02/22/2009: Cheryl from Manteca, California-USA writes: "Hi-Please do yourself a big favor if you are bothered by what the dr calls-athlete's foot type rash. For over a year I tried every cream, spray, powder on the market-doctor after dermatologist with biopsy gave me everything-presription including 2 mos of Lamisil pills and cream. The dermatologist got mad when Lamisil didn't work after her biopsy. Well, I prayed so hard and then found Oil of Oregano-wow! 3 days cured-its been months and its still gone. I diluted with olive oil under my tongue and later used the gel capsules to fill and take orally. I diluted this very strong oil with olive oil on the rash itself-stops that horrible itch, too. I later learned Extra Virgin Coconut oil is anti-fungal and mixed the oregano oil with this and used this on the skin. I need to know more-Iam very grateful to Earth Clinic-I learned about the evcc-extra virgin coconut oil from this site. Also, I really never knew what the rash was from-I think it was a Candida fungus type rash -it seemed way worse when I ate sugar. So, I also had to clean up my diet dramatically and I still stay away from processed white flour and sugar etc. But, try Oil of Oregano-anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti parasitic/worms. Great for wiping Candida out. Blessings and good health to you all. I would say-research all you can about all of these oils: Thuja, Thieves oil etc as to there healing qualities."

[YEA] 01/07/2009: Circle from Harrisburg, PA writes: "Years ago I used to have athletes foot, but I noticed that eating popcorn cured my athletes foot. The plain popcorn after its popped and the itching and redness went away!
If you have athletes foot, try it and let me know if it works for you, because I know it did for me and does every time. It may take a day or two (or shorter) but it certainly worked, at least for me anyway.
Also changing socks frequently, and not walking in your socks and then putting your shoes over them because it brings bacteria from the floor/carpet into your shoes. So its good to always make sure you have a clean pair of socks to put on before putting on your shoes and also make sure the inside of your shoes stay clean."

1 QUESTION
[QUESTION] 05/16/2009: Cyro from New York, NY writes: "I have been reading and trying remedies from this site for the past year .... it's always the first place I go when I am in search of a cure for myself, family or friends. I'm currently in the process of assessing a sudden decline in health upon returning from many months in India. Although I tested negative for parasites, I'm fairly certain this is at least part of the issue. Also candida, and perhaps a gluten-intolerance as well.
But I am writing about my feet. My last day in India I got a pedicure in Delhi as my feet had been through so much over the months and needed a good cleaning. My feet were so callused and dirty that I let them scrap off the skin on the bottom of my feet (something I don't ever do). At the time it felt good and I had no reaction. NOW I realize it's as if the padding on the soles of my feet never grew back!!!
In addition I believe I have athletes foot, which I have found remedies to try. But my question is, it has been one month now, what can I use to restore the skin on the soles of my feet?????
Thanks so much for your help, i appreciate your experience and input."
EC: We weren't sure which page to post this question and decided (for now) to put it on the Athlete's Foot remedy page.

[YEA] 11/05/2008: Jay from Altona, Fl writes: "Salt water cured Athletes Foot and Foot Odor
I keep a spray bottle in the bathroom filled with a mixture of salt and water. After showering I spray my feet with the saltwater and leave it on all day. By that I mean that I do not wash it off at all. This cured a case of athletes foot that was resistant to all OTC drugs I tried. I also spray the saltwater into my tennis shoes and that kills the fungus that is in the shoe. The saltwater also eliminates foot odor. I use about 1/2 (one half) cup of salt in the bottle."

[YEA] 11/02/2009: Moises from New York, Ny Usa writes: "Athlete's Foot: I mixed one part tea tree oil with 4 parts olive oil. Twice daily I washed me feet with soap and water. Then I dried them. Then I used an eyedropper to apply the tea tree oil dilution between the toes.
My athlete's foot cleared up in less than a week. This was after using Lamisil ointment for more than 3 weeks.
The first time I used Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride 1%), years ago, it also worked in a few days. Each successive time, it required more days to eliminate the athlete's foot. I have only tried tea tree oil one time. So, I do not know yet if its effectiveness diminishes with repeated use, the way Lamisil does."

I found out that all the messy creams help for short term, but it comes back. My mom heard about tea tree oil, which dries out your skin, and it cleared it up within a week. every once in a while i use it even when i don't have athletes foot just to make sure i don't get it again. it also clears up pimples you dilute about 1 drop with 2 of water, you have to dilute it if you use it on your face and a little bit really goes a long way."

Ailment - Athletes Foot
My husband had athletes foot for months and was desperate for a cure. He tried all over the counter applications with nothing working. Next he tried apple cider vinegar internally and externally which helped for the first few applications but then it came back in full force. He then tried a qtip soaked in silver and put on his badly cracked red skin. He has been applying for a week now and the crack is gone and the itching soreness of athletes foot is gone!"
EC: Topical silver treatments and silver dressings are typically used for contaminated or infected wounds.

[YEA] 06/09/2009: Kin from Auckland, New Zealand writes: "Urine for Athlete's Foot
Saw quite a few latest Posts regarding Athlete's Foot, so decided to post my experience. Urine works well for Athlete's Foot. I have Athlete's Foot for about a year, tried AVC, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Grapefruit seed oil, they all work to certain degree but Urine is the best cure. Iodine works well too but urine is the most effective.
I soaked my feet in my own urine daily for about 15 minutes in a leak proof plastic bag; let my feet dried off before I had my shower. I saw improvement within days and after about a week or two, it was almost 100% cured. It's free and easily available. Pee on your feet method did not work that well for me. Wonder if urine can be used externally for face and hair?"
06/09/2009: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Kin, the answer is yes it can be. Urine can be used external on the face and hands, also can be taken internally. For more details on this go find yourself a copy of a book titled "Your Own Perfect Medicine", which is written on urine therapy. Very interesting reading. Seems it is effective against lots of things."

[YEA] 03/04/2009: Scott from Anaheim, CA writes: "I tried everything OTC and nothing worked well. Literally everything. I am even put VICs on my feet before sleeping for 1 month. It cleared up the nails, but it came back really quickly after stopping. The nails started to get dark again. I did vinegar soaks and that didn't help either.
Finally, I decided to PEE on my feet twice a day (morning pee and night). I remembered a few years back, I had this bad headache that wouldn't go away and I ended up drinking my own morning urine for a week after trying everything else. It fixed that headache. Its really amazing, but it cleared up my feet in a matter of days, not months or 1 year. Don't believe those that say it doesn't work. Urine has thousands of nutrients, many of which can't be detected with our equipment. It literally cleared it up in 1 week. I also resorted to spitting on my feet and rubbing in the SALIVA letting dry. Remember dogs and cats always licking their paws? Its Saliva they are spreading and used to clean their paws."
03/05/2009: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Hello Scott, Thought you might like to know that there is another theory of what is actually happening when an animal licks its wounds. Allegedly, licking the wound sends any pathogens present to the digestive tract where the immune system kicks in and starts producing antibodies against these pathogens to kill them off and bring about healing.
However I suspect that the saliva probably starts softening up the pathogens for the kill."

What you want to do is pee in a paper cup and then poor this over your althetes foot. Let it set for a few minutes then wash off. I used to do this in the morning and evening. It cleared up in about a week."

[YEA] 05/08/2008: Steve from Plano, TX writes: "Urinating on Foot cures athletes foot. I know this sounds foul but it works and is free. I learned this in the Army since athletes foot is pretty common. Your first morning's urine is best because it will have the highest concentration of enzymes. So when taking a shower in the morning, try this procedure and you should see the fungus die off pretty quickly."
[YEA] 07/25/2008: Jonny J from Woodland Park, Colorado replies: "YES! I also have been using urine for athletes foot and have ALWAYS had complete success. Just Like the post says, Just pee on your feet in the shower and it'll kill it dead. Don't be grossed out either. First of all you ARE in the shower. Secondly, If you read up on urine its not as bad as you may think. its even used (fresh) on the face in some cases. (I personally will use soap for that one though!)"

He will shake his head, and I just put an apple cider and water solution on a cotton ball, and clean out his ears, and in ten minutes he stops fussing and lays down and finally can rest. My husband takes white vinegar and soaks his feet in it, and no more athelets foot! It is wonderful for killing any kind of fungus or bacterial infections. Thanks so much for the advice!"

Sit down with feet in container, pour enough vinegar to cover feet, add sea salt, marinate for 5 min. the add water, sit for ten min., last 5 min brush feet with soft bristle brush while in water. Take out, dry, repeat for 2 to 3 days. Worked great for me and was also an excellent stress reliever."

WHITE VINEGAR, SALT, GINGER SOAK
[YEA] 04/17/2009: Jason from Newport, Washington writes: "I recently had quite a case of athletes foot, that was spreading from my toes, to other parts of my foot, it was quite uncomfortable, and amazingly itchy to say the least.
I started doing research in to what might naturally treat it and came across a few options, here's what I did and it worked in less that 4 days.
Create a foot bath with 40 percent white vinegar, 60 percent hot water, then add around a table spoon of salt and a tea spoon of ginger powder. Soak your foot for 15 minutes or so giving it a break every so often. (you can use the same batch through out the day to save ingredients) Soak your foot a few times a day for a few days and your athletes foot will completely clear up, it is quite the amazing cure.
Thats it, I know this will work as well for you as it did for me! :)"
