I altered my diet, stayed out of the sun, stopped drinking alcohol... all the things you are supposed to do. Also took lysine daily. I then went on medication. The meds helped the severity of the outbreaks, but still did not stop the bi monthly outbreak cycle. In desperation, I looked on the internet and saw Earth Clinic's suggestion for flower remedies as a potential cure. I was skeptical, but willing to try... I located the brand of flower remedy you recommended at a holistic pharmacy and started applying it (holly and walnut) in diluted form to the outbreak area. I also took it internally 4x a day. That was a few months ago and I have not had another outbreak! I still continue to take the remedy internally a few times a day. [YEA] 07/10/2008: Eduardo Gomez from Reese, MI writes: "Hey everybody! I learned of a very strange but very effective treatment for outbreaks at a Herpes Awareness Seminar in Illinois last year. It hasn't gotten much attention as it has only come to being in the last year or so. Anyway, all you have to do is soak a little bit of BBQ sauce on the area of the outbreak. The acids from the sauce seep into your skin and neutralize the problems. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and you will feel a slight 'tingle' effect. After that, clean the area off with water and then witch hazel. This really works and came as a huge relief to me! (Just one more thing, this only works when there is an outbreak present.) Glad to help!"

I had been managing it for years with just L-Lysine, 500 mg, but increased to 3,000 for the occasional outbreak. But it wasn't working any more. In desperation, I checked out your site for a new remedy and found the BHT. I simply take one 250 mg. capsule per day, every day, and it started to work immediately! FYI....This will be a little long because genital herpes has ruled my life for so long so I've got a lot to tell. First I'll tell you what didn't work, Bach flower therapy, I tried it for six months, no, Choraphor was good when the lesions are active but for me, I experience a lot of discomfort before the actual outbreak so I hated waiting for a lesion to weep before doing anything about it. Then the pain applying to the lesion was too much in addtion to the price. Red Marine Algae, no, spirulina, no Lysine rich diet, no..monolaurin and lysine supplements, I think they are good in reducing the severity of colds and flu but not reducing the severity of genital herpes. I haven't had sugar in about a year, I don't wear binding clothes, I stopped chewing gum with aspartame....Everything I've used or tried, didn't seem to work. I was still getting outbreaks bi-monthly. (I'm not sure why, it may have to do with hormonal changes, I always get one right before my period and now I'm catching on, when I'm ovulating). As you can see, has been a quest. The only thing I didn't try was BHT. I had heard horror stories about it. However, I was so frustrated I finally purchased it and was only on my second day of taking it AND getting over a very bad outbreak of three lesions, when I felt another one was on its way. The pain in my leg was so great I knew it was going to be a doozy too. I immediately took 700 mgs of BHT as soon as I got home that day and took 700 mgs more in the morning and the evening for 2 days straight. Once I felt the lesion raising up, I also applied it topically. I broke open about 6 capsules of it and melted it in olive oil. I used a cotton ball to swab it on down there. What I liked about it was that it wasn't painful like Choraphor. I applied it topically for 2 days as well. After day 2 into day 3, all I had was the tiniest bump which I swabbed again. This is the fourth day, and while I still feel 'remnants' of the pain there are no active lesions at all. I know this doesn't mean I'm not contagious but at least I'm not suffering from the pain and discomfort. I'm going to buy the powdered version so that I won't have use my capsules again. Meanwhile, I read up on BHT and found that St. John's Wort can be used in conjunction with it to make it more effective. Since I've had outbreaks twice a month for almost 20 years I need all the help I can get. For now this is the regimin: 350 mg of BHT, one a day St John's Wort, and two to three shots of apple cider vinegar a day. I'm also taking Stress B Complex, Vitamin C, Multi-Vitamin and Calcium. I still have lysine and monolaurin left but I don't know if I'll continue taking it since it didn't help too much before. I just may take the minimum required of both lysine and monolaurin because as I said before it seemed to reduce the severity of colds and flu. For outbreaks, I'll up the dosage to 700 mg of BHT twice daily, and swabbed the infected areas with it melted in olive oil. Thanks to the anonymous person that posted it here, it really worked this time around, I'll keep you all posted. Maybe I'll have even more good news in a few months."
03/29/2009: Elisha from Austin, Texas replies: "I have had herpes for several years and finally found an ointment that really helps with itching and heals lesions in a couple of days. It's call Lemon Balm for Wise Ways. I apply it with a q-tip to each lesion or with a cotton ball and the itching will automatically go away and stops the pain. I also use Olive Leaf Extract in capusle form and found this to work very well and L-lysine capsules as well. I am now going to try to use the APV directly and internally. "

[YEA] Anonymous from Philadelphia, PA writes: "BHT dissolved in olive oil is the greatest topical treatment I have ever tried. For every 5ml of oil use 5-350mg capsules or 1750mg of BHT powder. You must heat the oil but not hot enough to fry anything. Use a dropper to apply and do not contaminate the oil. Before I used peroxide and it would work but it turned my finger tips white and it left scars. There is absolutely no scarring using BHT and Olive oil and it even helps fade old HSV scars. I use it daily even when I'm not having an outbreak and so far so good. Hasn't been long enough to claim a reduction if outbreaks but the duration is like 2 days and you can't even tell you had an OB. AND it kills any pain from the ulcer. Try it."

Basically, the information said you can cure HSV (become antibody negative) using BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) for a year or two at a dose of @50 mg to 1,000 mg (I am going by memory - you'll need to do research yourself). There is a book called "Wipe Out Herpes With BHT" by John A. Mann and Steven Wm. Fowkes. copyright 1983. which is where this information is sourced from. [YEA] 11/13/2007: Michael from Des Moines, Iowa writes: "Bitter Melon for Herpes! I had started to have regular outbreaks of genital herpes and I scrambled everywhere for a cure. I found that Bitter Melon is used for Acyclovir resistent herpes so I figured if it works for Acyclovir resistent herpes it must work wonders for the regular herpes. I take it as directed and I have not had any outbreaks since then. When I first started taking it my outbreaks became less and less and less bothersome until I have had no outbreaks. I had an outbreak recently because I stoped taking the Bitter Melon but it was only for two days and I got right back on the Bitter melon and I'm all good now! I thank God for all His herbs He provided for us!!! I prefer the Solaray brand which is the most effective for me. It's hard to find in stores so you're better off buying it from Amazon.com which makes it a bit pricey but TRUST me it's worth it. 'I hope this will help many of you and God bless!"

Then I read this website further and I read the comment about Carmex. i use that all the time on my lips cause it's the best. i never thought about using it down there. I thought my breakouts were never going to go away. I had them consistently for two months. I have done carmex twice a day for a week now and my breakout is 90% gone. [YEA] 11/15/2006: Dave from Houston, TX writes: "Choraphor and Zinc Gluconate didn't cure, just reduced severity. I tried choraphor and it worked ok but did not work as well as the zinc. The zinc will actually penetrate the skin and kill the virus. It reduces the healing time and makes any other outbreaks very mild. I am continuing the treatment hoping to put years between outbreaks."

If anyone there is suffering from herpes virus, please try applying coconut oil on the affected area. Even if you don't have an outbreak you can still rub coconut oil on the affected areas twice daily to stop an outbreak. Coconut oils are easily available in any Indian shops. You can also make it at home. Take some milk from coconut and boil it under high temperature. Keep boiling until all the milk evaporaes. Squeeze the white substance that is left and you will get pure coconut oil. Please try, this oil treatment it really works. You don't have to spend so much money on antibiotics and it is harmless to your body. Goodluck and best wishes"

I change my diet and insert Coconut Oil in all my ailment. The nasty bleeding scabs, the weeping sores, the pain - and the horrible sensation on the thighs, like cats clawing at wet skin. (That's just my description.) I heard about coconut oil a year ago and decided to try it. I was guided to take it this way: A tablespoonful in a glass of clear warm water, mix it up, melt it, and drink it. I took it three times a day at regular intervals. I came off my medication, Ayclovir, and waited for the usual attack. (This was after a few months of taking the oil.) But nothing happened. In order to stimulate an attack, to force it, I ate my old 'enemies' - peanuts and bananas, in great quantities, both guaranteed to cause a herpes outbreak. But nothing happened. I have been clear of the genital herpes now for at least six months, perhaps more, and the only thing I want now is to have a blood test to be absolutely sure the infection has gone. Of course doctors will say that the virus is incurable, but something has happened here, something profound and unusual. I have an inner certainty that the virus has been battered about by the oil, to such an extent it has no power left. Of course, I may be wrong. But there is no sign of it."

MMS works very well to destroy bacteria, fungus, parasites, viruses etc. The issue with MMS is that it is fighting the fight against Herpes alone, hence the tingling sensations. MMS cannot to its best ability fully destroy the Herpes virus when it is protected by it lipid coat (Fat coating). Monolaurin (coconut oil) is a supplement that dissolves away and destroys the lipid coating on the Herpes Virus, leaving it naked and exposed to our immune system. Monolaurin is not a drug, therefore, the Herpes Virus does build immunity to it like it does with Valtrex. Many people who use Valtrex claim it stops working for them after 2 years. The reason for this is because the Herpes virus builds an immunity to it, making the virus stronger, smarter and harder to kill. I would not be surprised if the drug companies introduced a new & stronger drug that claims to be much stronger than Valtrex.
By using Monolaurin, which dissolves Herpes's lipid coating and also using MMS, which oxidizes and kills the virus along with a healthy diet you will be able to stop all future outbreaks. But please keep in mind that you must eat well and clean your system out. Nobody can claim that there is a cure for Herpes, but I believe the cure for herpes is right in front of us. If everyone in the U.S. with HSV donated $2 (for example) we would have enough money to hire our own researchers, doctors or even help a comapny focusing on this cure see their passion to the end."

The only results I got was not getting sick. Or if I did get sick I was over it within 24HRS. Then I ran into several articles that stated viruses can not live or can not thrive in a alkaline environment. It made since to me because bacteria and parasites thrive in acidic environments. So I order Coral Calcium and some PH test trips. Before taking the Coral Calcium I tested my Urine on daily biases and frequently and I found out that my body was slightly acidic all the time. So I started taking the Coral Calcium and I got into a Alkaline Diet. As the days went by I started to notice that every time I tested my PH level with the PH trips that my body started to become more and more alkaline. And as of today my body is 95% of the time Alkaline and I have been out break free for two weeks so far. Compared to having an out break just about every week. I also noticed that drinking excessive alcoholic beverages would bring down my PH level very quickly and would allow me to get an outbreak. 10/07/2008: Ray from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "Genital herpes Diet: I am aware that a healthy diet is important to prevent an outbreak of GH. Some readers swear to lay off peanuts, chocolate, oats, beer, wine, sugar, artificial sweetener etc. etc.
I wonder if a kind contributor could list out the type of food to avoid totally and also a recommended list to take to for GH sufferers.
Please pardon my ignorance. I am not sure whether the food I take is doing me any good. I take milk( pastuerised good milk) yoghurt, multigrain & wholewheat bread, hard cheese (Edam & Gouda). I also like brown rice, pasta, chicken,pork, salmon, ham, fresh salad. For fruits, I love banana. I heard it is a no no. Others include quava, grapefruit, kiwifruit, papaya, pineapple. I hope someone can point out which food/fruits I am taking is not suitable for me.
My GH regimen includes LLysine, BHT, Olive extract, Zinc, magnesium.

For herpes, I was clued into l-lysine some years ago, and it is great. Foods high in L-lysine are listed on the internet, and also foods high in arginine, which is in chocolate, nuts, popcorn, brown rice and other foods. Arginine is used in labs to GROW the Herpes virus, so those chocolate and nut snacks can give you an attack! I have purchased l-lysine over the internet and also at some grocers and health food stores, and just keep it handy. Often when I want to eat some chocolate, I pop some l-lysine soon after and no problem. It is a harmless amino acid and resets the balance in your system.
Candex is very good for Candida but so expensive, I am happily taking the H2O2 and wanted to check increasing the dosage from 8 drops in an 8 oz glass of water 3X a day and here is all this information for me! My Mother and Grandmother died young of breast cancer and I began researching things that cure cancer as I realize the AMA is not chock full of 100% doctors, and found ESSIAC. The herbs can be purchased pre-measured from the Herb Products Company in Hollywood. I am 62, teach yoga and breathing techniques, doing them myself daily and am very healthy!
