I tried the iodine for my skin tags and it worked!! I had about 9 small skin tags around my neck from when I was pregnant. They were really starting to bother me and just looked so unsightly. I spend $1.69 on the iodine at the local drug store, put it on the skin tags twice a day. After 1 week most were gone but the stubborn ones, they took 2 weeks. The area around them also became dry so be sure to use some anti bacterial cream once they fall off. Im so glad I found this site, now i can enjoy the summer and not worry about those annoying skin tags.

Anne-- I used nail clippers with phenomenal success!

I sounded just awful, that little meaty snip but, it's GONE! And only took a split second (plus the hours of nervous deliberation). Relatively painless, a little neosporin, a band-aid and voila!

But, I did it! I cut the darn thing off!

Thanks for the words of "can do! " to everyone!

I am 37 years old. I began to get skin tags sometime after 30. Both my mother and my grandmother have skin tags. I have in the past cut them off with nail clippers. That worked, but I have a hard time being brave enough to do that!! I tried the Iodine cure. I bought a bottle of 2% iodine from my local grocery store. I applied it morning and night to three skin tags. Two were inside my belly button and one on my hip. The belly button ones really bug me. After one week, one completely fell off in the shower, and the other one is shrinking and drying up. The hip one turned dark, and is hard, and seems like it will fall off soon. The hip one is bigger, so naturally I imagine it will take a little longer. I am so excited to have found a painless cure! Thank you earth clinic!

I read here something about iodine curing skin tags, so I decided what the heck. I used the iodine twice a day on a skin tag on my underarm, and nothing much happened for a while, other than the skin around it getting red and irritated, but then this morning, the skin tag was black. Later on, when I went to check it, it was gone!! Wow - it really works. Thank you for this informative and fun website.

I had two skin tags on my areola and being strapped for cash, I couldn't afford to pay a doctor to remove them. So I came on here and read about the iodine cure. It really works! I couldn't believe it. I used it 3x a day, sort of soaking the whole tag with the bottle applicator stick, then going over it with a small makeup brush to cover all the surface area. The smaller tag came off first when I pulled on it in the bathtub. The larger one took almost two weeks, but I was persistent and kept going. It got hard and sort of peeled, and then the "root" of the skin tag got smaller and smaller until it looked like it was going to fall off, but I had to help it by pulling a bit. It stung and bled a little, but all that was left was a tiny scab, which is gone now and there is absolutely no trace of either skin tag. The skin around it was stained for a few days but if that is the only side effect, then so be it! Much better than dealing with the doc and having to get referrals to a dermatologist. It only cost me 3 bucks. I'm amazed. Thanks for your advice everyone!

Bacitracin Ointment

I had wrote you earlier: e-mail: BACITRACIN OINTMENT... update on the above progress, I ordered the Lugol's Iodine and started putting in on my melonoma looking thing, I started putting the Lugol's iodine and bacitration alternating and the spot is almost gone, Lugol's apprantly works faster, I know it is a lot thicker and it does seem to irritate it more, but I think that is just part of the process, because it started flaking off more and more each day

I tried the ACV and after the 3rd day, its started to burn my skin. I decided to move on. I was so disappointed but I'm still hopeful. I'm moving on the string option! Wish me luck!

So it's three days into tying the dental floss on the big one and that really isn't too bad on the pain front, quite sore where it is tied, but nothing compared to the agony of the ACV. I have now started painting the tags with nail polish, as this is helping to dry them out and although it stings when you first apply, it's nowhere near as painful as ACV and it settles after a while. At this stage, they are still white and hard, and the tied- off one has gone very hard, and has swollen to much bigger than it was, but they are all tender. It's a case of showering after every toilet trip as it is too painful to touch any of them with tissue. Sitting down is interesting, but is possible on a soft surface. There have been two nights when the pain disturbed my sleep so far, so not that bad.

It's a nightmare really, but it will be worth it if they all come off. Altogether this has been going on for ten days now, but painful though it is , there's no going back, I will see this through to the end however. I have to do it as I am single and I am too embarrassed to have sex with anyone. I did think about cutting the big one off, but I cut a small one under my arm off last night (totally painless by the way, didn't even bleed-just snipped it right near the base with nail clippers -don't go too close to the skin, that will hurt) and decided against it as I know it's going to hurt like hell. Anal tags are not like other tags --they have feeling. The one under my arm didn't. I might cut the big one off if it dries up some more, because I could see what I was doing better with that one out of the way. Update soon.

I've had two anal skin tags for several years that were recently getting bigger, one getting longer and the other getting thicker and longer - it was almost like a biggish, round, hard ball at one point. The thicker one was getting so big, I could at times feel it when I was walking, which was a bit scary, to say the least. More were also appearing around the same location (seemed like all of a sudden).

After reading about people's experiences on this site and trying several of the remedies, what has been most successful for me, is apple cider vinegar (with the mother). After trying several different methods, I discovered that filling a cylindrical clear top with acv, e.g. top of hair smoother pump bottle, and holding that over the skin tags allowed them to soak in the Apple Cider Vinegar (which worked better than Qtip or cotton balls). I started doing this 2 times a day for about 5-7 mins. I put vaseline around the area first. They started to immediately get smaller. After a week or so, I also started to drink about 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of acv, diluted in a glass of water, once a day. Occasionally I missed a day with my 'treatment' but it didn't seem to set it back at all. It's now about 10-12 days later and the difference is huge. The two are so much smaller and the ones that had started to develop have just disappeared and the surrounding skin looks normal again. I'll keep up with the treatment obviously, which has had fantastic results. I have had no real discomfort - just have to use the vaseline and I feel so much better! The area looks so much more normal now - amazing to see the develping ones disappear. I tried iodine and tea tree oil, but never really saw any noticeable improvement. Thank you so much to all the people who contributed to this site - your help has been life changing!!

I have to tell you I am quite shocked. I've been doing 30 mg worked up to 110 mg a day of borax past few months. I started it for my 2 knee arthritis which it has helped I still have pain but it's not the light me up screaming pain when I move it the wrong way. It's also helping my Candida overgrowth which I'm overjoyed about. But what really sets borax apart for me is I haven't read this from anybody yet.… Are you ready for this? Skin tag Yep that's right. I never get skin tags but about 10 years ago I got a skin tag in a private area. And it was a good quarter inch long. It's been there like I said for about 10 years. Well two months into doing the Borax and guess what the skin tag is almost all gone from taking borax orally! I am so happy this stuff is amazing I'm doing 110 mg and I am a woman, but this is a treatment dose, sure I will end up with the maintenance dose once everything feels better.

I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatique and other co issues. Eliminating my Candida overgrowth that I've been fighting for 20 years is just a blessing. This stuff is amazing I started my own Facebook group to give people support we all talk about how great it's been using borax thank you for all you do we use a lot of your videos to encourage people. I just haven't found anybody talking about borax and skin tags again this was orally, I did not apply it to the skin tag that's what really trips me out. I bet if somebody put it on a cotton ball and held it on their skin tags it would work even faster! God bless keep up the good work.

first time poster. I used ACV to remove a minuscule skin tag that was on my scrotum. I've had it for years, and I only recently thought about removing it.

So I soaked a cotton ball with Braggs ACV and taped it over the skin tag over night. I may think I applied far too much.

the next day the skin tag was practically gone, but unaffected areas on my scrotum turned black, under the skin. I think I severely burned parts of my penis. Healthy skin is now a black color. Is this permenant? I immediately started to apply neosporin, and have been for the last two days (these burns only showed up yesterday). Haven't noticed much improvement.

The irony is, these black burn marks are very noticible, compared to the skin tag which was the size of a pin-head. Did I permanently damage healthy skin? What should I do besides use neosporin? It really does look like the burns aren't on the surface, they look like they're below a layer of skin. They're not all together, sort of spread out with reddish irritation on the skin between burns.

its only been one full day since I noticed the burns and two since removing the skin tag.

Any responses would help. Thank you!

I had a skin tag about the size of a corn's kernel. I used thuja but the tag was too big. Thuja only removed 1/3 of the tag and nothing from its root. After a month I tried again thuja and ACV but the big tag had become immune!

In just 13 hours of applying bloodroot (or better black salve) the huge tag had withered completely and started forming into a scab. I put a small quantity on the tag and also on the cotton above. Then put some pressure also with a bondage above. I also had filed the tag with a nail's file and did 0.5mm dermarolling on the tag in order to make the skin more permeable for the black salve to penetrate.

For 13 years I had this big annoying tag and now I removed it only in few days with black salve! I didn't pull the scub. Somehow the immune system removes the tag slowly after the application. Not much scarring and burning as some people in youtube make people afraid of bloodroot. Just scarring on the tag. My hair protected the surrounding tissue also from becoming red. No pain.

Here is a photo of my second big skin tag, removed with black salve. The dead cells of the tag have become a scab which have fallen about the 10th day after applycation.

I tried to overdo with the application the second time so I did put much greater quantity of the salve and bondage it for 24 hours instead of 12-14. It wasn't a good idea. The surrounding area got a small surrounding scab too but came of in just a few days. With carefull small application there is much smaller side effects.

Bloodroot is great and kills the bad tissue more easily than hurting the healthy surrounding tissue.

Oregano Essential Oils

Essential Oils can remove skin tags in no time. Best results I have had are with undiluted organic essential Oregano Oil, dab on tag only trying not to get on healthy tissue twice a day. Tags will turn black and fall off within a week to 10 days. Some people's bodies do not react well to Oregano oil, then I suggest Lemon Oil but it takes 5 weeks sometimes for the skin tags to fall off.

I would like to ask for info on removing flat skin tags, the ones that can't be tied off. The tag is nearly 1/4" across and almost the shape of a circle. Unfortunately the tag is on a very obvious place on my face. I have oregano oil on hand that I have been applying for two days. I am wondering if it would be more effective to peel back the top layer of skin so that the oregano oil can soak in faster. I'd appreciate some feedback about this. Thank you!

The Tweezer Method

I recently noticed two small skin tags on my neck. I cleaned the area and my pointed tweezers with hydrogen peroxide and then tweezed them as close as I could to the normal skin by squeezing the tweezers hard and pulling at the same time. Both skin tags came off easilly and then I cleaned up the tiny amount of blood with a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide and that was it.

That was about two weeks ago and you can't tell where those skin tags used to be. Art

The Rip It Off Method

The Rip It Off Method for skin tags is a?fantastic method! I was reading the entire page as recently a small skin tag grew on my neck, above shirt line area, and I was considering what methods other than the string (which seems the most secure but requires you to walk around with a string hanging off your neck) I could use. I had already decided to give the oregano and tea three oils a try, may be some garlic juice too, but knew I would have to wait for days for what may be no results at all...Then I got to the rip it off section, immediately decided I wouldn't do it as it scared me, but proceeded to read other people's posts on it. Then, as I was reading, I suppose subconsciously, I grabbed the skin tag, twisted and slightly pulled it and BOOM- it came right off! As I looked at it (the size or a rice grain) I couldn't believe my eyes, and touched my neck to confirm, then I saw a tiny bit of blood on my finger. Went to the bathroom, and sure enough- no skin tag, blood was less than a picked at pimple would bleed and stopped immediately. Zero pain. The tag was only about 10 days old but grew very fast. I recommend this method.
