Weight gain that does not come off

I am post menopausal. Work out with weights and yoga 5 days a week. Eat very healthy 2 meals a day, no snacking, sugar or drinks. I am fit and toned everywhere except the fact that I am have put on 10 lbs and it is only in the region between my sternum and pelvis.

I drink ACV every day, alkalize my body, etc. etc. I know all about estrogen being stored in the belly area, but this is more than that, and this stubborn bloating and distension is driving me crazy.

Does anyone have a similar story that they resolved through something natural? Please share.

Have you looked into "intermittent fasting"? I am 69 and doing 20/4 fasting. I eat (during my eating window of 4 hours) from noon to 4 o'clock two meals. No diet foods, just normal everyday type foods. I don't over do it of course but do not deny myself the foods I like. I do not weigh myself, just go by how my clothes fit. I went from an 18 down to a 12 now after 8 months. I will continue until I've reached my desired size. Some people are more comfortable having a longer eating window, such as 16/8 or 18/6 etc. I have more weight loss in the 20/4 range. I would never take a diet drug ever. Good luck in your weight loss journey! :)

Do not even consider Ozempic for weight loss. After taking it just once, it destroys your ability to digest food ever again! It has poisonous Gia Monster venom in it!

Hi Christi,

Diets sometimes work different for some than others; and yes health issues can be a problem; however, I have listed a few that knocked some pounds off for me in the past:

  • An easy diet once you get the swing of it, is one meal a day any time after a certain time. I did this as a consecration once, one meal after 3 o'clock. It was to be for few months, and I lost about forty pounds before the event. I was in my fifties at the time. It was easy because I did not have to change what I ate. I stayed on the diet several more months, losing about sixty pounds total. I kept the weight off until I started back with the extra meals during a vacation.
  • The cabbage diet works for someone who wants a quick weight lost. I lost about fourteen (14) pounds in 7 days. I would not suggest it, because a person may not realize that too much body fluid is quickly lost in this diet. But I must admit I was happy with my achievement. However, the weight slowly returned at my regular diet.
  • The Myo-Inositol also worked for me. The pounds are still off. It is said to balance hormones, and I guess my hormones must have been whacky. I lost about Five pounds each month, that was about 20 pounds the first four months. The weight lost slowed down after that. Overall since I started taking the Myo-Inositol a few years ago I have lost about 35 pounds altogether. When in doubt take the amount listed on the bottle. However, I still take two 500 mg capsules for a total 1000mgs daily. I still take it, because I feel like it helps me with stress.

Has anyone come up with any other remedies to help lose weight for growing menopause? I am planning towards drug therapy. Zepbound I believe that it's how it's spelled. The weight gain is causing other issues in my health and think it is a version of Ozempic. I am getting desperate now and don't want to be fat out of shape and unhealthy.

Anyone know how long this takes to work. I have been taking it for several weeks and no weight loss, only gain. I eat an anti inflammatory diet, but still about 20 lbs. over.
