Sickle Cell Disease Remedies

| Modified on Apr 05, 2015

Natural treatments for Sickle Cell Anemia aim to reverse the condition by stimulating growth of healthy red blood cells and oxygenating the body. Several nutritional supplements and home remedies like hydrogen peroxide can be used to achieve effective treatment of this condition.

What is Sickle Cell Anemia?

Sickle cell anemia is defined as an inherited blood condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen throughout the body. Symptoms of the condition include anemia, periodic episodes of pain, swollen hands and feet, frequent infections, delayed growth and vision problems. The condition is caused by a genetic mutation in the gene that orders hemoglobin production.

Natural Remedies for Abnormal Red Blood Cells

Treatment for sickle cell focuses on replenishing the body’s supply of healthy red blood cells as well as providing the body with enough oxygen to function well. Nutritional supplements including vitamin B17, chlorophyll and hydrogen peroxide are effective treatments for the condition. Eating a balanced and highly nutritional diet also helps mediate the disorder.

Vitamin B17

Vitamin B17 is an important nutrient that has often been overlooked. Its extracted form, laetrile is a substance that targets damaged cells, eliminates them and stimulates the production of new healthy cells. The compound is also an important component of a variety of metabolic processes.

Chlorophyll is a naturally occurring molecule that is involved in photosynthesis of plants. This molecule also functions as an effective treatment for sickle cell, however. Chlorophyll is unique in that it very closely resembles a human’s red blood cells, meaning that it is also functional as a blood cleanser, blood builder and oxygen booster.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a natural germicidal agent composed of strictly water and oxygen. Used as an inhalant, hydrogen peroxide delivers additional oxygen to the blood. This supplemental oxygen helps the body function more optimally and reverses the symptoms of sickle cell anemia.

A fairly serious condition, sickle cell anemia causes the slowing of blood flow and oxygen to different parts of the body. Effective natural treatments, however, regenerate the blood and replenish oxygen flow to alleviate the symptoms associated with the condition.

I have heard that b17 or Dioscovite can help with sickle cell anemia. I am saddened by the fact that I never heard of these natural remedies before. Now that I am aware I want to share the knowledge. I have started my 15yr old son on 100mg b17 tablets, he is doing well so far. If that doesnt work then I will give the Dioscovite a try.

I have the trait but I believe that I still have some of the same symptoms as the actual disease. Do you think taking this will help ease some of the pain I experience.

I recently found out about foods high in nitrilosides I will incorporate this into my childs diet. Also wheatgrass juice and chloryphyll combo is essential to providing the cells with oxygen even when you are having a crises.
