Top Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules

Apple cider vinegar in liquid form has been used for centuries for a wide variety of health conditions, from acne and acid reflux to gout and weight loss. Diabetics have found it helpful in regulating blood sugar, and heart patients have found that it lowers blood pressure. But can apple cider vinegar capsules be used instead?

Some of the benefits of apple cider vinegar capsules are quite obvious, such as convenience, portability, and not having to deal with the acidic taste. But can you really get your apple a day through a pill? If so, how many apple cider vinegar capsules should you take? Will capsules work as well as the liquid form? Why take apple cider vinegar in the first place? Will ACV capsules help me lose weight and clear up my acne? We'll discuss the pros and cons of taking apple cider vinegar capsules below.

Advantages of Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules

  1. The primary reason that consumers turn to apple cider vinegar capsules is that they dislike the taste of apple cider vinegar, even diluted.
  2. Apple cider vinegar capsules are certainly more convenient. Taking a couple of capsules is easier than drinking an entire glass of water with vinegar added to it. Apple cider vinegar liquid certainly holds no advantage over capsules if it is not used at all.
  3. Capsules are more portable. Even those who normally take apple cider vinegar liquid turn to capsules when traveling, especially by plane. It is definitely more convenient to put a bottle of pills in your handbag than a bottle of vinegar!

Disadvantages of Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules

  1. Certainly a purist will say that a capsule is a poor substitute for the real thing. Less processing is nearly always preferred, and obviously capsules of vinegar powder are a more processed form of vinegar than the liquid in a bottle.
  2. Most capsules contain fillers which are completely avoided by using the liquid.
  3. People with digestive problems may not do as well with the gelatin capsules, especially if diarrhea is a problem; the capsules may be passed undigested.
  4. Not all capsules are vegetarian or allergen free and would not be suitable for as many consumers as liquid vinegar.
  5. Dosages of capsules are more elusive.
  6. Because liquid vinegar is taken in a good amount of water, and capsules can be taken with a minimum of water, those who consume vinegar the old fashioned way may have the added benefit of increased water consumption.
  7. Children, the elderly, and those with swallowing difficulties may not be able to swallow capsules.
  8. While capsules avoid the taste of apple cider vinegar, they do not avoid the smell! They have quite a strong odor.
  9. Apple cider vinegar capsules cannot be used for external applications as regular vinegar can. Vinegar is used topically on people and pets for a variety of conditions that include bug bites, splinters, sprained ankles, athlete's foot, eczema, and itchy skin.
  10. If you have any side effects from apple cider vinegar capsules, you can not be sure the vinegar is the actual cause of side effects since the added ingredients or components of the capsules may be the cause of side effects.

How to Take Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules

The recommended dosage of apple cider vinegar capsules varies with different manufacturers. Usually it is recommended to take 1-2 capsules 1-3 times a day. Some manufacturers say that 1 capsule is worth 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Other capsules have two teaspoons worth of vinegar in one capsule. It may take some sleuthing to figure out the actual amount in a particular product.

Capsules should be taken with meals to avoid digestive upset. Vinegar pills are quite concentrated. Taking one on an empty stomach or with only a bit of water may be quite disturbing to the stomach.

As with any new remedy, it is best to start with the smallest dose and increase slowly. Always monitor your symptoms.

Do Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules Work as Well as Real Vinegar?

If you ask consumers, you will find many, many people who have used apple cider vinegar capsules successfully to treat a large array of health problems. They are used for acne, weight loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, heartburn, acid reflux, gout, energy, etc. Certainly it is worth a try, especially if taking regular vinegar is inconvenient or unpalatable to you.

Apple Cider Vinegar has been my miracle cure! I began to suffer from acid reflux this past winter when my gall bladder decided to stop working properly. The pain, weight loss and sleepless nights were making life for me and my family miserable. The side effects from the doctor prescribed PPI's were worse than the reflux. After reading posts from this site in June, I ran out and bought Apple Cider Vinegar supplements from my local health food store. I just couldn't stomach drinking the vinegar straight. After the first supplement, my stomach felt a little calmer, but I thought perhaps it was just wishful thinking. Each day I continued on with the apple cider vinegar (ACV) supplements (1 with each meal), and each day the reflux improved. I can now completely control my reflux with ACV supplements and diet, staying away from my trigger foods as much as possible. Sometimes I forget to take the supplements at each meal and still no problems. I also take digestive enzymes and probiotics to aid digestion since my gall bladder has been removed.

I was diagnosed with acid reflux a year ago, it was so bad that I couldn't even sleep at night. I immediately began looking for herbal remedies. When I came across the apple cider vinegar remedy, i had to try it. I bought apple cider vinegar capsules and within a couple of weeks my acid reflux was cured. I continued to take the capsules for a couple of months and discontinued and i have not had any acid reflux episodes. Try it really works....

Friends of my parents when I was a child had an apple cider press and they contiually extolled the virtues of acv. We always thought they were a little cooky but within the last few years, a costomer that shops at my store said he used Apple Cider Vinegar tablets for his back pain and I tried some and it worked. Ha Ha the cooky people had it right, the stuff is amazing, I have trained and run marathons and nothing helps bring down inflamation back legs hips like acv. Then just this morning we go to emerg with my wife having the most painful headache of her life and as the attendant was saying what actually causes the pain and said the she was administering an anti inflam, I considered Apple Cider Vinegar and oh what a surprise to find that I was right. She is still doped from the MANS narcotics but she, hating drugs and hearing the previous testimonials is willing to try acv. Thanks to all who posted, Richard Victoria Bc Canada

Mom was in a nursing home in late 2015 and around November, they wheeled in a roommate who for several days, was either sleeping or on a nebuliser. After a few days she sat up and I was able to ask her what was wrong with her, she said she had COPD, and so we chatted about doctors and religion and I asked her if she minded if I looked up COPD to see if they had something to help her out. And so the long and the short of it was, I gifted her a baggy full of ACV capsules, and there was plenty there for her to try, then get her own if it worked.

Not too many days went by and she was up and walking. First to the nurses station then down to the main entrance. She was much improved and didn't really need to be there. But I'm glad the apple cider vinegar capsules did work. It def improved this ladies life and I was happy to see the improvement on her. She got rather talkative and was out of the room and talking on her phone. So I know the ACV worked for this COPD sufferer. But I had to take mom home and so we left and I never heard the rest of the story but she was much improved over her earlier days at the nursing home! The reco was 3caps 3x a day and that did it!

I love your story. I have copd and I truly wish I could believe this. It seems to me the lady might have had a severe respiratory infection of some kind BECAUSE of her copd, and therefore only in that facility to recuperate from that infection. I would love for you to look that lady up today and see how she is doing and give us an update. Love ya. Take care.

I purchase Apple Cider Vinegar capsules, often from ebay, but also direct from the manufacturer in the USA.

I started using them when I was diagnosed with C.O.P.D. lung disease. They changed my life, I could breath again without the need for inhalers or nebulizers, am off the other medications as well.

Reduced my cholesterol, and lost weight, normalized my sugar levels, and I no longer suffer with reflux or heartburn. I take 6 capsules a day, and it costs me less than just one of my prescriptions did.

My brother and I have suffered from Eczema for years. I went on the internet to find any home cure. I came across Apple Cider Vinegar. I went to my local health store and bought a bottle of chewable. I took one morning & night for one month. The Eczema was gone and also one my brothers knee. He was spending a $200.00 for skin cream from a doctor. I say try it, what have you got to lose.

I stumbled across ACV tablets because a friend was taking them to aid in weight loss. When she told me they made her quite regular I thought they might help me. I was dx with IBS about 5 or so years ago. I have been bloated without relief for the last 6 months. After taking just 1 tablet I noticed a difference that afternoon. For the first time in months I actually feel normal again.

I've been taking for 5 days now and I can't believe it. It's like a miracle cure!

You can buy ACV pills at nutrional stores so you dont have to drink it and burn your throught just be sure to drink plenty of filtered water with the pills and most kidney stones will disolve within a few days sometimes they disolve them to a sand like substance which is really easy to pass compared to a stone.

I've taken both and had success with both. I'm giving my children the tablets but taking the bottle myself. I will take the tablets if I am in a pinch and can vouch that they worked for my migraine.

Hi everyone, 0n Nov 11/2012 which was a Sunday, I was experiencing some very unusuall symtoms, hurting in general. Tenderness of my scalp etc, then by the following Tuesday I was growing lumps on the left side of my head at an alarming rate & I couldn't lose the pain with any over the counter meds. So on Thursday I went to the emergency ward in far away Athabasca Alberta, 60 miles away, and the closest good hospital in my experience and was quickly admitted and diagnosed with shingles, soon after my lovely wife found this site and apple cider vinegar's (ACV) uses & benifets.. & as we were waiting for my prescription to be filled she found ACV tablets of which I take 4 a day & they are my primary pain reliever.

I am 2 months from my 61st Bday.

Thank You all & whom ever put this site together I feel you have save me MUCH Pain & GRIEF.... Tom

Trigger Finger

I used both Apple Cider Vinegar and MSM to cure a "trigger finger". ' A big knot appeared on the inside of my thumb joint. It was EXTREMELY painful. I couldn't write or do anything with that hand. I didn't realize how important my thumb was. The dr. gave me a cortisone shot in it (ouch) and said if that didn't help, he would have to do surgery and cut the tendons in my thumb to try and relieve the pain. The cortisone shot didn't help. I received a magazine in the mail shortly after this talking about MSM. I decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. After a few weeks of using MSM, ALL the pain went away. (This all happened about 5 years ago). The knot was still there even though the pain was gone (it was a very obvious knot). I then started taking apple cider vinegar tablets and WOW, the knot disappeared!! It is still gone and so is the pain.
