Witch Hazel
It's a new day, yes, thankfully. We overcome!
Has anyone tried to use witch hazel over a long period of time for prolapsed bladder. I use it topically for rashes and skin tags from 3-episiotomies that the skin couldn't hold the stitches and now are little skin tags, so fun..... NOT!
I know witch hazel is used to shrink hemmorhoids, in suppositories... I use it to tighten skin on my face, especially around the eyes. Basically love the stuff.
Been trying to put it in the vaginal cavity with finger and get bladder to go back up.

To UPDATE in the prolapsed bladder site my post on witch hazel.... Day 4, bladder is mostly up and I reapply the witch hazel with my finger if it drops but not until I notice it is down. Mostly it is up.
I AM SOOOOO THANKFUL TO HAVE RELIEF!!! Hope this helps all you fellow sufferers out there!
Been doing one application midday. There is a product that tightens the vagina with another plant astringent on amazon available. Witch hazel is less expensive. Plan to try some jojoba oil with it next.

I just found this site and wanted to see if the witch hazel is still working. Been trying to figure out a solution for bladder prolapse for many years (I've had 9 babies and I need something! ).

Every time I use it, it pulls the bladder back up into place.... Not a perfect fix -but MUCH BETTER than not using it. There is another person that uses red raspberry leaf tea to pull her bladder back into place, she drinks a lot of tea every day.
One more thing that helps a LOT is magnesium citrate.

I always use the walmart cheap brand. Any plant that is astringent pulls things tight. Use a little cream if you use it a lot . I would use the walmart miconazole, not expensive and helps. That reminds me you can buy vagicaine right next to it to stop vaginal pain. Love that. I learned a lot with a stage 4 prolapse. I have battled it 11 years and >>> I am overcoming it. I do lots of raking, digging, dragging tarps of debris and yes I still have it but the pain is mostly a thing of the past. I use colace, store brand from walmart for any constipation issues, no cramps or runs. I use an inversion table > don't go all the way back, even putting blocks under the foot of bed would help, but I wouldn't sleep that way, just do it for 15 minutes a day or so . Give your pelvic a break. It's actually tendons and ligaments that hold that bladder in place. I am not sure but I think collagen affects that. Coughing is bad for prolapse. Underwear that hold lower pelvic tightly upward, but not push on stomach Because that pushes bladder down. Tension in the abdomen pushes the bladder down. I got the information on a pamphlet from the doctor that three organs can fall into the vaginal opening, so it's best to figure it out and save yourself from those others dropping. Magnesium is the muscle mineral. I good mineral supplement is important.
I would encourage you to go to youtube and watch Eric Berg on cortisol because stress is what led to my health issues and if I could have known I might have avoided a lot of suffering.
Here are my favorites ....faith that I am overcoming is number one because prolapse is very uncomfortable. Sit on a core ball to get relief. One pain trick is Oscillococcinum relieves body pain. Another is if you get in the bathtub up to your neck it tricks your body to think the pain is coming from a larger area and feels very relaxing. Drink water, water surrounding our skin pulls water out of our body.( prune fingers) MSM and Vitamin C for tissue repairs.
I use emerita phytoestrogen cream and progesterone cream in small amounts. I use progesterone inside the vagina and estrogen above the pubic hair line. I do this every day after a shower. For me it's the size of a pea of each one. I know if I miss a day.
I also use dhea 10mg one every four days to counter cortisol.
I can say I haven't tried castor oil packs on it but castor oil works on face pain, mouth pain, liver pain, stomach pain, back pain. Nicknamed palm of Christ. Messy miracle oil.
Currently, I am using a lot of comfrey, I make tea and then eat the leaves I made the tea from. I pick 5-7, 6" leaves a day. It regenerates cells.
I know a few people who had the surgery and lifted something too heavy once and had to have the surgery again. They were happy with the surgery. One was a neighbor with 9 kids.
I would also suggest a good chiropractor in case childbirth caused a misalignment issue in your spine. John Bergman on youtube teaches some very interesting insights on this subject. My sis in law had to have a hysterectomy and she was a mail driver. I think having a foot on the pedal all day could have misaligned her spine and created the circulation issues. Just throwing that out there. She is super fit, strong, amazing body. My spouse's family are physically capable of wonders. I do not have that type of body.
Lugols iodine drops in the vagina reset the uterus hormone and does wonders. I use one of those tiny sample spoons and put 3 drops up there, while on my back on a towel. Pretty messy. Iodine lowers selenium so be aware of that in your diet. Low selenium causes cancer to grow.
I use 20 mule team borax, a pinch a day in my water that I drink, and chanca piedra to keep from getting kidney stones as borax releases calcium out of soft tissue, wonderful to heal arthritis and joint issues. Borax affects hormones and when I get it right I don't have to pluck hairs on my face . ( mid 60's)
Vitamin d-3 and K-2 help process calcium and also horsetail herb.
I can't remember it all but you can pick and choose what you want to try. If you try emerita, use progesterone first and be patient it might cause distress at first but well worth it. Blessings, Charity

My prolapse had an added issue of bowel and bladder incontinence from the ruptured L-5 disc that started it all. I shop at Ross because they have lots of variety. I found some stretchy 5 % elastin and 95% cotton low/mid rise that fit snug and I noticed when I wore them I had less pain from the bladder bump hanging down because they were supporting it. I wore three pairs of underwear at a time and changed them if needed . I never bought adult diapers or thick pads because I also battled yeast infections from candida most of my life. I don't have those now unless I do some form of a detox. I pray a lot and study a lot and take a lot of supplements. Low B-12 can cause bladder leaks. I start most days with ox bile because cortisol stops the body from producing bile and affects digestion( and mineral absorption) and that would affect prolapse. I learned some digestion stuff from Eric Berg. My comfrey use this week has led to very restful sleep. My plants just started to get spring leaves and I'm hoping to get complete cell renewal full body. A miracle would be nice too, praying for those. Blessings, charity

Prolapse Pelvic Support Belt | Gave Me Confidence to Get Back to Life (braceability.com) I have not used this but read the reviewers, they seem happy and it supports all three organs that fall. Remember you have to treat the cause or it can get worse. Pain sucks.

I can't understand why my posts seem to been ignored. Years ago I reported that I have no doubt the capsule, whether gelatin or vegetarian caused my prolapse. I provided details of how I knew. Accumulated hidden sources of MSG cause this too. This was a result of piecemeal learning by the process of elimination over several years.
Previously I reported my GI tract rupture then discovering intussusception and the sever between the anal canal and colon. Both of my babies had been breech but only one was cesarean. So, I am full of adhesions due to multiple surgeries. The reason I am saying all this again is because sources of MSG, especially capsules cause prolapse. The capsule alone was tested and was reported to be about 14 mg. of MSG.
I am in my 70's, weigh 100 lbs. and have no problem with prolapse until I ingest capsules. When prolapse occurs I use a tampon for a few hours or overnight. THIS REALLY DOES WORK. When my husband was alive, before he became ill, sometimes he helped (I don't think I have to detail how! ). C'mon ladies, try the tampons. In discovering this fact I sometimes had to use two but that was several years ago before I totally cleaned up my diet and had massive prolapse.

MSG can be a problem if you are low on L- Taurine, it's antidote.

There is not enough time to wait for regeneration to "lift" and try to heal placement. In my opinion and in my experience tampons provide immediate placement and can give the ligaments a better time to attach and heal while holding in place. I don't have to do it often. This last problem was caused by taking 2 Serrapeptase in capsules early in the morning. After eating a Bromelain in capsule then about 3-4 hours later I took 2 stool softeners in capsules. This combo, even though spaced apart caused very uncomfortable prolapse.

Yoga Exercises

I was diagnosed with cystocele about 2 years ago & immediately started searching for alternative healing methods. The first thing I found was a woman who did a special massage technique to help pull up/tone organs & also who recommended lots of Kegels. I've also explored herbs, homeopathy, essential oils, & energy healing--all of these things take time & can be costly, & I tend to be more of an herb person, so I do raspberry tea, & take vitex (chasteberry) & black cohosh for their "women benefits" (I am post-menopausal- hence the onset of my prolapse). Not seeing much of an improvement after several months of doing all of the above, I started searching the internet again & found an amazing book that is written by a women about pelvic organ prolapse. She goes into exhaustive detail about a women's anatomy (compared to a man's), how & why things happen & a non-surgical alternative--her own story is horrendous (she also explains all of the surgeries)--but she found, through much trial & error, a simple solution, basically a "posture" that you have to rethink, retrain yourself to do & a very simple exercise--not Kegels! Apparently Kegels are pretty useless because they only develop the muscles/tissues that help us eliminate, not hold things in! A more effective exercise is similar to a "cat-cow" yoga move while standing. Also, speaking of yoga, which was invented by a man for men, any posture which requires you to bend past 90 degrees (an oblique angle) makes you "push out", which is counter-productive. Do only yoga moves where you are bending 90 degrees or less ("pulling in"); inversions are good, like headstands & shoulder stands-- downward dog is especially do-able for most women--even sitting. I think also, properly nourishing yourself only makes sense, since you hopefully create an environment conducive to tissue improvement & healing (like strengthening capillaries & facia). I began to see improvement once I got serious & into a regular routine of the exercise & always trying to remember to do "the posture", plus doing a small yoga routine of headstand, child's pose & downward dog. I definitely think you have to give your body some type of gravity break! In time I am expecting to not only stop the progression, but to get some reversal as well.
Also, I found the comments about witch hazel very interesting & plan to try that as well! I say, try everything that doesn't sound too wacky! Good luck & lovely healing energy to all of you, my "sistahs".

Hi everyone,
I just found out I have a prolapsed bladder and rectum and am finding a lot of useful info. Thanks for that. No one has mentioned using a Squatty Potty and I think that would really help, especially if it isn't really the bladder, but pooping that is the problem. Has anyone used one and seen results?

Linda, if what you have is a prolapsed bladder (cystocele) I would not recommend a Squatty Potty. During the last 2 months, I noticed that squatting made my cystocele prolapse protrude even further and also made it very uncomfortable.

Linda,
I would like to retract my statement about the Squatty Potty. I have been reading other forums and it has been recommended frequently.
I looked it up today and read many reviews on "A" and it sounds like it will work really well! I ordered one and it will arrive in 2 days. Can't wait to try it out. People say that they thought they were eliminating completely until they got One and now they realize they weren't.
It's like a little stool where you raise your legs up to align your body correctly to eliminate while sitting on your commode. You are not squatting down. Hope this helps.
Good luck to you and God Bless.

The book is mentioned above. Christine Kent.
I have been following her advice since my uterus dropped slightly outside my vagina. The exercises had it back inside in just a few days. I still have a bit of cystocele and am happy to read about the witch hazel ideas.

I highly recommend Tashas Hab it Pelvic Floor Exercises. You can feel the difference in a short time and can feel the organs reposition as you do the exercises. She is a great teacher.
