Coffee

My grandma used coffee on me for pink eye and I use it with my kids also. It works. Dark warm coffee, that's all.
Coffee

Man, my Momma held me in a head-lock as she put fresh (tolerably hot) coffee in and around my eye when I had pink eye (like 20 years ago). It worked. Not too long ago my niece had pink-eye and I performed the head-lock-coffee-application-manuver and it was cleared the next day (I continued one more treatment the next morning though, just to make sure).
Coffee

Remedy/Cure: brewed black coffee for conjunctivitis
How to Use: Brew a cup or two of coffee as strong and dark as possible. Dip a clean cotton ball in the warm coffee. Gently wipe the coffee saturated cotton ball over infected eye so coffee runs into the eye. Wipe over several times and if needed repeat with a new cotton ball. The coffee can be saved in a container for 24 hours, but be sure container is clean. DO NOT contaiminate coffee by placing used cotton ball back into coffee! Be sure to warm coffee before each use.
How often: I used this treatment once every two hours for three days. Treatment can be done more frequently to alleviate itch and inflamation associated with pink eye.
My experience: I payed $21 (USD) for a bottle of antibiotic eyedrops. I used them for the ten days as recomended. I was not cured at the end of the ten days and suffered each day with red, sore, goopy, itchy eyes because the drops didn't even alleviate the symptoms of pink eye. I used the coffee for three days and from the first treatment I was no longer suffering.
Colloidal Silver

My 21 month old girl was suffering from this for a week and it kept getting worse despite me squirting breast milk in her eye and wiping with chamomile tea (though maybe I wasn't treating frequently enough?)
So I bought 15ppm colloidal silver and put drops in her eyes 4x the first day and already it's so much better!
I'm also wiping with cotton wool balls dipped in ACV super diluted - just enough to give a tiny sting (I tried it on myself first), in water (that has been boiled then cooled) about every 2-3hrs
I'll continue this until it's gone and another day or so just to be safe.
Thanks SO MUCH for this website!
Colloidal Silver

I had really bad conjunctivitis for over a month resulting in time off work, doctor prescribed me three different antibiotics and although they seemed to start working at first they never cleared it. Then I read about colloidal silver and decided to try it. A drop in each eye once in morning and once at night for first two days, then once at night only for a further two days and voila! It was basically clear after two days but still getting slightly sticky eyes in the morning so continued for two more days and I was cured!
Colloidal Silver

Hi there. I just recently bought colloidal silver for the treatment of my pink eye. It first started in my left eye about 4 days ago. I used some antibiotic drops left over from when my children had it just the week before. Woke up about yesterday with my right eye completely swollen and discharging. Couldn't afford to go to the doctor again so I bought some CS. I did my first dose, 2 drops in each eye, at 1:30 pm and it started clearing. Did a 2nd dose, again 2 drops each, at 4:30pm. Still fine. At about 7:45pm I did my final dose, and my right eye instantly swelled and became irritated, red, discharging again and was very painful. I'm wondering what I did wrong, or if I am having a reaction. I don't believe its a reaction necessarily because my left eye is fine. The ppm of the CS is 50.
Any advice on what to do? I really want to stop the spread of the pink eye as we have a very full house and its already made its way past my 2 children, myself and my nephew. So I'm trying to prevent it passing thru my husband, brother and niece. Should I discontinue the use of CS or is this normal? I've never used it before so any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.
-Thank you

The infection was greater in that eye and the cs was killing it off so fast, that is what made the reaction. it is called the herxemer effect not sure if spelling is correct. I have had this effect in different parts of my body when cs startes to kill bacteria or virus off.

Yeah, you used way too much - one drop of 10ppm every three hours is what you do.

Colloidal Silver

I also used colloidal silver hydroxyl for pink eye. It worked right away. Thank God for this site.
Colloidal Silver

I use colloidal silver, a couple of drops in the eye and it clears up pink eye within hours, not days. My dog looked like her eye was going to pop out and I put 2 drops in her eye and within hours it was back to normal. This is the fastest working thing I have ever seen. Me and my children always have a bottle on hand. It is miraculous to me.

Colloidal Silver

I use colloidal silver for conjunctivitis. Use two drops in each eye and blink a little to get it all over the eyelash roots. Twice a day till all is clear.
Colloidal Silver

Colloidal Silver seemed to work for me for an eye infection. Went down fine. Not sure if it would have gone down by itself, though. Colloidal silver seems to work for almost all topical infections I have :) I just make it myself and apply it once or twice a day with whatever is appropriate, such as in this case I used a pipette.

Mike from UK re Pink Eye,
Hello, and I too have used Colloidal Silver on conjunctivitis .... pink eye.
That virus is a killer to get rid of but for the past 15 years when I first read it would work I've used it to quickly get rid of the infection.
I use two drops of CS in each eye twice a day for two days. I was told by an ophthalmologist who was a professor of ophthalmology not to use the CS beyond 2 days because the CS could take off the cells of the eyeball.

Colloidal Silver

Pink Eye: Yea for Colloidal silver. I used it twice a day for 3 days, by day 2 it was almost gone, by day 3 all clear. Used it years later when my son got it and worked just as quick.
Colloidal Silver

I have contracted pink eye at least seven times in the last fifteen years. Two drops in each eye of colloidal silver twice a day for two days cured it every time. Don't use the silver for more than two days; it will start erroding some of the layer of the eye. That happened to my mother once when she overdid the use of the silver. But the tissue healed and in four or five days she no longer had the blurred vision... And the pink eye was gone. But the point is... Don't overdo the silver.... just two drops, twice a day for two days.

Dear Turtle,
By now your eyes have probably self-rinsed.
Chamomile Tea is soothing to the eyes and also helpful for pinkeye. You could us it on the days off of silver. I pour very hot water over the tea bags and let them cool to body temperature. Then Gently squeeze out the excess water and place one tea bag over each eye. This I do twice a day but it could be done more often.

Colloidal Silver

Not in any way criticizing any other suggestions listed above but I've easily dealt with pink eye by using a few drops of colloidal silver onto eye ball itself. Twice a day for two days. Gone.

Hello Loretta,
10 ppm is fine. I use 50 but 10 would work. Don't use for more than two days in a week.

Loretta;
I use colloidal silver at about the 50 ppm level. I use twice daily for pink eye and administer three drops or so in both eyes and repeat the next day....two days. If a bad case, I might go to 3 times a day for two days. I do not administer cs in eyes for more than two days at a time. CS can take off some of the cells so I must be very cautious with eyes.

Colloidal Silver

I would like to add another "YEA" to using colloidal silver for pink eye.
I contracted pink eye from someone at work. I had leftover antibiotic eye drops, but I have been trying to get over candida overgrowth and C. Diff, and therefore I am no fan of them. I went on EarthClinic and found a number of people had tried colloidal silver for pink eye. I had some left over from when I was sick a few months ago, so I thought I'd give it a try. I applied one drop every 2 or so hours all day on Day 1. It is now Day 2, and it is almost completely gone! Thanks!
Colloidal Silver

My recent eye infection treated with anti inflammitory drops antibiotic drops for 1 week with little results and no resolve. C.S. began working immediately and infection was completely resolved within a few days.
