I have been taking 2 tbsn ACV with 16 oz water sipping throughout the day. Its been a month and I havent lost even a single pound. I am a strict vegetarian and I know my diet intake does not exceed 1500 calories a day. I am not sure if I am taking the ACV in a wrong manner. When you take the ACV in the mentioned quantity on site ( 2 tbspn with 16oz water) do you have to leave some gap before and after meals?

Hi! I am Vicky. I have been taking ACV for almost 1 month but I have not losat weight and its quite dissapointing. I take about 2tbsp with a glass of water twice a day. I also take about 2tsp of pysllium husk twice a day. Am I doing this diet correctly? I am desperate to lose weight. I am 5'7"and about 75kilos. My tummy is quite big (waist 37"), it looks as though I am pregnant all year round. This is so embarassing and this is really making me so depressed!!! Please I hope someone out there will be able to help!!!

I have been taking ACV since past 2 weeks and have not noticed any difference at all. I take 1.5 tablespoon in 8 ounces of water, 3 times a day. Once as soon as I wake up, once after lunch and once after dinner (before going to bed). Am I doing something wrong? I am not very heavy. I weigh 133 lbs, and want to become 120 lbs. Please someone help me and let me know what else can I do? I first bought the ACV from Shoppers, but then I bought from Trader Joes and am taking that now. PLEASE HELP...I M DESPERATE. THANKS

I've been using apple cider vinegar for about 2 months now, and I have to admit that it does give you glowing skin. I drink one tablespoon of organic unfiltered ACV in a glass of water once a day and use regular filtered as a skin toner on my face twice a day. I'm in my late 20's and have acne, and I saw immediate results in 2 days. My skin glows, even when I have a break out. I use other products for acne, but I have noticed that break outs are reduced.

Additionally, drinking ACV has helped my acid reflux. I do not exactly understand how consuming an acid helps, but it does. I suppose it is possible that my stomach does not have to produce and excessive amount of acid if I am ingesting one.

As a side effect, I did notice that I had the constipation problem other people mentioned. I found it was worse the more ACV I drank, so I just restrict myself to 1 tablespoon per day and give my body a break from ACV at least one day a week.

Weightloss-wise, I've not noticed any results, but I think this is because I am not significantly over-weight and eat a healthy diet in the first place. I'm a 5'8'' 155lbs woman, so even a 5-10lbs loss from drinking ACV would be a bit drastic. I may, over an extended period, lose a bit, but I think that ACV helps more if you have not been taking any weight management measures. I think it might be helpful if more people describe their lifestyle pre-ACV in the weightloss section so that people will have a better idea of what results they can expect.

I read that apply cider vinegar is amazing for weight loss so I decided to test it and not change anything else except taking apple cider vinegar tablets twice a day for 2 wks. after two weeks i noticed no change in how i felt except that i gained 6lbs. 6lbs in 2 weeks! Needless to say, I don't believe apple cider vinegar works for everyone.

EC: Tablets are not nearly as effective as drinking the liquid:

I have been taking ACV to lose weight for almost 2 weeks now, and I am not seeing much of a difference. I don't mix it with Honey because I still just can't get past the taste. I have started mixing it with V8 juice and it tastes much better. I don't know if maybe this is the reason I am not seeing any results or maybe I am just not very patient. I use the Low Sodium kind so there is not that much salt. For the lady who is using Heinz, that is not a good idea. You need to use the Organic ACV. I use _____. It will specifically say that it contains the mother.

After two months of ACV twice a day with honey, I had no loss of any weight but with new blood work my glucose went up, maybe because of honey? However, my bloodpressure went down from 130/75 to 122/72. I have stopped taking ACV with honey because of elevated glucose 119. I am 65. Bye and good luck to the rest.

EC: We are not big fans of adding honey to ACV for that very reason (i.e., elevated glucose levels).

I gained lots of weight during my 2 pregnancies, but I lost it all but these awful 8-10 lbs. It's been 2 years since I had my 2nd child. I exercise, watch what I eat, avoid pop/soda, processed foods, etc. But I cannot get rid of these 10 lbs!!! When I found this website and read the reviews and I was so ecstatic thinking that I had finally found a natural remedy to boost my weight loss. I've been taking organic ACV with 'mother' for 3 weeks now. (2Tbs in 1C of water before bed). I regret to say that I have NOT noticed much difference in any aspect of my life - energy level is the same, no changes in skin condition, as many posters witness.. And most importantly, I have noticed that since I've started taking ACV my appetite has doubled. Maybe it's only my peculiar reaction but still wanted to share my observation.

when i was 18 i became pregnant, i weighed about 105lbs. right before my first check up.

i weighed 147 the day i left the hospital and have had such a battle with my weight ever since...i have been as heavy as 160, but normally my weight fluctuates between 150 and 155 and i just stay there...i've tried weight watchers and it worked but i only lost about 1lb a week, it was too slow for me and i lost my interest. i've tried running, biking, exercise vidoes, diet pills from tv, everything..i can't seem to lose weight and it's so frustrating. I don't want to go out anywhere becuase i'm so uncomfortable and embarrased. I am getting married next summer to my son's father :) and I am so ready to be healthy and look healthy for our big day!

I have been using the ACV and honey remedy for a week and a 1/2. I use Organic Apple cidar vinegar with the "mother" they call it (very impportant to use orangic so it is not pastuerized, processed, filtered, or heated, you want all the enzymes and everything!)
and then i use raw organic honey fresh from my fiance's grandfather's hive. also very important that no ingredients are added, it is not boiled or heated.. so that you get all of the enzymes and good stuff that would normally be cooked and killed off during the processing.

i mix 1 tablespoon of each and dilute with about 4oz. room temp. water,-just enough so i can down it quick! it's also ok to use chilled water i've done the research.

i do this 3 times a day.

i have not lost any weight yet, but my skin is clearer and it does help to suppress my appetite so i'm going to stick with it for a while and see what happens. I also have more energy and the taste is getting better.

If anyone has any advice or other tips please feel free to fill me in!! i am a person that can't seem to commit to one weigthloss fad and i am so tired of it! i really want this to work!

thanks and good luck to everyone!

I have stuck with the various recipes over the past three weeks. I even walk 3-4 miles a day, 4 times a week! Well, whoa and behold I have gained 6 pounds! I am so sad and heart broken!. I must admit the apple cider vinegar has made me feel so energetic and full of energy. Unfortunately,I must admit that mentally, I'd rather be thin and depressed then fat and happy. Best wishes to you all. Apple cider vinegar has its advantages...suppose it just wasn't meant for me!

Hi maybe I'm not doing this right, I have organic acv,,and was taking 2 teaspoons alone before meals, didn't lose weight. But I don't do it faithfully. My question is this ??? there's a few recipes here, what's the best most effective one? Is it best to make a large amount, like a quart and 1 cup of acv and drink throughout the day or to take 1/2 acv in 1/2 cup, and is honey necessary or just for taste? PLEASE HELP ME HERE. I WANT TO TRY IT FAITHFULLY AND SEE RESULTS LIKE YOU ALL DID.. WHAT SHOULD I DO, WANT TO LOSE THE 20 LBS I GAINED,,,, AS FAST AS POSSIBE. THANKS

ACV for weight loss: I have been drinking apple cider vinegar (1/2 cup in quart water and honey) for a fortnight now. I am 47 and would like to shift 3 or 4 pounds. Nothing has happened, not an ounce of difference. I am watching what I eat, have cut out carbonated drinks and am exercising (zen chi machine). Sorry folks, not a success story but I have acquired a taste for ACV and honey.

I tried ACV, 2 Tbl in juice, plus 1 Tbl honey. I did this 3X a day. I did it for a whole month. It didn't help allergies, overall energy or weight loss. It also did nothing for my kids' health. It may have improved my complexion. I do use it externally on my face as well, and that does seem to help some. It may help keep me somewhat healthier as far as communicable diseases go. I haven't caught the kids' myriad colds, flu, etc. But that may be due to echinacea, oil pulling, cold showers, or healthier eating!
