Acidophilus dissolved in pure water (emptying two capsules of acidophilus in an ounce of water and mix thoroughly) introduce into the vagina with a syringe without needle, do it twice a day for three days. It is an excellent remedy for vaginal itching..for daily hygiene use water with a little vinegar, avoid using soaps. Thanks

I tried virgin coconut oil and got some relief at first. Then I tried honey. It worked much better and the itch is almost completely gone after 2 days of use. I applied it once a day in the morning after a shower. I also used a pantiliner to protect my underwear.

Just fyi, lower pH is acidic; higher is alkaline. The vagina is a naturally acidic environment (low pH), so that's why vinegar is a good option.

Hi Bill!? Thank you for this information!!!! This is amazing! I`m 39 and never had a vaginal itching problem before. I`m glad to find this page:) I do have in my pantry Lugol`s iodine 2% so now I start taking for sure!

2 drop with a glass of spring water?

But the most interesting thing is that 7 weeks ago I start a very CLEAN diet! Not just feel much better but I lost 26lb! So I wondering why is candida start to give me trouble when my diet is all organic, gluten free, dairy free, sodium nitrate and antibiotics free + taking good herbs, juice fast, massage, infrared sauna?

Oh you so much for the hint on mixing garlic powder and water to a paste and smearing it on. I did not sleep last night because of intense itching and couldn't find anything that brought any relief . I was desperate and tried the garlic paste and it took it mostly away. I waited a few hrs and did it again and am almost 100% ok. A few twangs of itching. Thank you so much. It does burn for about 5 mins but was well worth it. I was miserable. Hopefully I can sleep tonight.

MENOPAUSE ITCH RELIEF / VULVA ISSUES

I was having ELECTRICAL CURRENTS there that kept me from sleeping. Went on a vulva info website (http://www.mydr.com.au/womens-health/vulval-problems-a-self-help-guide) n learned it has to do w staying off my female parts as I work at a desk. So by adjusting my seated position n taking breakes those shocking currents disappeared right away!

Applying Vaseline for coating protection really helped as well! ACV stings too much n I believe I've tried just about everything out there!

NOW WHAT I FOUND FOR THE ITCH!

Out of PURE DESPERATION AFTER YEARS OF SUFFERING this week I took double daily dose of CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM/ZINC and it cut the itching completely, like I never ever had it n I've had it for many years now! Nothing has relieved it like this but next day I ate late n felt very acidic n the C/M/Z didn't help as much so am figuring it has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ACIDITY.

Itching as someone wrote is a form of PAIN, that was BRILLIANT n makes perfect sense! So I also took a pain reliever + 2 C/M/Z (3 being a daily dose according to bottle/Nature Made) - every 3 hours. Replaced one dose of Ibuprofen with an aspirin once a day. So this is what has alleviated the itch almost completely. Staying less acidic by not eating heavy at night plus the C/M/Z + pain reliever! Now I am finally able to get some much needed sleep n I haven't slept soundly in months!

Hope this helps someone!

Enje Pretty from Canada--

I have the same thing since last summer. What really helps is sesame oil or Maha Narayan oil which is sesame oil with added minerals used for many things. It works immediately without the terrible pain when using ACV.

Oils are anti fungal. In between one can pacify the area with chamomile tea pack or wash. All other remedies in EC did not work for me. The terrible itch is gone and it does not seem to spread which seemed the case before. What I fear is did this fungal infection move up inside? Then, what to do. Namaste, Om

Many remedies I have tried for vagina itch which work:

Sea Salt in bath, stay in bath for a while, do for one week.

Or use fumes of very hot sea salt water, to let this vapor go in the vagina, you can use a bucket. Can look for this in you tube.

Tampons:
Can soak tampons in one of following solutions, insert and leave in.

Sea Salt and water mixture ( I think this is the most effective) ( get pure sea salt, not with additives) ( will boil salt in drinking water let cool and soak)

Oregano tea mixture ( boil oregano in water, let cool) ( you vagina tampon will smell like pizza lol! )

chamomile tea mixture ( same as above, no sugar or course) ( this is more mild)

Can remake and re insert new created ones as necessary.

I like to use the plastic inserting tampons, dip in solution and insert.

Other useful ideas that I have not tried, are coconut oil, and aloe vera. I would also suggest taking oregano oil internally, and cutting back on breads and sugar. Pass the kindness forward, you can make a difference! <3

December 18, 2013 Dear Mama to many: I first emailed earth clinic with vaginal itching problem the beginning of November. I don't remember if I thanked you for your suggestions, but thanks again if I did. Finally, the activated charcoal came in and I took one capsule. I started off on the low dose side. (i am always nervous trying new things) Although I had slight stomach discomfort, the lingering back pain (i have had it since doing the borax, epsom salt baths with baking soda-i was too afraid to ingest borax because of kidney problems) went away the next day! Not only that, I have had no itching down there after having done the above mentioned baths, not to mention taking the baking soda and water five days on, two days off. As I read many, many posts on kidney pain and kidney disease, I stopped using the ACV for a couple weeks. But I believe the act. charcoal did the trick. Sorry for digressing, but anyway, not only did the back pain leave, but several hours after taking it, I had a biting, pinching sensation down there is the best way to describe it and then nothing. Now I have had no itching or anything for a month so it was interesting this happened after taking act. charcoal. I don't know nearly enough as you or other experts on earth clinic, but it seems anything left down there, the act. charcoal pulled it out?! I have now lost 12 pounds in a little over one month and feel so much better. The hardest initially was staying away from bread even, gluten free stuff, I believe that is another factor, but am now greatly enjoying my hummus on cabbage or lettuce leaves and on celery. Thanks also I copied your instructions (if I should need to make a poultice in the future) for making the charcoal poultice. If I didn't have a part-time job, I would be reading on here more often. I did ask a question about food grade hydrogen peroxide and was referred to many pages, but decided the one I was going to use at health food store by Essential Oxygen (3%) does have one stabilizer in it-so I will hold off for now. God bless you and everyone at Earth Clinic. I pray everyone also continues to have good or better health! Gratefully yours, Dee

I have suffered with severe external vaginal itching for the last three+ years. Initially I thought it to be vaginitis, but nothing abnormal was present and all tests came back negative. Luckily I work in a lab and did my own lab tests cause I could not believe nothing was wrong. It was specifically the discharge that was causing the irritation, (itching only on the outside). My OBGYN and NP could provide me with no real cause stating that everything looked clean and healthy down there. They could only give me some suggestions. For the last three years I tried doing my own research and came on this site repeatedly trying to find relief but everything only worked temporarily and then not at all. I tried LB cultures, yogurt, change in diet, ACV, honey, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, folic acid, , everything minus bleach, , , lol. I came to the conclusion that these things only worked temporarily because they were simply diluting the causing agents in the discharge. It made no sense that all of a sudden this would occur. I love watching Dr. Oz and one night decided to see if he had any info. on the topic just for the heck of it. He had mentioned my condition specifically and suggested Vit. D. It was the first I heard of it as a remedy. Skeptical, I tried it anyway. I am very happy to say that I am now taking Vit. D3 supplements twice a day, on a daily basis and the itch has been 100% gone. It has been over a week that I have found relief, longest ever in 3 years. I will continue this for a few more weeks and see if it is still gone then. Though I know this won't work for everyone, I hope that those with my same situation will also find relief. I have regained my intimacy with my husband and can focus on daily tasks!!!

Hi folks at earth clinic! I couldn't wait till tomorrow to share the itching problem is completely gone down there! PTL! Felt a little die off symptoms that made me sluggish this past week, but will gladly trade that to be on the way to getting rid of candida. Have added other protocols, one in particular; soaking in Epsom salts, baking soda, borax combination; someone here suggested it-don't remember who. At first it left my legs and chest area (had intermittent itching on chest and legs) red, but after second time it went away, so maybe it took getting used to; I started soak for fifteen minutes and soak now for twenty minutes, every other day.

I do have a question for Ted, however. I am deathly allergic to iodine, IVP, shellfish, etc. Is there something similar to lugol's iodine I can add for candida and/or cancer treatment? I am still finding pimples or little lumps down in the opening genital area (my apologies for being so graphic) and that's why I tried the soaking; still have fears about cancer because of precancer surgery down there in 1996 (complete abdominal hysterectomy; they said the pathology was negative). Also, I am still having fears about trying the borax drink. My box is a green and white one that says "Borax Laundry Booster Detergent" and has warning about not taking internally and calling doctor or poison control center if you do. Is it all right to take this one (1/8 tsp. in liter of water throughout the day)? Thanks, Ted (and Bill) so much. Very grateful to you and everyone especially the individual who started this website. I am so grateful after 14 agonizing months not to have that horrible itching down there anymore! Still doing the apple cider vinegar/b.s. drink.

Oh, I also found that eliminating all fruit (including dried cranberries and apricots with walnuts) was the additional key; maybe there's a pre diabetic condition since everyone in my family has had diabetes, except me thank God. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Dee

Greetings, I have read all your postings under vaginal treatments for itching, inflammation and rawness. However none seem to fit my exact issue.

The skin that is raw and inflamed doesn't itch or have pain yet it gives off a foul odor of infectionous smell. When I look at the area which is the crease below my belly and the beginning of my vaginal area where hair is before you get to the uretha where urine comes out is the area that is infected.

maybe someone could address this area. I have considered ACV and Honey. Maybe you can help me I been dealing with this for about a month. Trying not to take pills. Thank you in advance for your assistance and help in this matter.

Mix 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil or Butter
1 Tbsp. Honey or Sugar
1 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
Melt it all together, and take while still warm"

Thanks for everyone's help. I love this website and am so grateful to all the wounded healers! It's hard to believe it's only a week and the itching has stayed completely gone!! PTL! Thanks to all the suggestions, most I tried, but what helped the most was apple cider vinegar and baking soda 2X a day and D.V. will keep on doing this except to take one day of rest and then resume. For severe itching, you could try Allertec, its for allergies, but it does relieve itches.. Take it at night for it could cause drowsiness, try half of the pill for less drowsy effect.

Or try anti itch cream Sarna Regular anti itch lotion, its minty and helps with any itchiness. Can be used as often as needed..

November 10, 2013 Thanks to Mike 62, Mama to Many and others for suggestions. I'm going to purchase activated charcoal before health store closes and Mike you confirmed I need to start juicing my greens... I have put it off because I need a good juicer. Any suggestions on a moderate priced one? Thanks to earth clinic for posting my question so fast. I tried the raw unpasteurized honey last night and it did get me through most of the night, but it sure is messy and ultimately had to get up by 4 a.m. with the itching returning but not as bad. Also started Bill's protocol from Ted this morning with the ACV and baking soda. Willing to try anything from the people at earth clinic and just want to close with a positive note. Used to suffer with chronic bronchitis every spring, until I found earth clinic six years ago and the witch's brew among other suggestions took care of bronchitis; thank God it never came back! You are all a Godsend! God Bless and will keep you posted about the progress. I'm greatly encouraged. Dee

I have gone thru what you are going thru last year. I would itch so bad. I came across a few things you might want to try. 1. Take a vinegar bath and soak for about 20 mins. Vinegar kills fungus. 2. Take a probiotic "a live" culture. I take about 3 pills when I get to itching and get the highest dosage I can get like 50 billion. 3. I soak in baking soda as well. The ph level could be off and soaking in baking soda helps the ph level come up in your vagina area and in your blood. 4. Get some ointment for diaper rash and make sure it has 40% zinc (this helps alot).

I hope the above suggestions help you. They have helped me.

My doctor said having yeast problems can be a start to being a diabetic.

Another thing that might help is jock itch spray. It burns but that means it is killing off the yeast.

Good luck. You can message me if you have questions.

Dear Dee,

You have certainly tried a lot of things to help you suffering and I am sorry nothing is working for you. A few things come to mind that you might try for some relief. One is activated charcoal. Because it adsorbs toxins, it may help with any die off you are experiencing. I know it has helped some with Lyme disease die off. You can take 2 teaspoons in 8 ounces of water 2 hours away from any medication, daily. It is kind of gritty. You can also use it topically. This may be kind of messy but it helps with inflammation and itching. You could follow the directions for how to make a charcoal poultice on the activated charcoal page, or you could just pour some of the charcoal water you drink onto a panty-liner or sanitary pad. You could lay part of a paper towel over the pad if their is charcoal grit on it. But it would easily come off in a shower. Change this every few hours during the day. Or just try it for overnight.

Another thing you could try is turmeric (internally.) We have found turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon, twice a day, or 2 capsules twice a day) to be very helpful for itching and inflammation.

Both of these remedies are best with plenty of water to avoid constipation.

Your diet sounds very good. I don't think Stevia should be a problem. You could add some extra virgin coconut oil to your diet. It is anti-fungal (and anti-everything else that is bad! ) 1-3 Tablespoons a day would be great. You can also use this topically, adding a drop of tea tree to it (I know you have tried tea tree, but it might be good with the coconut oil.) We have also found the combination of tea tree and lavender essential oils to work topically for fungal issues. (But I do dilute them for use in children or in sensitive skin areas.)

I hope you find something that will give you some relief soon. Keep us posted! God bless you!

I have had severe vaginal itching for over a year now, sometimes radiating to beginning of anus. Have seen primary md who has given me fluconazole Sept 2012 after a month of suffering. It worked and then returned one month later. She gave me a second dose (it's a one time pill deal) in April 2013 and it lasted only a couple weeks. She now wants me to go to hospital to have pap smear done (everything is gone and shrunk, she couldn't fit the instrument and hospital would have to give anesthesia-i cancelled appointment last week; I don't feel comfortable doing that and all my insides were surgically removed including cervix) I tried various treatments on this web site only giving symptomatic relief during day but only to return at night. These are what I've tried, three day herb tea to drink (consisting of equal amounts mullein, raspberry and sage herbs-gave relief for a week), marigold ointment, tea tree oil, colloidal silver gel ointment, the last and latest herb pharm fungus fighter, did not use these all at once. My last resort is in addition to the fungus fighter which appears to be helping a bit (i have to use it three times a day and especially before bed at night) is taking the fungus fighter internally. A friend said it could be die off from candida, but am desperate. I have quit bread, don't use sugar, but have used stevia (does this need to go also?) when I use ultima replenesher (as a sports drink) that contains stevia. My diet is primarily vegetarian and have made green salads with apple cider vinegar and 21 seasoning salute (trader joe's) as dressing. I don't know what else to do; just found Bill's protocol and I plan to begin this tonight. Any additional help I would appreciate. I am starting to fear cancer as I'm 61 years old and had complete abdominal hysterectomy in 1996 because of pre-cancer uterus. Oncologist said they got everything in time, but I'm begining to wonder. Thanks and God Bless for any help at all.

P.S. My ultimate reason for writing is I'm beginning to have slight dizziness and overall tired feeling like fatique since beginning the fungus fighter internally (40 drops fungus fighter with 40 drops of Dr. Christopher's liquid echinacea extract; will stop on the seventh day (tomorrow) for a week as echinacea needs a week on and week off I'm told). Thanks again.

to KT from USA--no thank you, I do not want any more information from you. Just because you are 60 and went through menopause does not mean you know what I am going through. Also, I do not like it that you think I am lying about my diet. I grow most of my own produce, having an orchard with 5 varieties of fruits that ripen from May through November. I have at least an acre of berries-grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and brambletypes. My vegetable garden is year-round and totally organic--it has never been planted commercially or sprayed in the 42 years I've lived on it. I raise steers for beef, no antibiotics. I raise my own hay and sileage for them. I keep chickens for meat and eggs and, while they do get store-bought feed, a 50 pound bag of feed lasts almost a year because they are out eating bugs, etc. even mice and small snakes. I purchase sea salt and spices at the grocery store along with my canning supplies. Who are you to tell me my diet is not good? and then rant about gmo's? I don't even buy my seed, keeping enough to plant from what I grow. I'm willing to bet I eat better than you do.

Hello Plain Jane,

I think I know what you're asking about "how sugar works" to produce bad issues:

First, sugar is the prefered food for fungus and viruses, as I've read.

Second, sugar sets up an acidic environment. I've also read that akaline can feed fungus in one of its forms, but acid feeds another form...again as I understand the life cycle of fungus. Maybe the itching phase is the acidic growth time. Just guessing on that one.

Third, suppose that the antagonist is a virus or bacteria. There are a lot of anti virals. Isn't boron an anti viral? I have a condition on the side of my face that over the years itches me to distraction. I started using boron (20 Mule Team Borax) and wet a bit on my finger and rubbed into the itching area. After using the boron a dozen times the itching is down by 99 percent. Did the boron kill a virus? A fungus? Mites?

Try that and any other anti virals you can think of.

Dear Plainjane from PE, It is my opinion that you could not be eating an “extremely good diet” and still be having the problems you are. I am over sixty, post menopause and went through the same thing. It was by a piecemeal learning endeavor (over several years) that I found out the cause. I have posted similar information several times to no avail. After I saw the video about our food being genetically engineered (“GMO's”) to last longer I switched to the grass-fed steers, and free range, pastured hens for my chicken and/or eggs. I thought it would be healthier for us. I was happy to discover that the change was not helping us because it was becoming too expensive to continue.

My husband and I began having more problems with kidneys/bladder, urination, digestion, bowels and weight gain. These animals are being fed the GMO grasses and grains that are difficult for them to digest. Because of how our food is changing it is impossible to conduct reliable studies to prove anything. All foods break down to sugar. For me, sugar was not the problem but I do have to get one brand named sugar that is not supposed to have any flowing/anti-caking agent in it. It starts with a “D” and has been around for a long time. It is supposed to be safer but because of what has happened to our food supply I still reduced my consumption (I don't think I can provide the name on here). The problem was eating the critters who ate the GMO's and eating the eggs that were products of the chickens that ate them. If anyone claims GMO-free they cannot be telling the absolute truth and/or have probably been deceived.

Since you said you only ate “raw” veggies and eggs I believe that's why you are having so much trouble. What your body cannot assimilate ferments. It is a fact that food today is not the same as it was a hundred years ago. It takes me an inordinate amount of time to post things so I won't provide anymore information unless you are truly interested. The main thing I learned was I had to reduce my meat/egg portions and not eat raw veggies and fruit. I have provided a link about the soil to grow "organics" and if you are interested I can look it up for you.

How in the world do some people think this is yeast? No discharge, no odor, the skin on the outside itches--it's like an ingrown hair or a bug bite. I think some of the people on here have their pet bugaboos and that's always the answer. I know this is not yeast. It's some sort of inflammation of the tissue. As I said before, I don't do sugar.

Dear Plainjane,

Regarding sugar being bad...as I understand it, sugar increases inflammation and supresses the immune system. But I think that is processed sugar, not natural sugars like honey or sugar found in fruit. I think there are some health conditions that may make it prudent to avoid even those. But, personally, I think natural forms of sugar in moderation are part of a healthy diet.

There are some herbs that may be helpful to your condition. Philip Fritchey recommends several for menopausal discomfort, hot flashes, etc. If your itching is indeed caused by menopause, (which it seems to be) one or more of these herbs may help and hopefully correct other uncomfortable symptoms as well. He recommends Black Cohosh, Vitex, Dong Quai and Red Clover.

For the Black Cohosh he recommends 1 - 4 #0 capsules a day, or 15-30 drops of tincture three times a day.

For Vitex he commends 2-3 #0 Capsules 3-4 times a day or 1/2 - 1 t. 3-4 times a day.

For the Red Clover her recommends 2-8 capsules a day or 15-30 drops of tincture frequently.

The above would be for taking them individually. He does not give recommendations for a combination of them.

He does not give a recommendation on the Dong Quai.

It may take some trial and error with these to find what helps you. Perhaps one would help or it may take a combination. Personally, I think I would start with the Black Cohosh and start with the minimum dose and work up to the maximum and see how it affects you.

Blackstrap Molasses is something else people have used to help people with menopausal issues and might be something to look in to.

I hope you find relief soon. Please keep us posted!

What are the ingredients in the face cream? If not on the jar, sometimes you can contact the company to get them.

I agree with another poster about sugar. But I would go further. Sounds like severe yeast. If so, you need to drop simple carbs since they turn to sugar in you body and drop sweeteners except strevia, it is an herb and does not harm your body unless you are alergic. This means no grains, potatoes, fruits, etc. Anytime I itch I can trace it to these things in my diet and have to lay off. When you are clear of this, add little back at a time but don't ever go back to it regularly or you will repeat the problem. This included leaving alone artificial sweeteners and diet sodas. Yuck.

Plainjane: Making good hormones, preventing them from becoming bad hormones, and regulating them is the complete program. Aromatization is what you are experiencing. Chew and let dissolve through the gums 20g/day raw sweet potatoe. This makes progesterone. Eat 1 oz./day capers. This has quercitin, an aromatization inhibitor. Take 1g/day hops alcohol extract sublingually. This has xanthuomal. This is the most potent aromatization inhibitor. Take 3g/day cold processed maca or 12g/day regular maca. This regulates the hormones. Google raw food videos for nutritional support.

I've been doing the acv/baking soda for over 5 years now, so that's not a solution. I/m still waiting for someone to tell me why sugar must be avoided--is it becuase sugar is bad, bad bad? or is there some reason for it. As I said before, I do not consume sugar as sugar, but I do eat an extremely good diet and consume mostly raw veg's, when I eat beef it's from my grass-fed steers and eggs/chicken from my free range, pastured hens. No dairy, no caffiene, nothing processed. I even eat my eggs raw, so please just give me the logic behind 'stop all sugar'.

Stop ALL sugar, processed foods and breads. Add organic Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and baking soda to water and sip throughout the day. Search here on this earthclinic site for recommended dosages. Usually it's 1-2 tablespoons ACV + 1/4 teaspoon Baking SODA (NOT powder) to a 16-ounce glass of purified/distilled/filtered water.

Stick to this plan for at least a month, including stopping ALL sugar, processed foods and breads, increase fresh/organic veggies and fruits (more veggies than fruits due to the "sugar" (fructose) in the fruit).

You betcha. I have done all the standard remedies. Could you explain how sugar consumption can cause hormonal itchiness? I could see if it was candida, etc, but it's not. Funny, but I can put lotion on the external spot and get no relief, but my avon face cream soothes it tremendously (lasts about 5 minutes, so no solution).

I"m 56, post-menopausal. I have all the symptoms--hot flashes, memory loss, dryness in my nether regions, etc. My question today is for the itch down there. Inside as well as out--not all over, put certain areas constantly. This is not in infection or inflammation, but hormonal. When it first started I thought I had a bug bite, but that was several years ago and the itch/irritation persists. It feels like I have splinters, inside and out, and just get no relief. I've tried evening primrose oil, coconut oil, olive oil, vit e oil, soaking in epsom salts, estrogen cream, progesterone cream.......This is driving me crazy. Any suggestions other than go on and die already?

Apple Cider Vinegar

I have had very bad vaginal itching with no odor and no discharge for 3 days now. I got some yeast treatment to rule that out but it made no difference. This morning I thought I would go insane because the itching was so bad! I read on this site about Apple Cider Vinegar and how it can lower your ph levels. When I read that it occured to me that I probably have a super acidic level right now because I've been eating a LOT of Indian tomato soup for my cold and drinking orange juice. So, on an empty stomach this morning a drank 4 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with warm water and some cinnamon for taste. After 1 hour my itching has completley gone away! I'm just burning from all the clawing I had been doing but I'm soo excited to have relief and to know about ph levels affecting that area!

Garlic

I found this remedy for the external itching of the vagina from a yeast infection on the internet somewhere. I didn't have any garlic cloves at the time. I can't lie to you. If your vagina is irritated from the itching, it will burn like hell to begin with. However, it only burned for a minute or less. I had run out of options when I tried this remedy and didn't have many ingredients at home. So I tried this and it did help alot. Afterwards, all of the discomfort and itching subsided very quickly. Mix garlic powder and warm water together to make a thick paste. Make sure that it isn't too soupy or too thick. Apply it to the affected external area of the vagina. I know it stinks and it may burn for a little bit, but it's better to have the garlic odor and a little bit of burning than to continuously itch, burn, be in pain and have inflammation. This remedy is well worth the effort if you need immediate relief. It sure helped me and I am thankful.

I, too, take honey every day for allergies. I've had an itch for about a week. I didn't want to take the OTC stuff; it seems so extreme and too strong. So, I used honey as a topical ointment (so to speak). The itching, which was more annoying than serious, stopped almost immediately. I'll keep using it throughout the day and report back if it ultimately stops working.

To add to this post: Still felt discomfort from the slight discharge. I've read it has to do with the shrinking of the uterus during menopause. It is very very slight, colorless, odorless yet strikingly irritating. I took the above posted remedy but still had the discharge discomfort felt like tiny shocks to my private area every 5-20 minutes and while I could ignore it during the day could not ignore at night when trying to rest or doze off. Dreadful lack of sleep, felt aweful. Luckily had the bright idea of applying diaper rash cream to coat the private areas and took an aspirin and this helped. Had to pass along. Best to you with this misery.

Vaginal Itch/Slight Discharge: Had the worst case which kept me awake most of the night, thought I would lose my mind! Read the posts and the ACV helped alot but I still has terrible sensation of super slight but super irritating discharge almost every 5 minutes. I remembered my mom had brought me some natural menopause pills from Mexico called posciclo containing an herb mix and took one pill and was finally able to sleep, symptoms diminished. Next night took 2 and felt no symptoms at all! So I will take one morning and one night for the next week and then one at night for a while! This must be a hormone imbalance more than anything is what I believe. Hope this helps.

But I have seen lots of results from douching once with baking soda.. About 2-3 tablesoops and then douching with peroxide.. I was scared to do the peroxide but I will try it again since soo many comment on it.. Also.. I tried to drink a little peroxide in water and then some baking soda water.. Not sure if this helped.. But mentally it made me feel cleaner.. I'm not a doctor... I also eat moslty natural and organic foods, including natural soda.. Thank you Virgils' root beer! I'm not fat or anything but having the itch made me really feel like trash... Thank you everyone.. I will comment if anything changes.. This is day one.. But the best day I've had in two years!

Thank you, Bill for this insight. I am starting to think I will be able to do this now. I knew it would be impossible for me to go without at least some dessert forever and the whole oat bran, which I prefer for breakfast, in the long run. But now it seems like a doable plan. I have been trying to follow your protocol for a long time, but always slip up on my diet. Now that you mention it, though, I think I have been doing better and maybe some of these cravings are subsiding, so I appreciate your encouraging advise and am glad to hear it's not all or nothing.

Hi Rsw... Even when I had candida, I never had cravings for sugar. Symptoms vary widely with candida. But a constant excessive diet of sugar and carbohydrates with candida and things like sweeteners are definitely linked to cravings. There is no argument otherwise -- too much sugar and carbohydrate in the diet are bad for you and are bad habits to defend.

But I'm certainly no saint. I like chocolate and black forest cake but I may only indulge once a month. And afterwards I know I've been a bad boy so I alkalize like crazy and take other supplements for a short while that inhibit sugar in the body like ALA, cysteine etc. I don't generally have any cravings for sugary things to eat although I do enjoy a moderate fruit intake. The fear about catchng candida again -- I know what this beast can do to your quality of life -- is far greater in me and tends to completely dominate all my bad habits now.

The lesson here is that after you get rid of the candida -- which is one of the main reasons that causes all the cravings -- then your cravings should lessen quite naturally. As long as you learn about the candida yourself and eat a non-processed food diet, you can set up your own preventative aftercure protocol as I have done. I always supplement lugols iodine, humic acid, minerals, vitamins and keep orange oil(limonene), lavender oil, aspirin, Black Seed, methylene blueand other stuff for other emergencies. I might also admit that virtually all these nutrients I have mentioned can kill candida as well other pathogens. That's because I have a high respect for candida -- never underestimate this clever fungus. If bacteria and viruses are the regular troops and enemy of your immune system then candida should be regarded as it's Special Forces or its highly competent Guerrilla Force that is fully capable of hiding in the body in biofilms with its other pathogen buddies(viruses and bacteria), easily adjusting to drugs, breeding with your cells, causing sugar cravings and using superior chemical warfare against your immune system -- like aldehydes, alcohols and poisonous proteins -- to further weaken your health state and wreak havoc on your quaity of life.

Above all, avoid sugar and carbohydrates in your diet when you have candida. If you don't, then you are just feeding the candida inside you and it will become even harder to cure.

Hi Bill, I am always surprised at how easily people seem to be able to give up grains, sugar and/or dairy. I find this very difficult. By ridding one's body of candida, will these foods ever be able to be included in the diet again, or are they basically gone for good? Do you eat vegetables for breakfast? And then vegetables and a little protein (I think you mentioned white meat or fish) the rest of the day? Is this forever? Thank you for the clarification.

Kefir

29 y/o female - I've been having a CONSTANT itch down there for at least 3 months brought on by a mega-dose of chocolate and sweets during hurricane Sandy hibernation. Within six hours of eating FAR too much sugar, I was itching.

I have a history of long term antibiotics for UTIs and Throat Infections, and have a history of Yeast Infections, and about 50/50 success rate with OTC or prescription YI treatment.

Went to the doctor, came back negative culture for yeast or bacteria though both were seen on the slide. Dr. put me on boric acid saying it would work on both Yeast and Bacteria. It helped initially and then stopped. Also went on a 10-day round of Diflucan which also didn't work, the itch was still there.

Finally got very fed up and tried a Kefir soaked tampon (I'd tried yogurt with no luck). Itch was gone almost immediately. I'm now drinking Kefir and using it as a douche, and follow that up with inserting a tampon to keep it in. I've been itch free for three days now, and plan on continuing the Kefir douche and tampon for at least two or three weeks. I'm desperate to get rid of this, it's driving me insane.

Also have been on a low/no sugar, no wheat diet for Candida. I can't say for sure that's what this round is, even though it was brought on by sugar.

All I can say is that I'm clearly deficient in the healthy bacteria that colonizes the vagina. I've read that it takes 21 days for probiotics to colonize (no source, sorry - could be totally false info), so I'm going to drink the Kefir and do this for that long to give the colonization process a chance.

I've also read that yogurt and kefir DO NOT help re-colonize the vagina, as they need to go through the intestines to pick up the DNA in order to be able to attach to the vaginal cell walls (again, no source... Sorry, I forget! ). But, my suspicion is that while the probiotics in Kefir cannot colonize on their own in the vagina, they still work to crowd out the harmful pathogens, be it yeast or bacteria, and in this way work to relieve symptoms UNTIL the vagina is able to re-colonize on its own.

Here's to hoping. I'll repost in a month after I've been off the Kefir douches/tampons for a few days. Then I plan on doing once a week maintenance. Fingers crossed.

Bill Thompson's Remedies

Hi Rs... When I had candida and, amongst all my other myriad symptoms, I also had psoriasis, eczma, chronic athletes foot(for over 20 years) and jock itch as persistent but localized fungal skin problems. All I did was to simply assume, after much thought and research, that I had the systemic or disseminated form of Candida. I used my own protocols based on Ted's remedies and managed to cure this systemic candida form completely. Its been six years since I cured myself of candida -- and not a sign of any candida ever returning and all my fungal skin probems just disappeared on their own andhave also never returned.

The point I'm making is this. If you ever only try topical remedies for your vaginitis problem, and it keeps coming back no matter what you try to do then what does this tell you?

It should tell you that your problem is not just a topical localized problem. Vaginitis is well known to occur and associate frequently together with candida. And the fact that using boric acid topically inside your vagina reduces your symptoms(but doesn't ultimately cure your problem -- it only accomodates the symptoms where it is applied) also tells me that you must have an internal sytemic or disseminated fungal candida problem in your body. Borax and boric acid, as their primary action, are mainly strong fungal killers and weak bacterial killers.

So if the topical remedies don't ultimately cure a problem that seems to be so obviously associated with a fungal problem -- then the next strategy you should adopt is to attack and remove the candida and other infections that are still resident inside your body -- in your blood and organs.

That's the only way that you will achieve a proper cure for your bacterial vaginitis problem -- attack the candida and vaginitis inside your body(not just topically).

I would consider having a serious look at the cures in the Natural Cures for Candida section as a way of curing your vaginitis and candida problems.

By the way, you heard me right. When I went on my candida protocol and after I cured myself -- my psoriasis just disappeared. Doctors and the Merck Manual catagorically state that psoriasis cannot be cured. They also state that psoriasis is a pre-cancerous condition. Like I've already said, my psoriasis just disappeared and its stayed gone for the last 6 years. I have no reason to lie about this.

Can anyone guess why the psoriasis just disappeared?

Because the doctors have got it all wrong(how unusual!! ). I think the reason is fairly clear -- my anti-fungal, anti-candida protocol got rid of it because my own psoriasis problem was actually caused by my candida. Furthermore, I would suggest and conclude that psoriasis isn't the pre-cancerous culprit at all - but I would suggest that candida is the real pre-cancerous culprit here.

Although I haven't gone into any heavy explanations for this -- my own anti-candida protocol on EC was really designed to get rid of a wide spectrum of pathogens that are normally always found associating with candida problems -- including specific and wide action against bacteria, viruses, fungus, mycoplasma and some parasites.

Many people perhaps dislike my protocol because it seems so complex. Usually the people who contact me by email have quite serious end-stage fungal problems and are absolutely desperate and I will always try and help. In almost every instance of using this protocol and diet, this protocol has succeeded. It only failed once when their were problems with availability of nutrients and the sufferer suddenly left the protocol because of stress for awhile. I stayed with him and kept in contact and eventually he went back on a modified nutrient and herbal protocol until he eventually cured himself of candida.

I've already mentioned how an African woman who took this protocol for candida and who had a whole host of other apparently horrific unrelated diseases. 6 months later on this protocol and she emailed me to report that she was now perfectly healthy.

I've recently been advising a man from Indonesia who is on the anti-candida protocol. I advised him to take it easy and start slow supplementing the lugols iodine. His next email arrived and he stated casually that he was now taking 6 drops of iodine 5 times a day and I was horrified!! But this iodine dose seemed to do him no harm at all -- no ill effects or symptoms. I must also add here that the African woman that I mentioned earlier did the same thing(she was desperate!! ) -- she was taking about 32 drops of iodine a day with no ill effects.

So how can these sufferers from under-developed countries take such a high dose of iodine every day whereas sufferers from western developed countries can barely take one drop of lugols iodine without a severe reaction?

I wondered about this higher lugols iodine dosage and did some more research. I read that before the Second World War iodine was regularly recommended by doctors at the time for various ailments in what would be regarded now as huge and poisonous doses today. In these times, iodine was used frequently by doctors at relatively high dosages -- huge and poisonous scream the modern medical fraternity of today!! -- for instance to help cure chronic forms of bronchitis, asthma and emphysema at doses of 300 drops a day(2000 mgs/day). Syphilis was successfully treated by a per diem lugols iodine dose of 20 gms a day!! This is medically recorded historic fact that anyone can look up on the internet.

And then the answer to this weird problem suddenly struck me right betwen the eyes. The reason people from Indonesia and Africa can take such high doses of lugols iodine is because their natural diets are much healthier, their crops are grown on healthier unpolluted soils than in the West. Of course!! Their food therefore contains less heavy metals and poisons, their natural diets are better, so, as compared to the poisonous western diets, their accumulaation of pesticides, heavy metals etc in their bodies would be much less than happens with people in the west who eat chemically processed food and water every day. And the same argument goes for western pre-World War 2 diets - much healthier food than today!! The iodine generally causes a heavy metals detox reaction in the body which can indeed give severe and strange symptoms -- because iodine very efficiently removes aluminium, lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic fom the cellsinto the blood -- so these symptoms, arising in someone from Indonesia or Africa, would be far less severe than the detox reaction(similar to the Herx effect) for any western person in a developed country supplementing lugols iodine in the west.

Similarly, the modern medical fraternity advise that a lugols dosage of greater the 1 mg or 2 mgs is poisonous to the thyroid. This seems to radically contradict the pre-war evidence. But another reason for this is the body's lack of anti-oxidants in the modern processed food diet. Dr Guy Abraham, from the Iodine Project has explained this apparent anomally through his own research. On conversion of thyroglobulin to T3 and T4, hydrogen peroxide(HP) - a pro-oxidant -- is quite naturally produced as a by-product inside the thyroid cells. But if the cell lacks an anti-oxidant enzyme -- glutathione peroxidase -- to mop up and neutralize the excss HP-- then the inevitable excess build up of HP in the cell will eventually helps to destroy the cell and it also changes the thyroglobulin as a protein -- too such an extent that the blood's anti-bodies see these altered thyroglobulin particles as dangerous foreign protein bodies, which are then attacked by the anti-bodies with accompanying cell damage and thyroid nodule formation as a result of this complex interaction.

Notably, neither the Indonesian man nor the African woman that I helped never suffered at all from thyroiditis caused by high iodine supplementation. The obvious reason for this must be that they were eating healthier and more natural diets -- no processed food -- that was high in anti-oxidants. So their higher anti-oxidant levels could more easily cope with the high iodine intake. But in the case of western people who eat polluted processed food and water every day -- this is why they have such a problem with lugols iodine supplementtion -- because there are not enough anti-oxidants -- and particularly the anti-oxidants that help form glutathione peroxidase -- in their diet.

The Liver Support Protocol that I always advise with the anti-candida protocol contains ALA, cysteine and Selenium and Milk Thistle -- which all promotes increased formation of both glutathione and glutathione peroxidase in the human body. So not only does this Liver Support Protocol support and protect the liver -- it also supports thyroid recovery as well.

I have BV and make my own boric acid capsules using vegetariain capsules from my natural health store. I use the capsules vaginally about 2-3 times a week, or whenever I feel the symptoms coming. This is something that has NO CURE so you will be using these capsules for life unless a cure is found. I tried changing my diet, my lifestyle, everything..... Nothing seemed to make it go away. So, we are lucky to have boric acid capsules which have literally saved my sex life and my personal life. They work and they work fast. I will use them for life. I keep a stash in my bathroom in a tupperward container and make about 30 at a time. Boric acid is very cheap to by on Amazon as well as the capsules. Make your own and save tons of money. That way you always have them on hand. Good luck!!!!

I used this remedy successfully to clear my jock itch within 3 days. I saturated a cotton applicator pad with pure tea tree oil and applied it up to 3 times a day in the affected area (I did not dilute the oil). I made sure to rub it in really well. After day one I noticed improvement; after 2 days I was virtually symptom free; on day three I did it just as a precaution to make sure it was all gone. Worked great!

Tea Tree Oil
Posted by 1sttimejockitch (Toronto, Canada) on 08/19/2012

After reading the suggestion on the sight I decided give the Tea Tree Oil 100% a go. I bought it from a local grocery store. I applied it to the affected area (inside of thighs and scrotem) in its full strenght. This thing burned like nothing I have felt before. I left it on as long as I could take it, approximately 10 mins, then washed it off and applied coconut oil.

The next morning my scrotem looked like it was roasted on an open fire. But by the evening, after numerous applications of coconut oil, the skin started peeling and itching subsided drastically.

Day 2 morning shower I washed off most of the peeling skin with wash cloth. Skin was quite tender but for the rest of the day I was not itching very much.

Day 3 4 I used 3% hydrogen proxide solution in a spray bottle and soaked the area 5 minutes before showering both morning and night. This caused the rest of the peeling skin to come off. I applied coconut oil after each shower liberally.

Day 5 I diluted the Tea Trea Oil with coconut oil in 1 to 4 ratio. I drop of TTO for every 4 drops of CO. This worked best for me as there was only a tingling sensation instead of out right burning.

I'm only 5 days in and this is my first time suffering from this condition. The itching is almost none existant. The rash on my inner thigh has peeled and is barely noticeable but it is still there however. I will continue this regiment until gone completely.

I will update in a week or so, hope this helps!
