LIME

[YEA] 03/21/2010: Lora from Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands writes: "Hi, first post here, love the site.
Against body odor i use lime under my armpits. Works like a charm and is oh so cheap. i keep half of a lime in a small container in the bathroom and use it maybe three days and than use the other half that i have refrigirated.
My job involves some heavy work and also with workouts nd i would sweat so much, that i couldnt get it out of my clothes, but then i remembered this old, simple remedy and i am sticking to it. It worked for me on the very first day. But some people need to use it for a week, but it is amazing
Maybe lemons will do the trick to, but this is the way that it has been done in my country for ages.
Hope it helps."
12/08/2011: Naturallyodorfree from The Triangle, North Carolina Usa replies: "Lemon Water Spray DeodorantLakewood organic lemon juice from Whole Foods. There are no chemicals, preservatives, or additives. There may be a little pulp at the bottom of the bottle. In an 8-ounce misting spray bottle, fill 3/4 of the bottle with lemon juice and 1/4 of the bottle with tap water. Don't get any of the pulp into the spray bottle; it could clog the spray tube. Shake well and apply 5 pumps* to each clean underarm. I fan my arms for a few seconds before getting dressed, but you don't have to. The citric acid in the lemon juice prevents bacteria and odor from ever forming under your arms. You still perspire, which is good and healthy. The spray has lasted well into the next day for me. The best thing is that I am not allergic to it: no skin tenderness, no itching, no rash.
I had been using baking soda in every possible recipe and ratio as an excellent deodorant, BUT, it created the worst itchy skin rash that left my armpits tender and darkly discolored. Even though it was effective, the discomfort under my arms wasn't worth the continued use.
So after researching other natural deodorants, I discovered that people used sliced lemon as an effective deodorant. I thought rubbing actual fruit would be cumbersome and costly, so I decided to try lemon juice to make a spray. It's truly natural and organic compared to baking soda and it works! Plus, within the first week of me using the lemon water deodorant, the lemon significantly lightened the darkness under my arms that the baking soda caused. My 9-year-old was using a less synthetic deodorant (Lafe's) that contains mineral salts (I wasn't totally crazy about that, even though many people think it's natural), but is now using lemon water spray too, and has had no odor, no sensitivity, and is quite happy with it.
I hope someone here can benefit from it as well. Just remember to use organic lemon juice, NOT the stuff in the plastic lemon-shaped bottle with chemicals in it. Keep the opened lemon juice bottle in the refrigerator until you are ready to refill your deodorant spray bottle.
* 5 pumps may seem like a lot, but it's really not for a sprayer that mists fine droplets. The mist will distribute over your underarm skin more evenly. A sprayer that produces larger droplets won't get good coverage and will have the liquid running down your sides and make the application of the deodorant messy. Good luck and enjoy!"

LIQUID CHLOROPHYLL

[YEA] 02/09/2007: Sandhya from Makawao, HI writes: "LIQUID CHLOROPHYLL has helped me drink more water, stop body odor and stop a rash on my bottom. One or two teaspoons a day in drinking water sipping on it or drinking it all at once does wonders. If I stop I notice the difference in a couple of days. NOW brand with mint is good. Once I asked a doctor what to do about the rash as I had never had one. She said she had a rash too and did not know...it came with living in the tropics. I understood Ted from Bangkok saying that the body's ability to oxygenate itself was suppressed and this was a cause. Living in Hawaii I sweat more than other colder places I have lived and bacteria grows easily here on the skin. Also I do not have a spleen which makes my blood not as clean if I do not take something to clean it or oxygenate it. I tend to be acidic by nature and the foods I eat lean in that direction even though most would say I am health food person. I am going to try molybdenum that Ted speaks of so highly."

LIQUID KELP MINERAL WATER

[YEA] 04/10/2007: Teri from Elkhart, IN writes: "re: PH (remedy), Iodine (remedy), Hirsutism (ailment)... I'm a woman, and for years I suffered from strong body odor. It was diagnosed as hormonal (too much testosterone) because I also have mild-moderate hirsutism hair growth, and I was put on oral contraceptives to remedy this problem. It helped some, but I didn't want to stay on medications forever as they had many side effects.
Based on what I learned from this site, I used PH strips and found that my body was VERY ALKALINE! That strong body odor was an amonia-like smell that my body was producing because of a vitamin or mineral deficiency.
I was having other symptoms that related to exhausted adrenal glands, and found that iodine sometimes helps this. I started taking liquid kelp drops and in a few days my PH was in the normal range, and the body odor was gone. Completely gone! I'm going try Lugol's next because I can't get my body temperature all the way up to normal and my skin is still sucking up the iodine quickly when I paint.
I am still trying to figure out how to handle the hair growth (chin, abdomen), and I am experimenting with mega doses of folic acid (and B12), as I hear that this has helped others. Licorice root, Omega 3s, ridding my body of metals, saw palmetto, etc. didn't help. I also now only drink mineral water. If you have any ideas, I'd love to know of them. I love this site. Thanks."

[YEA] 02/08/2010: Amber from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada writes: "Milk of magnesium works better than deodorant! Just rub it in under your arms, let it dry and away you go. I have used it for a week now and will continue to do so. Even if you work out hard (you'll still sweat) but you wont stink!"
Replies[YEA] 08/30/2011: Annrae from Manassas, Virginia replies: "This is a miracle! I still sweat from my hyperhidrosis, but the smell is gone!! Even my feet no longer smell! Milk of Magnesium has saved me so much embarassment I can't believe it. As an added bonus, the skin under my arms is no longer irritated and bumpy-it is smooth just like any other part of my body. Try it-it is the ONLY thing that has worked for me!"

09/30/2011: Vidiz from Manila, Philippines replies: "I recently had a bad experience at my workplace awhile back and these guys kept talking in a non-discreet disrespectful way (maybe because they didn't have the guts to tell me I stank). Had a few close friends whom I kept asking if I did smell... Even asked my ex bf if I did and he said I never did. But these 3 guys talked about it and how they made rude and loud remarks, rubbing in my face that I smelled like onions or rotting squid or some degrading adjecive that they could think of... It really made me depressed and think if I really had body odor. I used antiperspirant/deodorant, the same one for 13 yrs... Then one day it stopped working. If I dont use it, I smell kinda musty in the armpit area. In the Philippines, it's mostly 95 F and up ALL YEAR ROUND and people here are so self-conscious about smelling, especially for women like me. I just want to get rid of the stink. I just hope MoM will work for me.I already tried antiperspirant, didn't last because my underarm sweats a lot (like a lot).
Tried tawas crystals or potassium alloy crystals (powdered and the crystal), worked for awhile but I started stinking again after 2 weeks... Don't know why... Maybe the potency of the crystals?
Tried a local lime (Calamansi juice), put the juice in the underarms but I think when I sweat it worsens... The freshness just smells like vinegar almost hahaha
Latest experiment is to try tea tree oil after showering then putting on MoM... will it be more effective if I use baking soda after I let the MoM dry out?
Please help me regarding this matter.
Thanks for the posts everyone. :)"
09/30/2011: Liv from Boston, Ma replies: "Hi, I am sorry to hear about your experience, I have had the same problem and I wonder if it is related to taking vitamins/supplements and the detoxing process, anyway, what has worked for me is to apply zinc oxide paste (very inexpensive and found at most pharmacies) after I shower at night. Then I shower again in the morning and don't apply anything (no zinc oxide, no deodorant, etc. ). I also always make sure that my shirts are worn only once before I wash them since bacteria can stay in them and then, well things get ugly. I don't apply zinc oxide in the morning since I am afraid it may stain my shirt, I hope this helps, good luck!"
09/30/2011: Curious from Kingston, Ny, Usa replies: "After showering and scrubbing armpits with soap, apply lemon juice to armpits. Do this right out of the shower after drying off. This seems to stop the odor. I am one who will be stinky if I don't use deodorant even a few hours after a shower, but this works.Of course you could just try a different deodorant, some just don't work for some people, even if it has in the past.
Hope this helps."
09/30/2011: Maria from Gippsland, Australia replies: "Hi Vidiz, My husband had very bad problem with his body odor so after reading some posts here we stopped using soap in the shower. Soap is now only used to remove excess dirt or grease. Lemon (lime to expensive here) is applied under the armpits and nothing else and this works. At the beginning we would also apply the lemon a few mins before showering as well as it takes a few days of this before the smell becomes normal smell. The only soap we now use is an ayurvedic neem and lavender one with no glycerin and on rare occasions it is used as a shampoo. We also don't use any shampoos (not even the natural ones) and use borax water. Oh and also for the first week he still used the crystal deodorant but not now. To be honest we were surprised at how well this worked. We have now been doing this for about a year. A relative who would occasionally complain about my husbands odor, suggesting he needed to use deodorant (which he was already wearing) now does not complain. We also had bad candida and now it is nowhere near as bad, so it may be worth doing the spit test to see if it is a problem for you as it can also contribute to odor problems. All the best."
10/01/2011: Johan from Slidre, Norway replies: "Suggestions for body odor- Vidiz you should try magnesium oil. It helps for me."
10/01/2011: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Lemon worked very well for me as well and after a while I didn't need to use it as often! But the best thing was Chlorophyl tablets or else Spirulina, Chlorella and Chlorophyl powder. After taking this for a while I never smelled again! Before, even if I took a bath every day I mostly ended the day with bad odor!"
10/03/2011: Debbie from Sterlington, Usa replies: "Try mixing cornstarch with baking soda and rubbing it under your arms. A nurse told me about this. It works!"
10/03/2011: Jessica from Chicago, Il replies: "If you are having bad odors, you will need to do a really good detox. If your just talking of an alternative for deoderant, this is what I make for my boyfriend: I buy the liquid crystal salt deodorant spray and add 30 drops per 1oz to it of each of the following: patchoulli & cedarwood & sometimes frankinscence. For a female, I use 30 drops patchoulli, 30 drops cedarwood, and 30 drops of jasmine. Both of us get commented on it daily asking where to buy the cologne & perfume! LOL"
10/04/2011: Dug from Virginia Beach, Va replies: "To Jessica from Chicago: what kind of liquid crystal deo. spray do you use to mix Patchouli Cedar wood oils? Thai Crystal Spray pump?"
12/19/2011: Cientxa from Indianapolis, Indiana/usa replies: "I have ordered something that is being advertised on the internet that is a stainless steel bar-shaped (like soap). I have had the same problem since teens with excessive sweating and mustiness.I cannot tell you how shocked and surprised I was that this steel "thing" actually stopped odor but in my case my skin became dry and squeaky clean feeling all day! I have been thanking the research and development gods for this discovery. I can't imagine using anything else for body odor ever again."
01/19/2012: Kelly from Salt Lake City, Utah replies: "Hello, I have had the same struggle all of my life and I never thought about doing something different than deoderant until now. I am 33 years old now. I started using natural deoderants when I was 12 but they never really solved the problem so I would use the chemical deoderants and then natural deoderants bouncing back and forth.I recently started using the crystal deoderant. I noticed that you have to get your underarms perfectly clean in order for it to work. If you wash with soap and (while still in the shower) smell your pits, and have any kind of odor; the crystal will not work.
I tried a mixture of Baking soda and water mixture. 1 TBSP baking soda to 8oz water and used an old shampoo bottle. Make sure you shake before you use. Since Baking soda is alkaline I used a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water to bring the skin PH balance back to 5 to 7 ideally. Use 1 TBSP (ACV) to 8 oz water and use in a spritzer.
According to Home remedies web (ACV) is an effective natural bacteria-fighting agent that contains many vital minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, chlorine, sodium, sulfur, copper, iron, silicon and fluorine that are vital for a healthy body.
Once I used this combo; soaping up, rinse. Use the baking soda water, rinse. Then follow up with the ACV and rinse. I was able to get clean pits and then the crystal worked, as long as the crystal has been rinsed, make sure the crystal does not have an odor before you use it.
Now that I have cleaned the problem under my arms I am finding that my clothes are not not getting fully clean when laundered. When I wear a shirt that is not fully clean, all of the above work on getting clean pits is now destroyed. I decided to buy new shirts and start new and now the problem is totally gone.
Hope this helps,
Kelly"

[YEA] 08/28/2009: Marixpress from Bronx, Ny, USA writes: "I have struggled with underarm odor since puberty and all of my adult life. My problem was so bad that nothing over the counter or prescribed helped me. At the end of the day, I still smelled like an onion processing plant.
I read on a site that milk of magnesia helps so I went out and bought the generic store brand. After a shower, I applied some to a cotton ball and coated my armpit with a thin layer then held my arms over my head until it dried. It did not stop the sweating but the odor was completely gone.
My daily routine now is: shower, douse armpit in alcohol to kill bacteria, after alcohol has dried, shake bottle of liquid milk of magnesia and apply thin coating to armpit simply with my fingers. Instead of blowing on them to dry or waiting around, I use the cool temperature setting on my hair dryer. The whole process takes a couple of minutes. It lasts all day and sometimes even into the next day. Apply daily.
One thing I notice from time to time is the occasional swollen gland under the skin surface. When that happens, I just skip the next day and it goes away on its own. MOM is a miracle."
07/29/2010: Carly from Seattle, Wa Usa replies: "I tried it, and it WORKS! For the past three days I have been outside in high temps doing physical labor and I have had ZERO smell! I keep checking, and am amazed at my lack of B. O. - At first I thought it might be residual effect from the antiperspirant I was using (so effective you can even skip a day was their old ad campaign) - But no, after the second day I should have stunk, and I didn't! I also love that MOM is not chock full of chemicals like the stuff I was using. Anything that gets chemicals out of my life is a good thing. :-) Thanks for posting on this Cat - much appreciation! [YEA] 06/15/2009: Michelle from Chattanooga, Tenn writes: "Milk of Magnesia is the absolute BEST remedy I have used so far for underarm body odor!!! I am becoming an expert in this area having already tried many of the remedies on Earth Clinic the past 6 months: baking soda (caused angry rash), apple cider vinegar (good, but not great), zinc oxide (great but didn't like the petroleum ingredients) and hydrogen peroxide (okay in cool weather, not great in hot weather).
I bought a large bottle of Milk Magnesia at the grocery store and a makeup sponge so I could rinse and reuse it every day. After I shower, I promptly go and shake up the bottle (make sure the lid is on tight otherwise heh heh a white surprise) and then I apply a very generous portion of MM to my cosmetic sponge and apply it to my pits. You can use it right after shaving, no problem... doesn't stain clothes. This one application lasts all day!
Okay, here are the secrets to this remedy. Make sure you use a generous application of the MM, it's far more effective. Make sure to apply it high and low on your armpit, not just in the middle. Better to buy a big bottle because a small one goes quickly. The cosmetic sponge will last longer if you rinse it out with water after use. Otherwise it hardens from the milk of magnesia. Am sure a sea sponge will work just as well.
Try it, you will like it!!"
Replies06/20/2009: Ruth from Hong Kong replies: "am from hong kong, am wondering which part of the grocery section to buy milk of magnesia, i don't seem to find out here in Hong kong. can I ask buy it from the drug stores?
i hv tried using the baking soda and it worked!, but the trick is you have to add little water must to dissolve then apply the paste to ur armpit. it dries quickly & wl save u becoming smelly all day. just need to use new clothes everytime. I even asked my daughter to try it, presto, it worked! just learned this from EC. thanks!, but I still want to try the MM. Thanks, am addicted to checking EC everytime, trying to find some cures for other illnesses I could recommend to my friends! Cheers, EC."

[YEA] 04/28/2011: Ts from Orlando, Florida replies: "I have tried several different formulas over the years, suffering from underarm odor since a teen. Clinical deodorants, natural deodorants, salt crystal, tea-tree oil, witch hazel, and NOTHING has worked as well as MOM has. I have only been using it for a week now, but I hope it lasts for me as long as some users have reported. Before, I did not have profuse sweating, but immediately after showering I could notice an odor. Alternatives to aluminum-based deodorants would work for a couple of days, but this is actually going over a week now on MOM and I'm super happy about it.I find using a small spray bottle works best for application, I purchased mine in the travel/trial-size product area of the local pharmacy. I spray one spray under each arm before bed and after showering, and allow to dry before dressing, and have no trouble with odor now AT ALL. I still sweat mildly, but it's natural for our bodies to eliminate sweat, so I'm not worried about that. It was just the BO and now it's GONE! I highly recommend this to anyone, it's a cheap and effective solution."
04/29/2011: Erin from Seattle, Wa replies: "I have been using a mixture of extra virgin coconut oil and baking soda for months now and rarely have underarm odor, even while playing soccer! Try that too as backup. Hint, small amounts of baking soda, just enough to make the coconut oil slightly grainy, or you might end up with chaffing!"

[YEA] 05/03/2009: Karen from Rochester, NY writes: "I use undiluted milk of magnesia with essential oils in place of regular deodorant. I use a few drops of pure lavender oil in a full bottle of MoM, but you can choose whatever scent you like. It is a little messy to apply (I tried using cotton balls) so I put it in a spritz bottle, which gets clogged up quickly, so I went back to using the cotton balls.
I haven't experienced any side effects, and being in a very active job, I have found that one application in the morning is enough for the day and works great. I've been doing this for almost two years.
Tips:
1. Check the labels before you buy - some have other ingredients you wouldn't want like stabilizers, and artificial sweeteners. There is almost always a generic equivalent that is just pure MoM on the shelf next to the other brands.
2. When selecting essential oils - these must also be pure, otherwise you could cause irritations. Since you are using this on a daily basis, stick with the gentle oils like pure lavender. Research your oil choice carefully. For example, citrus based oils, while very uplifting, can cause a person to be hyper sun-sensitive. You could possibly use tea tree essential oil if there is an active infection/overgrowth in the body that would benefit from daily application. In any case, the essential oil should be a high grade oil.
3. Since it is wet when applied, give yourself time before you put a shirt on, especially a dark colored one! It dries quickly, but if you get it on your clothes, you'll see a whitish powdery stain (which washes right out)."
[YEA] 08/29/2009: Marixpress from Bronx, Ny replies: "Just use a hair dryer on cool setting and they'll be dry in a quarter of the time :)p.s. I will NEVER use anything else on my armpits after MOM! It's a dream come true!"

MULTIPLE REMEDIES

[YEA] 01/08/2011: Brenda from Springfield, Il writes: "For my stinky pits, I now have a concoction that works wonderfully. After showering, I first rub virgin coconut oil on my armpits. Then I wet a finger with water and dip my wet finger into mixture of a little Borax and baking soda, and rub that on. Then I end with a squirt of vodka. (I mix in a spray bottle vodka and a few drops of sandalwood essential oil. ) When I just used baking soda, my pits became irritated and dry. I believe I had a yeast problem, thus the Borax; and the VCO for the dryness. No more body odor for me!"
Replies[YEA] 09/08/2011: Jennifer from Sunrise, Fl, Usa replies: "Body Odor:Ever since I was 13, no deodorant completely worked for me. I made the mistake of trying every chemical-laden deodorant on the market. I didn't realize, until I weaned myself off of commercial deodorants, that it is the DEODORANTS that are the problem!! I switched to rock type deodorants (there are several different brands, you can buy the kind with the rock or spray-on liquid) about 4 years ago and I will never go back to any other kind of deodorant ever again. In fact, when I do put on regular deodorants now, my body completely rejects them and I break out in horrific, very painful rashes. A few tips for effective use:
1) You need to give your body time to "detox" after using regular deodorants before the natural crystal rock kinds work for you. About 1 or 2 weeks is usually sufficient before you notice a real change.
2) Follow the directions carefully or the deodorant won't work! Apply IMMEDIATELY after getting out of the shower. For a rock deodorant, wet the rock under running water and apply about 20-30 strokes per armpit (yes, really, that many). For a spray deodorant, apply 4 or 5 sprays under each arm.
3) If the natural deodorant doesn't work for you on its own, you can also apply baking soda to the armpit area. Be forewarned though, baking soda can be a little harsh and can leave you with raw skin if used everyday.
- If you are experiencing a lot of body odor, also try the following things which addresses the issue from the inside out: oil pulling, taking coconut oil internally, taking ACV internally, eating an all-natural diet, eliminating toxins from your household, and using all-natural dioxin-free tampons.
Female Body Odor:
To prevent this, wash gently with a 100% natural glycerine soap everyday, which can be purchased very inexpensively for approximately $1 at most grocery or health stores. Don't use regular soap or body washes that are not formulated for use in this area - this is a very gentle region and a body wash that doesn't have a very neutral pH will sting and irritate the area. The more chemicals you can keep out of this area the better (latex condoms, tampons that have dioxide, douches). If you are still experiencing odor after keeping good hygeine, see a doctor, because it might be the sign of an infection.
Foot Odor:
Rock deodorants can be used for this same purpose - and it works! See the instructions above for application. I prefer the spray-on for ease of application.
Mouth Odor:
Good oral hygeine is key. Brushing after every meal and regular flossing are obvious solutions, but if this doesn't work on its own, see the EC posts for oil pulling, oil of oregano, hydrogen peroxide and sea salt rinses."
09/09/2011: Rob from South America replies: "Great post!I have been using baking soda for over 5 years and nothing else. It's the only thing that works for me and it works perfectly, I could even go a few days without a shower if I had to (and I live in hot South America). I'm sure the rock deodorant kind works also but I have never been able to find it (plus soda is CHEAP and works, so why not).
I don't find that baking soda irritates the skin. What I do is after showering I put a little soda on the palm of one hand, and with the other drop some water so the mix is in watery form. I mix with both hand and then *gently* apply on both pits and let air dry. If you rub it too hard you will irritate the skin and it will burn. I suppose the same happens if you do it after shaving.
Milk of magnesia equally works but it's more expansive and it leaves a "gooey"/stick feeling."

Replies01/02/2010: David from Tokyo, Japan replies: "Does anyone think that shampoos and soaps actually cause BO? I've been shampoo and soap--free (thanks to borax) for about a year. I change clothes daily, but I often think I don't need to--even socks. Could shampoo and soap be stimulating the body to produce oils to replace oils removed and/or to remove toxins? I'm starting to think so, but does anyone have any thoughts?"

OVER THE COUNTER
09/01/2011: Underarm from Toronto, On Can writes: "Choose a deodorant that doesn't stain.
A good deodorant is one without leaving residues and odours behind. I've been using UARMSOL deodorant for many years now, even when I sweat, I have no more underarm or armpit odours. I applied 1 pinch and it's all to it for the whole day without worries about any smell afterwards. There's no chemicals, oil or fragrances added. No staining clothes too. There's no after sport smell or odour masking. And the best thing is I don't have to shave!"

OZONATED OLIVE OIL

[YEA] 09/20/2007: Steve from Phoenix, USA writes: "I have become a huge fan of Ozonated Olive Oil. First off it's definitely the best all natural underarm deodorant I've ever used. Only have to use it every other day. It works for insect bites, speeds wound healing, burns, etc. But I've found it really helps reduce wrinkles if used consistently over a couple week period. I suppose the oxygen is being absorbed into the skin and rejuvenating the tissue. I'm going to keep experimenting with this and see how far I can turn back the clock. It's not even that expensive. I bought a 1 oz jar online for only $5.99 and it usually lasts our family of four about three months. Great stuff!"

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 06/23/2008: Mariah from Lanham, U.S.A. writes: "I had tried several brands of natural deodorant and none of them worked. With any small amount of strenuous movement they immediately wore off (not a fun experience when you are around people). I tried the hydrogen peroxide & baking soda which did work, but it was a little messy applying the baking soda. Currently I'm using Thai Cyrstal deodorant which seems to be doing the job and it's much easier to apply then the HP & BS. I haven't done a full sweat filled workout to see how well the it holds up, but there have been a few hot, sticky days when I was out moving around quite a bit and so far, so good."

POWDER WITH CORNSTARCH

[YEA] 02/21/2011: Jeffrey from Pawtucket, Ri writes: "Several years ago I switched to natural deodorants from aluminum based anti-perspirants/deodorants due to health concerns and skin irritaton. Eventually even the natural ones began to irritate my skin, so I tried powder with aloe and cornstarch. It works amazingly well for days when I don't do much sweating, like a typical workday sitting behind a desk. Usually one application in the morning is all that's needed. I'm thinking of keeping some at work, so on warmer days or on days that I go for a walk or bike commute, I can do a quick wash of my underarms in the restroom and re-apply. My underarms feel so much better! Healing after a long time of being irritated and raw. "

08/30/2011: Aikatsu from Brunei writes: "ive been using baking soda as deo but then I just realised it doesnt help but I think the odor is not from underarm, or is it me that didnt smell it? why is that? and I used lime too after shower or before shower.. Should I use milk of magnesia? what do u think.. Its really bugging me.. I am still a high school student in a hot weather climate country, my sch session ends at 4 pm.. which worsen the situation."
Replies08/31/2011: Jitzky from Dallas, Tx replies: "Baking soda as a deodorant can make your underarm dark and sometimes irritated, leaving more bacteria which causes more body odor. What best works for me is to scrub with a loofah or a wash cloth morning and night. Then dry off completely with a towel and spray with 3% hydrogen peroxide as your deodorant. You can purchase the 3% hydrogen peroxide in a dark spray bottle at Walmart, or maybe CVS or Walgreens, and it's very cheap. Purchase another tiny spray bottle and transfer some peroxide in it to carry along with you during the day. Spray your underarm everytime you go on a restroom break or as often as needed. I've been doing this for a long time. My armpits stay clean all the time that I could now go for more than a day without spraying and there's still no smell. Give it a try! Hope this helps!Benefits: It kills germs and bacteria, it helps whiten your armpit over time, no harmful ingredients, and it eliminates odor."
08/31/2011: Nina from Malma, Sweden replies: "Hi there! I would try and take a grren drink like chlorella , green barely , or spirulina. These all come in powder form and you can buy them in health food stores or online. They are great for cleaning the body. Do a google search on chlorella and I think you will find some information about body oder. I would also with out a doubt start taking acidophulus pro probiotics or drinking fermented yogurt as this problem could be cuased by a slight imbalance in your stomache. Before taking probiotics.Best of luck!"
