I took my first cold shower today, after reading about cold shower benefits on your website. It really does feel good! I was a little scared and started with lukewarm water. Brought it down as most as I could tolerate it. But man, the other people are right - it really does give you a ton of energy! I suffer from depression, anxiety and panic attacks, and this shower seemed to my anxiety in check. Thank you!

That's it! I am totally hooked on ice cold showers! I have often thought about doing it over the years but always put it off. Now I'm thinking , why did I wait so long?

Bottom line...total rush, energy that lasts all day, sense of well being, physical and mental stimulation, heightened awareness, heightened senses such as smell, hearing and taste, positive outlook, strong immune system ( no more colds or allergies), great stress reducer.. .it keeps me an all round happy, healthy and fun loving guy. I would recommend it to anybody.

After my morning cold shower I am totally invigorated and I actually want to jump in again during mid day for an added boost.

Cold water shower is simply amazing. I tried it today after reading the comments here. First few minutes I was shivering to death. I actually thought of turning the hot water. But I then after few minutes my body temperature got well adjusted to the cold water. It felt so good. I went in with a headache and came out so fresh and renewed. Thanks!

For 3 months i've been taking cold showers once in a day. My dad taught me that if you keep some water in your mouth while taking cold shower, you will avoid the trembling. Cold showers helps you learn faster. Look after yourself, you super human being.

Cold showers cured my dry skin and poor circulation. Wow! Just found this site after having tried this the past few weeks. Usually, I alternate between cold and hot -- always finishing my shower with at least 1 minute of ICE COLD water. My skin feels great when I get done. I feel energized, and often aroused after my shower! I'm totally hooked! TRY IT!!

I have sinusitis and used to sneeze frequently. I had been having cold shower since the last four weeks. It was hard the first time, but never so subsequently. My sneezing has significantly reduced.

AMAZINGLY, i'm hooked and love cold showers every morning and evening i have cold showers, this really helps me through my day. Right now i feel i cannot function without having a cold shower. This site also helped me into my first step in trying out a cold shower.

If you get a flexible shower head with a long extension you can spray the shower walls before and after you turn the water to cold and it helps to get used to it. I just started and am hoping to not have as many colds this year.

I have been taking cold showers for 3 years. I am 22 now. For 3 years I did not have any illness. I start with feet, legs, then arms and finally all my body. My skin got much beautiful and my hair looks very healthy. It also gives a particular mood to me, and makes me feel very good.

General Feedback

After reading all the enthusiastic reactions I put a poll on my energy-related website. Over 300 people responded to the question If they took warm or cold showers:

3% takes cold showers
5% starts warm and ends cold
92% takes warm showers

I think using the words "fresh showers" sounds better than "cold showers". I also would like to know if there are more and stronger arguments like: does it makes you loose weight? Does it improve your love-life? (the blood that leaves your skin has got to go somewhere!) Greetings, Arno

It definitely helps with cold weather. I've been taking cold showers for 5 years now (I'm 27) and it is rare that I have more than a short sleeve shirt under my jacket during the winter. People say that I'm crazy and that I'm going to catch a cold but the last time I had a cold was 6 years ago. To be honest, I'm a little scared of my addiction to cold showers. It is my morning "coffee" and it gives me the energy throughout the day. Now -I'm very resistant to cold weather but I became more sensitive to warmer temperatures. I often find myself in a room with others wearing 2 or 3 layers; I'm wearing a shirt and I'm hot. Not to mention what girls tell me: "your body is on fire" or "you're burning" ..:) I actually decided to do a google on "cold showers" to see if there is any harm, and that's how I found this place ps: yes...it does help with weight loss. Combine that with some exercise and you'll have a beautiful toned body.

Well, I have this bronchial thing going on, and being a teacher, I cannot afford to be sick. Tonight I decided to take a cold shower, and this is big for me. I HATE COLD WATER! I always take very hot showers, and tonight I thought, I cannot break the congestion. Well, I gritted my teeth, and ran under the shower. I came out of the shower, and the phlegm started to come up big time. No explanation, but I hate to say it, it felt good, and I do feel refreshed! I think I will do the same tomorrow!

Read about it on this site. Have been taking cold showers for several months now. Having well water its very cold even in the summer. If i stick my head into the stream of water first the initial shock is not bad at all. Then it just feels super you feel so refreshed and awake. Seem to be very good for the skin and have not had a cold since . I look Forward to it now.
