice a day, wthin 1 week all become dry, small, then disappered, I recomend it strongly, it has no side effect, it is not toxic or cancerous material like clove oil, no irritation like Apple cider vineger, no dryness effect, it will leave your skin sfot and clean."
10/25/2011: Worriedmom from Flatrock, Newfoundland, Canada: "Hi all, I started using ACV to treat my daughters 4 spots on the inside of her thigh 3 nights ago. The larger ones are drying up and looking dark inside but dozens of others have popped up on her chest, legs, arms virtually overnight. These are really red and angry looking.... Please tell me this is normal. I have read that they normally start looking worse before they get better but now I am starting to panic. Last night I soaked a bandaid in ACV and left it on overnight and then starting seeing all these other spots pop up. They look more irrated then the original spots. Could her body be reacting and attacking these spots that were so small that I could not see them before?
Any help would be great appreciated :)"Replies
01/10/2012: Hope1 from Columbus, Ohio replies: "Hello all, first I'll give my story. In May of 2011 I got molluscum from my bf. I knew he had something I saw a bump but I thought it was a zit. No. We use condoms but that did not help I guess. I was treating my bumbs by putting Apple Cider Vinegar on a q tip and scrubbing the shit outta of those things. It would hurt and I would also use tea tree oil. I would put it on a cotten ball and just coat my legs or any place I saw weird redness (no bumps yet just looked like they were trying to come. ) This worked. I had scarring that I used vit e oil for and I got rid of it after about 3 months. Then I spent the summer with my boyfriend here I am with it again. I'm using my old method except I also use aloe vera gel to calm my skin. NO LOTION. NO SHAVING. Keep it dry and wear clothes that dont rub. Try to be naked. Lol. I know weird but it helps. Wash everything! I became a neat freak. Oh I also started putting Apple Cider Vinegar in a spray bottle and spray my whole body b4 I get in the shower. I let it set for as long as I can. Its seems help or at least preventing it from becoming worse.. Hope tht helps!"
03/08/2012: Blair from Santa Barbara, California replies: "Alright I'm a 15 year old male. I've had molluscum on my right arm around the middle of the wrist and inside elbow for like a year now maybe. I'm thinking I got it because I have eczema. It started off as just 1 bump, then soon enough, 3-5 bumps. After wrestling season ended, I had around 10, then I started picking at them, then soon enough around 40-50. I did not know what this was, so I did some online research. I searched "MC" on google, and it looked like what was on my arm. So I went to the doctor about a week ago. He confirmed that it was indeed MC. He told me what all doctors say: "it will go away on its own". I wasn't buyin it. There had to be some sort of treatment. I did more research that night. I was'nt finding anything. I was so frustrated because I cannot go back to wrestling until these are cleared up, because obviously they are contagious. I'm wondering if I had spread it to any of the other wrestlers because I was wrestling without knowing what they were.
After hours and hours of research I came across the ACV method. I thought "what the heck I guess I should try it". The first night, I took an ACV bath, and applied ACV to a cotton ball, put it on the most affected areas, and put a big bandaid pad over them. The next morning I saw a major change. The bumps turned a dark brown color, and the swelling of the bumps went down. However, the skin around the bumps looked red, so I assumed that it was irritating my skin, so tonight I'm going to try just applying ACV to qtips and rubbing the bumps, so I don't irritate my skin. I'm a little bit confused though, because the main MC bumps look like they're scabbing, so I'm wondering if I should keep treating those ones too? This really sucks because I'm constantly at war with my skin. I battled impetigo (type of staph) about a month ago and won, and currently battling ringworm (not as concerned about that though).
I'm just praying and hoping to God that I don't spread these to anyone else. If someone could email me at Sanata50lbsburrito(at)gmail.com and tell me some other steps and tips I could use, maybe some MC stories, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks"
03/19/2012: Poptop from Las Vegas, Nv replies: "Hey all, These things suck... I tried everything to cure them. Putting apple cider vinegar on them (did nothing), drinking apple cider vinegar (almost threw up), in the end the best thing that works is putting toothpaste on them and putting a little circle band aid on them and reapplying a fresh bandage after every shower. Guys if they're on your penis, don't masturbate or trim the pubic hair it will only spread and I assume it's the same with you ladies.
You were most likely infected thanks to a towel shared by someone who was already infected or through genital contact. They can take a while to go away but with the above mentioned regimen should clear up in less than a week. So get on it!"
03/21/2012: Nora from Stafford, Virginia replies: "I'm 14, and I was diagnosed with Molluscum contagiousum about two months ago. When I look back on it, it wasn't as bad as it is now! The doctor put acid on it every 2 weeks, and I've had it done twice. It seems to blister, disapear, then multiply several times making it horrid. I tried the apple cider vinegar treatment about 3 days ago. I applied ACV soaked cotton balls, drank ACV diluted with water to rid the virus internally, and have taken a 45 minute bath with 2 cups of ACV each night. It's result now is a few small have popped up, some have turned black and scabbed, but most have became very red and white tipped. It's a very emmbarrising issue I have to deal with as a teenage girl. I have to wear sweatpants in gym and change in the showers at the locker room. Not to mention I am going to Florida in 2 weeks, and will be unable to wear shorts or swim unless it clears up. It has reduced me to tears several times for I have a harsh case with 75-100 bumps all over my right leg with large clusters around my knee, and spreading to my right knee. I'm tall and skinny, underweight, and maybe that's why my immune system allowed this virus slip in. I am going through a harsh time right now, battling many emotional issues, and this is my main issue which has brought my self esteem to an all time low. It's very hard for me. And I'm so scared I'll have to live with this for a long time. I want nothing more in the world for this horrid virus to leave my skin before it tips me over the edge. I may be over reacting but looks are all I got, I've been told. When will this dang apple cider vinegar work!! ?? Someone please tell me if it's on the right track!! :''("
10/16/2011: Lifeisablessing from Bronx, New York, united States: "I have had mc for a little over four months now and im currently six months pregnant.. This has bin a nightmare!!! I want to get rid of this so bad... I went to the Dr. as soon as I seen a few and he didn't explain to me what it was and that it could spread all over my body and that it was contagious.. At first they just said it will go away and that it wasn't anything serious, they didn't say anything else so I didn't make anything of it. Now it's a lot worse and I went back to the Dr. and same thing again no explanation.. I feel that it was irresponsible of him... He just briefly told me what it was called (was surprised I remembered) and said not to mess with it. When I got home I go online and start researching and it scared me to find out everthing on this terrible virus! What if I did remember... It would have probably been worse! When I go back to the Dr. I'm going to tell them that that was a mistake on their part to not inform me what I had.
Any who.. I am happy to have found this page... I purchased the ACV and left it on for about 4 hours while I took a nap but it was very uncomfortable and the smell urghh so nasty... When I took off the bandages I saw that the ACV had surfaced the white spots that weren't so big before... I'm hoping to God that this works... I'm tired of being itchy and feeling this pain urghhhhhh it's like go away already!!! Lol I'm trying to be patient tho... But after this is gone OMG never again! .. I don't wish this on anyone!"Replies
12/05/2011: Melinda from Wash, Washington replies: "My daughter got MC about two weeks ago, immediately started using A microderm by a company called philosophy and a tea tree face spritz by Lush. The micro derm is a face wash but you leave it on for 1 minute. Wash it off, pat dry with towel, wait a few minutes then spritz with tea tree water and rub into affected area. She had a huge patch about 30, it has reduced to about 10 and they are tiny bumps. The philosophy micro derm is used in the morn and the night. It cost about 40.00 and the lush is about 15.00 but it has worked for her- she is only 7 so it was very embarrasing for her."
12/27/2011: Nikki from Okinawa, Japan replies: "Both of my small boys, 3 & 5, have molluscum contagiosum. It started out as a few bumps but has recently started spreading all over their torsos. After reading everything that I could find on this virus, I have decided that I would try the Recovery Spray from Dr. Wheatgrass. I haven't received it yet, but it has VERY high reviews with most people seeing great results within a few weeks. I am hopeful that it will work that well for my boys because I don't want to put them through the misery of the ACV treatment and this spray is reported to be painless. I just wanted to mention this and let everyone know that I will report back with the results. Wish me luck!!"

[YEA] 04/16/2012: Tracy from Asheville, Nc: "My 2 1/2 year old daughter began to develop small bumps on her neck about 6 months ago. I thought they were skin tags.... But it seems instead that they are MC. We did not go to the doctor for this but learned of this condition from a friend. I have tried the ACV swabbed on her neck but she just fights me. I have instead turned to Grapefruit Seed Extract as it helped me with perioral dermatitis a year ago. I have been giving her 2 drops of GSE in a 6 oz. Glass of OJ once daily. Within 48 hours, her MC spots began to dry up. She has done this for 9 days now and the MC spots are just tiny scars. I believe they will be gone within the next week. I wanted to share this because I had not yet read about using GSE for MC.... But it works and it's simple. Good luck to you."Replies
[YEA] 05/07/2012: Tracy from Asheville, Nc replies: "Just an update... I have been giving my daughter the grapefruit seed extract (2 drops in a 6 oz. Glass OJ) once daily for 4 weeks now. All of the molluscum are gone from her neck with only very faint scars. She has just 2-3 very tiny bumbs on her chest left. I plan to keep this up for another 2-3 weeks to make sure they are all gone and then wean her off of it.
FYI... The molluscum bumps will look worse before the fall off. They turn red, a little white "core" comes out of the center and then they scab over and then fall off. I made a point of never touching them and just letting them fall off on their own. This technique really seemed to work and was much easier for me then trying to swab her with ACV (she hated that). So grateful to have learned of GSE... It has resolved 2 seperate skin issues in the last year for our family."
[YEA] 04/12/2012: Melody12 from London, lectionnez Un Etat, United Kingdom: "Hello, I am just writing to let you know that Hydrogen Peroxide seems to be doing a great job for me. An Algerian doctor told me to dab it on with Q-tip on each spot and hold on for a couple of minutes on each one, then leave to dry. The molluscum seems to be coming up to surface, then after a few days of use, they either fade away or dry out. I have tried ACV for 12 hours first, given the positive feedbacks from everyone, but I had to discontinue it since my molluscum is around my genitals, and I ended up with blisters (can't find the words to describe the pain) the skin was way too sensitive for the ACV. I have left the skin to rest for a couple of days, dabbing only with vitamin e cream, then started Hydrogen Peroxide for the past 10 days like the doctor told me. I am very happy, it doesn't cost much, seems gentle on my skin AND it's doing the job. I should have listened to her earlier. I am doing this 3 times a day. Additionally to this, I am drinking two tsp of ACV in a glass of water twice a day (fighting it from inside). Also my doctor told me to avoid baths, to not scratch, and to not wipe but just dab toilet paper on to avoid spreading it to nearby areas. Will keep you posted on how it's going. Thank you for this great website! "
[YEA] 08/14/2010: Wiesewose from Cairns, Australia: "My 5year old daughter had a severe case of molluscum contagiosum. She started with about 10 of the warts on her buttocks, and they started multiplying and spreading very fast. Within a year she had I estimate over a hundred all down her legs. And my 3 other children started to get them too. I freaked out. Twice I went to the docter, and both times he told me to let it run its course. Yeah right; that was what I did for a year and look what happened! And what if it spread to my newborn baby? My daughter was getting self consious, you could see them on her legs under her school uniform. I had to do something. I tried ACV, clay baths, a product from the chemist for warts, Epsom salts and olive oil mixed with lemon myrtle essential oil, or even pulling them out with tweezers. Nothing worked. I tried Lugols iodine, and the little buggers started to crust over after 3 days of applying Lugols twice a day with a Q-tip, and when the crust fell off, nothing was underneath! You could actually see the white center (that is the virus) soak all the iodine up and look like a blackhead, YEAH! That's exactly where the iodine needed to go. Within one month all my children are Mollusum free. You cannot describe the relief I feel, I have to share that."Replies
