Artemisinin for Cancer and Malaria

Artemisinin is a Chinese herbal compound derived from the Artemisia plant, also known as wormwood or sweet Annie. This compound is extracted from the plant’s upper shoots, flowers, and leaves. Initially native to Europe, northern Africa, and western Asia, Artemisia is now cultivated in North America as well.

Health Benefits of Artemisinin

Artemisinin is known for its diverse health benefits, including:

  • Sedative: Calms nerves and promotes sleep by relaxing muscles.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Reduces inflammation, swelling, and pain, making it effective for gastrointestinal and autoimmune conditions.
  • Antibacterial: Treats wounds, ulcers, and skin lesions by preventing infections and relieving pain.
  • Oxygenation: Breaks down infectious particles and destroys parasitic cells while preserving healthy ones.
  • Low Resistance: Parasites and bacteria have a reduced ability to form resistance, making it an effective treatment for malaria and other conditions.

Can Artemisinin Treat Malaria?

Yes, artemisinin is a proven anti-malarial compound. It contains a compound called coartem, which eradicates malaria in over 96% of cases, according to Scientific American. Its fast-acting properties make it a valuable treatment for this disease.

Artemisinin as a Cancer Treatment

Artemisinin shows promise as a potent cancer treatment. It works by utilizing oxidation to target cancerous cells. When artemisinin reacts with iron in the body, it releases a peroxide molecule, generating reactive oxygen species that destroy cancer cells. The process is enhanced when combined with iron supplements, as cancer cells feed on iron, intensifying the reaction.

According to anecdotal evidence, patients have seen up to a 28% tumor shrinkage within 16 hours of treatment. However, standard wormwood extracts (containing only 0.3-0.5% artemisinin) are insufficient. Effective cancer treatment requires 600 mg of 100% artemisinin twice daily, along with iron supplementation.

Other Uses of Artemisinin

In addition to cancer and malaria, artemisinin is used to treat:

  • Parasites
  • Fungal infections like candida
  • Appetite disorders
  • Stomach issues
  • Liver and gallbladder complaints
  • Fever and irregular menstruation
  • Wounds, ulcers, skin lesions, and insect bites (topically)

How to Use Artemisinin

The dosage of artemisinin depends on the condition being treated:

  • Digestive issues and minor ailments: 100-200 mg daily by mouth.
  • Cancer treatment: 600 mg of 100% artemisinin twice daily with iron supplements.

Consult a healthcare provider before starting treatment to determine the right dosage and ensure safety.

Conclusion

Artemisinin is a versatile herbal compound with powerful applications in modern medicine. From treating malaria to offering a natural alternative for cancer therapy, its benefits are both diverse and effective. Always use under proper guidance to maximize its potential benefits.

I take artemisinin 800 mg every 8 hrs when my Lupus flares. Then I reduce to 600 to 800 every 12 hrs. Works faster than other meds. I haven't had a cold since I started taking it 7 years ago.

Artemisinin for Lung Cancer

I was diagnosed with lung cancer in April, 2014. I cut out grains and carbs, took BiCarb every morning, used a salt diffuser.

I was still congested and bought a salt diffuser and overnight the congestion improved hugely.

Then I read asomething about Artemisisin, started taking it around the middle of July, and had been using it for 6 weeks, then I had an xray about 6 weeks ago, and was told by the doctor there a substantial reduction, and that all I had was a bit of congestion in my lower right lung. It's not gone yet, but I feel so much better and can breathe better. This is a post to tell people about this herb.

I absolutely will not take any pharma drugs and haven't for 40 years, so there was no way I was going to do chemo. When you start to research, there are SO many natural remedies out there and they are suppressed. It isn't a death sentence, but you need to have the right attitude, this makes a huge difference. Check out Ty Bollinger. One of his books is "Cancer, Step Outside the Box". Well worth reading.
