[YEA] 09/15/2007: Ruby May from Nagano, Japan: "According to my mother, when I was 5 years old the doctor said, I got a kidney. I don't know what kind of medication my mother applied to me but I'm pretty sure it was in natural way. "The wonders of herbs and water."
When I was in elementary grades it attacked me again. It was very severe pain and when I was in high school also. I always drink Guyabono leaves boiled and make it for tea and seven kinds of leaves also put it together to boiled, and corn bills. We are poor in my country (Philippines) and my mother can't afford in operation and even for medicine. If I got attacked a severe pain and illness in several times in several years, my mother knew what it was and let me to drink home maid or I called it my mother's tea. It served as my daily water and I stop drinking when I felt better and okey.
In college I was attacked again because I worked as a working student in a University, my worked was to check the faculty in their respective classroom in every hour in 5-story building. I can't urinate if I urinate it only a drops but I can't felt the pain and on an off fever with chilling. My mother was troubled and tried everything what is herbal, she tried pure cucumber juice, young coconut juice to make me urinate and it works. I was 17 yrs. old. The next attacked, when I was 23 yrs old. I am away with my mother; I worked in factory 8 hrs or 12 hrs a day and also a regular student in a university. I slept 3 to 4 hrs a day (a day cause I worked in grave yard and day in school and in bed). These was the worst things happened in my life, the very worst pain and worst ill, all my grades was failure, confined in hospital for almost 3 weeks.
Mother was not around only my high school sister who leaves with me. My mother cannot come because of financial. So my sister tried also what my mother did, the home maid tea, cucumber juice, young coconut juice, guyabono tea, and this time we applied new, the pure lemon juice every morning.
The stomach must be empty before taking a pure glass of lemon juice for 4 days and no meals after drinking lemon juice in 1 hr. and in 3 days half glass of lemon juice. It works really. Before the doctor said operation! Operation! I said NO because I have no money for operation and aside I knew it will not make me fine cause these illness I must say it attached in my entire life since when I was born and till now (37 yrs old) but I have no worries now about kidney problem. I'm now working here in Japan if I got stress and over fatigue in work and make me ill and if I can't urinate even I drink a lot of water. I know my kidney problem is attacking again and no need of doctor's advice. Now, I know how to resolve this problem. I discovered the Alingitngit leaves, the leaves it look likes a green tea leaves. These leaves always be with me in several years it just like I'm depending my health on this leaves I learn that this is good for filtering for what ever we intakes in our body and that's the work of the kidney (to filter). I'm taking also Gabon (sorry I don't know what the English name of alingitngit or gabon nor their scientific name) but you can found this in Philippines. It saves my health of frequent attacking my illness, my kidney problem and no cost of money at all. I passed this to my several friends. Sometimes I'm taking apple cider vinegar, apple juice, pure lemon juice, and pure cucumber juice just for my health. I will try' mixing olive oil and lemon to remove any stone inside in my body (I don't know if have a gallstone). I think everybody got a stone in the body; we are now leaving in mass polluted surroundings. Whatever illnesses we have try in natural or in herbs way there is no harm with it just go back in basic and ancient ways "the natural remedies". JUST VERY SIMPLE!"
We did a little research and found the following information on Alingitngit leaves, AKA TSAANG GUBAT on the website:
Luzon:' Kalabong, Kalimumog, Katdalugod, Maragued, Mara-mara, Taglokot, Talibunog,
Tst, Tsaang-gubat, Tsa-tsa
Visayas: Alibungog, Semente
Mindanao: Alangitngit, Alingitngit, Buyo-buyo
Tsaang-gubat is a low, woody plant with several stems. It is grown as ornamental or bonsai because of its attractive appearance. Its leaves are small and have dark, green and shiny upper surface. Tsaang-gubat is indicated or used primarily for diarrhea. But it is also advised for stomachache and colic.
Diarrhea: A person has diarrhea or LBM (Loose Bowel Movement) when his stool is soft to watery and when he has to move his bowels more often than two times in one day. To treat diarrhea using Tsaang-gubat, follow these steps:
1. Determine the amount of Tsaang-gubat leaves to use. The amount of leaves to use varies according to the age of patient and the condition of leaves, as follows:
Condition of Leaves Age of Patient Fresh (chopped) Dried (crushed) Adult 12 tbsp.
5 tbsp. 2-6 years 3 tbsp.
2 1/2 tbsp.
2. Boil correct amount of leaves in 2 glasses of water for 15 minutes.
3. Let cool, then strain and divide into 4 parts.
4. Take 1 part every two hours (until stool becomes solid).
Boiling the Mixture: There are important rules to follow when boiling the leaves in water. Observe strictly the following:
a. Use only enameled container or claypot ("palayok"), never an aluminum pot.
b. A standard glass or cup should contain 240 ml. or 8 fluid ounces of water. This measurement is the same as the content of a bottle or regular size Pepsi or Coke.
c. Mix leaves in water before placing on fire.
d. As soon as the mixture boils uncover the pot and let boil continuously for 15 minutes. Remember that the mixture should boil uncovered.
e. Strain and let cool. You now have what is called "decoction."
Storing the Decoction: For convenience, you may prepare enough decoction that you can use for several days. Simply adjust the amount of leaves to use according to the amount of water that you will boil. When kept in thermo pot ("termos"), the decoction will last for three days without losing its efficacy. When kept in refrigerator, the decoction will last up to four days without losing its efficacy. Keep in mind, however, that whether kept in thermo pot or refrigerated the decoction must not be taken anymore when its color has changed or when it has grown molds or fungus.

This has damaged my kidney and because of this I am on medications from last 13 years. My dosage is 2 500mg cellcept per day, 1 lohram daily & 1 5mg steroid daily and my DNA test is still positive. Please suggest I am so scared of this disease. I wanna save my kidney and remove this disease from my body. My self esteem is too lowering day by day by steroids side effects(Weight gain and ol). Please help! God bless ol. Waiting for high responses. Please suggest what should I do?"Replies
03/16/2013: Rsw from Uniontown, Oh replies: "Look into low dose naltrexone for help with Lupus. It is an autoimmune disease that has been proven to be helped by LDN. The site to look at is www.ldninfo.org. Then join the Yahoo LDN group that is listed on that site for specific advise from people who use it for Lupus. I understand the Naltrexone can be purchased in any drugstore in India without a prescription. It will be a 50 mg tablet that needs to be diluted by mixing it with 50ml of distilled water (so 1 ml = 1mg LDN) then withdrawing a dose of up to 4.5 mg once a day. (VERY IMPORTANT - NO MORE THAN THIS PER DAY - IT NEEDS TO BE LOW DOSE TO WORK) Each tablet will last at least 15 days. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator. This should help you very much. Best wishes!"

He is dead but I personally love the way he writes in simple terms and easy to understand explanations. There are so many book reviews with testimonies of healings and miraculous results from people who bought his books and followed the advice and broke free of their hellish symptoms. Most said they had two books.... the bible and the water book by this guy."

Nephritis Remedy Summary
10/29/2010: Lis from Ny, Ny, Usa: "Nephritis (high protein in urine) - Summary of Remedies from Ted and the Earth Clinic Community
Often bacterial in origin or the body has an infection.
1. Alkalize (raise immunity and reduce bacteria): Drink two tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 a cup of water twice a day (morning and night) on an empty stomach for four to five days a week. Or two to eight teaspoons lime or lemon juice plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 cup of water twice a day. You can alternate between these two formulas.
2. Zinc: Take 50 mg of zinc gluconate per week.
3. Magnesium: Take 250 mg of magnesium citrate five days out of the week -- increases the body's defenses against bacteria, thus reducing the high protein in the kidneys.
4. Sea Salt: Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in one liter of water and drink throughout the day -- will raise the salinity of the urine somewhat and the antibiotic effect of the salt will reduce the bacteria thus reducing the protein buildup in the urine.
5. Oil Pulling: See here http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/oil_pulling.html
6. Lecithin Granules: One tablespoon lecithin in a cup of water one to three times a day, 30 minutes before eating -- reduces excess fatty liver and reduces the liver's congestion.
7. Clove Oil: Mix one drop of clove oil in one liter of water and drink through the day - kills the bacterium in the liver, thus reducing the high protein in the kidneys.
*For cloudy urine, taking a vitamin B complex for a couple of days may help clear it up and reduce the protein buildup.
*Also discontinue drinking carbonated beverages
11/01/2010: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Nephritis Summary Revised...
Excess protein may be linked to taking too much protein and lack of digestive enzyme that digests the protein, such as protease, and may be supplemented with pancreatic enzymes, bromelain enzymes and to some extent papain. The total protease should be 50 to 100 mg taken before meals 3 times a day, bromelain 2500 GDU, and papain roughly 250 to 500 mg also three times a day. There was a case where a doctor gave patients 10 white eggs a day plus steroids as a way to reduce urine protein but that actually made it worse. Milk powder also worsened. An excess urine protein can also be lack of amino balance such as arginine or glutamine, for example.
A simple test is possible. A protein free diet or caloric restriction for 3 days to see if there is improvement.
12/03/2010: Marie from Manistique, Mi, Usa replies: "I am currently nursing my 6 month (almost 7 mos. ) old. I have had high protein in the urine for a long time =1 to 2 . During my pregnancy, I had 4 and was retaining water. The Dr.s induced labor and the protein was down to 2 again by 6 week check up. Can I continue nursing and do these remedies or should I ween her first? I need to get this problem cleared up. Thank you for this site and all the info people post. It is truly a gift you give to us! I thank God I found you! "
[YEA] 05/19/2013: Imran Abid from Portland, Ct, Usa: "People with bad kidney try this and this works too. Buy fresh okra from food store but you will be using only two a day for every day till you feel better. Take two and cut both ends then split from one side leave them in glass of water for over night. In the morning squeeze them good and drink the water. You don't have to eat okra. Do it and let other people know.

Remedies for Horseshoe Kidney
02/06/2013: Dee from Porter, Tx, Usa: "My 8 year old son has a horseshoe kidney, meaning his two kidneys are connected in a U shape. I am told this occurs in about 1 in 800 births, more predominantly in males. This was brought to my attention by our family doctor several months ago, after conducting numerous tests. She stated, at the time, that there was no urgent health issue present, but that I should take him to see a specialist in the near future. Since we are now inbetween health insurance, I have put this off for a few months.
In the meantime, he complains of frequent stomachaches. These are not sharp pains or severe nausea; just discomfort. It is worse at times, and he has missed a few days of school. But there have been various viruses going around his school for the past few weeks, so I assumed it was unrelated. I have tried adjusting his diet to include more raw fruits and vegetables, and fewer processed foods. I insist that he drink plenty of water. I sometimes offer him herbal teas (peppermint or ginger/lemongrass). But I wonder if there is something else I can give him on a daily basis to ease or prevent these stomachaches. I wonder if I should give him herbs or enzymes to help his kidneys function better. He does occasionally take a chewable papaya enzyme, when he remembers, but I'm not sure if it helps.
We have also been through some difficult (but common) transitions in the last year, and he is undoubtedly stressed about those things, even though there is much stability now. He is a very good student, and a well mannered child, but he tends to exhibit signs of stress more than his siblings do. So this causes me to wonder if the stomachaches have nothing to do with his kidneys.
I expect to make an appointment with a specialist next month, but if I am advised that a lifetime of pharmaceuticals is the answer, I will seek answers elsewhere."Replies
02/07/2013: Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa replies: "Dee: if the stomach aches are also associated with improper bowel activity like constipation or diarrhea, it would suggest the high probability of Parasite infestation, as almost all children, at some point of development, have an occurrence of worms. Lots of treatment option posts here on E.C. For that, under the "Ailments" section at top page.
As for the Kidneys, most herbal product lines have a "kidney complex", which is better than just one or two herbs that support urinary health. Typical ingredients in this line are Cranberry, Slippery Elm, Uvi Ursi, Juniper Berry, Parsley, and others. Take this as suggested on labels. It is advised to have a week on week off rotation so as to avoid any long term alteration in electrolyte balance. Speaking of electrolytes, a good multimineral supplement would do wonders. Replace processed table salt with Iodized Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt."

I am only 34 years old I need to stop the protein in my urine and stop Ckd advancement- is there a natural remedy or tea? I take all my meds.. Please help me!! I have another set of test to take next month I'm scared! I have tried everything I know. Thank, P"Replies
10/21/2012: Waynow from Modesto, Ca/ Usa replies: "I understand you're scared. Finding a good enough solution can help that fear diminish a great deal.
Both diabetes types, as well as the kidneys, respond extremely favorably to Vit C. One doctor made remarks to the effect that, diabetes itself is the direct result of lack of ascorbic acid, thus causing metabolism problems, then insulin problems, which lead to the development of type II diabetes.
As for the kidneys, here's a quote about doing ascorbic acid 2 grams each two hours:
"Here, then, we have a situation where the complete genito-urinary tract from the renal tubules to the urethra would be continuously bathed in a fluid that is bactericidal and virucidal, and has detoxicating and wound-healing properties. Infections of the urinary tract should be more easily controlled through the use of this regimen. If antibiotics or other medicaments are employed, the ascorbic acid should aid and potentiate their effects. There do not seem to be any predictable contraindications to its use as an adjuvant treatment. The continued presence of high levels of ascorbic acid in the urine in contact with all these tissues should prevent any incipient infections from developing."
10/21/2012: Waytogo from Modesto, Ca/ USA replies: "The only addition I would make to my previous post, is that with kidneys, one proceeds with the application of ascorbic acid more slowly, and ought to drink two quarts of water per day-- at least that's what The Healing Factor said. The water will prevent the buildup of calcium, which causes kidney stones. Apparently, with sufficient drinking of good water, the ascorbic acid then is helpful at not producing stones. Do not use calcium ascorbate... Has calcium. Also, it is important that the water be distilled or reverse osmosis type water, not tap, not spring water. Distilled can even be helpful in drawing off excess calcium stores. Hope this gives you some hope! --T."
02/10/2013: Sorin from Toronto, Ontario replies: "Hello, I'm stage 5 CKD... For the last 2 years. My doctor told me last month to keep doing what I'm doing. I tried a lot of folk remedies, unfortunatelly I didn't discover them early enough to stop my disease in an early stage. My GFR is less than 15, but I have no symptoms.
What I'm doing lately:
1. I'm taking daily Curcumin powder (or capsules). Up to 3-4 gramms is safe but I didn't took more than 2 gramms/day. Don't take it if you have gallbladder stones, as it might trigger crisis.
2. I'm taking 2-3 capsules Cordyceps Synepsis.
3. Herbal teas: mix stinging nettle, horsetail, marshmellow, couchgrass and lavender, equal parts, 2 tsp/250 ml boiled water twice a day.
3. Cut down on meat, dairy, cheese, eggs, not completely but way less than before.
4. Keep hydrated, sip at least 2 liters water through-out the day.
5. Daily walk for at least half an hour.
6. Having veggies and fruits when craving for a snack.
7. Eating home almost all the time, food made from scratch, no pre-cooked or frozen. Alcohool not more than 1-2 servings a week (stay away from spirits and beer)
What I did before:
Eating unhealthy, steaks, sausages, milk, alchool. I was prescribed slowly-slowly up to 10 pills a day. Since last year I've cut down almost all of them by myself, still taking atacand plus and rocatrol. My blood pressure is now 120/75 with little variations.
I hope my information will help you or any other people with this disease.
08/14/2012: Bradshad from North Providence, Rhode Island: "As if healing from psoriasis and arthritis is not hard enough I did a stool sample test and it came back positive for Klebsiella. I did 2 weeks of Uva ursa and now on to Berberine and also started for 1 week hydrogen peroxide 35%. Seems to be not helping at all. Im getting worried and thinking of getting antibiotics for my kidneys have been hurting for quite some time and I think the bacteria is in kidneys. Any thoughts? Thanks Brad.
Ps I was thinking of antibiotic then I will have to re build gut later, its seems like the logical option. I was gona do a water fast but considering I work outside everyday I dont think that would be very smart right now."
06/03/2012: Joseph from San Diego, California: "I have suffered from gout for 10 years and during those years, I was taking Indocin to relieve the pain and suffering. Not knowing the effects of Indocin, it affected my kidneys and 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. I was referred to Nephrologist and he told me that my creatinine level is 2.2, BUN of 40 and eGFR of 38. Forward to 2012 and I still have the same creatinine levels, BUN and eGFR but my Uric acid level is 5.3. I have dealt with my gout problem but I'm now dealing with Stage 3 Kidney Disease.
I'm 43 years old, not overweight, exercise regularly, quit eating meat, good physical shape and only eat vegetables and chicken for protein although I admit that I smoke 1 pack/week. I've read an article on the internet that taking Alpha Lipoic acid (300mg) and Nettle Leaf Tea twice a day will help me lower my creatinine levels. I took it for 2 months but it actually didn't do anything. I'm currently taking Allopurinol, Simasvatin and Lisinopril to control my gout, blood pressure and cholesterol. Can I still go back to normal BUN, creatinine levels and eGFR? What do I need to do? Please help? I don't want to take anymore medications 'coz I'm afraid that it will damage my organs in the future. Please give me some advise."Replies

And I'm more than grateful as I've got to the forum http://www.earthclinic.com about kidneys problems, dialysis, treatment, people writing about their problems, but those who are who are positive and trying to heal themselves even though doctors and others say it is not possible and that we should only expect it get worse every day.
I have found so many forums already but unfortunatly they have been only people saying about their problems and sharing what the doctors say about treatment and giving them no hope for cure. Me myself I'm on dialysis for more than 3 years and I just KNOW and believe it is POSSIBLE to heal myself and get my precious health back again! :) I'm in very good shape, as I'm taking really great care of myself. As a former martial artist for over 20 years I'm working out, doing yoga, chi-kung and mediatations and thanksgivings :) and have strong belief there is a chance to get off dialysis( and without needing transplant) and be healthy again! My Krea is around 700, Urea around 12-15. (dialysis are 3 times a week for 4 hours). Dear Melanie I have found you on this forum and your words gave me soo much hope and put a more light to my life knowing that healing is really possible that it is not only something I made up in my mind and waiting for miracle to happen! :)

For each 1/4 litre of water add one heaped teaspoons of herbs. The tea is an infusion (herbs are placed in boiling water and are kept in for 4-5 minutes). To 3 of the cups you have to add 1 teaspoon of Swedish Bitter/ cup.
Horsetail sitz bath, lasting 20 min, are taken. 100 gram of herbs/ bath are coald soaked overnight, heated in the morning, strained and the liquid added to the bath water. Water can be reused so that 3 sitz baths can be made from one lot of herbs. Warm Horsetail poultices are applied overnight and Swedish Bitter as compresses is applied to the kidney region for 4 hours during the day. Before applying the compress the skin is covered with lard/ Calendula ointment. After removing the compress apply baby poweder on the skin. In case of skin rash reduce the time or skip applying the compress until skin is healed.

01/17/2012: Mmsg from Somewhere, Europe replies: "Just found this and thought of you Zuzana:
Susun Weed in her book, "Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year, " highly recommends drinking both nettles and raspberry leaf tea throughout pregnancy. She specifically recommends drinking nettle tea during the last month of pregnancy to insure that large amounts of vitamin K are in the blood for the birth.
She recalls a woman who was told she would need to be put on a dialysis machine and used nettles tea as a part of her therapy to rebuild her kidneys, thus avoiding the dialysis machine. According to Weed: "Since the kidneys must cleanse 150 percent of the normal blood volume for most of the pregnancy, Nettles' ability to nourish and strengthen them is of major importance. Any accumulation of minerals in the kidneys, such as gravel and stones, is gently loosened, dissolved and eliminated by the consistent use of Nettle infusions.""

I've seen people do kidney cleansing, if you can find an Herbalist with a cleanse. I did one when I was having problems urinating, and it worked wonders. You can also do lemon and olive oil... to flush the kidneys."

Name of the Homeopath Doctor is Waqar Ahmad, he visits different cities in Pakistan and abroad as well. My mother is taking medicine from this guy and by the grace of Almighty she has been saved from dialysis.
